Exodus 19
1 In the third moneth, after the children of Israel were gone out of the lande of Egypt, the same day came they into the wildernes of Sinai.
Miesiąca trzeciego po wyjściu synów Izraelskich z ziemi Egipskiej, w tenże dzień przyszli na puszczą Synaj.
2 For they departed from Rephidim, and came to the desart of Sinai, and camped in the wildernesse: euen there Israel camped before the mount.
Bo ruszywszy się z Rafidym, i przyszedłszy aż na puszczą Synaj, położyli się obozem na puszczy, i rozbił tam Izrael namioty przeciw górze.
3 But Moses went vp vnto God, for ye Lord had called out of the mount vnto him, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Iaakob, and tell the children of Israel,
A Mojżesz wstąpił do Boga, i zawołał nań Pan z góry, mówiąc: Tak powiesz domowi Jakóbowemu, i oznajmisz synom Izraelskim:
4 Ye haue seene what I did vnto the Egyptians, and how I caryed you vpon eagles wings, and haue brought you vnto me.
Wyście widzieli, com uczynił Egipczanom, i jakom was nosił niby na skrzydłach orłowych, i przywiodłem was do siebie.
5 Now therefore if ye wil heare my voyce in deede, and keepe my couenant, then ye shalbe my chiefe treasure aboue all people, though all the earth be mine.
Przetoż teraz jeźli słuchając posłuszni będziecie głosu memu, i strzec będziecie przymierza mego, będziecie mi własnością nad wszystkie narody; chociaż moja jest wszystka ziemia.
6 Yee shall be vnto mee also a kingdome of Priestes, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speake vnto the children of Israel.
A wy będziecie mi królestwem kapłańskiem, i narodem świętym. Teć są słowa, które mówić będziesz do synów Izraelskich.
7 Moses then came and called for the Elders of the people, and proposed vnto them all these things, which the Lord commanded him.
Przyszedłszy tedy Mojżesz zwołał starszych z ludu, i przełożył im wszystkie te słowa, które mu rozkazał Pan.
8 And the people answered all together, and sayd, All that the Lord hath commanded, we will doe. And Moses reported the wordes of the people vnto the Lord.
I odpowiedział wszystek lud, spólnie mówiąc: Wszystko, co Pan rzekł, uczynimy. I odniósł Mojżesz słowa ludu do Pana.
9 And the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Lo, I come vnto thee in a thicke cloude, that the people may heare, whiles I talke with thee, and that they may also beleeue thee for euer. (for Moses had tolde the wordes of the people vnto the Lord)
I rzekł Pan do Mojżesza: Oto, Ja, przyjdę do ciebie w gęstym obłoku, aby słuchał lud, gdy będę mówił z tobą, ażeby też wierzyli tobie na wieki; albowiem opowiedział był Mojżesz słowa ludu onego Panu.
10 Moreouer, the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Goe to the people, and sanctifie them to day and to morow, and let them wash their clothes.
Mówił zaś Pan do Mojżesza: Idź do ludu, a poświęć je dziś i jutro, a niech wypiorą szaty swoje.
11 And let them be ready on the third day: for the thirde day the Lord will come downe in the sight of all the people vpon mount Sinai:
I niech będą gotowi na dzień trzeci; albowiem trzeciego dnia zstąpi Pan przed oczyma wszystkiego ludu na górę Synaj.
12 And thou shalt set markes vnto the people rounde about, saying, Take heede to your selues that ye goe not vp the mount, nor touche the border of it: whosoeuer toucheth the mount, shall surely die.
I zamierzysz granice ludowi w około, mówiąc: Strzeżcie się, abyście nie wstępowali na górę, ani się dotykali brzegu jej; wszelki, kto by się dotknął góry, śmiercią umrze.
13 No hand shall touche it, but he shalbe stoned to death, or striken through with darts: whether it be beast or man, he shall not liue: when the horne bloweth long, they shall come vp into the mountaine.
Nie tknie się go ręka, ale kamieniem ukamionują go; albo strzelając zastrzelą go; bądź bydlę, bądź człowiek, nie będzie żył. Gdy przewłocznie trąbić będą, niech wstąpią na górę.
14 Then Moses went downe from ye mount vnto the people, and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.
Zstąpił tedy Mojżesz z góry do ludu, i poświęcił lud; a uprali szaty swoje.
15 And he said vnto the people, Be ready on the third day, and come not at your wiues.
I mówił do ludu: Bądźcie gotowi na dzień trzeci, nie przystępujcie do żon.
16 And the thirde day, when it was morning, there was thunders and lightnings, and a thicke cloude vpon the mount, and the sounde of the trumpet exceeding loude, so that all the people, that was in the campe, was afrayde.
Stało się tedy dnia trzeciego rano, że były grzmienia, i błyskawice, i gęsty obłok nad górą, i głos trąby bardzo potężny; a bał się wszystek lud, który był w obozie.
17 Then Moses brought the people out of the tents to meete with God, and they stoode in the nether part of the mount.
I wywiódł Mojżesz lud na przeciwko Bogu z obozu, a stanęli pod samą górą.
18 And mount Sinai was all on smoke, because the Lord came downe vpon it in fire, and the smoke therof ascended, as the smoke of a fornace, and all the mount trembled exceedingly.
A góra Synaj kurzyła się wszystka, przeto, iż zstąpił na nią Pan w ogniu; i występował dym z niej, jako dym z pieca, i trzęsła się wszystka góra bardzo.
19 And when the sound of the trumpet blew long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by voyce.
A gdy się głos trąby im dalej tem bardziej rozlegał, Mojżesz mówił, a Bóg mu odpowiadał głosem.
20 (For the Lord came downe vpon mount Sinai on the toppe of the mount) and when the Lord called Moses vp into the top of the mount, Moses went vp.
I zstąpił Pan na górę Synaj, na wierzch góry, i wezwał Pan Mojżesza na wierzch góry, i wstąpił tam Mojżesz.
21 Then the Lord said vnto Moses, Go down, charge the people, that they breake not their boundes, to go vp to the Lord to gaze, least many of them perish.
Zaczem rzekł Pan do Mojżesza: Zstąp, przestrzeż lud, by snać nie przestąpili kresu, chcąc Pana widzieć, aby ich nie padło wiele:
22 And let the Priestes also which come to the Lord be sanctified, least the Lord destroy them.
Nawet i kapłani, którzy przystępują do Pana, niech się poświęcą, by ich snać nie potracił Pan.
23 And Moses sayde vnto the Lord, The people can not come vp into the mount Sinai: for thou hast charged vs, saying, Set markes on the mountaine, and sanctifie it.
I rzekł Mojżesz do Pana: Nie będzie lud mógł wnijść na górę Synaj, ponieważeś ty nas przestrzegł, mówiąć: Ogranicz górę, a poświęć ją.
24 And the Lord sayd vnto him, Go, get thee downe, and come vp, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the Priestes and the people breake their boundes to come vp vnto the Lord, least he destroy them.
Któremu Pan rzekł: Idź, zstąp, a zaś tu wstąpisz, ty i Aaron z tobą: lecz kapłani i lud niech nie przestępują kresu, aby wstąpili do Pana, by ich snać nie potracił.
25 So Moses went downe vnto the people, and tolde them.
Tedy zstąpił Mojżesz do ludu i powiedział im to.
