Exodus 8

1 Afterward the Lord sayde vnto Moses, Goe vnto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people goe, that they may serue me:

Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Pergilah menghadap Firaun dan katakan kepadanya: Beginilah firman TUHAN: Biarkanlah umat-Ku pergi, supaya mereka beribadah kepada-Ku;

2 And if thou wilt not let them goe, beholde, I will smite all thy countrey with frogges:

jika engkau menolak membiarkannya pergi, maka Aku akan menulahi seluruh daerahmu dengan katak.

3 And the riuer shall scral ful of frogges, which shall goe vp and come into thine house, and into thy chamber, where thou sleepest, and vpon thy bed, and into the house of thy seruants, and vpon thy people, and into thine ouens, and into thy kneading troughes.

Katak-katak akan mengeriap dalam sungai Nil, lalu naik dan masuk ke dalam istanamu dan kamar tidurmu, ya sampai ke dalam tempat tidurmu, ke dalam rumah pegawai-pegawaimu, dan rakyatmu, bahkan ke dalam pembakaran rotimu serta ke dalam tempat adonanmu.

4 Yea, the frogges shall climbe vp vpon thee, and on thy people, and vpon all thy seruants.

Katak-katak itu akan naik memanjati engkau, memanjati rakyatmu dan segala pegawaimu."

5 Also the Lord said vnto Moses, Say thou vnto Aaron, Stretch out thine hande with thy rod vpon the streames, vpon the riuers, and vpon the ponds, and cause frogs to come vp vpon the land of Egypt.

Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Katakanlah kepada Harun: Ulurkanlah tanganmu dengan tongkatmu ke atas sungai, ke atas selokan dan ke atas kolam, dan buatlah katak-katak bermunculan meliputi tanah Mesir."

6 Then Aaron stretched out his hand vpon the waters of Egypt, and the frogges came vp, and couered the land of Egypt.

Lalu Harun mengulurkan tangannya ke atas segala air di Mesir, maka bermunculanlah katak-katak, lalu menutupi tanah Mesir.

7 And the sorcerers did likewise with their sorceries, and brought frogges vp vpon the land of Egypt.

Tetapi para ahli itupun membuat yang demikian juga dengan ilmu-ilmu mantera mereka, sehingga mereka membuat katak-katak bermunculan meliputi tanah Mesir.

8 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and said, Pray ye vnto the Lord, that hee may take away the frogges from mee, and from my people, and I will let the people goe, that they may doe sacrifice vnto the Lord.

Kemudian Firaun memanggil Musa dan Harun serta berkata: "Berdoalah kepada TUHAN, supaya dijauhkan-Nya katak-katak itu dari padaku dan dari pada rakyatku; maka aku akan membiarkan bangsa itu pergi, supaya mereka mempersembahkan korban kepada TUHAN."

9 And Moses said vnto Pharaoh, Concerning me, euen command when I shall pray for thee, and for thy seruants, and for thy people, to destroy the frogges from thee and from thine houses, that they may remaine in the riuer only.

Kata Musa kepada Firaun: "Silakanlah tuanku katakan kepadaku, bila aku akan berdoa untukmu, untuk pegawaimu dan rakyatmu, supaya katak-katak itu dilenyapkan dari padamu dan dari rumah-rumahmu, dan hanya tinggal di sungai Nil saja."

10 Then he said, To morowe. And he answered, Be it as thou hast said, that thou maiest know, that there is none like vnto the Lord our God.

Katanya: "Besok." Lalu kata Musa: "Jadilah seperti katamu itu, supaya tuanku mengetahui, bahwa tidak ada yang seperti TUHAN, Allah kami.

11 So the frogges shall depart from thee, and from thine houses, and from thy seruantes, and from thy people: onely they shall remaine in the riuer.

Maka katak-katak itu akan dijauhkan dari padamu, dari rumah-rumahmu, dari pegawai-pegawaimu dan dari rakyatmu; dan hanya akan tinggal di sungai Nil saja."

12 Then Moses and Aaron went out from Pharaoh: and Moses cryed vnto the Lord concerning the frogges, which hee had sent vnto Pharaoh.

Lalu Musa dan Harun keluar meninggalkan Firaun, dan Musa berseru kepada TUHAN karena katak-katak, yang didatangkan-Nya kepada Firaun.

13 And the Lord did according to the saying of Moses: so the frogges died in the houses, in the townes, and in the fieldes.

Dan TUHAN melakukan seperti yang dikatakan Musa, sehingga katak-katak itu mati lenyap dari rumah, dari halaman dan dari ladang.

14 And they gathered the together by heaps, and the land stanke of them.

Dikumpulkan oranglah bangkai-bangkainya bertumpuk-tumpuk, sehingga tanah itu berbau busuk.

15 But when Pharaoh sawe that hee had rest giuen him, he hardened his heart, and hearkened not vnto them, as the Lord had said.

Tetapi ketika Firaun melihat, bahwa telah terasa kelegaan, ia tetap berkeras hati, dan tidak mau mendengarkan mereka keduanya--seperti yang telah difirmankan TUHAN.

16 Againe the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Say vnto Aaron, Stretche out the rod, and smite the dust of the earth, that it may bee turned to lyce throughout all the land of Egypt.

Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Katakanlah kepada Harun: Ulurkanlah tongkatmu dan pukulkanlah itu ke debu tanah, maka debu itu akan menjadi nyamuk di seluruh tanah Mesir."

17 And they did so: for Aaron stretched out his hand with his rod, and smote the dust of the earth: and lyce came vpon man and vpon beast: all the dust of the earth was lyce throughout all the land of Egypt.

Lalu mereka berbuat demikian; Harun mengulurkan tangannya dengan tongkatnya dan memukulkannya ke debu tanah, maka nyamuk-nyamuk itu hinggap pada manusia dan pada binatang. Segala debu tanah menjadi nyamuk di seluruh tanah Mesir.

18 Nowe the enchanters assaied likewise with their enchantments to bring forth lyce, but they could not. So the lyce were vpon man and vpon beast.

Para ahli itupun membuat yang demikian juga dengan ilmu-ilmu manteranya untuk mengadakan nyamuk-nyamuk, tetapi mereka tidak dapat. Demikianlah nyamuk-nyamuk itu hinggap pada manusia dan pada binatang.

19 Then saide the enchanters vnto Pharaoh, This is the finger of God. But Pharaohs heart remained obstinate, and hee hearkened not vnto them, as the Lord had said.

Lalu berkatalah para ahli itu kepada Firaun: "Inilah tangan Allah." Tetapi hati Firaun berkeras, dan ia tidak mau mendengarkan mereka--seperti yang telah difirmankan TUHAN.

20 Moreouer the Lord sayd to Moses, Rise vp earely in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh (lo, hee will come forth vnto the water) and say vnto him, Thus saith the Lord, Let my people go, that they may serue me.

Berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Bangunlah pagi-pagi dan berdirilah menantikan Firaun, pada waktu biasanya ia keluar ke sungai, dan katakanlah kepadanya: Beginilah firman TUHAN: Biarkanlah umat-Ku pergi, supaya mereka beribadah kepada-Ku;

21 Els, if thou wilt not let my people goe, behold, I will send swarmes of flies both vpon thee, and vpon thy seruants, and vpon thy people, and into thine houses: and the houses of the Egyptians shalbe full of swarmes of flies, and the ground also whereon they are.

sebab jika engkau tidak membiarkan umat-Ku itu pergi, maka Aku akan melepaskan pikat terhadap engkau, terhadap pegawai-pegawaimu, rakyatmu dan rumah-rumahmu, sehingga rumah-rumah orang Mesir, bahkan tanah, di mana mereka berdiri akan penuh dengan pikat.

22 But ye land of Goshe, where my people are, wil I cause to be wonderfull in that day, so that no swarmes of flies shalbe there, that thou maiest know that I am the Lord in the middes of the earth.

Tetapi pada hari itu Aku akan mengecualikan tanah Gosyen, di mana umat-Ku tinggal, sehingga di sana tidak ada terdapat pikat, supaya engkau mengetahui, bahwa Aku, TUHAN, ada di negeri ini.

23 And I will make a deliuerance of my people from thy people: to morowe shall this miracle be.

Sebab Aku akan mengadakan perbedaan antara umat-Ku dan bangsamu. Besok tanda mujizat ini akan terjadi."

24 And the Lord did so: for there came great swarmes of flies into the house of Pharaoh, and into his seruants houses, so that through all the lande of Egypt, the earth was corrupt by the swarmes of flies.

TUHAN berbuat demikian; maka datanglah banyak-banyak pikat ke dalam istana Firaun dan ke dalam rumah pegawai-pegawainya dan ke seluruh tanah Mesir; negeri itu menderita karena pikat itu.

25 Then Pharaoh called for Moses and Aaron, and saide, Goe, doe sacrifice vnto your God in this lande.

Lalu Firaun memanggil Musa dan Harun serta berkata: "Pergilah, persembahkanlah korban kepada Allahmu di negeri ini."

26 But Moses answered, It is not meete to do so: for then we shoulde offer vnto the Lord our God that, which is an abomination vnto the Egyptians. Loe, can we sacrifice the abomination of the Egyptians before their eyes, and they not stone vs?

Tetapi Musa berkata: "Tidak mungkin kami berbuat demikian, sebab korban yang akan kami persembahkan kepada TUHAN, Allah kami, adalah kekejian bagi orang Mesir. Apabila kami mempersembahkan korban yang menjadi kekejian bagi orang Mesir itu, di depan mata mereka, tidakkah mereka akan melempari kami dengan batu?

27 Let vs go three dayes iourney in the desert, and sacrifice vnto the Lord our God, as he hath commanded vs.

Kami harus pergi ke padang gurun tiga hari perjalanan jauhnya untuk mempersembahkan korban kepada TUHAN, Allah kami, seperti yang difirmankan-Nya kepada kami."

28 And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that ye may sacrifice vnto the Lord your God in the wildernesse: but goe not farre away, pray for me.

Lalu kata Firaun: "Baik, aku akan membiarkan kamu pergi untuk mempersembahkan korban kepada TUHAN, Allahmu, di padang gurun; hanya janganlah kamu pergi terlalu jauh. Berdoalah untuk aku."

29 And Moses said, Behold, I will go out from thee, and pray vnto the Lord, that the swarmes of flies may depart from Pharaoh, from his seruants, and from his people to morowe: but let Pharaoh from hencefoorth deceiue no more, in not suffering the people to sacrifice vnto the Lord.

Lalu kata Musa: "Sekarang aku keluar meninggalkan tuanku dan akan berdoa kepada TUHAN, maka pikat itu akan dijauhkan besok dari Firaun, dari pegawai-pegawainya dan rakyatnya; hanya janganlah Firaun berlaku curang lagi dengan tidak membiarkan bangsa itu pergi untuk mempersembahkan korban kepada TUHAN."

30 So Moses went out from Pharaoh and prayed vnto the Lord.

Sesudah itu keluarlah Musa meninggalkan Firaun, lalu berdoa kepada TUHAN.

31 And the Lord did according to the saying of Moses, and the swarmes of flies departed from Pharaoh, from his seruants, and from his people, and there remained not one.

Dan TUHAN membuat seperti yang dikatakan Musa: pikat itu dijauhkan-Nya dari Firaun, dari pegawai-pegawainya dan rakyatnya; seekorpun tidak ada yang tinggal.

32 Yet Pharaoh hardened his heart at this time also, and did not let the people goe.

Tetapi sekali inipun Firaun tetap berkeras hati; ia tidak membiarkan bangsa itu pergi.
