Ephesians 5
1 Bee yee therefore followers of God, as deare children,
Kanaaf akkuma ijoollee jaallatamootti fakkeenya Waaqaa duukaa buʼaa;
2 And walke in loue, euen as Christ hath loued vs, and hath giuen himselfe for vs, to be an offering and a sacrifice of a sweete smellling sauour to God.
akkuma Kiristoos nu jaallatee nuufis jedhee akka aarsaa fi qalma urgaaʼuutti Waaqaaf of kenne sana isinis jaalalaan deddeebiʼaa.
3 But fornication, and all vncleannesse, or couetousnesse, let it not be once named among you, as it becommeth Saintes,
Garuu waaʼeen halalummaa yookaan xuraaʼummaa gosa kamii iyyuu yookaan waaʼeen doqnummaa gidduu keessanitti hin dhagaʼamin; wanni akkasii qulqulloota Waaqaa biratti hin barbaachisuutii.
4 Neither filthinesse, neither foolish talking, neither iesting, which are things not comely, but rather giuing of thankes.
Galateeffachuu malee haasaan qaanii yookaan dubbiin gowwummaa kan faayidaa hin qabne yookaan qoosaan namatti hin tolle isin gidduu hin jiraatin.
5 For this ye know, that no whoremonger, neither vncleane person, nor couetous person, which is an idolater, hath any inheritance in the kingdome of Christ, and of God.
Halaleen yookaan xuraaʼaan yookaan sassattuun jechuunis kan Waaqa tolfamaa waaqeffatu mootummaa Kiristoosii fi kan Waaqaa keessaa akka dhaala tokko illee hin qabne beekaa.
6 Let no man deceiue you with vaine wordes: for, for such thinges commeth the wrath of God vpon the children of disobedience.
Namni tokko iyyuu dubbii faayidaa hin qabneen isin hin gowwoomsin; sababii waan akkanaatiif dheekkamsi Waaqaa warra hin ajajamnetti ni dhufaatii.
7 Be not therefore companions with them.
Kanaafuu isin waan isaan hojjetan keessatti hin hirmaatinaa.
8 For ye were once darkenesse, but are nowe light in the Lord: walke as children of light,
Isin dur dukkana turtaniitii; amma garuu Gooftaadhaan ifa taataniirtu. Akka ijoollee ifaatti jiraadhaa;
9 (For the fruit of the Spirit is in al goodnes, and righteousnes, and trueth)
iji ifaa gaarummaa, qajeelummaa fi dhugaa hunda keessatti argamaatii;
10 Approuing that which is pleasing to the Lord.
waan Gooftaa gammachiisu qoradhaa bira gaʼaa.
11 And haue no fellowship with ye vnfruitfull works of darknes, but euen reproue them rather.
Hojii dukkanaa kan ija hin qabne saaxilaa malee irratti hin hirmaatinaa.
12 For it is shame euen to speake of the things which are done of them in secret.
Waan isaan icciitiin hojjetan dubbachuun iyyuu qaaniidhaatii.
13 But all thinges when they are reproued of the light, are manifest: for it is light that maketh all things manifest.
Wanni ifni sun saaxilu hundinuu garuu ni mulʼata;
14 Wherefore hee sayeth, Awake thou that sleepest, and stande vp from the deade, and Christ shall giue thee light.
kanaafis, “Ati yaa isa raftu, dammaqi; warra duʼan keessaas kaʼi; Kiristoos siif ibsaatii” jedhameera.
15 Take heede therefore that yee walke circumspectly, not as fooles, but as wise,
Egaa isin akkamitti akka jiraattan jabeessaa of eeggadhaa! Akka ogeeyyiitti jiraadhaa malee akka warra ogeeyyii hin taʼiniitti hin jiraatinaa;
16 Redeeming ye season: for ye daies are euill.
waan guyyoonni kunneen hamoo taʼaniif baricha furaa.
17 Wherefore, be ye not vnwise, but vnderstand what the will of the Lord is.
Kanaafuu fedhiin Gooftaa maal akka taʼe hubadhaa malee gowwaa hin taʼinaa.
18 And be not drunke with wine, wherein is excesse: but be fulfilled with the Spirit,
Daadhii wayiniitiin hin machaaʼinaa; kun jireenya gad dhiisiitti geessaatii. Qooda kanaa Hafuuraan guutamaa;
19 Speaking vnto your selues in psalmes, and hymnes, and spirituall songs, singing, and making melodie to the Lord in your hearts,
faarfannaadhaan, weedduu galataatii fi faarfannaa Hafuuraatiin wal jalaa qabaa. Garaa keessan keessatti Gooftaaf faarfadhaatii muuziiqaa dhageessisaa;
20 Giuing thankes alwaies for all thinges vnto God euen the Father, in the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ,
yeroo hundas waan hundaaf maqaa Gooftaa keenya Yesuus Kiristoosiin Waaqa Abbaa galateeffadhaa.
21 Submitting your selues one to another in the feare of God.
Sodaa Kiristoosiif qabdaniin waliif ajajamaa.
22 Wiues, submit your selues vnto your husbands, as vnto the Lord.
Yaa niitota, akkuma Gooftaaf ajajamtanitti dhirsoota keessaniif ajajamaa.
23 For the husband is the wiues head, euen as Christ is the head of the Church, and the same is the sauiour of his body.
Akkuma Kiristoos waldaa kiristaanaatiif mataa taʼe sana dhirsi niitiif mataadhaatii; Kiristoos Fayyisaa waldaa kiristaanaa ti; waldaan kiristaanaa immoo dhagna isaa ti.
24 Therfore as the Church is in subiection to Christ, euen so let the wiues be to their husbands in euery thing.
Egaa akkuma waldaan kiristaanaa Kiristoosiif ajajamtu, niitonnis waan hundaan dhirsoota isaaniitiif haa ajajaman.
25 Husbands, loue your wiues, euen as Christ loued the Church, and gaue himselfe for it,
Yaa dhirsoota, akkuma Kiristoos waldaa kiristaanaa jaallatee isheef of kenne sana isinis niitota keessan jaalladhaa;
26 That hee might sanctifie it, and clense it by the washing of water through the worde,
innis karaa dubbii isaatiin bishaaniin ishee dhiqee qulleessee akka isheen qulqulluu taatuuf,
27 That hee might make it vnto him selfe a glorious Church, not hauing spot or wrinkle, or any such thing: but that it shoulde bee holy and without blame.
waldaa kiristaanaa ulfina qabeettii, mudaa yookaan suntuura yookaan waan akkanaa tokko illee hin qabnee garuu qulqullooftuu mudaa hin qabne godhee ofitti ishee dhiʼeessuuf waan kana godhe.
28 So ought men to loue their wiues, as their owne bodies: he that loueth his wife, loueth him selfe.
Akkasuma immoo dhirsoonni niitota isaanii akkuma dhagna ofii isaaniitti jaallachuu qabu. Namni niitii ofii jaallatu of jaallata.
29 For no man euer yet hated his owne flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth it, euen as the Lord doeth the Church.
Akkuma Kiristoos waldaa kiristaanaatiif godhu sana namni kam iyyuu foon ofii ni soora; ni kunuunsas malee foon ofii hin jibbu;
30 For we are members of his bodie, of his flesh, and of his bones.
nu kutaalee dhagna isaatii.
31 For this cause shall a man leaue father and mother, and shall cleaue to his wife, and they twaine shalbe one flesh.
“Sababii kanaaf namni abbaa fi haadha isaa dhiisee niitii isaatti ni maxxana; lamaan isaanii iyyuu foon tokko ni taʼu.”
32 This is a great secrete, but I speake concerning Christ, and concerning the Church.
Kun icciitii guddaa dha; ani garuu waaʼee Kiristoosii fi waaʼee waldaa kiristaanaa dubbadha.
33 Therefore euery one of you, doe ye so: let euery one loue his wife, euen as himselfe, and let the wife see that shee feare her husband.
Taʼus isin keessaa tokkoon tokkoon namaa akkuma of jaallatutti niitii ofii haa jaallatu; niitiinis dhirsa ofii haa kabajju.
