Ezra 10
1 Whiles Ezra prayed thus, and confessed himselfe weeping, and falling downe before the house of God, there assembled vnto him of Israel a very great Congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept with a great lamentation.
Während nun Esra also betete und sein Bekenntnis ablegte, weinte und vor dem Hause Gottes lag, versammelte sich zu ihm aus Israel eine sehr große Gemeinde von Männern, Frauen und Kindern; denn das Volk weinte sehr.
2 Then Shechaniah the sonne of Iehiel one of the sonnes of Elam answered, and sayd to Ezra, We haue trespassed against our God, and haue taken strange wiues of the people of the land, yet nowe there is hope in Israel concerning this.
Und Sechanja, der Sohn Jechiels, aus den Kindern Elams, antwortete und sprach zu Esra: Wir haben uns an unserm Gott versündigt, daß wir fremde Frauen aus den Völkern des Landes heimgeführt haben. Nun aber ist noch Hoffnung für Israel!
3 Now therfore let vs make a couenant with our God, to put away all the wiues (and such as are borne of them) according to the counsell of the Lord, and of those that feare the commandements of our God, and let it be done according to the Lawe.
Lasset uns nun einen Bund mit unserm Gott machen, daß wir alle Frauen und die von ihnen geboren sind, hinaustun nach dem Rat meines Herrn und derer, welche das Gebot unsres Gottes fürchten, daß man tue nach dem Gesetz.
4 Arise: for the matter belogeth vnto thee: we also wil be with thee: be of comfort and do it.
Mache dich auf; dir liegt die Sache ob, wir wollen dir beistehen; führe es mutig aus!
5 Then arose Ezra, and caused the chiefe Priestes, the Leuites, and all Israel, to sweare that they would doe according to this worde. So they sware.
Da stand Esra auf und nahm einen Eid von den obersten Priestern, von den Leviten und von ganz Israel, daß sie nach diesem Wort tun wollten. Und sie schwuren.
6 And Ezra rose vp from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Iohanan the sonne of Eliashib: he went euen thither, but he did eate neither bread, nor drunke water: for he mourned, because of the transgression of them of the captiuitie.
Und Esra stand auf vor dem Hause und ging in die Kammer Johanans, des Sohnes Eljaschibs. Er ging dort hinein und aß kein Brot und trank kein Wasser; denn er trug Leid wegen der Übertretung derer, die gefangen gewesen.
7 And they caused a proclamation to goe throughout Iudah and Ierusalem, vnto all them of the captiuitie, that they should assemble themselues vnto Ierusalem.
Und man ließ in Juda und Jerusalem ausrufen, daß alle, die gefangen gewesen, sich nach Jerusalem versammeln sollten,
8 And whosoeuer woulde not come within three dayes according to the counsel of the Princes and Elders, all his substance should be forfait, and he should be separate from the Congregation of them of the captiuitie.
und wer innert drei Tagen gemäß dem Rat der Obersten und Ältesten nicht kommen würde, dessen ganze Habe solle mit dem Bann belegt und er selbst aus der Gemeinde der aus der Gefangenschaft [Zurückgekehrten] ausgeschlossen werden.
9 Then all the men of Iudah and Beniamin assembled theselues vnto Ierusalem within three dayes, which was the twentieth day of the ninth moneth, and all the people sate in the streete of the house of God, trembling for this matter, and for the raine.
Da versammelten sich alle Männer von Juda und Benjamin in Jerusalem auf den dritten Tag, das war der zwanzigste Tag des neunten Monats. Und alles Volk saß auf dem Platze vor dem Hause Gottes, zitternd um der Sache willen und wegen des Regens.
10 And Ezra the Priest stoode vp, and said vnto them, Ye haue transgressed, and haue taken strange wiues, to increase the trespasse of Israel.
Und Esra, der Priester, stand auf und sprach zu ihnen: Ihr habt euch versündigt und habt fremde Frauen heimgeführt, womit ihr die Schuld Israels noch größer machtet.
11 Now therefore giue praise vnto the Lord God of your fathers, and do his will, and separate your selues from the people of the land, and from the strange wiues.
So leget nun dem HERRN, dem Gott eurer Väter, ein Bekenntnis ab und tut, was ihm wohlgefällig ist, und scheidet euch von den Völkern des Landes und von den fremden Frauen!
12 And all the Congregation answered, and sayd with a loude voyce, So will we do according to thy wordes vnto vs.
Da antwortete die ganze Gemeinde und sprach mit lauter Stimme: Es soll geschehen, wie du uns gesagt hast!
13 But the people are many, and it is a raynie weather, and we are not able to stande without, neither is it the worke of one day or two: for we are many that haue offended in this thing.
Aber des Volkes ist viel, und es ist Regenwetter, und man kann nicht hier draußen stehen; und es ist auch nicht ein Werk von einem oder zwei Tagen, denn wir haben der Übertretung zu viel gemacht.
14 Let our rulers stand therefore before all the Congregation, and let all them which haue taken strange wiues in our cities, come at the time appoynted, and with them the Elders of euery citie and the Iudges thereof, til the fierce wrath of our God for this matter turne away from vs.
Laßt doch unsere Obersten für die ganze Gemeinde einstehen; und alle, die in unsern Städten fremde Frauen heimgeführt haben, sollen zu bestimmten Zeiten kommen, und mit ihnen die Ältesten einer jeden Stadt und deren Richter, bis der Zorn unsres Gottes um dieser Sache willen von uns abgewandt wird.
15 Then were appoynted Ionathan the sonne of Asah-el, and Iahaziah the sonne of Tikuah ouer this matter, and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Leuites helped them.
Nur Jonatan, der Sohn Asahels, und Jehasia, der Sohn Tikwas, standen dagegen auf, und Mesullam und Sabbetai, der Levit, unterstützten sie.
16 And they of the captiuitie did so, and departed, euen Ezra the Priest, and the men that were chiefe fathers to the familie of their fathers by name, and sate downe in the first day of the tenth moneth to examine the matter.
Und die Kinder der Gefangenschaft taten also: der Priester Esra sonderte sich Männer aus, die Familienhäupter ihrer Stammhäuser, und diese alle mit Namen bezeichnet, die setzten sich am ersten Tage des zehnten Monats zur Untersuchung der Angelegenheit.
17 And vntill the first day of the first moneth they were finishing the businesse with al the men that had taken strange wiues.
Und sie erledigten die ganze Angelegenheit der Männer, die fremde Frauen heimgeführt hatten, bis zum ersten Tag des ersten Monats.
18 And of the sonnes of the Priests there were men founde, that had taken strange wiues, to wit, of the sonnes of Ieshua, the sonne of Iozadak, and of his brethren, Maaseiah, Aeliezer, and Iarib and Gedaliah.
Und es wurden unter den Söhnen der Priester, die fremde Frauen heimgeführt hatten, gefunden: von den Söhnen Jesuas, des Sohnes Jozadaks, und seinen Brüdern: Maaseja, Elieser, Jarib und Gedalja;
19 And they gaue their hads, that they would put away their wiues, and they that had trespassed, gaue a ramme for their trespasse.
die gaben ihre Hand darauf, daß sie ihre Frauen ausstoßen wollten, und sie bekannten die Schuld und [opferten] einen Schafbock für ihre Schuld.
20 And of the sonnes of Immer, Honani, and Zebadiah.
Von den Söhnen Immers: Hanani und Sebadja.
21 And of the sonnes of Harim, Maaseiah, and Eliiah, and Shemaiah, and Iehiel, and Vzziah.
Von den Söhnen Harims: Maaseja, Elia, Semaja, Jehiel und Usija.
22 And of ye sonnes of Pashur, Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethaneel, Iozabad, and Elasah.
von den Söhnen Pashurs: Eljeonai, Maaseja, Ismael, Netaneel, Josabad und Eleasar.
23 And of the Leuites, Iozabad and Shimei, and Kelaiah, (which is Kelitah) Pethahiah, Iudah and Eliezer.
Von den Leviten: Josabad, Simei, Kelajah, Petachia, Juda und Elieser.
24 And of the singers, Eliashib. And of the porters, Shallum, and Telem, and Vri.
Von den Sängern: Eliaschib. Von den Torhütern: Sallum, Telem und Uri.
25 And of Israel: of the sonnes of Parosh, Ramiah, and Iesiah, and Malchiah, and Miamin, and Eleazar, and Malchiiah, and Benaiah.
Und von Israel: Von den Söhnen Parhos: Ramja, Jischja, Malchija, Mijamin, Eleaser, Malchija und Benaja.
26 And of the sonnes of Elam, Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Iehiel, and Abdi, and Ieremoth, and Eliah.
Von den Söhnen Elams: Mattanja, Sacharja, Jechiel, Abdi, Jeremot und Elia.
27 And of the sonnes of Zattu, Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, and Ierimoth, and Zabad, and Aziza.
Von den Söhnen Sattus: Eljoenai, Eljaschib, Mattanja, Jeremot, Sabad und Asisa.
28 And of the sonnes of Bebai, Iehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, Athlai.
Von den Söhnen Bebais: Johanan, Hananja, Sabbai, Atlai.
29 And of the sonnes of Bani, Meshullam, Malluch, and Adaiah, Iashub, and Sheal, Ieramoth.
Von den Söhnen Banis: Mesullam, Mallach, Adaja, Jaschub, Scheal und Jeramot.
30 And of the sonnes of Pahath Moab, Adna, and Chelal, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattaniah, Bezaleel, and Binnui, and Manasseh.
Von den Söhnen Pachat-Moabs: Adna, Kelal, Benaja, Maaseja, Mattanja, Bezaleel, Binnui und Manasse.
31 And of the sonnes of Harim, Eliezer, Ishiiah, Malchiah, Shemaiah, Shimeon,
Von den Söhnen Harims: Elieser, Jischja, Malchija, Semaja, Simeon,
32 Beniamin, Malluch, Shamariah.
Benjamin, Mallach, Semarja.
33 Of the sonnes of Hashum, Mattenai, Mattattah, Zabad, Eliphelet, Ieremai, Manasseh, Shimei.
Von den Söhnen Hasums: Mattenai, Mattatta, Sabad, Eliphelet, Jeremai, Manasse, Simei.
34 Of the sonnes of Bani, Maadai, Amram, and Vel,
Von den Söhnen Banis: Mahadai, Amram und Uel,
35 Banaiah, Bediah, Chelluh,
Benaja, Bedja, Keluhu,
36 Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib,
Vanja, Meremot, Eljaschib.
37 Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Iaasau,
Mattanja, Mattenai, Jahasai,
38 And Banni, and Bennui, Shimei,
Bani, Binnui, Simei,
39 And Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah,
Selemja, Natan, Adaja,
40 Machnadebai, Shashai, Sharai,
Machnadbai, Sasai, Sarai,
41 Azareel, and Shelemiah, Shemariah,
Asareel, Selemja, Semarja,
42 Shallum, Amariah, Ioseph.
Sallum, Amarja, Joseph.
43 Of the sonnes of Nebo, Ieiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Iadau, and Ioel, Benaiah.
Von den Söhnen Nebos: Jechiel, Mattitja, Sabad, Sebina, Jaddai, Joel, Benaja.
44 All these had taken strange wiues: and among them were women that had children.
Diese alle hatten fremde Frauen genommen; und unter diesen Frauen waren etliche, welche Kinder geboren hatten.
