Ezekiel 6
1 Again the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Og Herrens ord kom til mig, og det lød så:
2 Sonne of man, Set thy face towardes the mountaines of Israel, and prophecie against them,
Menneskesønn! Vend ditt åsyn mot Israels fjell og spå mot dem
3 And say, Ye mountaines of Israel, heare the worde of the Lord God: thus sayth the Lord God to the mountaines and to the hilles, to the riuers and to the valleis, Beholde, I, euen I will bring a sworde vpon you, and I will destroy your hie places:
og si: I Israels fjell! Hør Herrens, Israels Guds ord! Så sier Herren, Israels Gud, til fjellene og haugene, til bekkene og dalene: Se, jeg lar sverd komme over eder og gjør eders offerhauger til intet.
4 And your altars shalbe desolate, and your images of the sunne shalbe broken: and I will cast downe your slaine men before your idoles.
Eders altere skal ødelegges, og eders solstøtter knuses, og jeg vil la eders drepte falle for eders motbydelige avguders åsyn.
5 And I will lay the dead carkeises of the children of Israel before their idoles, and I will scatter your bones round about your altars.
Og jeg vil legge Israels barns døde kropper for eders motbydelige avguders åsyn og sprede eders ben rundt omkring eders altere.
6 In all your dwelling places the cities shalbe desolate, and the hie places shalbe laide waste, so that your altars shalbe made waste and desolate, and your idoles shalbe broken, and cease, and your images of the sunne shalbe cut in pieces, and your workes shalbe abolished.
Hvor I så bor, skal byene ødelegges og offerhaugene bli forlatt, forat eders altere må bli ødelagt og forlatt, og eders motbydelige avguder knust og gjort til intet, og eders solstøtter nedhugget, og eders henders verk utslettet;
7 And the slaine shall fall in the middes of you, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.
drepte menn skal falle midt iblandt eder, og I skal kjenne at jeg er Herren.
8 Yet will I leaue a remnant, that you may haue some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when you shalbe scattred through the countreyes.
Men jeg vil la en levning bli igjen, så nogen av eder undgår sverdet ute blandt folkene, når I blir spredt omkring i landene.
9 And they that escape of you, shall remember me among the nations, where they shalbe in captiuitie, because I am grieued for their whorish hearts, which haue departed from mee, and for their eyes, which haue gone a whoring after their idoles, and they shalbe displeased in them selues for the euils, which they haue committed in all their abominations.
Og de av eder som slipper unda, skal komme mig i hu blandt folkene, hvor de er i fangenskap, når jeg har knust deres utro hjerter som var veket fra mig, og deres øine som i utroskap fulgte deres motbydelige avguder; og de skal vemmes ved sig selv for de onde gjerningers skyld som de har gjort - for alle sine vederstyggeligheter,
10 And they shall knowe that I am the Lord, and that I haue not saide in vaine, that I woulde doe this euill vnto them.
og de skal kjenne at jeg er Herren. Det er ikke for ingen ting jeg har talt om å føre denne ulykke over dem.
11 Thus saith the Lord God, Smite with thine hand, and stretch forth with thy foote, and say, Alas, for all the wicked abominations of the house of Israel: for they shall fall by the sworde, by the famine, and by the pestilence.
Så sier Herren, Israels Gud: Slå dine hender sammen og stamp med din fot og rop akk og ve over alle de onde vederstyggeligheter i Israels hus; for de skal falle for sverdet, for hunger og for pest.
12 He that is farre off, shall dye of the pestilence, and he that is neere, shall fall by the sword, and hee that remaineth and is besieged, shall dye by the famine: thus will I accomplish my wrath vpon them.
Den som er langt borte, skal dø av pest, og den som er nær, skal falle for sverdet, og den som er igjen og er berget, skal dø av hunger, og jeg vil uttømme min harme på dem.
13 Then ye shall knowe, that I am ye Lord, when their slaine men shalbe among their idoles round about their altars, vpon euerie hie hill in al the toppes of the mountaines, and vnder euery greene tree, and vnder euerie thicke oke, which is the place where they did offer sweete sauour to all their idoles.
Og I skal kjenne at jeg er Herren, når deres drepte menn ligger midt iblandt deres motbydelige avguder, rundt omkring deres altere, på hver høi bakke, på alle fjelltoppene og under hvert grønt tre og hver løvrik terebinte, på alle de steder hvor de ofret alle sine motbydelige avguder en velbehagelig duft.
14 So will I stretch mine hand vpon them, and make the lande waste, and desolate from the wildernes vnto Diblath in all their habitations, and they shall know, that I am the Lord.
Og jeg vil rekke ut min hånd mot dem og gjøre landet til en ørk og et øde verre enn Dibla-ørkenen, hvor de så bor, og de skal kjenne at jeg er Herren.
