Ezekiel 13

1 And the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

Y vino a mí la palabra del Señor, diciendo:

2 Sonne of man, prophecie against the prophets of Israel, that prophecie, and say thou vnto them, that prophecie out of their owne hearts, Heare the worde of the Lord.

Hijo de hombre, profetiza contra los profetas de Israel, y di a aquellos profetas cuyas palabras son la invención de sus corazones: Presta atención a la palabra del Señor;

3 Thus sayth the Lord God, Woe vnto the foolish Prophets that follow their owne spirit, and haue seene nothing.

Esto es lo que el Señor ha dicho: ¡Una maldición sobre los profetas necios que persiguen al espíritu que está en ellos y no han visto nada!

4 O Israel, thy Prophets are like the foxes in the waste places.

Israel, tus profetas han sido como chacales en los lugares desolados.

5 Ye haue not risen vp in the gappes, neither made vp the hedge for ye house of Israel, to stand in the battel in the daye of the Lord.

No has subido a las brechas ni has amontonado el muro para que los hijos de Israel ocupen su lugar en la lucha en el día del Señor.

6 They haue seene vanitie, and lying diuination, saying, The Lord sayth it, and the Lord hath not sent them: and they haue made others to hope that they would cofirme the word of their prophecie.

Han visto visiones sin sustancia y su adivinación es falsa; El Señor dice; y el Señor no los ha enviado: sin embargo esperan que la palabra tenga efecto.

7 Haue ye not seene a vaine vision? and haue yee not spoken a lying diuination? ye say, The Lord sayth it, albeit I haue not spoken.

¿No has visto una visión sin sustancia y has hablado una adivinación falsa, cuando dices: El Señor ha dicho; aunque no he dicho nada?

8 Therefore thus sayth the Lord God, Because ye haue spoken vanytie and haue seene lyes, therefore beholde, I am agaynst you, sayth the Lord God,

Así que esto es lo que el Señor Dios ha dicho: “Porque tus palabras no tienen sustancia y tus visiones son falsas, mira, estoy contra ti”, dice el Señor Dios.

9 And mine hande shalbe vpon the Prophets that see vanity, and diuine lies: they shall not be in the assemblie of my people, neither shall they be written in the writing of the house of Israel, neither shall they enter into the land of Israel: and yee shall know that I am the Lord God.

Y mi mano estará contra los profetas que ven visiones sin sustancia y sus profecías son falsas; no estarán en la congregación de mi pueblo, y no serán inscritos en la lista de los hijos de Israel, y no entrarán en la tierra de Israel; y sabrán que yo soy el Señor Dios.

10 And therefore, because they haue deceiued my people, saying, Peace, and there was no peace: and one buylt vp a wall, and behold, the others daubed it with vntempered morter,

Porque, incluso porque han estado guiando a mi gente al engaño, diciendo: Paz; cuando no hay paz; y cuando alguien construye un muro, alguien la cubre con lodo suelto.

11 Say vnto them which daube it with vntempered morter, that it shall fall: for there shall come a great showre, and I wil sende haylestones, which shall cause it to fall, and a stormie winde shall breake it.

Dile a los que blanquearon la pared, que caerá; habrá una lluvia desbordante; piedras de granizo, y se caerá; y será rota en dos por el viento huracanado.

12 Lo, when the wall is fallen, shall it not bee sayd vnto you, Where is the daubing wherewith ye haue daubed it?

Y cuando el muro se derrumbe, ¿no te dirán dónde está el lodo suelto que lo pusiste?

13 Therefore thus sayth the Lord God, I will cause a stormie winde to breake foorth in my wrath, and a great showre shall bee in mine anger, and hailestones in mine indignation to consume it.

Por esta razón, el Señor Dios ha dicho: Lo romperé en dos por una tormenta de viento en mi furor; y habrá una lluvia desbordante en mi ira, y piedras de granizo, vendrás lloviendo airadamente para consumirlo.

14 So I wil destroy the wall that ye haue daubed with vntempered morter, and bring it downe to the ground, so that the fundation thereof shalbe discouered, and it shall fal, and ye shalbe consumed in the middes thereof, and ye shall know, that I am the Lord.

Así que dejaré que se destruya la pared que cubrían con lodo suelto; Lo tendré nivelado a la tierra para que se descubra su base; descenderá, y la destrucción vendrá sobre ustedes con ella; y sabrán que yo soy el Señor.

15 Thus will I accomplish my wrath vpon the wall, and vpon them that haue daubed it with vntempered morter, and will say vnto you, The wall is no more, neither the daubers thereof,

De modo que voy a descargar mi furor en la pared en toda su extensión, y en aquellos que la blanquean; y les diré: ¿Dónde está la pared y dónde están los que la blanquearon?

16 To wit, the Prophets of Israel, which prophesie vpon Ierusalem, and see visions of peace for it, and there is no peace, sayth the Lord God.

Incluso los profetas de Israel que dicen palabras a Jerusalén, que ven visiones de paz para ella cuando no hay paz, dice el Señor Dios.

17 Likewise thou sonne of man, set thy face against the daughters of thy people, which prophesie out of their owne heart: and prophesie thou against them, and say,

Y tú, hijo de hombre, vuelve tu rostro contra las hijas de tu pueblo, que están actuando como profetas en su placer; profetiza contra ellos, y di:

18 Thus sayth the Lord God, Woe vnto the women that sowe pillowes vnder al arme holes, and make vailes vpon the head of euery one that standeth vp, to hunt soules: will yee hunt ye soules of my people, and will yee giue life to the soules that come vnto you?

Esto es lo que el Señor Dios ha dicho: ¡Hay una maldición sobre las mujeres que están cosiendo almohadillas para los codos y colocando velos en las cabezas de las personas de toda talla, para que puedan cazar las almas! ¿Irás tras las almas de mi pueblo y te mantendrás a salvo de la muerte?

19 And will ye pollute me among my people for handfuls of barly, and for pieces of bread to slay the soules of them that shoulde not dye, and to giue life to the soules that should not liue in lying to my people, that heare your lies?

Y me avergüenzan, me deshonran delante de mi pueblo por un poco de cebada y algunos trozos de pan, enviando muerte a las almas para las que no hay causa de muerte, y manteniendo a esas almas viviendo que no tienen derecho a la vida, por las palabras falsas que dices a mi gente que escucha lo que es falso.

20 Wherefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I will haue to do with your pillowes, wherewith yee hunt the soules to make them to flie, and I will teare them from your armes, and will let the soules goe, euen the soules, that ye hunt to make them to flie.

Por esta razón, el Señor ha dicho: Mira, estoy en contra de tus almohadillas con las que vas tras las almas, y las quitaré violentamente de sus brazos; y soltaré las almas, incluso las almas a las que dejaré volar libremente.

21 Your vailes also will I teare, and deliuer my people out of your hande, and they shalbe no more in your hands to be hunted, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.

Y separaré tus velos violentamente en dos, y liberaré a mi pueblo de tus manos, y ya no estarán en tu poder para que vayas tras ellos y sabrán que yo soy el Señor.

22 Because with your lyes yee haue made the heart of the righteous sadde, whome I haue not made sad, and strengthened the hands of the wicked, that he should not returne from his wicked way, by promising him life,

Porque con tus palabras falsas has entristecido a el hombre recto cuando no lo había entristecido; para hacer fuertes las manos del malvado para que no pueda ser apartado de su mal camino y preservar vida.

23 Therefore ye shall see no more vanitie, nor diuine diuinatios: for I wil deliuer my people out of your hand, and ye shall know that I am ye Lord.

Por esta causa no verás más visiones tontas o harás un uso falso de las profecías; y liberaré a mi pueblo del poder de ustedes; y sabrán que yo soy el Señor.
