Ezra 10
1 Whiles Ezra prayed thus, and confessed himselfe weeping, and falling downe before the house of God, there assembled vnto him of Israel a very great Congregation of men and women and children: for the people wept with a great lamentation.

2 Then Shechaniah the sonne of Iehiel one of the sonnes of Elam answered, and sayd to Ezra, We haue trespassed against our God, and haue taken strange wiues of the people of the land, yet nowe there is hope in Israel concerning this.
Tete Yehiel ƒe vi, Sekania, Elam ƒe dzidzimeviwo dometɔ ɖeka, gblɔ na Ezra be, “Míeto nyateƒe na míaƒe Mawu la o, to dutanyɔnuwo ɖeɖe me tso dukɔ siwo ƒo xlã mí la me. Togbɔ be ele alea hã la, mɔkpɔkpɔ gali na Israel ko.
3 Now therfore let vs make a couenant with our God, to put away all the wiues (and such as are borne of them) according to the counsell of the Lord, and of those that feare the commandements of our God, and let it be done according to the Lawe.
Azɔ la, mina míabla nu le míaƒe Mawu la ŋkume be míatrɔ nyɔnu siawo katã kple woƒe viwo aɖo ɖa, le nye aƒetɔ ƒe aɖaŋuɖoɖo kple ame siwo vɔ̃a míaƒe Mawu la ƒe sededewo ƒe nya nu. Mina míawɔe ɖe sea nu.
4 Arise: for the matter belogeth vnto thee: we also wil be with thee: be of comfort and do it.
Tsi tsitre, nya sia le asiwò me. Míade megbe na wò, eya ta tso nàlé dzi ɖe ƒo eye nàwɔe.”
5 Then arose Ezra, and caused the chiefe Priestes, the Leuites, and all Israel, to sweare that they would doe according to this worde. So they sware.
Ale Ezra tsitre eye wòna nunɔla tsitsiawo, Levitɔwo kple Israel blibo la ka atam be woawɔ ɖe susu si wodo ɖa la dzi. Tete woka atam la.
6 And Ezra rose vp from before the house of God, and went into the chamber of Iohanan the sonne of Eliashib: he went euen thither, but he did eate neither bread, nor drunke water: for he mourned, because of the transgression of them of the captiuitie.

7 And they caused a proclamation to goe throughout Iudah and Ierusalem, vnto all them of the captiuitie, that they should assemble themselues vnto Ierusalem.
Le esia megbe la, woɖe gbeƒã le Yuda kple Yerusalem katã be ame siwo katã gbɔ tso aboyome la naƒo ƒu ɖe Yerusalem.
8 And whosoeuer woulde not come within three dayes according to the counsel of the Princes and Elders, all his substance should be forfait, and he should be separate from the Congregation of them of the captiuitie.
Ame si meva le ŋkeke etɔ̃ me o la, abu eƒe nunɔamesiwo katã le ametsitsiawo kple dɔnunɔlawo ƒe nyametsotso nu, eye woaɖe amea ɖa le aboyometsolawo ƒe hame.
9 Then all the men of Iudah and Beniamin assembled theselues vnto Ierusalem within three dayes, which was the twentieth day of the ninth moneth, and all the people sate in the streete of the house of God, trembling for this matter, and for the raine.
Le ŋkeke etɔ̃ me la, Yuda kple Benyamin ŋutsuwo katã va ƒo ƒu ɖe Yerusalem. Ale le dzinu asiekelia ƒe ŋkeke blaevea gbe la, ameawo katã va nɔ anyi ɖe xɔxɔnu si dze ŋgɔ Mawu ƒe aƒe la. Wonɔ dzodzom nyanyanya le nya sia kple tsi gã si nɔ dzadzam la ta.
10 And Ezra the Priest stoode vp, and said vnto them, Ye haue transgressed, and haue taken strange wiues, to increase the trespasse of Israel.
Nunɔla Ezra tsitre gblɔ na wo be, “Miewɔ nuteƒe o, mieɖe dutanyɔnuwo, hedzi Israel ƒe agɔdzedze ɖe edzi.
11 Now therefore giue praise vnto the Lord God of your fathers, and do his will, and separate your selues from the people of the land, and from the strange wiues.
Azɔ la, miʋu nu vɔ̃ me na Yehowa, mia fofowo ƒe Mawu la, eye miwɔ eƒe lɔlɔ̃nu. Miɖe mia ɖokuiwo ɖa tso dukɔ siwo ƒo xlã mi la gbɔ, eye miɖe asi le miaƒe dutanyɔnuwo ŋu.”
12 And all the Congregation answered, and sayd with a loude voyce, So will we do according to thy wordes vnto vs.
Ameha la ɖo eŋu nɛ kple gbe sesẽ be, “Wò nya la le eteƒe! Ele be míawɔ abe ale si nègblɔ ene,
13 But the people are many, and it is a raynie weather, and we are not able to stande without, neither is it the worke of one day or two: for we are many that haue offended in this thing.
gake ame geɖewo le afi sia, eye wònye tsidzaŋɔli hã, ale míate ŋu anɔ tsitre ɖe gota o. Gawu la, womate ŋu awɔ nya sia ŋu dɔ le ŋkeke ɖeka alo eve me o, elabena míewɔ nu vɔ̃ gã aɖe le nu sia me.
14 Let our rulers stand therefore before all the Congregation, and let all them which haue taken strange wiues in our cities, come at the time appoynted, and with them the Elders of euery citie and the Iudges thereof, til the fierce wrath of our God for this matter turne away from vs.
Na be míaƒe amegãwo nawɔ dɔ ɖe ameha la nu, na be, ame siwo le míaƒe duwo me, esiwo ɖe dutanyɔnuwo la nava ɖe ɣeyiɣi ɖoɖiwo dzi kple dumegãwo kpakple ʋɔnudrɔ̃la siwo le du siwo me wotso la me va se ɖe esime míaƒe Mawu la ƒe dziku dziŋɔ la nakɔ ɖa le mía dzi.”
15 Then were appoynted Ionathan the sonne of Asah-el, and Iahaziah the sonne of Tikuah ouer this matter, and Meshullam and Shabbethai the Leuites helped them.
Ame siwo tsi tsitre ɖe nya sia ŋu la koe nye, Yonatan, Asahel ƒe vi kple Yahzeya, Tikva ƒe vi eye Mesulam kple Sabetai, Levitɔ la, da megbe na wo.
16 And they of the captiuitie did so, and departed, euen Ezra the Priest, and the men that were chiefe fathers to the familie of their fathers by name, and sate downe in the first day of the tenth moneth to examine the matter.

17 And vntill the first day of the first moneth they were finishing the businesse with al the men that had taken strange wiues.

18 And of the sonnes of the Priests there were men founde, that had taken strange wiues, to wit, of the sonnes of Ieshua, the sonne of Iozadak, and of his brethren, Maaseiah, Aeliezer, and Iarib and Gedaliah.
Ame siawoe ɖe dutanyɔnu le nunɔlawo dome. Ame siwo ɖee tso Yozadak ƒe vi, Yesua kple nɔvia ŋutsuwo ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome la woe nye: Maaseya, Eliezer, Yarib kple Gedalia.
19 And they gaue their hads, that they would put away their wiues, and they that had trespassed, gaue a ramme for their trespasse.
Wo katã wodo asi ɖe dzi, ɖe adzɔgbe be, yewoaɖe asi le yewoƒe dutanyɔnuawo ŋu, eye ɖe woƒe agɔdzedze la ta la, ɖe sia ɖe na agbo ɖeka tso lãhawo dome abe nu vɔ̃ vɔsa ene.
20 And of the sonnes of Immer, Honani, and Zebadiah.
Tso Imer ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Hanani kple Zebadia.
21 And of the sonnes of Harim, Maaseiah, and Eliiah, and Shemaiah, and Iehiel, and Vzziah.
Tso Harim ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Maaseya, Eliya, Semaya, Yehiel kple Uzia.
22 And of ye sonnes of Pashur, Elioenai, Maaseiah, Ishmael, Nethaneel, Iozabad, and Elasah.
Tso Pasur ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Elioenai, Maaseya, Ismael, Netanel, Yozabad kple Eleasa.
23 And of the Leuites, Iozabad and Shimei, and Kelaiah, (which is Kelitah) Pethahiah, Iudah and Eliezer.
Tso Levitɔwo dome: Yozabad, Simei, Kelaya (alo Kelita), Petahia, Yuda kple Eliezer.
24 And of the singers, Eliashib. And of the porters, Shallum, and Telem, and Vri.
Tso hadzilawo dome: Eliasib. Tso agbonudzɔlawo dome: Salum, Telem kple Uri.
25 And of Israel: of the sonnes of Parosh, Ramiah, and Iesiah, and Malchiah, and Miamin, and Eleazar, and Malchiiah, and Benaiah.
Tso Israelvi bubuwo dome: Tso Paros ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Ramia, Izia, Malkiya, Miyamin, Eleazar, Malkiya kple Benaya.
26 And of the sonnes of Elam, Mattaniah, Zechariah, and Iehiel, and Abdi, and Ieremoth, and Eliah.
Tso Elam ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Matania, Zekaria, Yehiel, Abdi, Yeremot kple Eliya.
27 And of the sonnes of Zattu, Elioenai, Eliashib, Mattaniah, and Ierimoth, and Zabad, and Aziza.
Tso Zatu ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Elioenai, Eliasib, Matania, Yeremot, Zabad kple Aziza.
28 And of the sonnes of Bebai, Iehohanan, Hananiah, Zabbai, Athlai.
Tso Bebai ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Yehohanan, Hananiya, Zabai kple Atlai.
29 And of the sonnes of Bani, Meshullam, Malluch, and Adaiah, Iashub, and Sheal, Ieramoth.
Tso Bani ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Mesulam, Maluk, Adaya, Yasub, Seal kple Yeremot.
30 And of the sonnes of Pahath Moab, Adna, and Chelal, Benaiah, Maaseiah, Mattaniah, Bezaleel, and Binnui, and Manasseh.
Tso Pahat Moab ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Adna, Kelal, Benaya, Maaseya, Matania, Bezalel, Binui kple Manase.
31 And of the sonnes of Harim, Eliezer, Ishiiah, Malchiah, Shemaiah, Shimeon,
Tso Harim ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Eliezer, Isiya, Malkiya, Semaya, Simeon,
32 Beniamin, Malluch, Shamariah.
Benyamin; Maluk kple Semaria.
33 Of the sonnes of Hashum, Mattenai, Mattattah, Zabad, Eliphelet, Ieremai, Manasseh, Shimei.
Tso Hasum ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Matenai, Matata, Zabad, Elifelet, Yeremai, Manase kple Simei.
34 Of the sonnes of Bani, Maadai, Amram, and Vel,
Tso Bani ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Madai, Amram, Uel,
35 Banaiah, Bediah, Chelluh,
Benaya, Bedeya, Keluhi,
36 Vaniah, Meremoth, Eliashib,
Vania, Meremot, Eliasib,
37 Mattaniah, Mattenai, and Iaasau,
Matania, Matenai kple Yaasu.
38 And Banni, and Bennui, Shimei,
Tso Binui ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Simei,
39 And Shelemiah, and Nathan, and Adaiah,
Selemia, Natan, Adaya,
40 Machnadebai, Shashai, Sharai,
Maknadebai, Sasai, Sarai,
41 Azareel, and Shelemiah, Shemariah,
Azarel, Selemia, Semaria,
42 Shallum, Amariah, Ioseph.
Salum, Amaria kple Yosef.
43 Of the sonnes of Nebo, Ieiel, Mattithiah, Zabad, Zebina, Iadau, and Ioel, Benaiah.
Tso Nebo ƒe dzidzimeviwo dome: Yeiel, Matitia, Zabad, Zebina, Yadai, Yoel kple Benaya.
44 All these had taken strange wiues: and among them were women that had children.
Ame siawo katã ɖe dutanyɔnuwo, eye wo dometɔ aɖewo la, wo kple dutanyɔnuawo gɔ̃ hã dzi viwo.
