Ezekiel 7
1 Moreover the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Et la parole de l’Éternel vint à moi, disant:
2 Also thou sonne of man, thus saith the Lord God, An ende is come vnto the lande of Israel: the ende is come vpon the foure corners of the lande.
Et toi, fils d’homme! Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel, à la terre d’Israël: Une fin!… la fin vient sur les quatre coins du pays.
3 Nowe is the ende come vpon thee, and I wil sende my wrath vpon thee, and will iudge thee according to thy wayes, and will laye vpon thee all thine abominations.
Maintenant la fin [vient] sur toi, et j’enverrai sur toi ma colère, et je te jugerai selon tes voies, et je mettrai sur toi toutes tes abominations.
4 Neither shall mine eye spare thee, neither will I haue pitie: but I will laye thy waies vpon thee: and thine abomination shall bee in the middes of thee, and yee shall knowe that I am the Lord.
Et mon œil n’aura point compassion de toi, et je n’épargnerai pas; mais je mettrai tes voies sur toi, et tes abominations seront au milieu de toi; et vous saurez que je suis l’Éternel.
5 Thus saith the Lord God, Beholde, one euil, euen one euill is come.
Ainsi dit le Seigneur, l’Éternel: Un mal, un mal unique! Voici, il est venu!
6 An ende is come, the end is come, it watched for thee: beholde, it is come.
La fin est venue, la fin est venue! Elle se réveille contre toi; voici, elle vient!
7 The morning is come vnto thee, that dwellest in the lande: the time is come, the day of trouble is neere, and not the sounding againe of the mountaines.
Ton destin est venu sur toi, habitant du pays; le temps est venu, le jour est proche, – le trouble, et non le cri joyeux des montagnes.
8 Now I will shortly powre out my wrath vpon thee, and fulfil mine anger vpon thee: I will iudge thee according to thy wayes, and will lay vpon thee all thine abominations.
Maintenant, bientôt, je verserai sur toi ma fureur, et je consommerai ma colère contre toi, et je te jugerai selon tes voies, et je mettrai sur toi toutes tes abominations.
9 Neither shall mine eie spare thee, neither will I haue pitie, but I will laye vpon thee according to thy wayes, and thine abominations shalbe in the middes of thee, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord that smiteth.
Et mon œil n’aura point compassion, et je ne t’épargnerai pas; je te rendrai selon tes voies, et tes abominations seront au milieu de toi; et vous saurez que c’est moi, l’Éternel, qui frappe.
10 Beholde, the day, beholde, it is come: the morning is gone forth, the rod florisheth: pride hath budded.
Voici le jour, voici, il est arrivé! Le destin a germé, la verge a fleuri, la fierté s’est épanouie.
11 Crueltie is risen vp into a rod of wickednes: none of them shall remaine, nor of their riches, nor of any of theirs, neither shall there bee lamentation for them.
La violence s’élève pour être une verge de méchanceté. [Il ne reste] rien d’eux, ni de leur foule bruyante, ni de leur abondance de biens, ni de la magnificence au milieu d’eux.
12 The time is come, the day draweth neere: let not the byer reioyce, nor let him that selleth, mourne: for the wrath is vpon al the multitude thereof.
Le temps est venu, le jour s’est approché; que celui qui achète ne se réjouisse pas, et que celui qui vend ne mène pas deuil; car il y a une ardente colère sur toute sa foule bruyante.
13 For hee that selleth, shall not returne to that which is solde, although they were yet aliue: for the vision was vnto al the multitude thereof, and they returned not, neither doeth any encourage himselfe in the punishment of his life.
Car celui qui vend ne rentrera pas en possession de ce qui a été vendu, serait-il même encore en vie parmi les vivants; car la vision est touchant toute sa foule bruyante, elle ne sera point révoquée, et personne par son iniquité ne fortifiera sa vie.
14 They haue blowen the trumpet, and prepared all, but none goeth to the battel: for my wrath is vpon all the multitude thereof.
Ils ont sonné de la trompette et ont tout préparé; mais personne ne marche au combat, parce que l’ardeur de ma colère est sur toute sa foule bruyante.
15 The sword is without, and the pestilence, and the famine within: he that is in the field, shall dye with the sword, and he that is in the citie, famine and pestilence shall deuoure him.
L’épée est au-dehors, et la peste et la famine sont au-dedans: celui qui est aux champs mourra par l’épée; et celui qui est dans la ville, la famine et la peste le dévoreront.
16 But they that flee away from them, shall escape, and shalbe in the mountaines, like the doues of the valleis: all they shall mourne, euery one for his iniquitie.
Et leurs réchappés échapperont, et seront sur les montagnes comme les colombes des vallées, tous gémissant, chacun pour son iniquité.
17 All handes shalbe weake, and all knees shall fall away as water.
Toutes les mains deviendront lâches, et tous les genoux se fondront en eau.
18 They shall also girde them selues with sackecloth, and feare shall couer them, and shame shalbe vpon all faces, and baldnes vpon their heads.
Ils se ceindront de sacs, et le frisson les couvrira; la honte sera sur tous les visages, et toutes leurs têtes seront chauves.
19 They shall cast their siluer in the streetes, and their golde shalbe cast farre off: their siluer and their gold can not deliuer them in the day of the wrath of the Lord: they shall not satisfie their soules, neither fill their bowels: for this ruine is for their iniquitie.
Ils jetteront leur argent dans les rues, et leur or sera [rejeté] comme une impureté; leur argent ni leur or ne pourra les délivrer au jour de la fureur de l’Éternel; ils ne rassasieront pas leurs âmes, et ne rempliront pas leurs entrailles, car c’est ce qui a été la pierre d’achoppement de leur iniquité.
20 He had also set the beautie of his ornament in maiestie: but they made images of their abominations, and of their idoles therein: therefore haue I set it farre from them.
Et de la beauté de son ornement il a fait sa gloire; mais ils y ont fait des images de leurs abominations [et] de leurs choses exécrables. C’est pourquoi j’en ai fait pour eux une impureté abjecte;
21 And I will giue it into the handes of the strangers to be spoyled, and to the wicked of the earth to be robbed, and they shall pollute it.
et je l’ai livrée en pillage aux mains des étrangers, et pour butin aux méchants de la terre, et ils la profaneront.
22 My face will I turne also from them, and they shall pollute my secret place: for the destroyers shall enter into it, and defile it.
Et je détournerai d’eux ma face; et ils profaneront mon lieu secret; et les violents y entreront et le profaneront.
23 Make a chaine: for the lande is full of the iudgement of blood, and the citie is full of crueltie.
Fabrique la chaîne; car le pays est plein de coulpe de sang, et la ville est pleine de violence.
24 Wherefore I will bring the most wicked of the heathen, and they shall possesse their houses: I will also make the pompe of the mightie to cease, and their holie places shalbe defiled.
Et je ferai venir les iniques des nations, et ils posséderont leurs maisons; et je ferai cesser l’orgueil des forts, et leurs sanctuaires seront profanés.
25 When destruction commeth, they shall seeke peace, and shall not haue it.
La destruction vient; et ils chercheront la paix, mais il n’y en aura point.
26 Calamitie shall come vpon calamitie, and rumour shall bee vpon rumour: then shall they seeke a vision of the Prophet: but the Lawe shall perish from the Priest, and counsel from the Ancient.
Il viendra calamité sur calamité, et il y aura rumeur sur rumeur, et ils chercheront [quelque] vision de la part d’un prophète; mais la loi est périe de chez le sacrificateur, et le conseil, de chez les anciens.
27 The King shall mourne, and the prince shall be clothed with desolation, and the handes of the people in the land shall be troubled: I wil doe vnto them according to their waies, and according to their iudgements will I iudge them, and they shall knowe that I am the Lord.
Le roi mènera deuil, et les princes seront vêtus de stupeur, et les mains du peuple du pays trembleront: je leur ferai selon leur voie, et je les jugerai par leurs propres jugements; et ils sauront que je suis l’Éternel.
