Exodus 40
1 Then the Lord spake vnto Moses, saying,
Yahvé parla à Moïse, et dit:
2 In the first day of the first moneth in the very first of the same moneth shalt thou set vp the Tabernacle, called ye Tabernacle of the Congregation:
Le premier jour du premier mois, tu relèveras le tabernacle de la tente de la Rencontre.
3 And thou shalt put therein the Arke of the Testimonie, and couer the Arke with the vaile.
Tu y placeras l'arche de l'alliance, et tu protégeras l'arche avec le voile.
4 Also thou shalt bring in the Table, and set it in order as it doth require: thou shalt also bring in the Candlesticke, and light his lampes,
Tu feras entrer la table et tu mettras en ordre les objets qui s'y trouvent. Tu feras entrer le chandelier et tu allumeras ses lampes.
5 And thou shalt set ye incense Altar of gold before the Arke of the Testimonie, and put the hanging at the doore of the Tabernacle.
Tu placeras l'autel d'or pour les parfums devant l'arche de l'alliance, et tu mettras le rideau de l'entrée du tabernacle.
6 Moreouer, thou shalt set the burnt offering Altar before the doore of the Tabernacle, called the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
« Tu placeras l'autel des holocaustes devant l'entrée de la tente de la Rencontre.
7 And thou shalt set the Lauer betweene the Tabernacle of the Congregation and the Altar, and put water therein.
Tu placeras le bassin entre la tente d'assignation et l'autel, et tu y mettras de l'eau.
8 Then thou shalt appoynt the courte round about, and hang vp the hanging at the courte gate.
Tu dresseras le parvis tout autour, et tu accrocheras le rideau de la porte du parvis.
9 After, thou shalt take the anoynting oyle, and anoynt the Tabernacle, and all that is therein, and halowe it with all the instruments thereof, that it may be holy.
« Tu prendras l'huile d'onction, tu oindras le tabernacle et tout ce qui s'y trouve, et tu le sanctifieras, ainsi que tout son mobilier, et il sera saint.
10 And thou shalt anoynt the Altar of the burnt offring, and all his instruments, and shalt sanctifie the Altar, that it may bee an altar most holie.
Tu oindras l'autel des holocaustes et tous ses ustensiles, tu sanctifieras l'autel, et l'autel sera très saint.
11 Also thou shalt anoynt the Lauer, and his foote, and shalt sanctifie it.
Tu oindras le bassin et sa base, et tu le sanctifieras.
12 Then thou shalt bring Aaron and his sonnes vnto the doore of the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and wash them with water.
« Tu feras venir Aaron et ses fils à l'entrée de la tente de la Rencontre, et tu les laveras avec de l'eau.
13 And thou shalt put vpon Aaron the holy garmentes, and shalt anoynt him, and sanctifie him, that he may minister vnto me in the Priestes office.
Tu revêtiras Aaron des vêtements sacrés, tu l'oindras et tu le sanctifieras, afin qu'il soit à mon service dans la fonction de prêtre.
14 Thou shalt also bring his sonnes, and clothe them with garments,
Tu feras venir ses fils, et tu les revêtiras de tuniques.
15 And shalt anoynt them as thou diddest anoynt their father, that they may minister vnto mee in the Priestes office: for their anoynting shall be a signe, that the Priesthood shall be euerlasting vnto them throughout their generations.
Tu les oindras, comme tu as oint leur père, afin qu'ils soient à mon service dans le sacerdoce. Leur onction leur servira de sacerdoce pour l'éternité, de génération en génération. »
16 So Moses did according to all that ye Lord had commanded him: so did he.
Moïse fit ainsi. Il fit tout ce que Yahvé lui avait ordonné.
17 Thus was the Tabernacle reared vp the first day of the first moneth in the seconde yeere.
Le premier mois de la seconde année, le premier jour du mois, on éleva le tabernacle.
18 Then Moses reared vp the Tabernacle and fastened his sockets, and set vp the boardes thereof, and put in the barres of it, and reared vp his pillars.
Moïse éleva le tabernacle, en posa les bases, en dressa les planches, en plaça les barres et en dressa les colonnes.
19 And he spred the couering ouer the Tabernacle, and put the couering of that couering on hie aboue it, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Il étendit la couverture sur la tente et posa dessus le toit du tabernacle, comme l'Yahvé l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
20 And he tooke and put the Testimonie in the Arke, and put the barres in the ringes of the Arke, and set the Merciseate on hie vpon the Arke.
Il prit l'alliance et la mit dans l'arche, il plaça les poteaux sur l'arche, et il plaça le propitiatoire au-dessus de l'arche.
21 He brought also the Arke into the Tabernacle, and hanged vp the couering vaile, and couered the Arke of the Testimonie, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Il fit entrer l'arche dans la tente, plaça le voile du rideau et protégea l'arche de l'alliance, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
22 Furthermore he put the Table in the Tabernacle of the Congregation in the Northside of the Tabernacle, without the vaile,
Il plaça la table dans la tente d'assignation, au nord de la tente, en dehors du voile.
23 And set the bread in order before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Il y déposa le pain en ordre devant l'Éternel, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
24 Also he put the Candlesticke in the Tabernacle of the Congregation, ouer against the Table toward ye Southside of the Tabernacle.
Il plaça le chandelier dans la tente d'assignation, en face de la table, du côté sud de la tente.
25 And he lighted the lampes before the Lord, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Il alluma les lampes devant l'Éternel, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
26 Moreouer he set the golden Altar in the Tabernacle of the Congregation before the vayle,
Il plaça l'autel d'or dans la tente d'assignation, devant le voile,
27 And burnt sweete incense thereon, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
et il y brûla des parfums d'aromates, comme l'Éternel l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
28 Also he hanged vp the vayle at the doore of the Tabernacle.
Il dressa le rideau de l'entrée de la tente d'assignation.
29 After, he set the burnt offring Altar without the doore of the Tabernacle, called the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and offered the burnt offering and the sacrifice thereon, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Il plaça l'autel des holocaustes à l'entrée du tabernacle, dans la tente d'assignation, et il y offrit l'holocauste et l'offrande, comme Yahvé l'avait ordonné à Moïse.
30 Likewise he set the Lauer betweene the Tabernacle of the Congregation and the Altar, and powred water therein to wash with.
Il plaça le bassin entre la tente d'assignation et l'autel, et y mit de l'eau pour se laver.
31 So Moses and Aaron, and his sonnes washed their handes and their feete thereat.
Moïse, Aaron et ses fils y lavèrent leurs mains et leurs pieds.
32 When they went into the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and when they approched to the Altar, they washed, as the Lord had commanded Moses.
Lorsqu'ils entraient dans la tente de la Rencontre et qu'ils s'approchaient de l'autel, ils se lavaient, comme l'avait ordonné l'Éternel à Moïse.
33 Finally, he reared vp the court rounde about the Tabernacle and the Altar, and hanged vp the vaile at the court gate: so Moses finished the worke.
Il releva le parvis autour de la tente et de l'autel, et dressa le rideau de la porte du parvis. Moïse acheva ainsi l'ouvrage.
34 Then the cloud couered the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and the glorie of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.
Alors la nuée couvrit la Tente de la Rencontre, et la gloire de Yahvé remplit la Tente.
35 So Moses could not enter into the Tabernacle of the Congregation, because the cloude abode thereon, and the glorie of the Lord filled the Tabernacle.
Moïse ne pouvait pas entrer dans la Tente de la Rencontre, car la nuée restait dessus, et la gloire de Yahvé remplissait la Tente.
36 Nowe when the cloude ascended vp from the Tabernacle, the children of Israel went forward in all their iourneyes.
Lorsque la nuée s'élevait au-dessus de la Tente, les enfants d'Israël continuaient à marcher dans tous leurs déplacements.
37 But if the cloude ascended not, then they iourneyed not till the day that it ascended.
Mais si la nuée ne s'élevait pas, ils ne voyageaient pas jusqu'au jour où elle s'élevait.
38 For the cloude of the Lord was vpon the Tabernacle by day, and fire was in it by night in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their iourneyes.
Car la nuée de Yahvé était sur le tabernacle pendant le jour, et il y avait du feu dans la nuée pendant la nuit, aux yeux de toute la maison d'Israël, pendant tous leurs voyages.
