Ezekiel 35
1 Moveover the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
2 Sonne of man, Set thy face against mount Seir, and prophesie against it,
Fils de l'homme, tourne ton visage contre la montagne de Séir, prophétise contre elle, et dis-lui:
3 And say vnto it, Thus sayth the Lord God, Behold, O mount Seir, I come against thee, and I wil stretch out mine hand against thee, and I will make thee desolate and waste.
Ainsi dit le Seigneur: Voilà que je suis contre toi, montagne de Séir, et j'étendrai sur toi la main, et je ferai de toi un désert, et tu seras dépeuplée.
4 I wil lay thy cities waste, and thou shalt be desolate, and thou shalt knowe that I am the Lord.
Et tes villes seront désertes, et tu seras un désert, et tu sauras que je suis le Seigneur.
5 Because thou hast had a perpetuall hatred and hast put the children of Israel to flight by the force of the sword in the time of their calamitie, when their iniquitie had an ende,
En punition de ton inimitié perpétuelle, et de ce que tu as tendu des embûches à la maison de Jacob, quand ses ennemis avaient le glaive à la main, au temps de son iniquité, lorsqu'elle était à son comble;
6 Therefore as I liue, sayth the Lord God, I wil prepare thee vnto blood, and blood shall pursue thee: except thou hate blood, euen blood shall pursue thee.
En punition de cela, par ma vie, dit le Seigneur Maître, puisque tu as péché dans le sang, le sang te poursuivra.
7 Thus will I make mount Seir desolate and waste, and cut off from it him that passeth out and him that returneth.
Et je ferai de la montagne de Séir un désert, et elle sera dépeuplée, et j'y détruirai hommes et bétail.
8 And I will fill his mountaines with his slayne men: in thine hilles, and in thy valleys and in all thy riuers shall they fall, that are slayne with the sworde.
Et je remplirai de cadavres tes collines et tes vallées, et dans toutes tes plaines tomberont des morts percés du glaive.
9 I wil make thee perpetual desolations, and thy cities shall not returne, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.
Je ferai de toi un désert éternel, et tes villes ne seront plus habitées, et tu sauras que je suis le Seigneur.
10 Because thou hast said, These two nations, and these two countreys shalbe mine, and we wil possesse them (seeing the Lord was there)
Parce que tu as dit: Deux nations et deux terres seront à moi, et je les aurai pour héritage, et le Seigneur y réside;
11 Therefore as I liue, sayth the Lord God, I wil euen do according to thy wrath, and according to thine indignation which thou hast vsed in thine hatred against them: and I wil make my selfe knowen among them whe I haue iudged thee.
À cause de cela, par ma vie, dit le Seigneur, je te traiterai selon ta haine, et je me ferai connaître à toi, lorsque je te jugerai.
12 And thou shalt know, that I the Lord haue heard all thy blasphemies which thou hast spoken against the mountaines of Israel, saying, They lye waste, they are giuen vs to be deuoured.
Et tu sauras que je suis le Seigneur. J'ai entendu la voix de tes blasphèmes, quand tu as dit: Les montagnes d'Israël, devenues désertes, nous ont été données pour que nous les dévorions.
13 Thus with your mouthes ye haue boasted against me, and haue multiplied your words against me: I haue heard them.
Et ta bouche a dit contre moi des paroles superbes, et j'ai tout entendu.
14 Thus sayth the Lord God, So shall all the world reioyce when I shall make thee desolate.
Voici ce que dit le Seigneur: À la joie de toute la terre, je te rendrai déserte.
15 As thou diddest reioyce at the inheritance of the house of Israel, because it was desolate, so will I doe vnto thee: thou shalt be desolate, O mount Seir, and all Idumea wholly, and they shall know, that I am the Lord.
Tu seras un désert, montagne de Séir, et toute l'Idumée sera détruite, et tu sauras que je suis le Seigneur leur Dieu.
