Ephesians 2
1 And you hath he quickened, that were dead in trespasses and sinnes,
Y él les dio vida, cuando estaban muertos por sus maldades y pecados,
2 Wherein, in times past ye walked, according to the course of this world, and after the prince that ruleth in the aire, euen the spirite, that nowe worketh in the children of disobedience, (aiōn g165)
En el que vivían en el pasado, siguiendo los caminos de este mundo presente, haciendo placer del espíritu que domina el aire, el espíritu que ahora opera en aquellos que van en contra del propósito de Dios; (aiōn g165)
3 Among whom we also had our conuersation in time past, in the lustes of our flesh, in fulfilling the will of the flesh, and of the minde, and were by nature the children of wrath, as well as others.
Entre los que todos vivimos una vez en los placeres de nuestra carne, cediendo el paso a los deseos de la carne y de la mente, y éramos hijos de ira por naturaleza, y el castigo de Dios nos estaba esperando así como al resto.
4 But God which is rich in mercie, through his great loue wherewith he loued vs,
Pero Dios, lleno de misericordia, por el gran amor que tuvo por nosotros,
5 Euen when we were dead by sinnes, hath quickened vs together in Christ, by whose grace ye are saued,
Aun cuando estábamos muertos por nuestros pecados, nos dio vida juntamente con Cristo (por gracia tienes salvación),
6 And hath raysed vs vp together, and made vs sit together in the heauenly places in Christ Iesus,
Entonces resucitamos juntamente con él, y así mismo nos hizo sentar en lugares celestiales, con Cristo Jesús;
7 That he might shewe in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace, through his kindnesse toward vs in Christ Iesus. (aiōn g165)
Para que en el tiempo venidero pueda mostrar todas las riquezas de su gracia en su misericordia para con nosotros en Cristo Jesús: (aiōn g165)
8 For by grace are ye saued through faith, and that not of your selues: it is the gift of God,
Porque por gracia son salvos por medio de la fe; y eso no de ustedes mismos: es don de Dios;
9 Not of workes, least any man should boast himselfe.
No por obras, para que ninguno se gloríe a sí mismo.
10 For we are his workemanship created in Christ Iesus vnto good workes, which God hath ordeined, that we should walke in them.
Dios nos dio existencia, creados en Cristo Jesús para hacer las buenas obras, que Dios preparó de antemano para que nosotros anduviésemos en ellas.
11 Wherefore remember that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, and called vncircumcision of them, which are called circumcision in the flesh, made with hands,
Por esta razón, tengan en cuenta que en el pasado ustedes, los gentiles en la carne, que son vistos como estando fuera de la circuncisión por aquellos que tienen la circuncisión, hecha por manos en la carne;
12 That ye were, I say, at that time without Christ, and were alients from the common wealth of Israel, and were strangers from the couenants of promise, and had no hope, and were without God in the world.
Que estaban en ese momento sin Cristo, siendo separados de cualquier parte en los derechos de Israel como nación, sin tener parte en los pactos de Dios, sin tener esperanza, y sin Dios en el mundo.
13 But nowe in Christ Iesus, ye which once were farre off, are made neere by the blood of Christ.
Pero ahora, en Cristo Jesús, ustedes que una vez estuvieron lejos, están cerca en la sangre de Cristo.
14 For he is our peace, which hath made of both one, and hath broken the stoppe of the partition wall,
Porque él es nuestra paz, que de ambos pueblos hizo uno, y por los cuales se rompió el muro de enemistad que los dividía,
15 In abrogating through his flesh the hatred, that is, the Lawe of commandements which standeth in ordinances, for to make of twaine one newe man in himselfe, so making peace,
Que en su carne puso fin a lo que hizo la división entre nosotros, la ley con su reglas y órdenes, para que él pueda hacer en sí mismo, de los dos, un nuevo hombre, haciendo la paz;
16 And that he might reconcile both vnto God in one body by his crosse, and slay hatred thereby,
Y que los dos lleguen a un acuerdo con Dios en un solo cuerpo a través de la cruz, así pongan fin a esa división.
17 And came, and preached peace to you which were afarre off, and to them that were neere.
Y él vino predicando la paz a los que estaban lejos, y a los que estaban cerca;
18 For through him we both haue an entrance vnto the Father by one Spirit.
Porque a través de él, los dos podemos acercarnos en un solo Espíritu al Padre.
19 Nowe therefore ye are no more strangers and forreiners: but citizens with the Saintes, and of the houshold of God,
Entonces ya no son extranjeros como los que no tienen parte ni lugar en el reino de Dios, sino que están contados entre los santos y de la familia de Dios,
20 And are built vpon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Iesus Christ himselfe being the chiefe corner stone,
Edificados sobre la base de los apóstoles y profetas, el propio Cristo Jesús siendo la principal piedra angular,
21 In whom all the building coupled together, groweth vnto an holy Temple in the Lord.
En quien todo el edificio, correctamente unido, viene a ser una santa casa de Dios en el Señor;
22 In whom ye also are built together to be the habitation of God by the Spirit.
En quien ustedes también, unidos a Cristo, con el resto, están unidos como un templo en el cual Dios vive por medio de su Espíritu.
