Ezekiel 32
1 And in the twelfth yeere in the twelfth moneth, and in the first day of the moneth, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Et il arriva, en la douzième année, au douzième mois, au premier jour du mois, que la parole du Seigneur me fut adressée, disant:
2 Sonne of man, take vp a lamentation for Pharaoh King of Egypt, and say vnto him, Thou art like a lyon of the nations and art as a dragon in the sea: thou castedst out thy riuers and troubledst the waters with thy feete, and stampedst in their riuers.
Fils d’un homme, fais entendre des lamentations sur Pharaon, roi d’Egypte, et tu lui diras: Tu as été assimilé à un lion de nations et au dragon qui est dans la mer, et tu agitais ta corne dans tes fleuves, et tu troublais les eaux avec tes pieds, et tu foulais leurs fleuves.
3 Thus sayth the Lord God, I will therefore spread my net ouer thee with a great multitude of people, and they shall make thee come vp into my net.
À cause de cela, voici ce que dit le Seigneur: J’étendrai sur toi mon filet par une multitude de peuples nombreux, et je t’entraînerai dans mon filet.
4 Then will I leaue thee vpon the land, and I will cast thee vpon the open field, and I wil cause all the foules of the heauen to remaine vpon thee, and I will fill all the beastes of the field with thee.
Je te jetterai sur la terre, et je t’étendrai sur la face d’un champ; et je ferai habiter sur toi tous les volatiles du ciel, et je rassasierai de toi toutes les bêtes de la terre.
5 And I will lay thy flesh vpon the mountaines, and fill the valleys with thine height.
J’exposerai ta chair sur les montagnes, et je remplirai les collines de ta sanie.
6 I will also water with thy blood the land wherein thou swimmest, euen to ye mountaines, and the riuers shall be full of thee.
J’arroserai la terre sur les montagnes de ton sang infect; et les vallées seront remplies de toi.
7 And when I shall put thee out, I will couer the heauen, and make the starres thereof darke: I will couer the sunne with a cloude, and the moone shall not giue her light.
Et lorsque tu t’éteindras, je couvrirai le ciel, et je ferai noircir ses étoiles; je couvrirai le soleil d’un nuage, et la lune ne donnera pas sa lumière.
8 All the lightes of heauen will I make darke for thee, and bring darkenesse vpon thy lande, sayeth the Lord God.
Tous les flambeaux du ciel, je les ferai s’affliger sur toi; et je répandrai des ténèbres sur ta terre, dit le Seigneur Dieu; lorsque tomberont tes blessés sur la terre, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
9 I will also trouble the heartes of many people, when I shall bring thy destruction among the nations and vpon the countries which thou hast not knowen.
Et j’irriterai le cœur de peuples nombreux, lorsque j’apprendrai ta destruction parmi les nations, à des pays que tu ne connais pas.
10 Yea, I will make many people amased at thee, and their Kings shalbe astonished with feare for thee, when I shall make my sworde to glitter against their faces, and they shall be afraide at euery moment: euery man for his owne life in the day of thy fall.
Et je frapperai de stupeur à ton sujet des peuples nombreux; et leurs rois seront saisis d’effroi et d’une horreur extrême à cause de toi, lorsque mon glaive commencera à voler sur leurs faces, et chacun sera soudainement frappé de stupeur pour son âme au jour de ta ruine.
11 For thus sayth the Lord God, The sworde of the King of Babel shall come vpon thee.
Parce que voici ce que dit le Seigneur Dieu: Le glaive du roi de Babylone viendra à toi;
12 By the swordes of the mightie will I cause thy multitude to fall: they all shall be terrible nations, and they shall destroy the pompe of Egypt, and all the multitude thereof shalbe consumed.
Par les glaives des forts j’abattrai ta multitude; toutes ces nations sont invincibles, et elles détruiront l’orgueil de l’Egypte, et sa multitude sera dissipée.
13 I will destroy also all the beastes thereof from the great watersides, neither shall the foote of man trouble them any more, nor the hooues of beast trouble them.
Et je ferai périr toutes ses bêtes qui étaient le long des grandes eaux; et le pied de l’homme ne les agitera plus, et le sabot des bêtes ne les troublera pas.
14 Then will I make their waters deepe, and cause their riuers to runne like oyle, sayeth the Lord God.
Alors je rendrai leurs eaux très pures, et je ferai couler leurs fleuves comme l’huile, dit le Seigneur Dieu,
15 When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate, and the countrey with all that is therein, shall be laid waste: when I shall smite all them which dwell therein, then shall they know that I am ye Lord.
Lorsque j’aurai livré la terre d’Egypte à la désolation; mais la terre sera dénuée de ce qui la remplissait, quand j’aurai frappé tous ses habitants; et ils sauront que je suis le Seigneur.
16 This is the mourning wherewith they shall lament her: the daughters of the nations shall lament her: they shall lament for Egypt, and for all her multitude, sayeth the Lord God.
Voici un cantique de deuil, et on le chantera; les filles des nations le chanteront; c’est sur l’Egypte et sur sa multitude qu’elles le chanteront, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
17 In the twelfth yeere also in the fifteenth day of the moneth, came the worde of the Lord vnto me, saying,
Et il arriva, en la douzième année, au quinzième jour du mois, que la parole du Seigneur me fut adressée, disant:
18 Sonne of man, lament for the multitude of Egypt, and cast them downe, euen them and the daughters of the mighty nations vnto the nether partes of the earth, with them that goe downe into the pit.
Fils d’un homme, chante un cantique lugubre sur la multitude de l’Egypte; et précipite-la, elle-même et les filles des nations puissantes, au fond de la terre, avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.
19 Whome doest thou passe in beautie? goe downe and sleepe with the vncircumcised.
Que qui es-tu plus belle? descends, et dors avec les incirconcis.
20 They shall fall in the middes of them that are slaine by the sword: shee is deliuered to the sword: draw her downe, and all her multitude.
C’est au milieu des tués par le glaive qu’ils tomberont, le glaive a été livré, ils l’ont attirée ainsi que tous ses peuples.
21 The most mighty and strong shall speake to him out of the mids of hell with them that helpe her: they are gone downe and sleepe with the vncircumcised that be slaine by the sworde. (Sheol h7585)
Ils lui parleront du milieu de l’enfer, les plus puissants d’entre les forts qui sont descendus avec ses auxiliaires, et qui dorment incirconcis, tués par le glaive. (Sheol h7585)
22 Asshur is there and all his companie: their graues are about him: all they are slaine and fallen by the sworde.
Là est Assur et toute sa multitude; autour de lui sont ses sépulcres, tous les tués, et ceux qui sont tombés sous le glaive;
23 Whose graues are made in the side of the pit, and his multitude are rounde about his graue: all they are slaine and fallen by the sworde, which caused feare to be in the land of the liuing.
Dont les sépulcres ont été placés au plus profond d’une fosse; et sa multitude se trouve autour de son tombeau; tous tués et tombés sous le glaive, qui autrefois avaient répandu la frayeur dans la terre des vivants.
24 There is Elam and all his multitude round about his graue: al they are slaine and fallen by the sword which are gone downe with the vncircumcised into the nether parts of the earth, which caused themselues to be feared in the land of the liuing, yet haue they borne their shame with them that are gone downe to the pit.
Là est Elam, et toute sa multitude autour de son sépulcre; tous ceux-ci tués et tombés sous le glaive; qui sont descendus incirconcis au fond de la terre, qui ont jeté la terreur dans la terre des vivants, et ont porté leur ignominie avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.
25 They haue made his bed in the mids of the slaine with al his multitude: their graues are round about him: all these vncircucised are slaine by the sworde: though they haue caused their feare in the land of ye liuing, yet haue they borne their shame with them that goe downe to the pitte: they are laide in the middes of them, that be slaine.
Au milieu des tués on a placé son lit parmi tous ses peuples; autour de lui est son sépulcre; tous ceux-ci sont des incirconcis et des tués par le glaive; car ils jetèrent la terreur dans la terre des vivants, et ils ont porté leur ignominie avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse; c’est au milieu des tués qu’ils ont été placés.
26 There is Meshech, Tubal, and all their multitude, their graues are round about them: al these vncircumcised were slaine by the sworde, though they caused their feare to be in ye land of the liuing.
Là est Mosoch, et Thubal, et toute sa multitude; autour de lui sont ses sépulcres; tous ceux-ci sont des incirconcis, et des tués, et des tombés sous le glaive, parce qu’ils jetèrent la frayeur dans la terre des vivants.
27 And they shall not lie with the valiant of the vncircumcised, that are fallen, which are gone down to the graue, with their weapons of warre, and haue laied their swords vnder their heads, but their iniquitie shalbe vpon their bones: because they were the feare of the mighty in the lande of the liuing. (Sheol h7585)
Et ils ne dormiront pas avec les forts, et ceux qui sont tombés, et les incirconcis descendus dans l’enfer avec leurs armes, et qui ont mis leurs glaives sous leurs têtes; et leurs iniquités ont pénétré dans leurs os, parce qu’ils sont devenus la terreur des forts dans la terre des vivants. (Sheol h7585)
28 Yea, thou shalt be broken in the middes of the vncircumcised, and lie with them that are slaine by the sworde.
Et toi donc, au milieu des incirconcis tu seras brisé, et tu dormiras avec les tués par le glaive.
29 There is Edom, his Kings, and all his princes, which with their strength are laied by them that were slaine by the sworde: they shall sleepe with the vncircumcised, and with them that goe downe to the pit.
Là est l’Idumée, et ses rois et tous ses chefs, qui ont été mis avec leur armée parmi les tués par le glaive, et qui ont dormi avec les incirconcis et avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.
30 There be al the princes of the North, with al the Zidonians, which are gone downe with the slaine, with their feare: they are ashamed of their strength, and the vncircumcised sleepe with them that be slaine by the sword, and beare their shame with them that goe downe to the pit.
Là sont tous les princes de l’aquilon et tous les chasseurs qui ont été amenés avec les tués, tremblants et confondus dans leur force; qui ont dormi incirconcis avec les tués par le glaive, et ont porté leur confusion avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.
31 Pharaoh shall see them, and hee shall be comforted ouer all his multitude: Pharaoh, and all his armie shall be slaine by the sword, saieth the Lord God.
Pharaon les a vus, et il s’est consolé de toute sa multitude qui a été tuée par le glaive; Pharaon et toute son armée, dit le Seigneur Dieu,
32 For I haue caused my feare to be in the lande of the liuing: and he shall be laid in the mids of the vncircumcised with them, that are slaine by the sword, euen Pharaoh and all his multitude, sayeth the Lord God.
Parce que j’ai répandu ma terreur dans la terre des vivants, et il a dormi au milieu des incirconcis avec les tués par le glaive; Pharaon et toute sa multitude, dit le Seigneur Dieu.
