1 Then afterwarde Moses and Aaron went and said to Pharaoh, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may celebrate a feast vnto me in the wildernesse.

2 And Pharaoh saide, Who is the Lord, that I should heare his voyce, and let Israel go? I knowe not the Lord, neither will I let Israel goe.
Tedae Pharaoh loh, “U BOEIPA nim a ol te ngai vetih Israel te ka hlah eh? BOEIPA te ka ming pawt dongah Israel te ka hlah mahpawh,” a ti nah.
3 And they saide, We worship the God of the Ebrewes: we pray thee, let vs goe three daies iourney in the desert, and sacrifice vnto the Lord our God, least he bring vpon vs the pestilence or sword.
Te phoeiah, “Hebrew rhoek kah Pathen loh kaimih te n'doe. Longpuei hnin thum caeh kah khosoek ah ka cet uh mai eh. BOEIPA ka Pathen te ka nawn uh pawn eh. Kaimih he duektahaw neh, cunghang neh n'cuuk tarha ve,” a ti nah rhoi.
4 Then saide the King of Egypt vnto them, Moses and Aaron, why cause ye the people to cease from their workes? get you to your burdens.
Tedae Egypt manghai loh amih rhoi te, “Moses neh Aaron, balae tih pilnam te a bitat na hlahpham sak, namah bi la cet,” a ti nah.
5 Pharaoh saide furthermore, Behold, much people is nowe in the lande, and ye make them leaue their burdens.
Te vaengah Pharaoh loh, “Khohmuen pilnam loh yet coeng tih amamih khaw a bitloh lamkah na kangkuen sak ke,” a ti.
6 Therefore Pharaoh gaue commandement the same day vnto the taskemasters of the people, and to their officers, saying,
Te khohnin ah tah Pharaoh loh pilnam sokah aka tueihno rhoek neh a rhoiboei rhoek te a uen.
7 Ye shall giue the people no more strawe, to make bricke (as in time past) but let them goe and gather them strawe them selues:
“Hlaem hlaemvai kah bangla laiboeng aka saii pilnam te cangkong paek ham vaengah koei pa uh boeh. Amamih cet uh saeh lamtah amamih ham cangkong te coi uh saeh.
8 Notwithstanding lay vpon them the nober of bricke, which they made in time past, diminish nothing thereof: for they be idle, therefore they crie, saying, Let vs go to offer sacrifice vnto our God.
Tedae laiboeng kah a lan a tang tah amih taengah hlaem hlaemvai kah, a saii bangla khueh uh lamtah yueh pah boeh. A duem uh ham tangloeng ni pang uh tangkhuet tih, ‘Ka Pathen te nawn ham ka cet ni,’ a ti uh.
9 Lay more worke vpon the men, and cause them to do it, and let the not regard vaine words.
Hlang rhoek ham thohtatnah loh a nan daengah ni te te a saii uh vetih laithae ol taengla a mang uh pawt eh,” a ti nah.
10 Then went the taskemasters of the people and their officers out, and tolde the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will giue you no more strawe.
Te phoeiah pilnam aka tueihno neh a rhoiboei rhoek te cet uh tih pilnam te a voek uh. Te vaengah, “Pharaoh loh, ‘Nangmih te cangkong kam pae mahpawh,’ a ti.
11 Goe your selues, get you strawe where yee can finde it, yet shall nothing of your labour bee diminished.
Namamih cet uh lamtah me lamkah a hmuh uh akhaw cangkong te namamih loh vawthaih uh. Tedae ol vanbangla na thohtatnah te hnop boeh,” a ti nah.
12 Then were the people scattered abroade throughout all the land of Egypt, for to gather stubble in steade of strawe.
Te vaengah pilnam te cangkong yueng la divawt coi ham Egypt kho tom ah taekyak uh.
13 And the taskemasters hasted them, saying, Finish your dayes worke euery dayes taske, as ye did when ye had strawe.
Te vaengah aka tueihno rhoek loh a tanolh uh tih, “Cangkong a om vaengkah bangla hnin at kah na bi tueng hno te amah khohnin ah coeng uh,” a ti nah.
14 And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaohs taskemasters had set ouer them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore haue ye not fulfilled your taske in making bricke yesterday and to daye, as in times past?
Amih sokah a khueh Pharaoh kah a tueihno rhoek loh Israel ca rhoek kah rhoiboei te a ngawn uh tih, “Hlaem hlavai kah bangla saii ham khaw hlaem neh tihnin kah khaw balae tih na oltlueh te na coeng uh pawh,” a ti na uh.
15 Then the officers of the children of Israel came, and cryed vnto Pharaoh, saying, Wherfore dealest thou thus with thy seruants?
Te dongah Israel ca rhoek kah rhoiboei rhoek te cet uh tih Pharaoh taengah pang uh tih, “Balae tih na sal rhoek taengah he he na saii.
16 There is no strawe giuen to thy seruantes, and they say vnto vs, Make bricke: and loe, thy seruants are beaten, and thy people is blamed.
Na sal rhoek he cangkong m'paek pawt ah kaimih taengah laiboeng saii ham a thui uh. Na pilnam a tholh akhaw na sal rhoek ni n'ngawn uh coeng he,” a ti na uh.
17 But he said, Ye are to much idle: therfore ye say, Let vs goe to offer sacrifice to the Lord.
Tedae, “Nangmih aka duem la aka duem rhoek, nangmih loh BOEIPA taengah hmueih nawn la caeh ham na thui tangkhuet.
18 Goe therefore nowe and worke: for there shall no strawe be giuen you, yet shall yee deliuer the whole tale of bricke.
Te dongah cet uh lamtah thotat uh laeh. Nangmih te cangkong m'paek pawt akhaw laiboeng tah a rhimong hil pae uh,” a ti nah.
19 Then the officers of the children of Israel sawe them selues in an euill case, because it was saide, Ye shall diminish nothing of your bricke, nor of euery dayes taske.
“Amah khohnin ah hnin at kah olka bangla na laiboeng te hnop boeh,” a ti coeng dongah amih loh a yoethae a puei te Israel ca kah rhoiboei rhoek loh a hmuh uh.
20 And they met Moses and Aaron, which stood in their way as they came out from Pharaoh,
Pharaoh taeng lamloh a nong vaengah amih rhoi doe ham aka pai rhoek loh Moses neh Aaron te a doo uh.
21 To whom they said, The Lord looke vpon you and iudge: for yee haue made our sauour to stinke before Pharaoh and before his seruants, in that ye haue put a sword in their hand to slay vs.
Te vaengah amih rhoi te, “BOEIPA loh nangmih te m'hmu saeh lamtah laitloek nawn saeh. Mamih kah hmuehmuei te Pharaoh mik ah bo a rhim sak tih a sal rhoek mikhmuh ah mamih ngawn ham a kut ah cunghang a paek,” a ti rhoi.
22 Wherefore Moses returned to the Lord, and saide, Lord, why hast thou afflicted this people? wherefore hast thou thus sent me?
Te dongah Moses te BOEIPA taengla mael tih, “Ka Boeipa aw, balae tih pilnam soah thae na huet? Balae tih he la kai nan tueih?
23 For since I came to Pharaoh to speake in thy Name, he hath vexed this people, and yet thou hast not deliuered thy people.
Na ming neh thui ham Pharaoh taengla ka pawk lamkah te pilnam he ni thae a huet thil tih, na pilnam te na huul khaw na huul hae moenih,” a ti nah.
