Ezekiel 22

1 Moreover, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল,

2 Now thou sonne of man, wilt thou iudge, wilt thou iudge this bloody citie? wilt thou shew her all her abominations?

“হে মানবসন্তান, তুমি কি তার বিচার করবে? তুমি কি এই রক্তপাতের নগরের বিচার করবে? তাহলে তার জঘন্য কাজকর্মের বিষয় নিয়ে তার মুখোমুখি হও

3 Then say, Thus sayth the Lord God, The citie sheddeth blood in the middes of it, that her time may come, and maketh idols against her selfe to pollute her selfe.

এবং বলো, ‘সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন, হে নগর যে নিজের মধ্যে রক্তপাত করে নিজের সর্বনাশ ডেকে আনে এবং প্রতিমা তৈরি করে নিজেকে অশুচি করে,

4 Thou hast offended in thy blood, that thou hast shed, and hast polluted thy selfe in thine idols, which thou hast made, and thou hast caused thy dayes to draw neere, and art come vnto thy terme: therefore haue I made thee a reproch to the heathen, and a mocking to all countreys.

রক্তপাত করে তুমি দোষী হয়েছ এবং প্রতিমা তৈরি করে তুমি অশুচি হয়েছ। তুমি তোমার দিন কাছে নিয়ে এসেছ এবং তোমার শেষকাল উপস্থিত হয়েছে। সেইজন্য জাতিগণের কাছে তোমাকে ঘৃণ্য করব এবং সমস্ত দেশের কাছে তোমাকে হাসির পাত্র করব।

5 Those that be neere, and those that be farre from thee, shall mocke thee, which art vile in name and sore in affliction.

হে জঘন্য নগর, যা অশান্তিতে পূর্ণ, যারা কাছে আছে আর যারা দূরে আছে তারা তোমাকে বিদ্রুপ করবে।

6 Beholde, the princes of Israel euery one in thee was ready to his power, to shed blood.

“‘দেখ ইস্রায়েলের প্রত্যেক শাসনকর্তা রক্তপাত করবার জন্য কেমন করে তার ক্ষমতা ব্যবহার করছে।

7 In thee haue they despised father and mother: in the middes of thee haue they oppressed the stranger: in thee haue they vexed the fatherlesse and the widowe.

তোমাদের মধ্যেই লোকে মা-বাবাকে তুচ্ছ করেছে; বিদেশিদের অত্যাচার করেছে আর অনাথ ও বিধবাদের সঙ্গে দুর্ব্যবহার করেছে।

8 Thou hast despised mine holy things, and hast polluted my Sabbaths.

তুমি আমার পবিত্র জিনিসগুলি অশ্রদ্ধা করেছ এবং আমার বিশ্রামবারগুলিকে অপবিত্র করেছ।

9 In thee are men that cary tales to shed blood: in thee are they that eate vpon the mountaines: in ye mids of thee they comit abomination.

তোমার মধ্যে এমন এমন লোক আছে যারা অন্যের বদনাম রটিয়ে তাদের রক্তপাত করায়; পাহাড়ের উপরের পূজার জায়গায় খাওয়াদাওয়া করে ও ঘৃণ্য কাজ করে।

10 In thee haue they discouered their fathers shame: in thee haue they vexed her that was polluted in her floures.

তোমার মধ্যে এমন এমন লোক আছে যারা বাবার বিছানাকে অসম্মান করে; ঋতুমতী মহিলার সঙ্গে মিলিত হয়, যখন তারা অশুচি।

11 And euery one hath committed abomination with his neighbours wife, and euery one hath wickedly defiled his daughter in lawe, and in thee hath euery man forced his owne sister, euen his fathers daughter.

তোমার মধ্যে কেউ তার প্রতিবেশীর স্ত্রীর সঙ্গে ঘৃণ্য কাজ করে, আরেকজন নির্লজ্জভাবে তার ছেলের বৌকে অশুচি করে, এবং আরেকজন তার বোনের সঙ্গে ব্যভিচার করে, যে তার নিজের বাবার মেয়ে।

12 In thee haue they taken giftes to shed blood: thou hast taken vsurie and the encrease, and thou hast defrauded thy neighbours by extortion, and hast forgotten me, saith the Lord God.

তোমার মধ্যে রক্তপাত করার জন্য লোকে ঘুস নেয়; তারা বাড়তি সুদ নিয়ে থাকে এবং জুলুম করে প্রতিবেশীর কাছ থেকে অন্যায় লাভ করে। এবং তুমি আমাকে ভুলে গিয়েছ, এই কথা সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন।

13 Beholde, therefore I haue smitten mine hands vpon thy couetousnesse, that thou hast vsed, and vpon the blood, which hath bene in the middes of thee.

“‘তুমি যে অন্যায় লাভ করেছ এবং তোমার মধ্যে যে রক্তপাত করেছ তার জন্য আমি নিশ্চয়ই হাততালি দেব।

14 Can thine heart endure, or can thine hands be strong, in the dayes that I shall haue to doe with thee? I the Lord haue spoken it, and will doe it.

আমি যেদিন তোমার কাছ থেকে হিসেব নেব সেদিন কি তোমার সাহস থাকবে? আমি সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বললাম এবং আমি তা করবই।

15 And I wil scatter thee among the heathen, and disperse thee in the countreys, and will cause thy filthines to cease from thee.

আমি তোমার লোকদের বিভিন্ন জাতি ও দেশের মধ্যে ছড়িয়ে-ছিটিয়ে দেব এবং তোমার অশুচিতা দূর করব।

16 And thou shalt take thine inheritance in thy selfe in the sight of the heathen, and thou shalt knowe that I am the Lord.

জাতিগণের চোখে তুমি যখন অপবিত্র হবে, তুমি জানবে আমিই সদাপ্রভু।’”

17 And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

তারপর সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল:

18 Sonne of man, the house of Israel is vnto me as drosse: all they are brasse, and tinne, and yron, and leade in the mids of the fornace: they are euen the drosse of siluer.

“হে মানবসন্তান, ইস্রায়েল কুল আমার কাছে খাদের মতো হয়েছে; তারা সবাই যেন রুপো খাঁটি করবার সময় হাপরের মধ্যে খাদ হিসেবে পড়ে থাকা পিতল, দস্তা, লোহা ও সীসা।

19 Therefore, thus sayth the Lord God, Because ye are all as drosse, beholde, therefore I will gather you in the middes of Ierusalem.

অতএব সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন: ‘তোমরা সবাই খাদ হয়ে গিয়েছ বলে আমি জেরুশালেমে তোমাদের জড়ো করব।

20 As they gather siluer and brasse, and yron, and leade, and tinne into the middes of the fornace, to blowe the fire vpon it to melt it, so wil I gather you in mine anger and in my wrath, and wil put you there and melt you.

লোকে যেমন রুপো, পিতল, লোহা, সীসা ও দস্তা গলাবার জন্য হাপরের মধ্যে একত্র করে, তেমনি করে আমার ভীষণ অসন্তোষ ও ক্রোধে আমি তোমাদের নগরের মধ্যে রেখে গলাব।

21 I wil gather you, I say, and blowe the fire of my wrath vpon you, and you shalbe melted in the mids thereof.

আমি তোমাদের জড়ো করে আমার জ্বলন্ত ক্রোধে ফুঁ দেব আর তোমরা নগরের মধ্যে গলে যাবে।

22 As siluer is melted in the mids of the fornace, so shall ye be melted in the mids thereof, and ye shall knowe, that I the Lord haue powred out my wrath vpon you.

হাপরের মধ্যে যেমন রুপো গলে যায় তোমরাও তেমনি তার মধ্যে গলে যাবে, আর তোমরা জানবে যে, আমি সদাপ্রভুই তোমাদের উপর আমার ক্রোধ ঢেলে দিয়েছি।’”

23 And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

আবার সদাপ্রভুর বাক্য আমার কাছে উপস্থিত হল,

24 Sonne of man, say vnto her; Thou art the land, that is vncleane, and not rained vpon in the day of wrath.

“হে মানবসন্তান, তুমি দেশকে বলো, ‘তুমি একটি দেশ যার উপর আমার ক্রোধের দিনে পরিষ্কার বা বৃষ্টি হয়নি।’

25 There is a conspiracie of her prophets in the mids thereof like a roaring lyon, rauening the praye: they haue deuoured soules: they haue taken the riches and precious things: they haue made her many widowes in the mids thereof.

তাদের শাসনকর্তারা সেখানে ষড়যন্ত্র করে; তারা গর্জনকারী সিংহের মতো শিকার ছেঁড়ে; তারা লোকদের গ্রাস করে, ধনসম্পদ ও দামি দামি জিনিস নিয়ে নেয় এবং দেশের মধ্যে অনেক স্ত্রীলোককে বিধবা করে।

26 Her Priests haue broken my Lawe, and haue defiled mine holy things: they haue put no difference betweene the holy and prophane, neither discerned betweene the vncleane, and the cleane, and haue hid their eyes from my Sabbaths, and I am prophaned among them.

তার যাজকেরা আমার বিধানের বিরুদ্ধে কাজ করে এবং আমার পবিত্র জিনিসগুলিকে অপবিত্র করে; তারা পবিত্র ও যা সাধারণ তাদের মধ্যে কোনও তফাৎ রাখে না; তারা শিক্ষা দেয় যে পবিত্র ও অপবিত্রের মধ্যে কোনও তফাৎ নেই; এবং তারা আমার বিশ্রামদিন পালন করার ব্যাপারে চোখ বুজে থাকে সেইজন্য আমি তাদের মধ্যে অপবিত্র হচ্ছি।

27 Her princes in the mids thereof are like wolues, rauening the praye to shed blood, and to destroy soules for their owne couetous lucre.

সেখানকার কর্মকর্তারা নেকড়ের মতন শিকার ছেঁড়ে; তারা রক্তপাত করে এবং অন্যায় লাভের জন্য মানুষ খুন করে।

28 And her prophets haue dawbed them with vntempered morter, seeing vanities, and diuining lies vnto them, saying, Thus sayth the Lord God, when the Lord had not spoken.

তার ভাববাদীরা মিথ্যা দর্শন এবং মিথ্যা ভবিষ্যদ্‌বাণী করে এই কাজের উপর চুনকাম করে। তারা বলে, ‘সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু এই কথা বলেন,’ যখন সদাপ্রভু কোনও কথা বলেননি।

29 The people of the land haue violently oppressed by spoyling and robbing, and haue vexed the poore and the needy: yea, they haue oppressed the stranger against right.

দেশের লোকেরা অন্যায় দাবি করে অত্যাচার এবং চুরি করে, তারা গরিব এবং অভাবীদের উপর অন্যায় করে এবং ন্যায়বিচার না করে বিদেশিদের উপর অত্যাচার করে।

30 And I sought for a man among them, that should make vp the hedge, and stand in the gap before me for the land, that I should not destroy it, but I found none.

“আমি তাদের মধ্যে এমন একজন লোকের খোঁজ করলাম, যে প্রাচীর গাঁথবে এবং দেশের পক্ষ হয়ে আমার সামনে প্রাচীরের ফাটলে দাঁড়াবে যেন আমাকে দেশটা ধ্বংস করতে না হয়, কিন্তু কাউকে পেলাম না।

31 Therefore haue I powred out mine indignation vpon them, and consumed them with the fire of my wrath: their owne wayes haue I rendred vpon their heads, sayth the Lord God.

এই জন্য আমার ক্রোধ আমি তাদের উপর ঢেলে দেব এবং আমার জ্বলন্ত ক্রোধের আগুনে তাদের পুড়িয়ে ফেলব, তারা যা করেছে তার ফল তাদের মাথার উপর দেব, এই কথা সার্বভৌম সদাপ্রভু বলেন।”
