Ezekiel 20

1 And in the seuenth yeere, in the fift moneth, the tenth day of the moneth, came certaine of the elders of Israel to enquire of the Lord, and sate before me.

அரசன் யோயாக்கீன் சிறைப்பிடிக்கப்பட்ட ஏழாம் வருடத்தின் ஐந்தாம் மாதம், பத்தாம் தேதியிலே இஸ்ரயேலின் முதியோர் சிலர் யெகோவாவினிடத்தில் விசாரித்து அறியும்படி என்னிடம் வந்து, என் முன்னால் உட்கார்ந்தார்கள்.

2 Then came the worde of the Lord vnto me, saying,

அப்பொழுது, யெகோவாவின் வார்த்தை எனக்கு வந்தது:

3 Sonne of man, speake vnto the Elders of Israel, and say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Are ye come to enquire of me? as I liue, sayth the Lord God, when I am asked, I wil not answer you.

“மனுபுத்திரனே, இஸ்ரயேலின் முதியோரிடம் நீ பேசி அவர்களுக்குச் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது: ‘ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே, நீங்கள் என்னிடம் ஆலோசனை கேட்க வந்தீர்களோ? நான் வாழ்வது நிச்சயம்போலவே, நீங்கள் என்னிடம் ஆலோசனை கேட்க நான் இடமளிக்கமாட்டேன் என்பதும் நிச்சயம்’ என்று ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுகிறார்.

4 Wilt thou iudge them, sonne of man? wilt thou iudge them? cause them to vnderstand the abominations of their fathers,

“நீ அவர்களை நியாயந்தீர்பாயோ? மனுபுத்திரனே! நீ அவர்களை நியாயந்தீர்பாயோ? அப்படியானால் நீ அவர்கள் தந்தையருடைய அருவருப்பான பழக்கங்களை அவர்களுக்கு எடுத்துக்காட்டி

5 And say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, In the day when I chose Israel, and lift vp mine hand vnto the seede of the house of Iaakob, and made my selfe knowen vnto them in the land of Egypt, when I lift vp mine hand vnto them, and sayd, I am the Lord your God,

அவர்களிடம் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது; ‘ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே; நான் இஸ்ரயேலைத் தெரிந்தெடுத்த நாளிலே, நான் என் உயர்த்திய கையுடன் யாக்கோபின் சந்ததிகளுக்கு ஆணையிட்டு, எகிப்திலே என்னை அவர்களுக்கு வெளிப்படுத்தினேன். நான் என் உயர்த்திய கையுடன், “நானே உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா” என்று சொன்னேன்.

6 In the day that I lift vp mine hand vnto them to bring them forth of the land of Egypt, into a land that I had prouided for them, flowing with milke and hony which is pleasant among all lands,

அந்த நாளிலே நான் அவர்களை, எகிப்திலிருந்து அவர்களுக்கென நான் தெரிந்துகொண்ட நாட்டிற்கு கொண்டுவருவேன் என்று ஆணையிட்டேன். அது நாடுகளிலெல்லாம் அழகானதும், பாலும் தேனும் வழிந்தோடுகிறதுமான நாடு.

7 Then sayd I vnto them, Let euery man cast away the abominations of his eyes, and defile not your selues with the idols of Egypt: for I am the Lord your God.

அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும் உங்களைக் கவர்ந்த இழிவான உருவச்சிலைகளை விலக்கிவிடுங்கள். எகிப்தின் விக்கிரகங்களால் உங்களை கறைப்படுத்தாதிருங்கள். உங்கள் ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா நானே” என்றும் கூறினேன்.

8 But they rebelled against me, and would not heare me: for none cast away the abominations of their eyes, neither did they forsake the idoles of Egypt: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them, and to accomplish my wrath against them in the mids of the land of Egypt.

“‘ஆனால், அவர்களோ எனக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணி,’ எனக்குச் செவிகொடுக்க மறுத்தார்கள். தங்களைக் கவர்ந்த இழிவான உருவச்சிலைகளை விலக்கவுமில்லை. எகிப்தின் விக்கிரகங்களை கைவிடவுமில்லை. ஆதலால் நான் என் கோபத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் ஊற்றி, அவர்கள்மீது எனக்குள்ள கோபத்தை எகிப்தில் தீர்த்துக்கொள்வேன் என்று சொன்னேன்.

9 But I had respect to my Name, that it should not be polluted before the heathen, among whome they were, and in whose sight I made my selfe knowen vnto them in bringing them forth of the land of Egypt.

ஆனாலும் இஸ்ரயேல் சேர்ந்து வாழ்ந்த பிறநாடுகள், அவர்களுடைய இறைவனால் தாம் வாக்குக் கொடுத்தபடி தமது மக்களை மீட்டுக்கொள்ள முடியவில்லையே என்று நினைப்பார்கள். அப்படி அவர்கள் பார்வையில் என் பெயர் தூய்மைக்கேடாகாதபடியே நான் என் கரத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் நீட்டாமல் இருக்கிறேன்.

10 Nowe I caried them out of the land of Egypt, and brought them into the wildernes.

ஆகவே நான் அவர்களை எகிப்திலிருந்து வழிநடத்தி அங்கிருந்து பாலைவனத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்தேன்.

11 And I gaue them my statutes, and declared my iudgements vnto them, which if a man doe, he shall liue in them.

நான் என் விதிமுறைகளை அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்து, என் சட்டங்களை அவர்களுக்குத் தெரியப்படுத்தினேன். ஏனெனில் அவைகளுக்குக் கீழப்படிகிறவன் அவைகளால் வாழ்வான்.

12 Moreouer I gaue them also my Sabbaths to be a signe betweene me and them, that they might knowe that I am the Lord, that sanctifie them.

மேலும் எங்களுக்கு இடையில் ஒரு அடையாளமாக இருப்பதற்கு எனது ஓய்வுநாட்களையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தேன். இவ்விதம் தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தமாக்கிய யெகோவா நானே என்பதையும் அவர்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வார்கள் என்று எண்ணினேன்.

13 But the house of Israel rebelled against me in the wildernes: they walked not in my statutes, and they cast away my iudgements, which if a man doe, he shall liue in them, and my Sabbaths haue they greatly polluted: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them in the wildernes to consume them,

“‘ஆனாலும் இஸ்ரயேலர் பாலைவனத்திலே எனக்கு விரோதமாகக் கலகம் பண்ணினார்கள். எனது விதிமுறைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிற மனிதன் அவைகளால் வாழ்வான் என்றிருந்தபோதிலும், அவர்கள் அவைகளைப் பின்பற்றாமல், என் சட்டங்களை புறக்கணித்தார்கள். அத்துடன் அவர்கள் என் ஓய்வுநாட்களின் தூய்மையை முழுவதும் கெடுத்தார்கள். எனவே நான் என் கோபத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் ஊற்றி, பாலைவனத்தில் அவர்களை தண்டிப்பேன் என்றேன்.

14 But I had respect to my Name, that it shoulde not bee polluted before the heathen in whose sight I brought them out.

ஆனாலும் இஸ்ரயேல் சேர்ந்து வாழ்ந்த நாடுகள், அவர்களுடைய இறைவனால் தாம் வாக்குக் கொடுத்தபடி, தமது மக்களை மீட்டுக்கொள்ள முடியவில்லையே என்று நினைப்பார்கள். அப்படி அவர்கள் பார்வையில் என் பெயர் தூய்மைக்கேடாகாதபடியே நான் என் கரத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் நீட்டாமல் இருக்கிறேன்.

15 Yet neuerthelesse, I lift vp mine hande vnto them in the wildernes that I would not bring them into the lande, which I had giuen them, flowing with milke and hony, which was pleasant aboue all landes,

அத்துடன் அவர்களுக்கு நான் கொடுத்திருந்த பாலும் தேனும் வழிந்தோடுகிறதும், எல்லா நாடுகளிலும் மிக அழகு வாய்ந்ததுமான அந்த நாட்டிற்கு அவர்களைக் கொண்டுவரமாட்டேன் என பாலைவனத்தில் என் உயர்த்திய கையினால் ஆணையிட்டேன்.

16 Because they cast away my iudgments, and walked not in my statutes, but haue polluted my Sabbaths: for their heart went after their idoles.

ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் என் சட்டங்களை புறக்கணித்தார்கள். அவர்கள் என் விதிமுறைகளைப் பின்பற்றவில்லை. என் ஓய்வுநாட்களைத் தூய்மைக்கேடாக்கினார்கள். அவர்களின் இருதயங்களோ விக்கிரகங்களையே சார்ந்திருந்தன.

17 Neuerthelesse, mine eye spared them, that I would not destroye them, neither would I consume them in the wildernes.

அப்படியிருந்தும் நான் அவர்களை தயவுடன் கண்ணோக்கினேன். நான் அவர்களை அழிக்கவுமில்லை, பாலைவனத்திலே அவர்களுக்கு முடிவுண்டாக்கவுமில்லை.

18 But I said vnto their children in the wildernes, Walke ye not in the ordinances of your fathers, neither obserue their maners, nor defile your selues with their idoles.

பாலைவனத்தில் நான் அவர்களின் பிள்ளைகளிடம், நீங்கள் உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களின் விதிமுறைகளைப் பின்பற்றவோ, அவர்களுடைய சட்டங்களைக் கடைப்பிடிக்கவோ, “அவர்களுடைய விக்கிரகங்களால் உங்களைக் கறைப்படுத்திக்கொள்ளவோ வேண்டாம்.

19 I am the Lord your God: walke in my statutes, and keepe my iudgements and doe them,

உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா நானே; என் விதிமுறைகளைப் பின்பற்றி என் சட்டங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளக் கவனமாயிருங்கள்.

20 And sanctifie my Sabbaths, and they shall bee a signe betweene mee and you, that ye may knowe that I am the Lord your God.

எனது ஓய்வுநாட்கள் எனக்கும் உங்களுக்கும் நடுவே ஒரு அடையாளமாயிருக்கும்படி, அவைகளைப் பரிசுத்தமாய்க் கடைப்பிடியுங்கள். அப்பொழுது உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா நானே என்று நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்” என்றேன்.

21 Notwithstanding the children rebelled against mee: they walked not in my statutes, nor kept my iudgements to doe them, which if a man doe, hee shall liue in them, but they polluted my Sabbaths: then I thought to powre out mine indignation vpon them, and to accomplish my wrath against them in the wildernes.

“‘ஆயினும் அவர்களுடைய பிள்ளைகளும் எனக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம் செய்தார்கள், “அவைகளுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிற மனிதன் அவைகளால் வாழ்வான்; என்றிருந்தபோதிலும் அவர்கள் என் நியமங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளவுமில்லை, எனது சட்டங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ள கவனம் எடுக்கவுமில்லை. அத்துடன் அவர்கள் என்னுடைய ஓய்வுநாட்களைத் தூய்மைக்கேடாக்கினார்கள். ஆகையால் நான் என் கடுங்கோபத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் ஊற்றி, பாலைவனத்தில் எனது கோபத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் தீர்த்துக்கொள்ளுவேன்” என்றேன்.

22 Neuerthelesse I withdrew mine hand and had respect to my Name that it should not be polluted before the heathen, in whose sight I brought them foorth.

ஆனாலும் இஸ்ரயேல் சேர்ந்து வாழ்ந்த பிறநாடுகள், அவர்களுடைய இறைவனால் தாம் வாக்குக் கொடுத்தபடி தமது மக்களை மீட்டுக்கொள்ள முடியவில்லையே என்று நினைப்பார்கள். அப்படி அவர்கள் பார்வையில் என் பெயர் தூய்மைக்கேடாகாதபடியே நான் என் கரத்தை அவர்கள்மேல் நீட்டாமல் இருக்கிறேன்.

23 Yet I lift vp mine hande vnto them in the wildernes, that I would scatter them among the heathen, and disperse them through the countreys,

மேலும் நான் அவர்களைப் பல நாடுகளுக்குள் சிதறடித்து, தேசங்களுக்குள்ளே பரவவிடுவேன் என்று, என் உயர்த்திய கையுடன் பாலைவனத்தில் நானே அவர்களுக்கு ஆணையிட்டேன்.

24 Because they had not executed my iudgements, but had cast away my statutes and had polluted my Sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers idoles.

ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் என் சட்டங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல், என் விதிமுறைகளைப் புறக்கணித்து, என் ஓய்வுநாட்களைத் தூய்மைக்கேடாக்கினார்கள். அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் அவர்களுடைய தந்தையர் வழிபட்ட உருவச்சிலைகளை இச்சித்தன.

25 Wherefore I gaue them also statutes that were not good, and iudgements, wherein they should not liue.

மேலும் நான் அவர்களைப் பலவித நல்லதல்லாத விதிமுறைகளுக்கும், வாழ்க்கையில் கைக்கொள்ள முடியாத சட்டங்களுக்கும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன்.

26 And I polluted them in their owne giftes in that they caused to passe by the fire all that first openeth ye wombe, that I might destroy them, to the ende, that they might know that I am ye Lord.

தங்கள் முதற்பேறுகள் ஒவ்வொருவரையும் பலியாகக் கொடுப்பதன் மூலம், தாங்கள் தங்களையே கறைப்படுத்த நான் இடமளித்தேன். இவ்விதம் நான் அவர்களைப் பயங்கரத்தால் நிரப்பினேன். இவ்வாறு நானே யெகோவா என்பதை அவர்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ளும்படி செய்தேன்.’

27 Therefore, sonne of man, speake vnto the house of Israel, and say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, Yet in this your fathers haue blasphemed me, though they had before grieuously transgressed against me.

“ஆகையால், மனுபுத்திரனே, இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களிடம் நீ சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது, ‘ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே; உங்கள் தந்தையர் தொடர்ந்து என்னைக் கைவிட்டு என்னை நிந்தித்தார்கள்.

28 For when I had brought them into the land, for the which I lifted vp mine hand to giue it to them, then they saw euery hie hill, and all the thicke trees, and they offred there their sacrifices, and there they presented their offering of prouocation: there also they made their sweete sauour, and powred out there their drinke offerings.

அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுப்பதாக நான் ஆணையிட்ட இந்த நாட்டுக்கு நான் அவர்களைக் கொண்டுவந்தபோது, அவர்கள் எங்கேயாவது உயர்ந்த மலையையோ, செழுமையான மரத்தையோ கண்டவுடன், அங்கே தங்கள் பலிகளைச் செலுத்தினார்கள். தங்கள் காணிக்கைகளைப் படைத்து எனக்குக் கோபமூட்டினார்கள். நறுமண தூபங்களையும் பானபலிகளையும் அங்கே செலுத்தினார்கள்.

29 Then I saide vnto them, What is the hie place whereunto ye goe? And the name thereof was called Bamah vnto this day.

அப்பொழுது நான் அவர்களிடம் நீங்கள் போகும் அந்த வழிபாட்டு மேடு என்ன?’” என்று கேட்டேன். அது இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் பாமா எனப்படுகிறது.

30 Wherefore, say vnto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord God, Are ye not polluted after the maner of your fathers? and commit ye not whoredome after their abominations?

“ஆகையால், நீ இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்தாரிடம் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது: ‘ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே: நீங்களும் உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்கள் செய்ததுபோலவே,’ உங்களைக் கறைப்படுத்துவீர்களோ? அவர்களுடைய இழிவான உருவச் சிலைகளில் ஆசைகொண்டு வணங்குவீர்களோ?

31 For when you offer your giftes, and make your sonnes to passe through the fire, you pollute your selues with all your idoles vnto this day: shall I answere you when I am asked, O house of Israel? As I liue, saith the Lord God, I wil not answere you when I am asked.

நீங்கள் உங்கள் மகன்களை நெருப்பில் பலியிட்டு, உங்கள் காணிக்கைகளைச் செலுத்துவதனால், நீங்களே தொடர்ந்து உங்களைக் கறைப்படுத்தி வருகிறீர்கள். அப்படியிருக்க இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்தாரே! நீங்கள் என்னிடம் விசாரித்துக் கேட்பதற்கு நான் இடமளிக்க வேண்டுமோ? உதவிசெய்ய வேண்டுமோ? நான் வாழ்வது நிச்சயம்போலவே, நீங்கள் என்னிடம் விசாரிக்க நான் இடமளிக்கமாட்டேன் என்பதும் நிச்சயம் என ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

32 Neither shall that be done that commeth into your minde: for ye say, We wil be as the heathen, and as the families of the countreys, and serue wood, and stone.

“‘“மரத்திற்கும், கல்லுக்கும் பணிசெய்யும் நாடுகளைப்போலவும், உலகத்தின் மக்கள் கூட்டங்களைப்போலவும் நாங்களும் இருக்க விரும்புகிறோம்” என்று நீங்கள் சொல்கிறீர்கள். ஆனால் உங்கள் மனதிலுள்ளவைகள் ஒருபோதும் நிறைவேறப்போவதில்லை.

33 As I liue, saith the Lord God, I will surely rule you with a mightie hand, and with a stretched out arme, and in my wrath powred out,

நான் வாழ்வது நிச்சயம்போலவே, வல்லமையுள்ள கரத்தினாலும், நீட்டிய புயத்தினாலும், ஊற்றப்படும் கடுங்கோபத்தினாலும், நான் உங்களை ஆளுகை செய்வேன் என்பதும் நிச்சயம் என்று ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

34 And will bring you from the people, and will gather you out of the countreys, wherein ye are scattered, with a mighty hand, and with a stretched out arme, and in my wrath powred out,

நாடுகளின் மத்தியிலிருந்தும், நீங்கள் சிதறடிக்கப்பட்ட நாடுகளிலிருந்தும் நான் உங்களைக் கூட்டிச்சேர்ப்பேன். வல்லமையுள்ள கரத்தினாலும், நீட்டிய புயத்தினாலும், ஊற்றப்படும் கடுங்கோபத்தினாலும், நான் இதைச் செய்வேன்.

35 And I will bring you into the wildernes of the people, and there wil I pleade with you face to face.

நான் உங்களை நாடுகளின் பாலைவனத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவந்து, அங்கே முகமுகமாய் நியாயந்தீர்பேன்.

36 Like as I pleaded with your fathers in the wildernes of the lande of Egypt, so will I pleade with you, saith the Lord God.

எகிப்திய பாலைவனத்தில் உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களை நான் நியாயம் தீர்த்ததுபோலவே, உங்களையும் நியாயந்தீர்பேன் என்று ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

37 And I wil cause you to passe vnder the rod, and wil bring you into the bond of the couenant.

ஒரு மேய்ப்பனைப்போல என் கோலின்கீழ் நீங்கள் நடப்பதை நான் கவனித்து, உங்களை உடன்படிக்கையின் கட்டுக்குள் கொண்டுவருவேன்.

38 And I wil chuse out from among you the rebels, and them that transgresse against mee: I will bring them out of the land where they dwel, and they shall not enter into the lande of Israel, and you shall knowe that I am the Lord.

எனக்கு விரோதமாய் கலகம் செய்வோரையும் துரோகம் செய்வோரையும் உங்களைவிட்டு விலக்குவேன். அவர்கள் வாழும் நாட்டைவிட்டு அவர்களை நான் வெளியே கொண்டுவந்தாலும், அவர்கள் இஸ்ரயேல் நாட்டுக்குள் போகமாட்டார்கள். அப்பொழுது நானே யெகோவா என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்.

39 As for you, O house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God, Goe you, and serue euery one his idole, seeing that ye will not obey me, and pollute mine holy Name no more with your giftes and with your idoles.

“‘இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்தாரே, உங்களுக்கோ ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே; நீங்கள் எனக்குச் செவிகொடாவிட்டால் போங்கள், நீங்கள் ஒவ்வொருவரும்போய் உங்கள் விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் பணிசெய்யுங்கள். ஆனாலும், அதன்பின்பு உங்கள் கொடைகளினாலும், விக்கிரகங்களினாலும் இனியொருபோதும் என் பரிசுத்த பெயரைத் தூய்மைக்கேடாக்க வேண்டாம். ஆனால் நிச்சயமாக நீங்கள் ஒரு நாள் எனக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பீர்கள்.

40 For in mine holy mountaine, euen in the hie mountaine of Israel, saith the Lord God, there shall all the house of Israel, and all in the lande, serue me: there will I accept them, and there will I require your offrings and the first fruites of your oblations, with all your holy things.

இஸ்ரயேலின் உயர்ந்த மலையாகிய என் பரிசுத்த மலையிலே, இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்தார் அனைவருமே தங்கள் நாட்டில் எனக்குப் பணிசெய்வார்கள். அங்கே நான் அவர்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வேன். அங்கே நான் உங்கள் பரிசுத்த பலிகளோடு உங்கள் காணிக்கைகளையும், உங்கள் நன்கொடைகளையும் எதிர்பார்த்திருப்பேன் என ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

41 I will accept your sweete sauour, when I bring you from the people, and gather you out of the countreys, wherein ye haue bene scattered, that I may be sanctified in you before ye heathen.

நாடுகளிலிருந்து நான் உங்களைக் கொண்டுவந்து, நீங்கள் சிதறடிக்கப்பட்டிருந்த நாடுகளிலிருந்து உங்களை ஒன்றுசேர்க்கும்போது, நான் உங்களை நறுமண தூபமாக ஏற்றுக்கொள்வேன். நாடுகளின் முன்னிலையில் உங்கள் மத்தியிலே என்னைப் பரிசுத்தராகக் காண்பிப்பேன்.

42 And ye shall knowe, that I am the Lord, when I shall bring you into the land of Israel, into the land, for the which I lifted vp mine hande to giue it to your fathers.

உங்கள் முற்பிதாக்களுக்குத் தருவதாக என் உயர்த்திய கரத்தினால் நான் ஆணையிட்ட நாடான, இஸ்ரயேல் நாட்டிற்கு நான் உங்களைக் கொண்டுவரும்போது, நானே யெகோவா என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்ளுவீர்கள்.

43 And there shall ye remember your wayes, and all your workes, wherein ye haue bene defiled, and ye shall iudge your selues worthy to be cut off, for all your euils, that ye haue committed.

அங்கே உங்கள் நடத்தையையும், உங்களை நீங்களே கறைப்படுத்திக்கொண்ட உங்கள் செயல்கள் எல்லாவற்றையும் நினைத்து, நீங்கள் செய்த எல்லாத் தீமைகளுக்காகவும் உங்களை நீங்களே அருவருத்துக்கொள்வீர்கள்.

44 And ye shall knowe, that I am the Lord, when I haue respect vnto you for my Names sake, and not after your wicked wayes, nor according to your corrupt workes, O ye house of Israel, saith the Lord God.

இஸ்ரயேல் குடும்பத்தாரே! நான் உங்கள் தீயவழிகளுக்கும், இழிவான நடத்தைகளுக்கும் ஏற்றபடியல்ல; என் பெயருக்கேற்பவே உங்களோடு நடந்துகொள்வேன். அப்பொழுது நானே யெகோவா என்பதை நீங்கள் அறிந்துகொள்வீர்கள்’” என ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார்.

45 Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

யெகோவாவினுடைய வார்த்தை எனக்கு வந்தது:

46 Sonne of man, set thy face toward the way of Teman, and drop thy word toward the South, and prophecie towarde the forest of the fielde of the South,

“மனுபுத்திரனே, உன் முகத்தை தெற்கு நோக்கித் திருப்பு. தெற்குப்பகுதிக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பிரசங்கித்து தென்தேசக் காட்டுக்கு விரோதமாய் இறைவாக்கு உரை.

47 And say to the forest of the South, Heare the worde of the Lord: thus saith the Lord God, Beholde, I will kindle a fire in thee, and it shall deuoure all the greene wood in thee, and all the drie wood: the continuall flame shall not bee quenched, and euery face from the South to the North shall be burnt therein.

தென்திசை காட்டிற்கு நீ சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது, ‘யெகோவாவினுடைய வார்த்தையைக் கேளுங்கள். ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவா கூறுவது இதுவே; நான் உங்களுக்கு நெருப்பு மூட்டப்போகிறேன். அது காய்ந்ததும் பச்சையுமான உங்கள் எல்லா மரங்களையும் எரிக்கும். அந்த எரியும் ஜூவாலை அணைக்கப்படமாட்டாது. அதனால், தெற்கிலிருந்து வடக்கு வரையுள்ள எல்லா முகங்களும் கருகிப்போகும்.

48 And all flesh shall see, that I the Lord haue kindled it, and it shall not bee quenched.

யெகோவாவாகிய நானே அதைக் கொளுத்தினேன் என்பதை ஒவ்வொருவரும் காண்பார்கள். அது அணைக்கப்படமாட்டாது என யெகோவா அறிவிக்கிறார் என்று சொல்’” என்றார்.

49 Then saide I, Ah Lord God, they say of me, Doeth not he speake parables?

அப்பொழுது நான், “ஆண்டவராகிய யெகோவாவே, ‘எப்பொழுதும் இவன் பழமொழிகளையல்லவா சொல்கிறான்’ என இவர்கள் என்னைக்குறித்து சொல்கிறார்களே என்றேன்.”
