Ephesians 2
1 And you hath he quickened, that were dead in trespasses and sinnes,
Kay mga patay kamo sa inyong mga kalapasan ug mga sala
2 Wherein, in times past ye walked, according to the course of this world, and after the prince that ruleth in the aire, euen the spirite, that nowe worketh in the children of disobedience, (aiōn g165)
nga diin nagkinabuhi kamo niadto, nga gasunod sa mga prinsipyo niining kalibutan, sumala sa nagmando sa mga adunay gahum sa kahanginan, sa espiritu nga naglihok sa mga anak nga masinupakon. (aiōn g165)
3 Among whom we also had our conuersation in time past, in the lustes of our flesh, in fulfilling the will of the flesh, and of the minde, and were by nature the children of wrath, as well as others.
Kaniadto kitang tanan kauban niadtong dili mga tumutuo ug gihimo nato ang dautan nga pangandoy sa atong mga lawas, nga gihimo ang kabubut-on sa lawas ug sa hunahuna, ug daan na sa atong kinaiya nga mga anak kita sa kapungot sama sa uban.
4 But God which is rich in mercie, through his great loue wherewith he loued vs,
Apan kay dato sa kaluoy ang Dios nga tungod sa kadako sa iyang gugma nga diin gihigugma kita niya,
5 Euen when we were dead by sinnes, hath quickened vs together in Christ, by whose grace ye are saued,
kaniadto nga kita patay pa sa kalapasan, gidala kita niya sa bag-ong kinabuhi uban kang
6 And hath raysed vs vp together, and made vs sit together in the heauenly places in Christ Iesus,
Cristo—pinaagi sa grasya naluwas kamo—ug gibanhaw kita niya ug gipalingkod sad kita niya sa kalangitan kauban ni Cristo Jesus.
7 That he might shewe in the ages to come the exceeding riches of his grace, through his kindnesse toward vs in Christ Iesus. (aiōn g165)
Gihimo niya kini aron nga sa umaabot nga panahon iya gyud nga ipakita kanato kung unsa kadako ang bahandi sa iyang grasya tungod sa iyang kaluoy diha kang Cristo Jesus. (aiōn g165)
8 For by grace are ye saued through faith, and that not of your selues: it is the gift of God,
Kay tungod sa grasya naluwas kamo pinaagi sa pagtuo. Ug kini dili gikan kanato; kondili gasa gikan sa Dios,
9 Not of workes, least any man should boast himselfe.
dili sa atong mga binuhatan aron walay bisan usa nga makapanghambog.
10 For we are his workemanship created in Christ Iesus vnto good workes, which God hath ordeined, that we should walke in them.
Kay kita mga binuhat sa Dios, gilalang diha kang Cristo Jesus sa pagbuhat ug mga maayong buluhaton nga dugay na kaayong plano sa Dios nga atong sundon.
11 Wherefore remember that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, and called vncircumcision of them, which are called circumcision in the flesh, made with hands,
Busa hinumdumi ninyo nga kaniadto mga Gentil kamo sa unod, nga gitawag “nga mga paganong dili tuli” adtong mga gitawag nga tuli sa mga unod nga binuhatan lang sa mga tawo.
12 That ye were, I say, at that time without Christ, and were alients from the common wealth of Israel, and were strangers from the couenants of promise, and had no hope, and were without God in the world.
Kay niadtong panahuna nabulag kamo kang Cristo, nga nabulag sa katawhan sa Israel, ug mga estranghero mahitungod sa mga kasabutan sa saad, nga walay kasiguraduhan sa kaugmaon, ug walay Dios niining kalibutan.
13 But nowe in Christ Iesus, ye which once were farre off, are made neere by the blood of Christ.
Apan karon tungod kang Cristo Jesus kamo nga kaniadto layo sa Dios naduol na sa Dios pinaagi sa dugo ni Cristo.
14 For he is our peace, which hath made of both one, and hath broken the stoppe of the partition wall,
Kay siya ang atong kalinaw tungod kay gihimo niya ang mga Judio ug Gentil nga usa na ka katawhan. Ug sa iyang lawas giguba niya ang paril sa kasuko nga nagbulag kanato sa usa'g usa.
15 In abrogating through his flesh the hatred, that is, the Lawe of commandements which standeth in ordinances, for to make of twaine one newe man in himselfe, so making peace,
Diin nga, gitangtang niya ang balaod sa mga sugo ug mga kalagdaan aron mahimo niya ang bag-ong katawhan gikan sa duha ka katawhan, sa ingon nga adunay pakigdait.
16 And that he might reconcile both vnto God in one body by his crosse, and slay hatred thereby,
Gihimo kini niya aron mahiusa ang duha ka katawhan ingon nga usa ka lawas sa Dios pinaagi sa krus, nga undangon ang ilang kasuko sa usa'g usa.
17 And came, and preached peace to you which were afarre off, and to them that were neere.
Mianhi si Jesus ug gisangyaw ang maayong balita ug ang iyang kalinaw sa mga tua sa layo ug kalinaw sa mga duol kaniya.
18 For through him we both haue an entrance vnto the Father by one Spirit.
Kay tungod kang Jesus makaduol kitang duha ka katawhan pinaagi sa usa ka Espiritu didto sa Amahan.
19 Nowe therefore ye are no more strangers and forreiners: but citizens with the Saintes, and of the houshold of God,
Mao nga karon kamo nga mga Gentil dili na kamo mga estranghero ug mga langyaw, tungod kay kamo mga isig kalungsod sa mga gigahin alang sa Dios, nga sakop sa pamilya sa Dios.
20 And are built vpon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Iesus Christ himselfe being the chiefe corner stone,
Kay kini sila gitukod sa pundasyon sa mga apostoles ug mga propeta, si Cristo mismo ang bato nga tugkaranan.
21 In whom all the building coupled together, groweth vnto an holy Temple in the Lord.
Pinaagi sa gahum ni Jesus ang tibuok tinukod sa iyang pamilya tingob nga mahaum ug magkadaghan ingon nga templo nga gigahin alang sa Ginoo,
22 In whom ye also are built together to be the habitation of God by the Spirit.
nga diin tingob nga gitukod sad kamo nga mahimong puloy-anan sa Dios pinaagi sa Espiritu.
