Ezekiel 11

1 Moreover, the Spirite lift me vp, and brought me vnto the East gate of the Lordes house, which lyeth Eastwarde, and beholde, at the entrie of the gate were fiue and twentie men: among whome I sawe Iaazaniah the sonne of Azur, and Pelatiah the sonne of Benaiah, the princes of the people.

Então me levantou o Espirito, e me levou á porta oriental da casa do Senhor, que olha para o oriente; e eis que estavam á entrada da porta vinte e cinco homens; e no meio d'elles vi a Jaazanias, filho de Azus, e a Pelatias, filho de Benaias, principes do povo.

2 Then said he vnto me, Sonne of man, these are the men that imagine mischiefe, and deuise wicked counsell in this citie.

E disse-me: Filho do homem, estes são os homens que pensam na perversidade, e aconselham conselho mau n'esta cidade.

3 For they say, It is not neere, let vs builde houses: this citie is the caldron, and wee be the flesh.

Que dizem: Não está proximo o tempo de edificar casas; esta cidade é a caldeira, e nós a carne.

4 Therefore prophesie against them, sonne of man, prophesie.

Portanto, prophetiza contra elles: prophetiza, ó filho do homem.

5 And the Spirite of the Lord fell vpon me, and said vnto me, Speake, Thus saith the Lord, O ye house of Israel, this haue ye said, and I know that which riseth vp of your mindes.

Caiu pois sobre mim o Espirito do Senhor, e disse-me: Dize: Assim diz o Senhor: Assim vós dizeis, ó casa d'Israel, porque, quanto ás coisas que vos sobem ao espirito, eu as conheço.

6 Many haue ye murthered in this citie, and ye haue filled the streets thereof with the slaine.

Multiplicastes os vossos mortos n'esta cidade, e enchestes as suas ruas de mortos.

7 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, They that ye haue slaine, and haue layed in the middes of it, they are the flesh, and this citie is the caldron, but I wil bring you foorth of the mids of it.

Portanto, assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Vossos mortos, que deitastes no meio d'ella, esses são a carne, e ella é a caldeira: a vós, porém, vos tirarei do meio d'ella.

8 Ye haue feared the sworde, and I wil bring a sworde vpon you, saith the Lord God.

Temestes a espada, e a espada trarei sobre vós, diz o Senhor Jehovah.

9 And I will bring you out of the middes thereof, and deliuer you into the hands of strangers, and will execute iudgements among you.

E vos farei sair do meio d'ella, e vos entregarei na mão de estranhos, e exercerei os meus juizos entre vós.

10 Ye shall fall by the sworde, and I wil iudge you in the border of Israel, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.

Caireis á espada, e nos confins d'Israel vos julgarei; e sabereis que eu sou o Senhor.

11 This citie shall not be your caldron, neyther shall ye be the flesh in the middes thereof, but I will iudge you in the border of Israel.

Esta cidade não vos servirá de caldeira, nem vós servireis de carne no meio d'ella: nos confins d'Israel vos julgarei.

12 And ye shall knowe that I am the Lord: for ye haue not walked in my statutes, neither executed my iudgements, but haue done after the maners of the heathen, that are round about you.

E sabereis que eu sou o Senhor, porque nos meus estatutos não andastes, nem fizestes os meus juizos; antes fizestes conforme os juizos das nações que estão em redor de vós

13 And when I prophesied, Pelatiah the sonne of Benaiah dyed: then fell I downe vpon my face, and cryed with a loude voyce, and saide, Ah Lord God, wilt thou then vtterly destroy all the remnant of Israel?

E aconteceu que, prophetizando eu, morreu Pelatias, filho de Benaias: então cahi sobre o meu rosto, e clamei com grande voz, e disse: Ah! Senhor Jehovah! porventura farás tu consummação do resto d'Israel?

14 Againe the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,

Então veiu a mim a palavra do Senhor, dizendo:

15 Sonne of man, thy brethren, euen thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel, wholy are they vnto whome the inhabitants of Ierusalem haue said, Depart ye farre from the Lord: for the lande is giuen vs in possession.

Filho do homem, teus irmãos, sim, teus irmãos, os homens de teu parentesco, e toda a casa de Israel, todos elles, são aquelles a quem os habitantes de Jerusalem disseram: Apartae-vos para longe do Senhor; esta terra se nos deu em possessão.

16 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God, Although I haue cast them farre off among the heathen, and although I haue scattered them among the countreis, yet wil I be to them as a litle Sanctuarie in ye countreis where they shall come.

Portanto, dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Ainda que os lancei para longe entre as nações, e ainda que os espalhei pelas terras, todavia lhes servirei de sanctuario, por um pouco de tempo, nas terras para onde foram.

17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God, I will gather you againe from the people, and assemble you out of the countreis where ye haue bene scattered, and I will giue you ye land of Israel.

Portanto, dize: Assim diz o Senhor Jehovah: Ora ajuntar-vos-hei dos povos, e vos recolherei das terras para onde fostes lançados, e vos darei a terra d'Israel.

18 And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the idoles thereof, and all the abominations thereof from thence.

E virão ali, e tirarão d'ella todas as suas coisas detestaveis e todas as suas abominações.

19 And I will giue them one heart, and I will put a newe spirit within their bowels: and I will take the stonie heart out of their bodies, and will giue them an heart of flesh,

E lhes darei um mesmo coração, e espirito novo porei dentro d'elles: e tirarei da sua carne o coração de pedra, e lhes darei um coração de carne

20 That they may walke in my statutes, and keepe my iudgements, and execute them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

Para que andem nos meus estatutos, e guardem os meus juizos, e os façam: e elles me serão por povo, e eu lhes serei por Deus.

21 But vpon them, whose heart is towarde their idoles, and whose affection goeth after their abominations, I will lay their way vpon their owne heades, saith the Lord God.

Quanto áquelles cujo coração andar conforme o coração das suas coisas detestaveis, e das suas abominações, farei recair nas suas cabeças o seu caminho, diz o Senhor Jehovah

22 Then did the Cherubims lift vp their wings, and the wheeles besides them, and the glorie of the God of Israel was vpon them on hie.

Então os cherubins elevaram as suas azas, e as rodas os acompanhavam; e a gloria do Deus d'Israel estava em cima, sobre elles.

23 And the glorie of the Lord went vp from the middes of the citie, and stoode vpon the moutaine which is towarde the East side of the citie.

E a gloria do Senhor se alçou desde o meio da cidade; e se poz sobre o monte que está defronte do oriente da cidade.

24 Afterwarde the Spirite tooke me vp, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Caldea to them that were led away captiues: so the vision that I had seene, went vp from me.

Depois o Espirito me levantou, e me levou á Chaldea, para os do captiveiro, em visão, pelo Espirito de Deus; e subiu de sobre mim a visão que eu tinha visto.

25 Then I declared vnto them that were led away captiues, all the things that the Lord had shewed me.

E fallei aos do captiveiro todas as coisas que o Senhor me tinha mostrado.
