Exodus 23
1 Thou shalt not receiue a false tale, neyther shalt thou put thine hande with the wicked, to be a false witnes.
Não admitirás falso rumor. Não serás cúmplice com o ímpio para ser falsa testemunha.
2 Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do euil, neither agree in a controuersie to decline after many and ouerthrowe the trueth.
Não seguirás aos muitos para mal fazer; nem responderás em litigio inclinando-te à maioria para fazer injustiças;
3 Thou shalt not esteeme a poore man in his cause.
nem ao pobre privilegiarás em sua causa.
4 If thou meete thine enemies oxe, or his asse going astray, thou shalt bring him to him againe.
Se encontrares o boi de teu inimigo ou seu asno extraviado, traze-o de volta.
5 If thou see thine enemies asse lying vnder his burden, wilt thou cease to helpe him? thou shalt helpe him vp againe with it.
Se vires o asno do que te aborrece caído debaixo de sua carga, lhe deixarás então desamparado? Sem falta ajudarás com ele a levantá-lo.
6 Thou shalt not ouerthrowe the right of thy poore in his sute.
Não perverterás o direito de teu pobre em seu pleito.
7 Thou shalt keepe thee farre from a false matter, and shalt not slaye the innocent and the righteous: for I will not iustifie a wicked man.
De palavra de mentira te afastarás, e não matarás ao inocente e justo; porque eu não justificarei ao ímpio.
8 Thou shalt take no gift: for the gift blindeth the wise, and peruerteth the wordes of the righteous.
Não receberás suborno; porque o suborno cega aos que veem, e perverte as palavras justas.
9 Thou shalt not oppresse a stranger: for ye knowe the heart of a stranger, seeing yee were strangers in the land of Egypt.
E não angustiarás ao estrangeiro: pois vós sabeis como se acha a alma do estrangeiro, já que estrangeiros fostes na terra do Egito.
10 Moreouer, sixe yeres thou shalt sowe thy land, and gather the fruites thereof,
Seis anos semearás tua terra, e recolherás sua colheita:
11 But the seuenth yeere thou shalt let it rest and lie still, that the poore of thy people may eat, and what they leaue, the beastes of the fielde shall eate. In like maner thou shalt doe with thy vineyard, and with thine oliue trees.
Mas no sétimo a deixarás vazia e liberarás, para que comam os pobres de teu povo; e do que restar comerão os animais do campo; assim farás de tua vinha e de teu olival.
12 Sixe dayes thou shalt do thy worke, and in the seuenth day thou shalt rest, that thine oxe, and thine asse may rest, and the sonne of thy maide and the stranger may be refreshed.
Seis dias farás teus negócios, e ao sétimo dia folgarás, a fim que descanse teu boi e teu asno, e tome refrigério o filho de tua serva, e o estrangeiro.
13 And ye shall take heede to all things that I haue sayde vnto you: and ye shall make no mention of the name of other gods, neither shall it be heard out of thy mouth.
E em tudo o que vos disse sereis avisados. E nome de outros deuses não mencionareis, nem se ouvirá de vossa boca.
14 Three times thou shalt keepe a feast vnto me in the yeere.
Três vezes no ano me celebrareis festa.
15 Thou shalt keepe the feast of vnleauened bread: thou shalt eate vnleauened bread seue dayes, as I commanded thee, in the season of the moneth of Abib: for in it thou camest out of Egypt: and none shall appeare before me emptie:
A festa dos pães ázimos guardarás: Sete dias comerás os pães sem levedura, como eu te mandei, no tempo do mês de Abibe; porque nele saíste do Egito: e ninguém comparecerá vazio diante de mim:
16 The feast also of the haruest of the first fruites of thy labours, which thou hast sowen in the fielde: and the feast of gathering fruites in the ende of the yere, when thou hast gathered in thy labours out of the fielde.
Também a festa da colheita, os primeiros frutos de teus trabalhos que houveres semeado no campo; e a festa da colheita à saída do ano, quando haverás recolhido teus trabalhos do campo.
17 These three times in the yeere shall all thy men children appeare before the Lord Iehouah.
Três vezes no ano comparecerá todo homem teu diante do Senhor DEUS.
18 Thou shalt not offer the blood of my sacrifice with leauened bread: neyther shall the fatte of my sacrifice remayne vntill the morning.
Não oferecerás com pão levedado o sangue de meu sacrifício, nem a gordura de meu animal sacrificado ficará da noite até a manhã.
19 The first of the first fruites of thy lande thou shalt bring into the house of the Lord thy God: yet shalt thou not seeth a kid in his mothers milke.
As primícias dos primeiros frutos de tua terra trarás à casa do SENHOR teu Deus. Não cozerás o cabrito com o leite de sua mãe.
20 Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keepe thee in the way, and to bring thee to the place which I haue prepared.
Eis que eu envio o anjo diante de ti para que te guarde no caminho, e te introduza no lugar que eu preparei.
21 Beware of him, and heare his voyce, and prouoke him not: for he will not spare your misdeedes, because my name is in him.
Guarda-te diante dele, e ouve sua voz; não lhe sejas rebelde; porque ele não perdoará vossa rebelião: porque meu nome está nele.
22 But if thou hearken vnto his voyce, and do all that I speake, the I wil be an enemie vnto thine enemies, and will afflict them that afflict thee.
Porém se em verdade ouvires sua voz, e fizeres tudo o que eu te disser, serei inimigo a teus inimigos, e afligirei aos que te afligirem.
23 For mine Angel shall go before thee, and bring thee vnto the Amorites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Canaanites, the Hiuites, and the Iebusites, and I will destroy them.
Porque meu anjo irá adiante de ti, e te introduzirá aos amorreus, e aos heteus, e aos perizeus, e aos cananeus, e aos heveus, e aos jebuseus, aos quais eu farei destruir.
24 Thou shalt not bow downe to their gods, neither serue them, nor doe after the workes of them: but vtterly ouerthrowe them, and breake in pieces their images.
Não te inclinarás a seus deuses, nem os servirás, nem farás como eles fazem; antes os destruirás por completo, e quebrarás inteiramente suas estátuas.
25 For ye shall serue the Lord your God, and he shall blesse thy bread and thy water, and I will take all sickenes away from the middes of thee.
Mas ao SENHOR vosso Deus servireis, e ele abençoará teu pão e tuas águas; e eu tirarei toda enfermidade do meio de ti.
26 There shall none cast their fruite nor be baren in thy lande: the number of thy dayes will I fulfill.
Não haverá mulher que aborte, nem estéril em tua terra; e eu cumprirei o número de teus dias.
27 I will send my feare before thee, and will destroy all the people among whome thou shalt go: and I will make all thine enemies turne their backes vnto thee:
Eu enviarei meu terror diante de ti, e abaterei a todo povo onde tu entrares, e te darei o pescoço de todos os teus inimigos.
28 And I will sende hornets before thee, which shall driue out the Hiuites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites from thy face.
Eu enviarei a vespa diante de ti, que lance fora aos heveus, e aos cananeus, e aos heteus, de diante de ti:
29 I will not cast them out from thy face in one yeere, least the land grow to a wildernes: and the beasts of the field multiplie against thee.
Não os expulsarei de diante de ti em ano, para que não fique a terra deserta, e se aumentem contra ti as feras do campo.
30 By litle and litle I will driue them out from thy face, vntill thou increase, and inherite the lande.
Pouco a pouco os expulsarei de diante de ti, até que te multipliques e tomes a terra por herança.
31 And I will make thy coastes from the red sea vnto the sea of the Philistims, and from the desert vnto the Riuer: for I will deliuer the inhabitants of the lande into your hande, and thou shalt driue them out from thy face.
E eu porei teu termo desde o mar Vermelho até o mar de filístia, e desde o deserto até o rio: porque porei em vossas mãos os moradores da terra, e tu os expulsarás de diante de ti.
32 Thou shalt make no couenant with them, nor with their gods:
Não farás aliança com eles, nem com seus deuses.
33 Neither shall they dwell in thy lande, least they make thee sinne against me: for if thou serue their gods, surely it shall be thy destruction.
Em tua terra não habitarão, não seja que te façam pecar contra mim servindo a seus deuses: porque te será de tropeço.
