Ezekiel 36

1 Also thou sonne of man, prophesie vnto the mountaines of Israel, and say, Ye mountaines of Israel, heare the word of the Lord.

»Du aber, Menschensohn, sprich über das Bergland Israel folgende Weissagung aus: ›Ihr Berge Israels, vernehmt das Wort des HERRN!

2 Thus saith the Lord God, because the enemie hath sayde against you, Aha, euen the hye places of the world are ours in possession,

So hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: Weil der Feind über euch ausgerufen hat: Haha! Die Höhen sind verwüstet auf ewig, als Eigentum uns zugefallen! –,

3 Therefore prophesie, and say, Thus sayth the Lord God, Because that they haue made you desolate, and swallowed you vp on euery side, that ye might be a possession vnto the residue of the heathen, and ye are come vnto the lippes and tongues of men, and vnto the reproch of the people,

darum sprich folgende Weissagungen aus: So hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: Darum, ja eben darum, weil man euch angeschnaubt und von allen Seiten über euch gieriges Verlangen nach euch getragen hat, so daß ihr in den Besitz der noch übriggebliebenen Heidenvölker gekommen und ins Gerede der Zungen und in die üble Nachrede der Leute geraten seid –

4 Therefore ye mountaines of Israel, heare the worde of the Lord God, Thus sayth the Lord God to the mountaines and to the hilles, to the riuers, and to the valleys, and to the waste, and desolate places, and to the cities that are forsaken: which are spoyled and had in derision of the residue of the heathen that are round about.

darum, ihr Berge Israels, vernehmt das Wort Gottes des HERRN! So spricht Gott der HERR zu den Bergen und Hügeln, zu den Tälern und Schluchten, zu den öden Trümmerstätten und den verlassenen Städten, die den noch übriggebliebenen Heidenvölkern ringsum zur Beute und zum Gespött geworden sind –

5 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Surely in the fire of mine indignation haue I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which haue taken my lande for their possession, with the ioy of all their heart, and with despitefull mindes to cast it out for a pray.

darum spricht Gott der HERR also: Wahrlich, in glühendem Eifer rede ich gegen die noch übriggebliebenen Heidenvölker und gegen das gesamte Edom, weil sie mit schadenfrohen Herzen und völliger Gefühllosigkeit sich in den Besitz meines Landes gesetzt haben, um die Bewohner auszutreiben und auszuplündern.

6 Prophesie therfore vpon the land of Israel, and say vnto the mountaines, and to the hilles, to the riuers, and to the valleys, Thus sayth the Lord God, Behold, I haue spoken in mine indignation, and in my wrath, because yee haue suffered the shame of the heathen,

Darum weissage über das Land Israel und richte an die Berge und Hügel, an die Täler und Schluchten die Worte: So hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: Fürwahr, in meinem Eifer und in meinem Grimm rede ich, weil ihr den Hohn der Heidenvölker habt tragen müssen!‹

7 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, I haue lifted vp mine hand, surely the heathen that are about you, shall beare their shame.

Darum spricht Gott der HERR also: Ich hebe meine Hand auf zum Schwur, daß die Völkerschaften, die um euch her wohnen, ihre Schmähung selbst tragen sollen!‹«

8 But you, O mountaines of Israel, yee shall shoote forth your branches, and bring foorth your fruite to my people of Israel: for they are ready to come.

»›Ihr aber, ihr Berge Israels, sollt eure Zweige sprossen lassen und eure Früchte tragen für mein Volk Israel, denn gar bald werden sie heimkehren!

9 For behold, I come vnto you, and I wil turne vnto you, and ye shalbe tilled and sowen.

Denn wisset wohl: ich werde zu euch kommen und mich euch wieder zuwenden, und ihr sollt wieder besät und bepflanzt werden.

10 And I wil multiply the men vpon you, euen all the house of Israel wholly, and the cities shalbe inhabited, and the desolate places shalbe builded.

Ich will die Menschen auf euch zahlreich werden lassen, das ganze Haus Israel insgesamt, die Städte sollen wieder bewohnt und die Trümmer neu aufgebaut werden.

11 And I wil multiply vpon you man and beast, and they shall encrease, and bring fruite, and I will cause you to dwell after your olde estate, and I will bestowe benefites vpon you more then at the first, and ye shall know that I am the Lord.

Und ich werde Menschen und Vieh auf euch zahlreich machen: sie sollen sich mehren und fruchtbar sein; und ich will euch wieder bewohnt sein lassen wie in euren früheren Zeiten und euch noch mehr Gutes erweisen als je zuvor, damit ihr erkennt, daß ich der HERR bin!

12 Yea, I wil cause men to walke vpon you, euen my people Israel, and they shall possesse you, and ye shalbe their inheritance, and ye shall no more henceforth depriue them of men.

Menschen will ich wieder auf euch wandeln lassen, nämlich mein Volk Israel: die sollen dich wieder in Besitz nehmen, und du sollst ihnen als Erbbesitz gehören und sie hinfort nicht mehr ihrer Kinder berauben!‹«

13 Thus sayth the Lord God, because they say vnto you, Thou land deuourest vp men, and hast bene a waster of thy people,

So hat Gott der HERR (zum Lande) gesprochen: »Weil man dir vorgeworfen hat, du seiest eine Menschenfresserin gewesen und eine Kindesmörderin für dein eigenes Volk,

14 Therefore thou shalt deuoure men no more, neither waste thy people henceforth, sayth the Lord God,

darum sollst du hinfort keine Menschen mehr fressen und dein Volk nicht mehr kinderlos machen!« – so lautet der Ausspruch Gottes des HERRN.

15 Neither will I cause men to heare in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou beare the reproche of the people any more, neither shalt cause thy folke to fal any more, saith the Lord God.

»Und ich will dich hinfort nicht länger die Schmähung der Heiden hören lassen, und den Hohn der Völker sollst du nicht mehr zu tragen haben und sollst deine Bevölkerung nicht mehr ihrer Kinder berauben!« – so lautet der Ausspruch Gottes des HERRN.

16 Moreouer the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

Weiter erging das Wort des HERRN an mich folgendermaßen:

17 Sonne of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their owne lande, they defiled it by their owne wayes, and by their deedes: their way was before me as the filthinesse of the menstruous.

»Menschensohn, solange die vom Hause Israel in ihrem Lande wohnten, verunreinigten sie es durch ihren Wandel und ihr ganzes Tun; ihr Wandel war vor meinen Augen wie die Unreinheit einer Frau, die ihren Blutgang hat.

18 Wherfore I powred my wrath vpon them, for the blood that they had shed in the land, and for their idoles, wherewith they had polluted it.

Da ließ ich denn meinem Zorn gegen sie freien Lauf wegen des Blutes, das sie im Lande vergossen hatten, und wegen ihres Götzendienstes, durch den sie es verunreinigt hatten.

19 And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries for according to their wayes, and according to their deedes, I iudged them.

Ich zerstreute sie also unter die Heidenvölker, und sie wurden in die Länder versprengt: nach ihrem Wandel und ihrem ganzen Tun ging ich mit ihnen ins Gericht.

20 And when they entred vnto the heathen, whither they went, they polluted mine holy Name, when they sayd of them, These are the people of the Lord, and are gone out of his land.

Als sie nun unter die Heidenvölker kamen, da brachten sie, wohin sie kamen, meinen heiligen Namen in Unehre, indem man von ihnen sagte: ›Das Volk des HERRN sind diese, und doch haben sie aus seinem Lande wegziehen müssen!‹

21 But I fauoured mine holy Name which the house of Israel had polluted among the heathen, whither they went.

Da tat es mir leid um meinen heiligen Namen, weil das Haus Israel ihn unter den Heidenvölkern überall, wohin sie kamen, in Unehre brachte.

22 Therfore say vnto the house of Israel, Thus saith ye Lord God, I doe not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy Names sake, which yee polluted among the heathen whither ye went.

Darum sage zum Hause Israel: ›So hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: Nicht um euretwillen, Haus Israel, greife ich ein, sondern um meines heiligen Namens willen, den ihr unter den Heidenvölkern überall entehrt habt, wohin ihr gekommen seid.

23 And I wil sanctifie my great Name, which was polluted among the heathen, among whome you haue polluted it, and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, sayth the Lord God, when I shalbe sanctified in you before their eyes.

So will ich denn meinen großen Namen, der unter den Heiden entheiligt worden ist, weil ihr ihn unter ihnen entheiligt habt, wieder zu Ehren bringen, damit die Heiden erkennen, daß ich der HERR bin‹ – so lautet der Ausspruch Gottes des HERRN –, ›wenn ich mich vor ihren Augen an euch als den Heiligen erweise.‹«

24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your owne land.

»›Ich will euch also aus den Heidenvölkern herausholen und euch aus allen Ländern sammeln und euch in euer Land zurückbringen.

25 Then wil I powre cleane water vpon you, and ye shalbe cleane: yea, from all your filthines, and from all your idoles wil I clense you.

Dann will ich reines Wasser über euch sprengen, damit ihr rein werdet: von all euren Befleckungen und von all eurem Götzendienst will ich euch reinigen.

26 A newe heart also will I giue you, and a new spirit wil I put within you, and I will take away the stonie heart out of your body, and I will giue you an heart of flesh.

Und ich will euch ein neues Herz verleihen und euch einen neuen Geist eingeben: das steinerne Herz will ich aus eurer Brust herausnehmen und euch dafür ein Herz von Fleisch verleihen.

27 And I will put my spirite within you, and cause you to walke in my statutes, and ye shall keepe my iudgements and do them.

Ich will meinen Geist in euer Inneres geben und will solche Leute aus euch machen, die nach meinen Satzungen wandeln und meine Weisungen beobachten und tatsächlich ausführen.

28 And ye shall dwell in the land, that I gaue to your fathers, and ye shalbe my people, and I will be your God.

Dann sollt ihr wohnen bleiben in dem Lande, das ich euren Vätern gegeben habe; ihr sollt mein Volk sein, und ich will euer Gott sein.

29 I will also deliuer you from all your filthinesse, and I will call for corne, and will increase it, and lay no famine vpon you.

Wenn ich euch alsdann von all euren Befleckungen befreit habe, will ich den Getreidesegen herbeirufen und ihn mehren und keine Hungersnot mehr über euch verhängen.

30 For I will multiplie the fruite of the trees, and the increase of the fielde, that ye shall beare no more the reproch of famine among the heathen.

Auch die Früchte der Bäume und den Ertrag der Felder will ich mehren, damit ihr euch nicht noch einmal unter den Heidenvölkern wegen einer Hungersnot schmähen lassen müßt.

31 Then shall ye remember your owne wicked wayes, and your deedes that were not good, and shall iudge your selues worthie to haue bene destroyed for your iniquities, and for your abominations.

Wenn ihr alsdann an euren bösen Wandel zurückdenkt und an euer ganzes verwerfliches Tun, so werdet ihr vor euch selbst einen Abscheu empfinden wegen eurer Verschuldungen und eurer Greuel.

32 Be it knowen vnto you that I do not this for your sakes, sayth the Lord God: therefore, O ye house of Israel, be ashamed, and confounded for your owne wayes.

Nicht um euretwillen greife ich ein‹ – so lautet der Ausspruch Gottes des HERRN –: ›das sei euch kundgetan! Schämt euch vielmehr und errötet über euren Wandel, ihr vom Hause Israel!‹«

33 Thus sayth the Lord God, What time as I shall haue clensed you from all your iniquities, I will cause you to dwel in the cities, and the desolate places shalbe builded.

So hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: »Zu derselben Zeit, wo ich euch von all euren Verschuldungen reinige, will ich auch die Städte neu bevölkern, und die Trümmer sollen wieder aufgebaut werden;

34 And the desolate land shalbe tilled, whereas it lay waste in the sight of all that passed by.

das verödete Land soll aufs neue bestellt werden, während es zuvor als Wüste vor den Augen aller Vorüberziehenden dagelegen hat.

35 For they sayd, This waste land was like the garden of Eden, and these waste and desolate and ruinous cities were strong, and were inhabited.

Dann wird man sagen: ›Dieses Land, das verödet dalag, ist wie der Garten Eden geworden, und die Städte, die in Trümmern lagen und verwüstet und zerstört waren, sind jetzt wohlbefestigt und volkreich.‹

36 Then the residue of the heathen that are left round about you, shall know that I the Lord builde the ruinous places, and plant the desolate places: I the Lord haue spoken it, and wil do it.

Da werden dann die Völkerschaften, die rings um euch her übriggeblieben sind, zu der Erkenntnis kommen, daß ich, der HERR, es bin, der das Zerstörte neu aufgebaut und das Verwüstete neu bepflanzt hat. Ich, der HERR, habe es verheißen und werde es auch vollführen!«

37 Thus saith the Lord God, I will yet for this be sought of ye house of Israel, to performe it vnto them: I wil encrease them with men like a flocke.

So hat Gott der HERR gesprochen: »Auch darin will ich mich noch vom Hause Israel erbitten lassen, daß ich es ihnen gewähre: ich will sie an Menschen so zahlreich werden lassen wie eine Herde von Schafen.

38 As the holy flocke, as the flocke of Ierusalem in their solemne feastes, so shall the desolate cities be filled with flockes of men, and they shall know, that I am the Lord.

Wie der Tempel von Opferschafen, wie Jerusalem an seinen hohen Festen von Schafen, so sollen die jetzt verödeten Städte voll von Menschenherden sein, damit man erkennt, daß ich der HERR bin.«
