Exodus 15
1 Then sang Moses and the children of Israel this song vnto the Lord, and sayd in this maner, I will sing vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and him that rode vpon him hath he ouerthrowen in the Sea.
Então cantou Moysés e os filhos d'Israel este cantico ao Senhor, e fallaram, dizendo: Cantarei ao Senhor, porque summamente se exaltou: lançou no mar o cavallo e o seu cavalleiro.
2 The Lord is my strength and praise, and he is become my saluation. He is my God, and I will prepare him a tabernacle. he is my fathers God, and I will exalt him.
O Senhor é a minha força, e o meu cantico; elle me foi por salvação; este é o meu Deus, portanto lhe farei uma habitação; elle é o Deus de meu pae, por isso o exaltarei.
3 The Lord is a man of warre, his Name is Iehouah.
O Senhor é varão de guerra: o Senhor é o seu nome.
4 Pharaohs charets and his host hath he cast into the Sea: his chosen captaines also were drowned in the red Sea.
Lançou no mar os carros de Pharaó e o seu exercito; e os seus escolhidos principes afogaram-se no Mar Vermelho.
5 The depths haue couered them, they sanke to the bottome as a stone.
Os abysmos os cobriram: desceram ás profundezas como pedra.
6 Thy right hande, O Lord, is glorious in power: thy right hand, O Lord, hath brused the enemie.
A tua dextra, ó Senhor, se tem glorificado em potencia: a tua dextra, ó Senhor, tem despedaçado o inimigo;
7 And in thy great glorie thou hast ouerthrowen them that rose against thee: thou sentest forth thy wrath, which consumed them as the stubble.
E com a grandeza da tua excellencia derribaste aos que se levantaram contra ti: enviaste o teu furor, que os consumiu como o rastolho.
8 And by the blast of thy nostrels the waters were gathered, the floods stoode still as an heape, the depthes congealed together in the heart of the Sea.
E com o sopro dos teus narizes amontoaram-se as aguas, as correntes pararam-se como montão: os abysmos coalharam-se no coração do mar.
9 The enemie sayd, I wil pursue, I wil ouertake them, I will deuide the spoyle, my lust shall bee satisfied vpon them, I will drawe my sworde, mine hand shall destroy them.
O inimigo dizia: Perseguirei, alcançarei, repartirei os despojos: fartar-se-ha a minha alma d'elles, arrancarei a minha espada, a minha mão os destruirá,
10 Thou blewest with thy winde, the Sea couered them, they sanke as leade in the mightie waters.
Sopraste com o teu vento, o mar os cobriu: afundaram-se como chumbo em vehementes aguas.
11 Who is like vnto thee, O Lord, among the Gods! who is like thee so glorious in holinesse, fearefull in prayses, doing wonders!
Ó Senhor, quem é como tu entre os deuses? quem é como tu glorificado em sanctidade, terrivel em louvores, obrando maravilhas?
12 Thou stretchedst out thy right hande, the earth swallowed them.
Estendeste a tua mão direita: a terra os tragou.
13 Thou wilt by thy mercie cary this people, which thou deliueredst: thou wilt bring them in thy strength vnto thine holy habitation.
Tu, com a tua beneficencia, guiaste a este povo, que salvaste: com a tua força o levaste á habitação da tua sanctidade.
14 The people shall heare and be afraide: sorow shall come vpon the inhabitants of Palestina.
Os povos o ouvirão, elles estremecerão: apoderar-se-ha uma dôr dos habitantes da Palestina.
15 Then the dukes of Edom shalbe amased, and trembling shall come vpon the great men of Moab: all the inhabitantes of Canaan shall waxe faint hearted.
Então os principes de Edom se pasmarão, dos poderosos dos moabitas apoderar-se-ha um tremor, derreter-se-hão todos os habitantes de Canaan.
16 Feare and dread shall fall vpon them: because of the greatnesse of thine arme, they shalbe stil as a stone, till thy people passe, O Lord: til this people passe, which thou hast purchased.
Espanto e pavor cairá sobre elles: pela grandeza do teu braço emmudecerão como pedra; até que o teu povo haja passado, ó Senhor, até que passe este povo que adquiriste.
17 Thou shalt bring them in, and plant them in the mountaine of thine inheritance, which is the place that thou hast prepared, O Lord, for to dwell in, euen the sanctuarie, O Lord, which thine hands shall establish.
Tu os introduzirás, e os plantarás no monte da tua herança, no logar que tu, ó Senhor, apparelhaste para a tua habitação, o sanctuario, ó Senhor, que as tuas mãos estabeleceram.
18 The Lord shall reigne for euer and euer.
O Senhor reinará eterna e perpetuamente;
19 For Pharaohs horses went with his charets and horsemen into the Sea, and the Lord brought the waters of the Sea vpon them: but the children of Israel went on drie land in the middes of the Sea.
Porque os cavallos de Pharaó, com os seus carros e com os seus cavalleiros, entraram no mar, e o Senhor fez tornar as aguas do mar sobre elles; mas os filhos d'Israel passaram em secco pelo meio do mar.
20 And Miriam the prophetesse, sister of Aaron tooke a timbrell in her hande, and all the women came out after her with timbrels and daunces.
Então Miriam, a prophetiza, a irmã d'Aarão, tomou o tamboril na sua mão, e todas as mulheres sairam atraz d'ella com tamboris e com danças.
21 And Miriam answered the men, Sing yee vnto the Lord: for he hath triumphed gloriously: the horse and his rider hath hee ouerthrowen in the Sea.
E Miriam lhes respondia: Cantae ao Senhor, porque summamente se exaltou, e lançou no mar o cavallo com o seu cavalleiro.
22 Then Moses brought Israel from the redde Sea, and they went out into the wildernesse of Shur: and they went three dayes in the wildernesse, and found no waters.
Depois fez Moysés partir os israelitas do Mar Vermelho, e sairam ao deserto de Sur: e andaram tres dias no deserto, e não acharam aguas.
23 And whe they came to Marah, they could not drinke of the waters of Marah, for they were bitter: therefore the name of the place was called Marah.
Então chegaram a Marah; mas não poderam beber as aguas de Marah, porque eram amargas: por isso chamou-se o seu nome Marah.
24 Then the people murmured against Moses, saying, What shall we drinke?
E o povo murmurou contra Moysés, dizendo: Que havemos de beber?
25 And he cried vnto the Lord, and the Lord shewed him a tree, which when he had cast into the waters, the waters were sweete: there he made them an ordinance and a law, and there he proued them,
E elle clamou ao Senhor, e o Senhor mostrou-lhe um lenho que lançou nas aguas, e as aguas se tornaram doces: ali lhes deu estatutos e uma ordenação, e ali os provou.
26 And sayd, if thou wilt diligently hearken, O Israel, vnto the voyce of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that, which is right in his sight, and wilt giue eare vnto his commandements, and keepe all his ordinances, then will I put none of these diseases vpon thee, which I brought vpon the Egyptians: for I am the Lord that healeth thee.
E disse: Se ouvires attento a voz do Senhor teu Deus, e obrares o que é recto diante de seus olhos, e inclinares os teus ouvidos aos seus mandamentos, e guardares todos os seus estatutos, nenhuma das enfermidades porei sobre ti, que puz sobre o Egypto; porque eu sou o Senhor que te sara.
27 And they came to Elim, where were twelue fountaines of water, and seuentie palme trees, and they camped thereby the waters.
Então vieram a Elim, e havia ali doze fontes d'agua e setenta palmeiras: e ali se acamparam junto das aguas.
