Deuteronomy 7
1 When the Lord thy God shall bring thee into the land whither thou goest to possesse it, and shall roote out many nations before thee: the Hittites, and the Girgashites, and the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Perizzites, and the Hiuites, and the Iebusites, seuen nations greater and mightier then thou,
Кад те Господ Бог твој уведе у земљу у коју идеш да је наследиш, и отера испред тебе народе многе, Хетеје и Гергесеје и Амореје и Хананеје и Ферезеје и Јевеје и Јевусеје, седам народа већих и јачих од тебе,
2 And the Lord thy God shall giue them before thee, then thou shalt smite them: thou shalt vtterly destroy them: thou shalt make no couenant with them, nor haue compassion on them,
И преда их Господ Бог твој теби, и ти их разбијеш, потри их, не хватај с њима вере, нити се смилуј на њих;
3 Neither shalt thou make marriages with them, neither giue thy daughter vnto his sonne, nor take his daughter vnto thy sonne.
Нити се пријатељи с њима; кћери своје не дај за сина њиховог, нити кћери њихове узимај за сина свог.
4 For they wil cause thy sonne to turne away from me, and to serue other gods: then will the wrath of the Lord waxe hote against you and destroy thee suddenly.
Јер би отпадила сина твог од мене, и служио би боговима другим, те би се разгневио Господ на вас и потро вас брзо.
5 But thus ye shall deale with them, Ye shall ouerthrowe their altars, and breake downe their pillars, and ye shall cut downe their groues, and burne their grauen images with fire.
Него им ово учините: олтаре њихове раскопајте, и ликове њихове поломите, лугове њихове исеците, и резане богове њихове огњем спалите.
6 For thou art an holy people vnto the Lord thy God, the Lord thy God hath chosen thee, to be a precious people vnto himselfe, aboue all people that are vpon the earth.
Јер си ти народ свет Господу Богу свом, тебе је изабрао Господ Бог твој да му будеш народ особит мимо све народе на земљи.
7 The Lord did not set his loue vpon you, nor chose you, because ye were more in number then any people: for ye were the fewest of all people:
Не зато што би вас било више него других народа прихвати вас Господ и изабра вас; јер вас беше мање него иког другог народа;
8 But because the Lord loued you, and because hee would keepe the othe which hee had sworne vnto your fathers, the Lord hath brought you out by a mightie hand, and deliuered you out of the house of bondage from the hand of Pharaoh King of Egypt,
Него што вас Господ милује и што држи заклетву којом се заклео оцима вашим, зато вас је Господ извео руком крепком и избавио вас из куће ропске, из руке Фараона, цара мисирског.
9 That thou mayest knowe, that the Lord thy God, he is God, the faithfull God which keepeth couenant and mercie vnto them that loue him and keepe his commandements, euen to a thousand generations,
И тако знај да је Господ Бог твој Бог, Бог веран, који држи завет свој и милост своју до хиљаду кољена онима који Га љубе и држе заповести Његове,
10 And rewardeth them to their face that hate him, to bring them to destruction: he wil not deferre to reward him that hateth him, to his face.
И плаћа онима који мрзе на њ, свакоме истребљујући га, и не одгађа ономе који мрзи на њ, плаћа свакоме.
11 Keepe thou therefore the commandements, and the ordinances, and the lawes, which I commaund thee this day to doe them.
Зато држи заповести и уредбе и законе, које ти данас ја заповедам, да их твориш.
12 For if ye hearken vnto these lawes, and obserue and doe them, then the Lord thy God shall keepe with thee the couenant, and the mercie which he sware vnto thy fathers.
И ако ове законе узаслушате и уздржите и устворите и Господ ће Бог држати теби завет и милост, за коју се заклео оцима твојим;
13 And he wil loue thee, and blesse thee, and multiplie thee: he will also blesse the fruite of thy wombe, and the fruite of thy land, thy corne and thy wine, and thine oyle and the increase of thy kine, and the flockes of thy sheepe in the land, which he sware vnto thy fathers to giue thee.
И миловаће те и благословиће те и умножиће те; благословиће плод утробе твоје и плод земље твоје, жито твоје и вино твоје и уље твоје, плод говеда твојих и стада оваца твојих у земљи за коју се заклео оцима твојим да ће ти је дати.
14 Thou shalt be blessed aboue all people: there shall be neither male nor female barren among you, nor among your cattell.
Бићеш благословен мимо све народе: неће бити у теби ни мушког ни женског неплодног, ни међу стоком твојом.
15 Moreouer, the Lord will take away from thee all infirmities, and will put none of the euill diseases of Egypt (which thou knowest) vpon thee, but wil send them vpon all that hate thee.
И уклониће од тебе Господ сваку болест, од љутих зала мисирских која знаш неће ниједно пустити на тебе, него ће пустити на оне који мрзе на те.
16 Thou shalt therefore consume all people which the Lord thy God shall giue thee: thine eye shall not spare them, neither shalt thou serue their gods, for that shalbe thy destruction.
И истреби све народе које ти Господ Бог твој преда, нека их не пожали око твоје, и немој служити боговима њиховим, јер би ти то била замка.
17 If thou say in thine heart, These nations are moe then I, how can I cast them out?
Ако би рекао у срцу свом: Већи су ови народи од мене, како их могу изгнати?
18 Thou shalt not feare them, but remember what the Lord thy God did vnto Pharaoh, and vnto all Egypt:
Не бој их се; памти добро шта је учинио Господ Бог твој с Фараоном и са свим Мисирцима,
19 The great tentations which thine eyes sawe, and the signes and wonders, and the mighty hand and stretched out arme, whereby the Lord thy God brought thee out: so shall the Lord thy God do vnto all ye people, whose face thou fearest.
Велика кушања, која видеше очи твоје, и знаке и чудеса и руку крепку и мишицу подигнуту, којом те изведе Господ Бог твој; онако ће учинити Господ Бог твој са свим народима од којих би се уплашио.
20 Moreouer, the Lord thy God will send hornets among them vntil they that are left, and hide themselues from thee, be destroyed.
И стршљене ће послати Господ Бог твој на њих докле не изгину који би остали и сакрили се од тебе.
21 Thou shalt not feare them: for the Lord thy God is among you, a God mightie and dreadful.
Не плаши се од њих, јер је Господ Бог твој усред тебе, Бог велики и страшни.
22 And the Lord thy God wil roote out these nations before thee by little and little: thou mayest not consume them at once, least the beasts of the fielde increase vpon thee.
Господ ће Бог твој мало по мало потрти те народе испред тебе; нећеш их моћи одједанпут истребити, да се не би умножило на тебе зверје пољско.
23 But the Lord thy God shall giue them before thee, and shall destroy them with a mightie destruction, vntill they be brought to naught.
Али ће их предати Господ Бог твој теби, и затираће их затирањем великим докле се не затру.
24 And he shall deliuer their Kings into thine hand, and thou shalt destroy their name from vnder heauen: there shall no man be able to stand before thee, vntill thou hast destroyed them.
И предаће цареве њихове у твоје руке да затреш име њихово под небом, неће се ниједан одржати пред тобом, докле их не потреш.
25 The grauen images of their gods shall ye burne with fire, and couet not the siluer and golde, that is on them, nor take it vnto thee, least thou be snared therewith: for it is an abomination before the Lord thy God.
Резане богове њихове спали огњем, немој да се полакомиш на сребро или злато што је на њима и да га узмеш, да ти не буде замка, јер је гадно пред Господом Богом твојим.
26 Bring not therefore abomination into thine house, lest, thou be accursed like it, but vtterly abhorre it, and count it most abominable: for it is accursed.
И немој да унесеш гада у дом свој, да не будеш проклет као и он, него се гади на њ и грози се од њега, јер је проклето.
