Ezekiel 12

1 The worde of the Lord also came vnto me, saying,

بار دیگر پیغامی از طرف خداوند به من رسید. خداوند فرمود:

2 Sonne of man, thou dwellest in the middes of a rebellious house, which haue eyes to see, and see not: they haue eares to heare, and heare not: for they are a rebellious house.

«ای پسر انسان، تو در میان قومی عصیانگر زندگی می‌کنی که چشم دارند و نمی‌بینند، گوش دارند و نمی‌شنوند، چون یاغی هستند.

3 Therefore thou sonne of man, prepare thy stuffe to goe into captiuitie, and goe foorth by day in their sight: and thou shalt passe from thy place to another place in their sight, if it be possible that they may consider it: for they are a rebellious house.

حال، برای آنکه بدانند که چه واقعه‌ای به‌زودی رخ خواهد داد، بار و بنه‌ات را در روز روشن جمع کن و مانند کسی که به تبعید برده می‌شود، در مقابل انظار ایشان کوچ کن. شاید این یاغیان ببینند و معنی کار تو را بفهمند.

4 Then shalt thou bring foorth thy stuffe by day in their sight as the stuffe of him that goeth into captiuitie: and thou shalt go forth at euen in their sight, as they that go foorth into captiuitie.

بار و بنه‌ات را به هنگام روز از خانه بیرون بیاور تا بتوانند ببینند. سپس مانند اسیرانی که سفر دور و درازی در پیش دارند، شبانگاه حرکت کن و

5 Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and cary out thereby.

در مقابل چشمان ایشان، شکافی در دیوار ایجاد کن و وسایل خود را از آن بیرون ببر.

6 In their sight shalt thou beare it vpon thy shoulders, and carie it foorth in the darke: thou shalt couer thy face that thou see not the earth: for I haue set thee as a signe vnto the house of Israel.

در همان حال که نگاه می‌کنند، بار و بنهٔ خود را بر دوش بگذار و شبانه از آنجا دور شو. صورتت را نیز بپوشان تا سرزمینی را که ترک می‌کنی نتوانی ببینی. این کار تو نمایشی است از واقعه‌ای که به‌زودی در اورشلیم روی خواهد داد.»

7 And as I was commanded, so I brought forth my stuffe by day, as ye stuffe of one that goeth into captiuitie: and by night I digged through the wall with mine hand, and brought it forth in ye darke, and I bare it vpon my shoulder in their sight.

پس همان‌طور که خدا به من فرمود، عمل کردم. بار و بنه‌ام را مثل یک تبعیدی جمع کردم و در روز روشن بیرون آوردم و به هنگام شب، شکافی در دیوار ایجاد کردم و در حالی که مردم نگاه می‌کردند، بار و بنه‌ام را بر دوش گرفتم و در تاریکی بیرون رفتم.

8 And in the morning came the word of the Lord vnto me, saying,

صبح روز بعد، خداوند به من چنین فرمود:

9 Sonne of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, sayde vnto thee, What doest thou?

«ای پسر انسان، حال که قوم عصیانگر اسرائیل می‌پرسند که معنی این کارها چیست،

10 But say thou vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, This burden concerneth the chiefe in Ierusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.

به ایشان بگو که این پیغامی است از جانب خداوند یهوه به پادشاه و تمام قوم اسرائیل که در اورشلیم هستند.

11 Say, I am your signe: like as I haue done, so shall it be done vnto them: they shall goe into bondage and captiuitie.

بگو که آنچه کردی، نمایشگر چیزهایی است که بر سرشان خواهد آمد، چون از خانه و کاشانه‌شان بیرون رانده، به اسارت برده خواهند شد.

12 And the chiefest that is among them, shall beare vpon his shoulder in the darke, and shall goe forth: they shall digge through the wall, to cary out thereby: he shall couer his face, that he see not the ground with his eies.

حتی پادشاه، شبانه اسباب خود را بر دوش گذاشته، از شکافی که در دیوار شهر برایش ایجاد خواهند کرد، خواهد گریخت و صورتش را خواهد پوشاند و او سرزمینی را که ترک می‌کند نخواهد دید.

13 My net also will I spread vpon him, and he shall be taken in my net, and I will bring him to Babel to the lande of the Caldeans, yet shall he not see it, though he shall dye there.

اما من دام خود را بر او خواهم انداخت و او را گرفتار خواهم نمود و به شهر بابِل خواهم آورد و با این که در بابِل خواهد مرد، ولی آنجا را نخواهد دید.

14 And I will scatter toward euerie winde all that are about him to helpe him, and all his garisons, and I will drawe out the sworde after them.

اطرافیان، مشاورین و محافظین او را به هر سو پراکنده خواهم ساخت و مردم در جستجویشان خواهند بود تا ایشان را بکشند.

15 And they shall knowe that I am the Lord, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countreis.

هنگامی که آنها را در سرزمینهای مختلف پراکنده سازم، آنگاه خواهند دانست که من یهوه هستم.

16 But I will leaue a litle nomber of them from the sworde, from the famine, and from the pestilence, that they may declare all these abominations among the heathen, where they come, and they shall knowe, that I am the Lord.

اما تعداد کمی از ایشان را زنده نگاه خواهم داشت و نخواهم گذشت که در اثر جنگ و قحطی و بیماری هلاک شوند، تا در حضور مردم سرزمینهایی که به آنجا تبعید می‌شوند، اقرار کنند که چقدر شرور بوده‌اند و بدانند که من یهوه هستم.»

17 Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

سپس این پیغام از طرف خداوند به من رسید:

18 Sonne of man, eate thy bread with trembling and drinke thy water with trouble, and with carefulnesse,

«ای پسر انسان، خوراک را با ترس بخور و آب را با لرز بنوش،

19 And say vnto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord God of the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and of the lande of Israel, They shall eate their bread with carefulnes, and drinke their water with desolation: for the lande shall bee desolate from her abundance because of the crueltie of them that dwell therein.

و از جانب من به مردم اسرائیل و اورشلیم بگو که به سبب همهٔ گناهانشان، دچار قحطی شده، آب و خوراکشان را جیره‌بندی خواهند کرد و آن را با دلهره و هراس خواهند خورد.

20 And the cities that are inhabited, shall be left voyde, and the land shall be desolate, and yee shall knowe that I am the Lord.

شهرهای آبادشان ویران و مزرعه‌هایشان خشک خواهد شد تا بدانند که من یهوه هستم.»

21 And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

خداوند همچنین فرمود:

22 Sonne of man, what is that prouerbe that you haue in the land of Israel, saying, The dayes are prolonged and all visions faile?

«ای پسر انسان، این مَثَل چیست که مردم اسرائیل می‌گویند:”عمر ما تمام شد، پیشگویی‌ها عملی نشد!“

23 Tell them therefore, Thus sayeth the Lord God, I wil make this prouerbe to cease, and they shall no more vse it as a prouerbe in Israel: but say vnto them, The daies are at hand and the effect of euery vision.

به ایشان بگو که من این مثل را باطل می‌کنم. اینک وقت آن رسیده که همهٔ این پیشگویی‌ها عملی شوند.

24 For no vision shall be any more in vaine, neither shall there bee any flattering diuination within the house of Israel.

از این پس، هیچ رؤیا و پیشگویی کاذبی در میان مردم اسرائیل وجود نخواهد داشت.

25 For I am the Lord: I wil speake, and that thing that I shall speake, shall come to passe: it shall be no more prolonged: for in your dayes, O rebellious house, will I saye the thing, and will performe it, sayeth the Lord God.

زیرا من که یهوه هستم، سخن خواهم گفت و هر آنچه گفته باشم بدون تأخیر عملی خواهم ساخت. این سخن را از جانب من به ایشان بگو:”ای قوم عصیانگر اسرائیل، من دیگر تأخیر نخواهم نمود! در دوران زندگی خودتان هر آنچه گفته‌ام، به انجام خواهم رساند!“» این را خداوند یهوه می‌گوید.

26 Againe the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

سپس این پیغام از طرف خداوند نازل شد:

27 Sonne of man, beholde, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that hee seeth, is for many dayes to come, and he prophecieth of the times that are farre off.

«ای پسر انسان، قوم اسرائیل تصور می‌کنند که رؤیاها و نبوّتهای تو در آیندهٔ بسیار دور عملی خواهند شد.

28 Therefore say vnto them, Thus sayth the Lord God, All my wordes shall no longer be delayed, but that thing which I haue spoken, shall be done, saith the Lord God.

پس به ایشان بگو که یهوه چنین می‌فرماید:”از این پس، دیگر تأخیر رخ نخواهد داد. هر سخنی که گفته باشم، واقع خواهد شد!“» این را خداوند یهوه می‌گوید.
