Ezekiel 2
1 And he said vnto me, Sonne of man, stand vp vpon thy feete, and I wil speake vnto thee.
Sie sprach zu mir: "Du Menschensohn! Stell dich auf deine Füße, damit ich mit dir reden kann!
2 And the Spirite entred into me, when he had spoken vnto me, and set me vpon my feete, so that I heard him that spake vnto me.
Da kam ein Geist in mich, als er zu mir so redete, und er verhalf mir auf die Füße. Nun hörte ich ihn an, der mit mir sprach.
3 And he said vnto me, Sonne of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: for they and their fathers haue rebelled against me, euen vnto this very day.
Er sprach zu mir: "Du Menschensohn! Ich send dich zu den Söhnen Israels, zu einem Volke von Rebellen, die von mir abgefallen sind. Sie, wie schon ihre Väter, haben bis auf diesen Tag den Abfall von mir fortgesetzt.
4 For they are impudent children, and stiffe hearted: I do send thee vnto them, and thou shalt say vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God.
Die Söhne aber sind noch frecher und verstockter. Zu diesen sende ich dich hin; du sollst zu ihnen sagen: 'So spricht der Herr, der Herr',
5 But surely they will not heare, neither in deede will they cease: for they are a rebellious house: yet shall they knowe that there hath bene a Prophet among them.
sie mögen's hören oder auch es lassen - sie sind ja doch ein Haus der Widerspenstigkeit -, sie sollen aber wissen, daß unter ihnen ein Prophet verweilt.
6 And thou sonne of man, feare them not, neither be afraide of their wordes, although rebels, and thornes be with thee, and thou remainest with scorpions: feare not their wordes, nor be afrayde at their lookes, for they are a rebellious house.
Du aber, Menschensohn, sei ohne Furcht vor ihnen und ohne Furcht vor ihren Drohungen, obwohl sie Nesseln für dich sind und Dornen und du bei Skorpionen wohnen mußt! Vor ihren Drohungen sei ohne Furcht; vor ihren Blicken zittre nicht, auch wenn sie schon ein Haus der Widerspenstigkeit!
7 Therefore thou shalt speake my words vnto them: but surely they will not heare, neither will they in deede cease: for they are rebellious.
Trag ihnen meine Worte vor, sie mögen hören oder nicht! Sie sind der Ungehorsam selbst.
8 But thou sonne of man, heare what I say vnto thee: be not thou rebellious, like this rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eate that I giue thee.
Du also, Menschensohn, befolge das, was ich dir sage! Sei doch nicht widerspenstig wie das Haus der Widerspenstigkeit! Tu deinen Mund auf und verzehre, was ich dir jetzt gebe!"
9 And when I looked vp, beholde, an hande was sent vnto me, and loe, a roule of a booke was therein.
Danach sah ich mich um, und eine Hand war zu mir hingestreckt, und sieh, darin lag eine Buchrolle.
10 And he spred it before me, and it was written within and without, and there was written therein, Lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
Er breitete sie vor mir aus, und sie war in- und auswendig beschrieben, mit der Aufschrift: "Klagrufe, Seufzer, Weheklagen".
