Esther 10

1 And the King Ahashuerosh layd a tribute vpon the land, and vpon the yles of the sea.

Pea naʻe fokotuʻu ʻe ʻAhasivelo ʻene fekau ke tukuhau ʻae fonua, pea mo e ngaahi motu ʻoe tahi.

2 And all the actes of his power, and of his might, and the declaration of the dignitie of Mordecai, wherwith the King magnified him, are they not written in the booke of the Chronicles of the Kings of Media and Persia?

Pea ko e ngaahi ngāue ʻo ʻene mālohi mo ʻene mafai, mo hono fakahā ʻae lahi ʻo Motekiai, ʻaia naʻe fakahikihiki ia ki ai ʻe he tuʻi, ʻikai kuo tohi ia ʻi he tohi fakamatala ki he ngaahi tuʻi ʻo Mitia mo Peasia?

3 For Mordecai the Iewe was the second vnto King Ahashuerosh, and great among the Iewes, and accepted among the multitude of his brethren, who procured the wealth of his people, and spake peaceably to all his seede.

He naʻe hoko ʻa Motekiai ko e Siu mo e tuʻi ko ʻAhasivelo, pea naʻe lahi ia ʻi he ʻao ʻae kakai Siu, pea naʻe maʻu lelei ia ʻe he fuʻu tokolahi ʻo hono kāinga, naʻe kumi ʻe ia ke koloaʻia ʻa hono kakai, pea naʻa ne lea fakamelino ki hono hako kotoa pē.
