< Ezekiel 11 >

1 Moreover, the Spirite lift me vp, and brought me vnto the East gate of the Lordes house, which lyeth Eastwarde, and beholde, at the entrie of the gate were fiue and twentie men: among whome I sawe Iaazaniah the sonne of Azur, and Pelatiah the sonne of Benaiah, the princes of the people.
And it lifted up me a spirit and it brought me to [the] gate of [the] house of Yahweh eastern which faces east-ward and there! [were] at [the] entrance of the gate twenty and five man and I saw in midst of them Jaazaniah [the] son of Azzur and Pelatiah [the] son of Benaiah [the] leaders of the people.
2 Then said he vnto me, Sonne of man, these are the men that imagine mischiefe, and deuise wicked counsell in this citie.
And he said to me O son of humankind these [are] the people who plan wickedness and who counsel counsel of evil in the city this.
3 For they say, It is not neere, let vs builde houses: this citie is the caldron, and wee be the flesh.
Who say not [is] in [the] near [future] to build houses it [is] the pot and we [are] the meat.
4 Therefore prophesie against them, sonne of man, prophesie.
Therefore prophesy on them prophesy O son of humankind.
5 And the Spirite of the Lord fell vpon me, and said vnto me, Speake, Thus saith the Lord, O ye house of Israel, this haue ye said, and I know that which riseth vp of your mindes.
And it fell on me [the] spirit of Yahweh and he said to me say thus he says Yahweh thus you have said O house of Israel and [the] thoughts of spirit your I I know it.
6 Many haue ye murthered in this citie, and ye haue filled the streets thereof with the slaine.
You have multiplied slain [ones] your in the city this and you have filled streets its [the] slain.
7 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, They that ye haue slaine, and haue layed in the middes of it, they are the flesh, and this citie is the caldron, but I wil bring you foorth of the mids of it.
Therefore thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh slain [ones] your which you have put in [the] midst of it they [are] the meat and it [is] the pot and you he will bring out from [the] midst of it.
8 Ye haue feared the sworde, and I wil bring a sworde vpon you, saith the Lord God.
A sword you have feared and a sword I will bring on you [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
9 And I will bring you out of the middes thereof, and deliuer you into the hands of strangers, and will execute iudgements among you.
And I will bring out you from [the] midst of it and I will give you in [the] hand of strangers and I will bring about on you judgments.
10 Ye shall fall by the sworde, and I wil iudge you in the border of Israel, and ye shall knowe that I am the Lord.
By the sword you will fall on [the] territory of Israel I will judge you and you will know that I [am] Yahweh.
11 This citie shall not be your caldron, neyther shall ye be the flesh in the middes thereof, but I will iudge you in the border of Israel.
It not it will become for you a pot and you you will become in [the] midst of it meat to [the] border of Israel I will judge you.
12 And ye shall knowe that I am the Lord: for ye haue not walked in my statutes, neither executed my iudgements, but haue done after the maners of the heathen, that are round about you.
And you will know that I [am] Yahweh whom in statutes my not you have walked and judgments my not you have done and according to [the] judgments of the nations which [are] around you you have done.
13 And when I prophesied, Pelatiah the sonne of Benaiah dyed: then fell I downe vpon my face, and cryed with a loude voyce, and saide, Ah Lord God, wilt thou then vtterly destroy all the remnant of Israel?
And it was when prophesied I and Pelatiah [the] son of Benaiah he died and I fell on face my and I cried out a voice great and I said alas! O Lord Yahweh complete destruction [are] you? making with [the] remnant of Israel.
14 Againe the worde of the Lord came vnto me, saying,
And it came [the] word of Yahweh to me saying.
15 Sonne of man, thy brethren, euen thy brethren, the men of thy kindred, and all the house of Israel, wholy are they vnto whome the inhabitants of Ierusalem haue said, Depart ye farre from the Lord: for the lande is giuen vs in possession.
O son of humankind brothers your brothers your [the] people of redemption your and all [the] house of Israel all of it whom they said to them [the] inhabitants of Jerusalem be distant from with Yahweh to us it it has been given the land to a possession.
16 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God, Although I haue cast them farre off among the heathen, and although I haue scattered them among the countreis, yet wil I be to them as a litle Sanctuarie in ye countreis where they shall come.
Therefore say thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh that I have removed far away them among the nations and that I have scattered them among the lands and I have become for them a sanctuary a little in the lands where they have gone there.
17 Therefore say, Thus saith the Lord God, I will gather you againe from the people, and assemble you out of the countreis where ye haue bene scattered, and I will giue you ye land of Israel.
Therefore say thus he says [the] Lord Yahweh and I will gather you from the peoples and I will gather you from the lands which you have been scattered among them and I will give to you [the] land of Israel.
18 And they shall come thither, and they shall take away all the idoles thereof, and all the abominations thereof from thence.
And they will come there towards and they will remove all detestable things its and all abominations its from it.
19 And I will giue them one heart, and I will put a newe spirit within their bowels: and I will take the stonie heart out of their bodies, and will giue them an heart of flesh,
And I will give to them a heart one and a spirit new I will put in inner being your and I will remove [the] heart of stone from flesh their and I will give to them a heart of flesh.
20 That they may walke in my statutes, and keepe my iudgements, and execute them: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God.
So that in statutes my they may walk and judgments my they may keep and they will do them and they will become for me a people and I I will become for them God.
21 But vpon them, whose heart is towarde their idoles, and whose affection goeth after their abominations, I will lay their way vpon their owne heades, saith the Lord God.
And to [the] heart of detestable things their and abominations their heart their [is] going conduct their on own head their I will requite [the] utterance of [the] Lord Yahweh.
22 Then did the Cherubims lift vp their wings, and the wheeles besides them, and the glorie of the God of Israel was vpon them on hie.
And they lifted up the cherubim wings their and the wheels [were] close by them and [the] glory of [the] God of Israel [was] above them from to above.
23 And the glorie of the Lord went vp from the middes of the citie, and stoode vpon the moutaine which is towarde the East side of the citie.
And it went up [the] glory of Yahweh from over [the] middle of the city and it stood still over the mountain which [was] from [the] east of the city.
24 Afterwarde the Spirite tooke me vp, and brought me in a vision by the Spirit of God into Caldea to them that were led away captiues: so the vision that I had seene, went vp from me.
And a spirit it lifted up me and it brought me Chaldea towards to the exile[s] in the vision by [the] spirit of God and it went up from on me the vision which I had seen.
25 Then I declared vnto them that were led away captiues, all the things that the Lord had shewed me.
And I spoke to the exile[s] all [the] words of Yahweh which he had shown me.
