Ezekiel 35
1 Moveover the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Und es erging das Wort Jahwes an mich folgendermaßen:
2 Sonne of man, Set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesie against it,
Menschensohn, richte dein Antlitz gegen das Gebirge Seir, weissage über es
3 And say vnto it, Thus sayth the Lord God, Behold, O mount Seir, I come against thee, and I wil stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee desolate and waste.
und sprich zu ihm: So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Fürwahr, ich will an dich, Gebirge Seir, ich will meine Hand wider dich ausrecken und dich zu einer Wüstenei und Wüste machen.
4 I wil lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt knowe that I am the Lord.
Deine Städte will ich in Trümmer legen, und du selbst sollst zur Wüste werden, damit du erkennest, daß ich Jahwe bin!
5 Because thou hast had a perpetuall hatred and hast put the children of Israel to flight by the force of the sword in the time of their calamitie, when their iniquitie had an ende,
Weil du unaufhörliche Feindschaft hegtest und die Israeliten zur Zeit ihres Unheils, zur zeit der Büßung der Endverschuldung dem Schwerte überliefertest, -
6 Therefore as I liue, sayth the Lord God, I wil prepare thee vnto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: except thou hate blood, euen blood shall pursue thee.
darum, sowahr ich lebe, ist der Spruch des Herrn Jahwe, Blutschuld hast du auf dich geladen, und Blut soll dich verfolgen.
7 Thus will I make mount Seir desolate and waste, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.
Und ich will das Gebirge Seir zu einer Wüstenei und Wüste machen und aus ihm hinwegtilgen, was da kommt und geht.
8 And I will fill his mountaines with his slayne men: in thine hilles, and in thy valleys and in all thy riuers shall they fall, that are slayne with the sworde.
Und ich will seine Berge mit Erschlagenen füllen; auf deinen Hügeln, in deinen Thälern und in allen deinen Rinnsalen werden vom Schwert Erschlagene hinsinken.
9 I wil make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not returne, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.
Zu Wüsteneien für immer will ich dich machen, und deine Städte sollen unbewohnt sein, damit ihr erkennet, daß ich Jahwe bin.
10 Because thou hast said, These two nations, and these two countreys shalbe mine, and we wil possesse them (seeing the Lord was there)
Weil du sprachst: Die beiden Völker und die beiden Länder sollen mein werden, und wir wollen sie in Besitz nehmen! - obwohl sich doch Jahwe daselbst befand -
11 Therefore as I liue, sayth the Lord God, I wil euen do according to thy wrath, and according to thine indignation which thou hast vsed in thine hatred against them: and I wil make my selfe knowen among them whe I haue iudged thee.
darum, so wahr ich lebe, ist der Spruch des Herrn Jahwe, gemäß dem Zorn und dem Eifer, mit dem du infoge deines Hasses gegen sie verfuhrst, werde auch ich verfahren und werde mich dir zu spüren geben, wenn ich dich richten werde,
12 And thou shalt know, that I the Lord haue heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountaines of Israel, saying, They lye waste, they are giuen vs to be deuoured.
damit du erkennest, daß ich Jahwe bin. Ich habe wohl alle deine Lästerungen gehört, die du wider die Berge Israels ausgesprochen hast, indem du sagtest: Wüste liegen sie; uns sind sie zum Schmause gegeben!
13 Thus with your mouthes ye haue boasted against me, and haue multiplied your words against me: I haue heard them.
Und ihr thatet groß gegen mich mit eurem Mund und häuftet wider mich eure Reden auf - ich habe es wohl gehört!
14 Thus sayth the Lord God, So shall all the world reioyce when I shall make thee desolate.
So spricht der Herr Jahwe: Wie du dich freutest über mein Land, daß es wüste lag, so werde ich dir's widerfahren lassen;
15 As thou diddest reioyce at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I doe vnto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea wholly, and they shall know, that I am the Lord.
wie du dich freutest über den Erbbesitz des Hauses Israel, weil er wüste lag, so werde ich dir's widerfahren lassen. Eine Wüste sollst du werden, du Gebirge Seir, und ganz Edom insgesamt, damit sie erkennen, daß ich Jahwe bin.
