Exodus 15
1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song vnto the Lord, and sayd in this maner, I will sing vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and him that rode vpon him hath he ouerthrowen in the Sea.
Entonces Moisés y los hijos de Israel hicieron esta canción al Señor, y dijeron: Cantaré al Señor, porque él se enalteció grandemente; el caballo y el jinete los envió al mar.
2 The Lord is my strength and praise, and he is become my saluation. He is my God, and I will prepare him a tabernacle. he is my fathers God, and I will exalt him.
El Señor es mi fortaleza y mi ayuda fuerte, se ha convertido en mi salvación: él es mi Dios y le daré alabanza; el padre de mi padre y yo le daré gloria.
3 The Lord is a man of warre, his Name is Iehouah.
El Señor es gran guerrero; Él Señor es su nombre.
4 Pharaohs charets and his host hath he cast into the Sea: his chosen captaines also were drowned in the red Sea.
Los carros de guerra de Faraón y su ejército los ha enviado al mar; el mejor de sus capitanes descendió al mar Rojo.
5 The depths haue couered them, they sanke to the bottome as a stone.
Fueron cubiertos por las aguas profundas: como piedras, descendieron bajo las olas.
6 Thy right hande, O Lord, is glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath brused the enemie.
¡Glorioso, oh Señor, es el poder de tu diestra! con tu mano derecha los que vinieron contra ti están hechos pedazos.
7 And in thy great glorie thou hast ouerthrowen them that rose against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as the stubble.
Cuando se levantaron contra ti, con la grandeza de tu poder, fueron derribados; cuando envías tu furor, son quemados como hierba seca.
8 And by the blast of thy nostrels the waters were gathered, the floods stoode still as an heape, the depthes congealed together in the heart of the Sea.
Con tu aliento las olas se juntaron, las aguas que fluían se elevaron como una columna; las aguas profundas se hicieron sólidas en el corazón del mar.
9 The enemie sayd, I wil pursue, I wil ouertake them, I will deuide the spoyle, my lust shall bee satisfied vpon them, I will drawe my sworde, mine hand shall destroy them.
El enemigo dijo: Iré tras ellos, los alcanzaré, haré división de sus bienes; hasta quedar satisfecho; sacaré mi espada, mi mano enviará destrucción sobre ellos.
10 Thou blewest with thy winde, the Sea couered them, they sanke as leade in the mightie waters.
Enviaste tu viento, y el mar pasó sobre ellos; descendieron como plomo en las grandes aguas.
11 Who is like vnto thee, O Lord, among the Gods! who is like thee so glorious in holinesse, fearefull in prayses, doing wonders!
¿Quién como tú, oh Señor, entre los dioses? ¿Quién como tú, en tu santa gloria, para ser alabado con temor, haciendo maravillas?
12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hande, the earth swallowed them.
Cuando tu diestra estaba estirada, la boca de la tierra estaba abierta para ellos.
13 Thou wilt by thy mercie cary this people, which thou deliueredst: thou wilt bring them in thy strength vnto thine holy habitation.
En tu misericordia fuiste delante del pueblo que hiciste tuyo; guiándolos en tu poder a tu lugar santo.
14 The people shall heare and be afraide: sorow shall come vpon the inhabitants of Palestina.
Al oírte, los pueblos temblaban de miedo; la gente de Filistea estaba presa del temor.
15 Then the dukes of Edom shalbe amased, and trembling shall come vpon the great men of Moab: all the inhabitantes of Canaan shall waxe faint hearted.
Los jefes de Edom se turbaron de corazón; los hombres fuertes de Moab estaban aterrorizados: todo el pueblo de Canaán se acobardó.
16 Feare and dread shall fall vpon them: because of the greatnesse of thine arme, they shalbe stil as a stone, till thy people passe, O Lord: til this people passe, which thou hast purchased.
El temor y el dolor vinieron sobre ellos; por la fuerza de tu brazo fueron quietos como piedra; hasta que tu pueblo haya pasado, oh Señor, hasta que el pueblo haya pasado quien tú rescataste.
17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountaine of thine inheritance, which is the place that thou hast prepared, O Lord, for to dwell in, euen the sanctuarie, O Lord, which thine hands shall establish.
Tú los llevarás, y los plantarás en el monte de tu heredad, el lugar, oh Señor, donde tú hiciste tu casa, el lugar santo, oh Señor, que tus manos establecieron.
18 The Lord shall reigne for euer and euer.
El Señor es Rey por los siglos de los siglos.
19 For Pharaohs horses went with his charets and horsemen into the Sea, and the Lord brought the waters of the Sea vpon them: but the children of Israel went on drie land in the middes of the Sea.
Porque los caballos de Faraón, con sus carruajes de guerra y su gente de a caballo, se metieron en el mar, y el Señor envió las aguas del mar sobre ellos; pero los hijos de Israel atravesaron el mar en tierra firme.
20 And Miriam the prophetesse, sister of Aaron tooke a timbrell in her hande, and all the women came out after her with timbrels and daunces.
Y Miriam, la mujer profetisa, hermana de Aarón, tomó un instrumento de música en su mano; y todas las mujeres la persiguieron con música y bailes.
21 And Miriam answered the men, Sing yee vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath hee ouerthrowen in the Sea.
Y Miriam, respondiendo, dijo: Dale una canción al Señor, porque él es levantado en gloria; el caballo y el jinete ha enviado al mar.
22 Then Moses brought Israel from the redde Sea, and they went out into the wildernesse of Shur: and they went three dayes in the wildernesse, and found no waters.
Entonces Moisés hizo partir a Israel del mar rojo, y salieron al desierto de Shur; y durante tres días estuvieron en la tierra baldía donde no había agua.
23 And whe they came to Marah, they could not drinke of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of the place was called Marah.
Y cuando llegaron a Mara, el agua no era buena para beber, porque las aguas de Mara eran amargas, por eso le llamaron Mara a ese lugar.
24 Then the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drinke?
Y el pueblo, clamando contra Moisés, dijo: ¿Qué hemos de tomar de beber?
25 And he cried vnto the Lord, and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were sweete: there he made them an ordinance and a law, and there he proued them,
Y en respuesta a su oración, el Señor le hizo ver un árbol, y cuando lo puso en el agua, el agua se hizo dulce. Allí les dio una ley y una orden, probándolos;
26 And sayd, if thou wilt diligently hearken, O Israel, vnto the voyce of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that, which is right in his sight, and wilt giue eare vnto his commandements, and keepe all his ordinances, then will I put none of these diseases vpon thee, which I brought vpon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
Y él dijo: Si con todo tu corazón prestas atención a la voz del Señor tu Dios, y haces lo que es recto ante sus ojos, escuchando sus órdenes y guardando sus leyes, no te pondré ninguna de las enfermedades que puse a los egipcios: porque yo soy el Señor, tu sanador.
27 And they came to Elim, where were twelue fountaines of water, and seuentie palme trees, and they camped thereby the waters.
Llegaron a Elim, donde había doce fuentes de agua y setenta palmeras, y allí pusieron sus tiendas junto a las aguas.
