Ezekiel 12
1 The worde of the Lord also came vnto me, saying,
Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
2 Sonne of man, thou dwellest in the middes of a rebellious house, which haue eyes to see, and see not: they haue eares to heare, and heare not: for they are a rebellious house.
Fils de l'homme, tu demeures au milieu des iniquités de ceux qui ont des yeux pour voir, et ne voient point; qui ont des oreilles pour entendre, et n'entendent point; car c'est une maison qui m'irrite.
3 Therefore thou sonne of man, prepare thy stuffe to goe into captiuitie, and goe foorth by day in their sight: and thou shalt passe from thy place to another place in their sight, if it be possible that they may consider it: for they are a rebellious house.
Et maintenant, fils de l'homme, prépare ton bagage, pour aller en captivité devant eux en plein jour; et devant eux tu seras emmené captif de ce lieu en un autre lieu, afin qu'ils te voient; car c'est une maison qui m'irrite.
4 Then shalt thou bring foorth thy stuffe by day in their sight as the stuffe of him that goeth into captiuitie: and thou shalt go forth at euen in their sight, as they that go foorth into captiuitie.
Et tu transporteras ton bagage pour aller en captivité devant eux, en plein jour; puis, sous leurs yeux, tu sortiras le soir, comme sort un captif.
5 Dig thou through the wall in their sight, and cary out thereby.
Creuse-toi un trou dans le mur de ta maison, et tu passeras par ce trou,
6 In their sight shalt thou beare it vpon thy shoulders, and carie it foorth in the darke: thou shalt couer thy face that thou see not the earth: for I haue set thee as a signe vnto the house of Israel.
Devant eux. Tu te feras porter sur des épaules, et tu sortiras dans les ténèbres; tu te cacheras le visage, et tu ne verras pas la terre; car je t'ai donné comme un signe à la maison d'Israël.
7 And as I was commanded, so I brought forth my stuffe by day, as ye stuffe of one that goeth into captiuitie: and by night I digged through the wall with mine hand, and brought it forth in ye darke, and I bare it vpon my shoulder in their sight.
Et je fis toutes ces choses, comme le Seigneur me l'avait commandé, et je transportai en plein jour mon bagage pour aller en captivité; et le soir je fis pour moi un trou au mur, et je sortis dans les ténèbres, et je me fis porter sur des épaules devant eux.
8 And in the morning came the word of the Lord vnto me, saying,
Et le matin, la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
9 Sonne of man, hath not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, sayde vnto thee, What doest thou?
Fils de l'homme, la maison d'Israël, cette maison qui m'irrite, n'a-t-elle pas dit: Que fais-tu?
10 But say thou vnto them, Thus saith the Lord God, This burden concerneth the chiefe in Ierusalem, and all the house of Israel that are among them.
Dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur: Moi, le prince et le chef de Jérusalem, à tout le peuple d'Israël, à tous ceux qui sont dans la ville,
11 Say, I am your signe: like as I haue done, so shall it be done vnto them: they shall goe into bondage and captiuitie.
J'ai dit: Je fais pour eux des signes; et comme j'ai fait, il leur adviendra. Ils partiront pour l'exil et la captivité.
12 And the chiefest that is among them, shall beare vpon his shoulder in the darke, and shall goe forth: they shall digge through the wall, to cary out thereby: he shall couer his face, that he see not the ground with his eies.
Et, au milieu d'eux, le roi sera porté sur des épaules, et il sortira dans les ténèbres, par une brèche de mur, et il aura fait cette brèche pour sortir; il se cachera le visage, de sorte que nul œil ne le verra, et lui-même ne verra pas la terre.
13 My net also will I spread vpon him, and he shall be taken in my net, and I will bring him to Babel to the lande of the Caldeans, yet shall he not see it, though he shall dye there.
Et je tendrai mon filet sur lui, et il y sera pris, et je le conduirai à Babylone, en la terre des Chaldéens; et il ne la verra pas, et il y mourra.
14 And I will scatter toward euerie winde all that are about him to helpe him, and all his garisons, and I will drawe out the sworde after them.
Et tous ses auxiliaires d'alentour, et tous ses alliés, je les disperserai à tous les vents, et je les poursuivrai à coups d'épée.
15 And they shall knowe that I am the Lord, when I shall scatter them among the nations, and disperse them in the countreis.
Et ils connaîtront que je suis le Seigneur, quand je les aurai dispersés parmi les nations, et ils seront dispersés dans toutes les contrées.
16 But I will leaue a litle nomber of them from the sworde, from the famine, and from the pestilence, that they may declare all these abominations among the heathen, where they come, and they shall knowe, that I am the Lord.
Et parmi eux je ferai échapper un petit nombre d'hommes au glaive, à la famine et à la peste, afin qu'ils racontent toutes leurs iniquités chez les nations où ils iront résider, et qu'elles sachent que je suis le Seigneur.
17 Moreouer, the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
18 Sonne of man, eate thy bread with trembling and drinke thy water with trouble, and with carefulnesse,
Fils de l'homme, mange ton pain dans la tristesse; bois ton eau dans les tourments et l'affliction.
19 And say vnto the people of the land, Thus saith the Lord God of the inhabitants of Ierusalem, and of the lande of Israel, They shall eate their bread with carefulnes, and drinke their water with desolation: for the lande shall bee desolate from her abundance because of the crueltie of them that dwell therein.
Et dis au peuple de la terre: Ainsi parle le Seigneur à ceux qui demeurent à Jérusalem et sur le territoire d'Israël: Ils mangeront le pain dans la détresse, et ils boiront leur eau dans la désolation, lorsque cette terre sera détruite avec sa richesse; car tous ceux qui l'habitent vivent dans l'impiété.
20 And the cities that are inhabited, shall be left voyde, and the land shall be desolate, and yee shall knowe that I am the Lord.
Et je rendrai désertes leurs villes si peuplées, et leur terre sera dévastée; et vous saurez que je suis le Seigneur.
21 And the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
22 Sonne of man, what is that prouerbe that you haue in the land of Israel, saying, The dayes are prolonged and all visions faile?
Fils de l'homme, quelle est cette parabole que l'on dit sur la terre: Les jours sont loin, la vision a péri?
23 Tell them therefore, Thus sayeth the Lord God, I wil make this prouerbe to cease, and they shall no more vse it as a prouerbe in Israel: but say vnto them, The daies are at hand and the effect of euery vision.
À cause de cela, dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur: Je changerai cette parabole, et on ne répètera plus cette parabole en la maison d'Israël; car tu lui diras: Les jours sont proches, et toutes les paroles de la vision.
24 For no vision shall be any more in vaine, neither shall there bee any flattering diuination within the house of Israel.
Car il n'y aura plus de vision fausse, ni de faux prophètes qui prédisent au milieu des fils d'Israël pour leur plaire.
25 For I am the Lord: I wil speake, and that thing that I shall speake, shall come to passe: it shall be no more prolonged: for in your dayes, O rebellious house, will I saye the thing, and will performe it, sayeth the Lord God.
Car moi-même, le Seigneur, je dirai mes paroles; je parlerai et j'exécuterai, et je ne différerai plus; car c'est en ces jours mêmes où cette maison m'irrite, que je vais parler, et j'exécuterai, dit le Seigneur.
26 Againe the word of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
Et la parole du Seigneur me vint, disant:
27 Sonne of man, beholde, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that hee seeth, is for many dayes to come, and he prophecieth of the times that are farre off.
Fils de l'homme, voilà que la maison d'Israël m'irrite; ils disent: La vision que cet homme a eue est pour des jours lointains, et il prophétise ainsi pour des temps loin de nous.
28 Therefore say vnto them, Thus sayth the Lord God, All my wordes shall no longer be delayed, but that thing which I haue spoken, shall be done, saith the Lord God.
À cause de cela, dis-leur: Ainsi parle le Seigneur: La parole que j'ai dite ne tardera pas à s'accomplir: je vais parler et j'exécuterai, dit le Seigneur.
