Ephesians 6
1 Children, obey your parents in the Lord: for this is right.
Watoto watiini wazazi wenu katika Bwana, kwa maana hii ni haki.
2 Honour thy father and mother (which is the first commandement with promise)
“Mheshimu baba yako na mama yako” (Maana hii ndiyo amri ya kwanza yenye ahadi),
3 That it may be well with thee, and that thou mayst liue long on earth.
“ili iwe heri kwenu na muweze kuishi maisha marefu juu ya nchi.”
4 And ye, fathers, prouoke not your children to wrath: but bring them vp in instruction and information of the Lord.
Na ninyi akina baba, msiwakwaze watoto na kuwasababishia hasira, badala yake, waleeni katika maonyo na maagizo ya Bwana.
5 Seruants, be obedient vnto them that are your masters, according to the flesh, with feare and trembling in singlenesse of your hearts as vnto Christ,
Enyi watumwa, iweni watiifu kwa mabwana zenu wa hapa duniani kwa heshima kubwa na kutetemeka kwa hofu itokayo mioyoni mwenu. muwe watiifu kwao kama vile mnavyomtii Kristo.
6 Not with seruice to the eye, as men pleasers, but as the seruants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart,
Utii wenu usiwe tu pale mabwana zenu wanapowatazama ili kuwafurahisha. Badala yake, iweni watiifu kama watumwa wa Kristo. Fanyeni Mapenzi ya Mungu kutoka mioyoni mwenu,
7 With good will, seruing the Lord, and not men.
watumikieni kwa mioyo yenu yote, kwa kuwa mnamtumikia Bwana na wala si wanadamu,
8 And knowe ye that whatsoeuer good thing any man doeth, that same shall he receiue of the Lord, whether he be bond or free.
mnapaswa kujua kwamba katika kila tendo jema mtu analofanya, atapokea zawadi kutoka kwa Bwana, ikiwa ni mtumwa au mtu huru.
9 And ye masters, doe the same things vnto them, putting away threatning: and know that euen your master also is in heauen, neither is there respect of person with him.
Na ninyi mabwana fanyeni vivyo hivyo kwa watumwa wenu. Msiwatishe mkijua kwamba yeye aliye Bwana wa wote ni yule aliye mbinguni. Mkijua kuwa hakuna upendeleo ndani yake.
10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might.
Hatimaye, iweni na nguvu katika Bwana na katika uwezo wa nguvu zake.
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the assaultes of the deuil.
Vaeni silaha zote za Mungu, ili kwamba mpate kusimama kinyume na hila za shetani.
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, and against the worldly gouernours, the princes of the darkenesse of this worlde, against spirituall wickednesses, which are in ye hie places. (aiōn g165)
kwa kuwa vita yetu si ya damu na nyama, bali ni dhidi ya falme na mamlaka ya roho na watawala wa ulimwengu wa uovu na giza, dhidi ya pepo katika sehemu za mbingu. (aiōn g165)
13 For this cause take vnto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to resist in the euill day, and hauing finished all things, stand fast.
Kwa hiyo, vaeni silaha zote za Mungu, ili mpate kusimama imara dhidi ya uovu katika kipindi hiki kiovu. Baada ya kumaliza kila kitu, mtasimama imara.
14 Stand therefore, and your loynes girded about with veritie, and hauing on the brest plate of righteousnesse,
Hatimaye simameni imara. Fanyeni hivi baada ya kuwa mmefunga mkanda katika kweli na haki kifuani.
15 And your feete shod with the preparation of the Gospel of peace.
Fanyini hivi mkiwa mmevaa utayari miguuni mwenu wa kutangaza injili ya amani.
16 Aboue all, take the shielde of faith, wherewith ye may quench all the fierie dartes of the wicked,
Katika kila hali mkichukua ngao ya imani, ambayo itakuwezesha kuizima mishale ya yule mwovu.
17 And take the helmet of saluation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the worde of God.
Vaeni kofia ya wokovu na upanga wa Roho, ambayo ni neno la Mungu.
18 And pray alwayes with all maner prayer and supplication in the Spirit: and watch thereunto with all perseuerance and supplication for al Saints,
pamoja na maombi na dua. Ombeni kwa Roho kila wakati. Kwa mtazamo huu iweni waangalifu kila wakati kwa uvumilivu wote na maombi kwa ajili ya waamini wote.
19 And for me, that vtterance may be giuen vnto me, that I may open my mouth boldly to publish the secret of the Gospel,
Ombeni kwa ajili yangu, ili nipewe ujumbe ninapofungua mdomo wangu. Ombeni kwamba nieleweshe kwa ujasiri kweli iliyofichika ihusuyo injili.
20 Whereof I am the ambassadour in bonds, that therein I may speake boldely, as I ought to speake.
Ni kwa ajili ya injili mimi ni balozi niliyefungwa minyororo, ili kwamba ndani mwao niseme kwa ujasiri kama ninavyowiwa kusema.
21 But that ye may also know mine affaires, and what I doe, Tychicus my deare brother and faithfull minister in the Lord, shall shewe you of all things,
Lakini ninyi pia mjue mambo yangu na jinsi ninavyoendelea, Tikiko ndugu yangu kipenzi na mtumishi mwaminifu katika Bwana, atawajulisha kila kitu.
22 Whom I haue sent vnto you for the same purpose, that ye might knowe mine affaires, and that he might comfort your hearts.
Nimemtuma kwenu kwa kusudi hili maalumu, ili kwamba mjue mambo kuhusu sisi, aweze kuwafariji mioyo yenu.
23 Peace be with the brethren, and loue with faith from God the Father, and from the Lord Iesus Christ.
Amani na iwe kwa ndugu, na upendo pamoja na imani kutoka kwa Mungu baba na Bwana Yesu Kristo.
24 Grace be with all them which loue our Lord Iesus Christ, to their immortalitie, Amen. ‘Written from Rome vnto the Ephesians, and sent by Tychicus.’
Neema na iwe pamoja na wote wanampenda Bwana Yesu Kristo kwa pendo lile lisilo kufa.
