Ezekiel 9
1 He cryed also with a loude voyce in mine eares, saying, The visitations of the citie draw neere, and euery man hath a weapon in his hande to destroy it.
Och jag hörde honom ropa med hög röst och säga: "Kommen hit med hemsökelser över staden, och var och en have sitt mordvapen i handen."
2 And beholde, sixe men came by the way of the hie gate, which lieth towarde the North, and euery man a weapon in his hande to destroy it: and one man among them was clothed with linen, with a writers ynkhorne by his side, and they went in and stoode beside the brasen altar.
Och se, då kommo sex män från övre porten, den som vetter åt norr och var och en hade sin stridshammare i handen; och bland dem fanns en man som var klädd i linnekläder och hade ett skrivtyg vid sin länd. Och de kommo och ställde sig vid sidan av kopparaltaret.
3 And the glorie of the God of Israel was gone vp from ye Cherub, whereupon he was and stoode on the doore of the house, and he called to the man clothed with linnen, which had the writers ynkhorne by his side.
Och Israels Guds härlighet hade lyft sig från keruben, som den vilade på, och hade flyttat sig till tempelhusets tröskel, och ropade nu till mannen som var klädd i linnekläderna och hade skrivtyget vid sin länd;
4 And the Lord said vnto him, Goe through the middes of the citie, euen through the middes of Ierusalem and set a marke vpon the foreheads of them that mourne, and cry for all the abominations that be done in the middes thereof.
HERREN sade till honom: "Gå igenom Jerusalems stad, och teckna med ett tecken på pannan de män som sucka och jämra sig över alla styggelser som bedrivas därinne."
5 And to the other he said, that I might heare, Goe ye after him through the citie, and smite: let your eye spare none, neither haue pitie.
Och till de andra hörde jag honom säga: "Dragen fram i staden efter honom och slån ned folket; visen ingen skonsamhet och haven ingen misskund.
6 Destroy vtterly the old, and the yong, and the maides, and the children, and the women, but touch no man, vpon whome is the marke, and begin at my Sanctuarie. Then they began at the Ancient men, which were before the house.
Både åldringar och ynglingar och jungfrur, både barn och kvinnor skolen I dräpa och förgöra, men I mån icke komma vid någon som har tecknet på sig, och I skolen begynna vid min helgedom." Och de begynte med de äldste, med de män som stodo framför tempelhuset.
7 And he sayde vnto them, Defile the house, and fill the courtes with the slaine, then goe foorth: and they went out, and slewe them in the citie.
Han sade nämligen till dem: "Orenen tempelhuset, och fyllen upp förgårdarna med slagna; dragen sedan ut." Och de drogo ut och slogo ned folket i staden.
8 Nowe when they had slaine them, and I had escaped, I fell downe vpon my face, and cryed, saying, Ah Lord God, wilt thou destroy all the residue of Israel, in powring out thy wrath vpon Ierusalem?
Då nu jag blev lämnad kvar, när de så slogo folket, föll jag ned på mitt ansikte och ropade och sade: "Ack, Herre, HERRE, vill du då förgöra hela kvarlevan av Israel, eftersom du så utgjuter din vrede över Jerusalem?"
9 Then saide he vnto me, The iniquitie of the house of Israel, and Iudah is exceeding great, so that the lande is full of blood, and the citie full of corrupt iudgement: for they say, The Lord hath forsaken the earth, and the Lord seeth vs not.
Han sade till mig: "Israels och Juda hus' missgärning är alltför stor; landet är uppfyllt med orätt, och staden är full av lagvrängning. Ty de säga: 'HERREN har övergivit landet, HERREN ser det icke.'
10 As touching me also, mine eye shall not spare them, neither will I haue pitie, but will recompence their wayes vpon their heades.
Därför skall icke heller jag visa någon skonsamhet eller hava någon misskund, utan skall låta deras gärningar komma över deras huvuden."
11 And beholde, the man clothed with linen which had the ynkhorne by his side, made report, and saide, Lord, I haue done as thou hast commanded me.
Och mannen som var klädd i linnekläderna och hade skrivtyget vid sin länd kom nu tillbaka och gav besked och sade: "Jag har gjort såsom du bjöd mig."
