Ezra 6

1 Then King Darius gaue commandement, and they made search in the librarie of the treasures, which were there layd vp in Babel.

۱ آنگاه داریوش پادشاه، فرمان داد تا در کتابخانه بابل که خزانه‌ها در آن موضوع بودتفحص کردند.

2 And there was founde in a coffer (in the palace that was in the prouince of the Medes) a volume, and therein was it thus written, as a memoriall,

۲ و در قصر احمتا که در ولایت مادیان است، طوماری یافت شد و تذکره‌ای درآن بدین مضمون مکتوب بود:

3 IN THE FIRST yeere of King Cyrus, King Cyrus made a decree for the house of God in Ierusalem, Let the house be buylt, euen the place where they offred sacrifices, and let the walles thereof be ioyned together: let the height thereof be three score cubites, and the breadth thereof three score cubites,

۳ «در سال اول کورش پادشاه، همین کورش پادشاه درباره خانه خدا در اورشلیم فرمان داد که آن خانه‌ای که قربانی‌ها در آن می‌گذرانیدند، بنا شود و بنیادش تعمیر گردد و بلندی‌اش شصت ذراع و عرضش شصت ذراع باشد.

4 Three orders of great stones, and one order of timber, and let the expenses be giuen of the Kings house.

۴ با سه صف سنگهای بزرگ ویک صف چوب نو. و خرجش از خانه پادشاه داده شود.

5 And also let them render the vessels of the house of God (of golde and siluer, which Nebuchadnezzar tooke out of the Temple, which was in Ierusalem, and brought vnto Babel) and let him goe vnto the Temple that is in Ierusalem to his place, and put them in the house of God.

۵ و نیز ظروف طلا و نقره خانه خدا راکه نبوکدنصر آنها را از هیکل اورشلیم گرفته، به بابل آورده بود پس بدهند و آنها را به‌جای خوددر هیکل اورشلیم باز برند و آنها را در خانه خدابگذارند.

6 Therefore Tatnai captaine beyond the Riuer, and Shethar Boznai, (and their companions Apharsecaie, which are beyonde the Riuer) be ye farre from thence.

۶ «پس حال‌ای تتنای، والی ماورای نهر وشتربوزنای و رفقای شما و افرسکیانی که به آنطرف نهر می‌باشید، از آنجا دور شوید.

7 Suffer ye the worke of this house of God, that the captaine of the Iewes and the Elders of the Iewes may buylde this house of God in his place.

۷ و به کار این خانه خدا متعرض نباشید. اما حاکم یهودو مشایخ یهودیان این خانه خدا را در جایش بنانمایند.

8 For I haue giuen a commandement what ye shall doe to the Elders of these Iewes, for the buylding of this house of God, that of the reuenues of the King, which is of the tribute beyonde the Riuer, there be incontinently expenses giuen vnto these men that they cease not.

۸ و فرمانی نیز از من صادر شده است که شما با این مشایخ یهود به جهت بنا نمودن این خانه خدا چگونه رفتار نمایید. از مال خاص پادشاه، یعنی از مالیات ماورای نهر، خرج به این مردمان، بلا تاخیر داده شود تا معطل نباشند.

9 And that which they shall haue neede of, let it be giuen vnto them day by day, whether it be yong bullockes, or rammes, or lambes for the burnt offrings of the God of heauen, wheate, salt, wine, and oyle, according to the appoyntment of the Priestes that are in Ierusalem, that there bee no fault,

۹ ومایحتاج ایشان را از گاوان و قوچها و بره‌ها به جهت قربانی های سوختنی برای خدای آسمان وگندم و نمک و شراب و روغن، برحسب قول کاهنانی که در اورشلیم هستند، روز به روز به ایشان بی‌کم و زیاد داده شود.

10 That they may haue to offer sweete odours vnto the God of heauen, and praye for the Kings life, and for his sonnes.

۱۰ تا آنکه هدایای خوشبو برای خدای آسمان بگذرانند و به جهت عمر پادشاه و پسرانش دعا نمایند.

11 And I haue made a decree, that whosoeuer shall alter this sentence, the wood shall be pulled downe from his house, and shall be set vp, and he shalbe hanged thereon, and his house shalbe made a dunghill for this.

۱۱ و دیگرفرمانی از من صادر شد که هرکس که این حکم راتبدیل نماید، از خانه او تیری گرفته شود و او برآن آویخته و مصلوب گردد و خانه او به‌سبب این عمل مزبله بشود.

12 And the God that hath caused his Name to dwell there, destroy all Kings and people that put to their hand to alter, and to destroy this house of God, which is in Ierusalem. I Darius haue made a decree, let it be done with speede.

۱۲ و آن خدا که نام خود را درآنجا ساکن گردانیده است، هر پادشاه یا قوم را که دست خود را برای تبدیل این امر و خرابی این خانه خدا که در اورشلیم است دراز نماید، هلاک سازد. من داریوش این حکم را صادر فرمودم، پس این عمل بلا تاخیر کرده شود.»

13 Then Tatnai the captaine beyond the Riuer, and Shethar Boznai and their companions, according to that which Darius had sent, so they did speedily.

۱۳ آنگاه تتنای، والی ماورای نهر و شتربوزنای و رفقای ایشان بروفق فرمانی که داریوش پادشاه فرستاده بود، بلاتاخیر عمل نمودند.

14 So the Elders of the Iewes builded, and they prospered by the prophecying of Haggai the Prophet, and Zechariah the sonne of Iddo, and they buylded and finished it, by the appoyntment of the God of Israel, and by the commandement of Cyrus and Darius, and Artahshashte king of Persia.

۱۴ و مشایخ یهود به بنا نمودن مشغول شدند و برحسب نبوت حجی نبی و زکریا ابن عدو کار را پیش بردند وبرحسب حکم خدای اسرائیل و فرمان کورش وداریوش و ارتحشستا، پادشاهان فارس آن را بنا نموده، به انجام رسانیدند.

15 And this house was finished the thirde day of the moneth Adar, which was the sixt yeere of the reigne of King Darius.

۱۵ و این خانه، در روزسوم ماه اذار در سال ششم داریوش پادشاه، تمام شد.

16 And the children of Israel, the Priestes, and the Leuites, and the residue of the children of the captiuitie kept the dedication of this house of God with ioy,

۱۶ و بنی‌اسرائیل، یعنی کاهنان و لاویان وسایر آنانی که از اسیری برگشته بودند، این خانه خدا را با شادمانی تبریک نمودند.

17 And offred at the dedication of this house of God an hundreth bullockes, two hundreth rams, foure hundreth lambes, and twelue goates, for the sinne of all Israel, according to the nomber of the tribes of Israel.

۱۷ و برای تبریک این خانه خدا صد گاو و دویست قوچ وچهارصد بره و به جهت قربانی گناه برای تمامی اسرائیل، دوازده بز نر موافق شماره اسباطاسرائیل گذرانیدند.

18 And they set the Priests in their order, and the Leuites in their courses ouer the seruice of God in Ierusalem, as it is written in the booke of Moses.

۱۸ و کاهنان را درفرقه های ایشان و لاویان را در قسمتهای ایشان، بر خدمت خدایی که در اورشلیم است برحسب آنچه در کتاب موسی مکتوب است قراردادند.

19 And the childre of the captiuitie kept the Passeouer on ye fourtenth day of the first moneth.

۱۹ و آنانی که از اسیری برگشته بودند، عیدفصح را در روز چهاردهم ماه اول نگاه داشتند.

20 (For the Priests and the Leuites were purified altogether) and they killed the Passeouer for all the children of the captiuitie, and for their brethren the Priests, and for themselues.

۲۰ زیرا که کاهنان و لاویان، جمیع خویشتن راطاهر ساختند و چون همه ایشان طاهر شدند، فصح را برای همه آنانی که از اسیری برگشته بودند و برای برادران خود کاهنان و برای خودشان ذبح کردند.

21 So the children of Israel which were come againe out of captiuitie, and all such as had separated themselues vnto them, from the filthines of the Heathen of the land, to seeke the Lord God of Israel, did eate,

۲۱ و بنی‌اسرائیل که ازاسیری برگشته بودند با همه آنانی که خویشتن را از رجاسات امت های زمین جدا ساخته، به ایشان پیوسته بودند تا یهوه خدای اسرائیل را بطلبند، آن را خوردند.

22 And they kept ye feast of vnleauened bread seuen dayes with ioy: for the Lord had made them glad, and turned the heart of the King of Asshur vnto them, to incourage them in the worke of the house of God, euen the God of Israel.

۲۲ و عید فطیر راهفت روز با شادمانی نگاه داشتند، چونکه خداوند ایشان را مسرور ساخت از اینکه دل پادشاه آشور را به ایشان مایل گردانیده، دستهای ایشان را برای ساختن خانه خدای حقیقی که خدای اسرائیل باشد، قوی گردانید.
