Ephesians 5
1 Bee yee therefore followers of God, as deare children,
௧எனவே, நீங்கள் பிரியமான பிள்ளைகளைப்போல தேவனைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவர்களாக இருந்து,
2 And walke in loue, euen as Christ hath loued vs, and hath giuen himselfe for vs, to be an offering and a sacrifice of a sweete smellling sauour to God.
௨கிறிஸ்து நமக்காகத் தம்மை தேவனுக்கு இனிய வாசனையான காணிக்கையாகவும் பலியாகவும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்து நம்மில் அன்புவைத்ததுபோல, நீங்களும் அன்பாக நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.
3 But fornication, and all vncleannesse, or couetousnesse, let it not be once named among you, as it becommeth Saintes,
௩மேலும், பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்குத் தகுந்தபடி, வேசித்தனமும், மற்ற எந்த ஒரு அசுத்தமும், பொருளாசையும் ஆகிய இவைகளின் பெயர்கள்கூட உங்களுக்குள்ளே சொல்லப்படக்கூடாது.
4 Neither filthinesse, neither foolish talking, neither iesting, which are things not comely, but rather giuing of thankes.
௪அப்படியே நிந்தனையும், புத்தியில்லாத பேச்சும், பரிகாசம் செய்வதும் தவறானவைகள்; ஸ்தோத்திரம் செய்வதே நல்லது.
5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, neither vncleane person, nor couetous person, which is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdome of Christ, and of God.
௫விபசாரக்காரனாவது, அசுத்தனாவது, விக்கிரக ஆராதனைக்காரனாகிய பொருளாசைக்காரனாவது தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யமாகிய கிறிஸ்துவின் ராஜ்யத்திலே இடம் பெறுவதில்லையென்று அறிந்திருக்கிறீர்களே.
6 Let no man deceiue you with vaine wordes: for, for such thinges commeth the wrath of God vpon the children of disobedience.
௬இப்படிப்பட்டவைகளினால் கீழ்ப்படியாத பிள்ளைகள்மேல் தேவனுடைய கோபம் வருவதால், யாரும் வீண்வார்த்தைகளினாலே உங்களை ஏமாற்றாதபடி நீங்கள் எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள்;
7 Be not therefore companions with them.
௭அப்படிப்பட்டவர்களோடு சேராமல் இருங்கள்.
8 For ye were once darkenesse, but are nowe light in the Lord: walke as children of light,
௮முற்காலத்தில் நீங்கள் இருளாக இருந்தீர்கள், இப்பொழுதோ கர்த்தருக்குள் வெளிச்சமாக இருக்கிறீர்கள்; வெளிச்சத்தின் பிள்ளைகளாக நடந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in al goodnes, and righteousnes, and trueth)
௯வெளிச்சத்தின் கனி, எல்லா நற்குணத்திலும் நீதியிலும் உண்மையிலும் தெரியும்.
10 Approuing that which is pleasing to the Lord.
௧0கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியமானது என்னவென்று நீங்கள் சோதித்துப்பாருங்கள்.
11 And haue no fellowship with ye vnfruitfull works of darknes, but euen reproue them rather.
௧௧கனி இல்லாத இருளின் செயல்களுக்கு உடன்படாமல், அவைகள் தவறானவைகள் என்று சுட்டிக்காட்டுங்கள்.
12 For it is shame euen to speake of the things which are done of them in secret.
௧௨அவர்கள் மறைவான இடத்தில் செய்யும் செயல்களைச் சொல்லுகிறதும் வெட்கமாக இருக்கிறதே.
13 But all thinges when they are reproued of the light, are manifest: for it is light that maketh all things manifest.
௧௩அவைகள் எல்லாம் வெளிச்சத்தினால் வெளியாக்கப்படும்; வெளியாக்கப்படுவது எல்லாம் வெளிச்சமாக இருக்கிறது.
14 Wherefore hee sayeth, Awake thou that sleepest, and stande vp from the deade, and Christ shall giue thee light.
௧௪எனவே, தூங்குகிற நீ விழித்து, மரித்தோரைவிட்டு எழுந்திரு, அப்பொழுது கிறிஸ்து உன்னைப் பிரகாசிக்கப்பண்ணுவார் என்று சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்.
15 Take heede therefore that yee walke circumspectly, not as fooles, but as wise,
௧௫எனவே, நீங்கள் ஞானம் இல்லாதவர்களைப்போல நடக்காமல், ஞானம் உள்ளவர்களைப்போலக் கவனமாக நடந்துகொண்டு,
16 Redeeming ye season: for ye daies are euill.
௧௬நாட்கள் பொல்லாதவைகளாக இருப்பதால் காலத்தைச் சரியாகப் பயன்படுத்திக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.
17 Wherefore, be ye not vnwise, but vnderstand what the will of the Lord is.
௧௭எனவே, நீங்கள் அறிவில்லாதவர்களாக இல்லாமல், கர்த்தருடைய விருப்பம் என்னவென்று உணர்ந்துகொள்ளுங்கள்.
18 And be not drunke with wine, wherein is excesse: but be fulfilled with the Spirit,
௧௮பொல்லாதவழிக்கு உன்னைக் கொண்டுச்செல்லும் மதுபானத்தை நீ குடித்து வெறிகொள்ளாமல், பரிசுத்த ஆவியானவரால் நிறைந்து;
19 Speaking vnto your selues in psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songs, singing, and making melodie to the Lord in your hearts,
௧௯சங்கீதங்களினாலும் கீர்த்தனைகளினாலும் ஞானப்பாட்டுகளினாலும் ஒருவருக்கொருவர் புத்திசொல்லிக்கொண்டு, உங்களுடைய இருதயத்தில் கர்த்த்தரைப் பாடிக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணி,
20 Giuing thankes alwaies for all thinges vnto God euen the Father, in the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ,
௨0நம்முடைய கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவின் நாமத்தினாலே எப்பொழுதும் எல்லாவற்றிற்காகவும் பிதாவாகிய தேவனை ஸ்தோத்திரித்து,
21 Submitting your selues one to another in the feare of God.
௨௧தெய்வபயத்தோடு ஒருவருக்கொருவர் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருங்கள்.
22 Wiues, submit your selues vnto your husbands, as vnto the Lord.
௨௨மனைவிகளே, கர்த்தருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறதுபோல, உங்களுடைய சொந்தக் கணவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படியுங்கள்.
23 For the husband is the wiues head, euen as Christ is the head of the Church, and the same is the sauiour of his body.
௨௩கிறிஸ்து சபைக்குத் தலையாக இருக்கிறதுபோல, கணவனும் மனைவிக்குத் தலையாக இருக்கிறான்; கிறிஸ்துவே சரீரத்திற்கும் இரட்சகராக இருக்கிறார்.
24 Therfore as the Church is in subiection to Christ, euen so let the wiues be to their husbands in euery thing.
௨௪எனவே, சபையானது கிறிஸ்துவிற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிகிறதுபோல மனைவிகளும் தங்களுடைய சொந்தக் கணவர்களுக்கு எல்லாக் காரியங்களிலும் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருக்கவேண்டும்.
25 Husbands, loue your wiues, euen as Christ loued the Church, and gaue himselfe for it,
௨௫கணவர்களே, உங்களுடைய மனைவிகளிடம் அன்பாக இருங்கள்; அப்படியே கிறிஸ்துவும் சபையின்மேல் அன்பாக இருந்து,
26 That hee might sanctifie it, and clense it by the washing of water through the worde,
௨௬தாம் அதைத் திருவசனத்தைக் கொண்டு தண்ணீர் முழுக்கினால் சுத்தப்படுத்தி, பரிசுத்தமாக்குகிறதற்கும்,
27 That hee might make it vnto him selfe a glorious Church, not hauing spot or wrinkle, or any such thing: but that it shoulde bee holy and without blame.
௨௭கறையேதும்இல்லாமல் பரிசுத்தமும் பிழை இல்லாததுமான மகிமையுள்ள சபையாக அதைத் தமக்குமுன் நிறுத்திக்கொள்வதற்கும் தம்மைத்தாமே அதற்காக ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.
28 So ought men to loue their wiues, as their owne bodies: he that loueth his wife, loueth him selfe.
௨௮அப்படியே, கணவர்களும் தங்களுடைய மனைவிகளைத் தங்களுடைய சொந்த சரீரங்களாக நினைத்து, அவர்கள்மேல் அன்பாக இருக்கவேண்டும்; தன் மனைவியிடம் அன்பாக இருக்கிறவன் தன்னைத்தானே நேசிக்கிறான்.
29 For no man euer yet hated his owne flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, euen as the Lord doeth the Church.
௨௯தன் சொந்த சரீரத்தைப் பகைத்தவன் ஒருவனும் இல்லையே; கர்த்தர் சபையைப் பேணிக்காப்பாற்றுகிறதுபோல ஒவ்வொருவனும் தன் சரீரத்தைப் பேணிக்காப்பாற்றுகிறான்.
30 For we are members of his bodie, of his flesh, and of his bones.
௩0நாம் அவருடைய சரீரத்தின் பாகங்களாகவும், அவருடைய சரீரத்திற்கும் அவருடைய எலும்புகளுக்கும் உரியவர்களாகவும் இருக்கிறோம்.
31 For this cause shall a man leaue father and mother, and shall cleaue to his wife, and they twaine shalbe one flesh.
௩௧இதனால் மனிதன் தன் தகப்பனையும் தன் தாயையும்விட்டு, தன் மனைவியுடன் இணைந்து, இருவரும் ஒரே சரீரமாக இருப்பார்கள்.
32 This is a great secrete, but I speake concerning Christ, and concerning the Church.
௩௨இந்த இரகசியம் பெரியது; நான் கிறிஸ்துவைப்பற்றியும் சபையைப்பற்றியும் சொல்லுகிறேன்.
33 Therefore euery one of you, doe ye so: let euery one loue his wife, euen as himselfe, and let the wife see that shee feare her husband.
௩௩எப்படியும், உங்கள்மேல் நீங்கள் அன்பாக இருப்பதுபோல, உங்களுடைய மனைவிகளிடமும் அன்பாக இருக்கவேண்டும்; மனைவியும் கணவனிடத்தில் பயபக்தியாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.
