Exodus 19
1 In the third moneth, after the children of Israel were gone out of the lande of Egypt, the same day came they into the wildernes of Sinai.
इस्राएलका मानिसहरू मिश्र देशबाट निस्केको तिन महिना बितेपछि ठिक त्यही दिनमा तिनीहरू सीनैको उजाड-स्थानमा आइपुगे ।
2 For they departed from Rephidim, and came to the desart of Sinai, and camped in the wildernesse: euen there Israel camped before the mount.
तिनीहरू रपीदीमबाट सीनैको उजाड-स्थानमा आइपुगेपछि तिनीहरूले पर्वतको सामुन्ने उजाड-स्थानमा छाउनी हाले ।
3 But Moses went vp vnto God, for ye Lord had called out of the mount vnto him, saying, Thus shalt thou say to the house of Iaakob, and tell the children of Israel,
मोशा परमेश्वरकहाँ माथि उक्लेर गए । परमप्रभुले पर्वतबाट तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “तैँले याकूबको घराना अर्थात् इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई यसो भन्नूः
4 Ye haue seene what I did vnto the Egyptians, and how I caryed you vpon eagles wings, and haue brought you vnto me.
मैले मिश्रीहरूलाई के गरेँ, र मैले कसरी तिमीहरूलाई गरुडको पखेटामा बोकेर मकहाँ ल्याएँ भनी तिमीहरूले देखेका छौ ।
5 Now therefore if ye wil heare my voyce in deede, and keepe my couenant, then ye shalbe my chiefe treasure aboue all people, though all the earth be mine.
अब तिमीहरूले आज्ञाकारितापूर्वक मेरो कुरा सुन्यौ र मेरो करार पालन गर्यौ भने सबै जातिमध्ये तिमीहरूचाहिँ मेरो विशेष सम्पत्ति हुनेछौ किनकि सबै पृथ्वी मेरै हुन् ।
6 Yee shall be vnto mee also a kingdome of Priestes, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speake vnto the children of Israel.
तिमीहरू मेरा लागि पुजारीहरूका राज्य र पवित्र जाति हुनेछौ । तैँले यी वचनहरू इस्राएलका मानिसहरूलाई बताउनू ।”
7 Moses then came and called for the Elders of the people, and proposed vnto them all these things, which the Lord commanded him.
मोशा ओर्लेर आई मानिसहरूका धर्म-गुरुहरूलाई बोलाउन पठाए । परमप्रभुले तिनलाई भन्नुभएका सबै वचन तिनले तिनीहरूका सामु राखे ।
8 And the people answered all together, and sayd, All that the Lord hath commanded, we will doe. And Moses reported the wordes of the people vnto the Lord.
सबै मानिसले सँगसँगै जवाफ दिए, “परमप्रभुले भन्नुभएका सबै कुरा हामी गर्नेछौँ ।” तब मानिसहरूका वचन परमप्रभुलाई भन्न मोशा आए ।
9 And the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Lo, I come vnto thee in a thicke cloude, that the people may heare, whiles I talke with thee, and that they may also beleeue thee for euer. (for Moses had tolde the wordes of the people vnto the Lord)
परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “म तँसित बोल्दा तँलाई मानिसहरूले सदाको लागि विश्वास गरून् भन्ने हेतुले म बाक्लो बादलमा तँकहाँ आउनेछु” । तब मोशाले मानिसहरूका वचन परमप्रभुलाई बताए ।
10 Moreouer, the Lord sayd vnto Moses, Goe to the people, and sanctifie them to day and to morow, and let them wash their clothes.
परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “मानिसहरूकहाँ जा । आज र भोलि तैँले तिनीहरूलाई मेरो लागि अलग गर् र तिनीहरूका आ-आफ्ना लुगाहरू धुन लगा ।
11 And let them be ready on the third day: for the thirde day the Lord will come downe in the sight of all the people vpon mount Sinai:
तेस्रो दिनमा तयार भएर बस् किनकि तेस्रो दिनमा परमप्रभु सीनै पर्वतमा ओर्लिआउनुहुनेछ ।
12 And thou shalt set markes vnto the people rounde about, saying, Take heede to your selues that ye goe not vp the mount, nor touche the border of it: whosoeuer toucheth the mount, shall surely die.
तैँले मानिसहरूका लागि पर्वतको वरिपरि सिमाना लगाउनू । तिनीहरूलाई भन्नू, 'तिमीहरू पर्वतमा उक्लेर नजाओ वा यसको सिमानालाई नछोओ । जसले पर्वतलाई छुन्छ त्यो निश्चय नै मारिनेछ ।'
13 No hand shall touche it, but he shalbe stoned to death, or striken through with darts: whether it be beast or man, he shall not liue: when the horne bloweth long, they shall come vp into the mountaine.
यस्तो व्यक्तिलाई कसैको हातले छुनुहुँदैन । बरु, उसलाई निश्चय नै ढुङ्गाले वा काँडले हानेर मारिनुपर्छ । चाहे त्यो मानिस होस् वा पशु त्यसलाई मारिनैपर्छ । जब तुरही लामो समयसम्म बज्छ तिनीहरू पर्वतको फेदीमा आउनुपर्छ ।”
14 Then Moses went downe from ye mount vnto the people, and sanctified the people, and they washed their clothes.
तब मोशा पर्वतबाट झरेर मानिसहरूकहाँ गए । तिनले मानिसहरूलाई परमप्रभुको निम्ति अलग गरे र तिनीहरूले आ-आफ्ना लुगाहरू धोए ।
15 And he said vnto the people, Be ready on the third day, and come not at your wiues.
तिनले मानिसहरूलाई भने, “तेस्रो दिनमा तयार होओ । सहवास नगर ।”
16 And the thirde day, when it was morning, there was thunders and lightnings, and a thicke cloude vpon the mount, and the sounde of the trumpet exceeding loude, so that all the people, that was in the campe, was afrayde.
तेस्रो दिनमा जब बिहान भयो गर्जन सुनियो र बिजुली चम्क्यो अनि पर्वतमा एउटा बाक्लो बादल देखा पर्यो र तुरहीको ठुलो आवाज आयो । छाउनीमा भएका सबै मानिस थरथर काँपे ।
17 Then Moses brought the people out of the tents to meete with God, and they stoode in the nether part of the mount.
परमेश्वरलाई भेट्न मोशाले मानिसहरूलाई छाउनी बाहिर ल्याए, र तिनीहरू पर्वतको फेदीमा खडा भए ।
18 And mount Sinai was all on smoke, because the Lord came downe vpon it in fire, and the smoke therof ascended, as the smoke of a fornace, and all the mount trembled exceedingly.
सीनै पर्वत पुरै धुवाँले भरिएको थियो किनकि परमप्रभु आगो र धुवाँमा यसमा ओर्लनुभएको थियो । भट्टीको धुवाँजस्तै गरी धुवाँ माथि गयो, र पुरै पर्वत बेस्सरी हल्लियो ।
19 And when the sound of the trumpet blew long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by voyce.
जब तुरहीको आवाज झनझन चर्को हुँदै गयो मोशा बोल्न लागे र परमप्रभुले तिनलाई सुन्ने गरी जवाफ दिनुभयो ।
20 (For the Lord came downe vpon mount Sinai on the toppe of the mount) and when the Lord called Moses vp into the top of the mount, Moses went vp.
परमप्रभु सीनै पर्वतको टुप्पोमा ओर्लनुभयो, र उहाँले मोशालाई टुप्पोमा बोलाउनुभयो । त्यसैले मोशा माथि उक्ले ।
21 Then the Lord said vnto Moses, Go down, charge the people, that they breake not their boundes, to go vp to the Lord to gaze, least many of them perish.
परमप्रभुले मोशालाई भन्नुभयो, “तल ओर्लेर गएर मानिसहरूलाई होसियार गरा नत्रता तिनीहरूले सिमाना नाघेमा धेरै जना नष्ट हुनेछन् ।
22 And let the Priestes also which come to the Lord be sanctified, least the Lord destroy them.
मेरो नजिक आउने पुजारीहरूले पनि आ-आफूलाई शुद्ध तुल्याऊन्, मेरो आगमनको लागि तिनीहरू तयार रहून् ताकि मैले तिनीहरूलाई प्रहार गर्न नपरोस् ।”
23 And Moses sayde vnto the Lord, The people can not come vp into the mount Sinai: for thou hast charged vs, saying, Set markes on the mountaine, and sanctifie it.
मोशाले परमप्रभुलाई भने, “मानिसहरू सीनै पर्वतमा आउन सक्दैनन् किनकि तपाईंले हामीलाई यसरी आज्ञा दिनुभएको छः पर्वतको वरिपरि सिमाना लगाउनू र त्यो परमप्रभुको लागि अलग गर्नू' ।”
24 And the Lord sayd vnto him, Go, get thee downe, and come vp, thou, and Aaron with thee: but let not the Priestes and the people breake their boundes to come vp vnto the Lord, least he destroy them.
परमप्रभुले तिनलाई भन्नुभयो, “जा, तँ आफै पर्वतबाट तल ओर्लेर जा, तँसँगै हारूलाई मकहाँ लिएर आइज । तर मकहाँ आउन पुजारीहरू र मानिसहरूले सिमाना ननाघून् नत्रता मैले तिनीहरूलाई प्रहार गर्नेछु ।”
25 So Moses went downe vnto the people, and tolde them.
त्यसैले मोशा मानिसहरूकहाँ तल ओर्लेर गई तिनीहरूलाई यी कुरा बताइदिए ।
