Deuteronomy 6
1 These now are the commandements, ordinances, and lawes, which the Lord your God commanded me to teach you, that ye might doe them in the land whither ye go to possesse it:
अब यर्दन पारि गई तिमीहरूले अधिकार गर्न लागेको देशमा तिमीहरूले पालन गरून् भनी परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई सिकाउन भनी मलाई दिनुभएका आदेश र विधिविधानहरू यिनै हुन् ।
2 That thou mightest feare the Lord thy God, and keepe all his ordinances, and his commandements which I commaund thee, thou, and thy sonne, and thy sonnes sonne all the dayes of thy life, euen that thy dayes may be prolonged.
तिमीहरूको आयु लामो होस् भनेर तिमीहरू, तिमीहरूका छोराछोरीहरू, तिमीहरूका नातिनातिनाहरूले जीवनभरि परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरको आदर गर्नू र उहाँका सबै विधान र आज्ञा मान्नू ।
3 Heare therefore, O Israel, and take heede to doe it, that it may go well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily in the land that floweth with milke and hony, as the Lord God of thy fathers hath promised thee.
त्यसकारण, हे इस्राएल हो, तिनलाई सुन र पालन गर ताकि परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरूका परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूलाई प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएको दूध र मह बग्ने देशमा तिमीहरूको भलो होस् र तिमीहरू गुणात्मक रूपमा वृद्धि हुन सक ।
4 Heare, O Israel, The Lord our God is Lord onely,
हे इस्राएल हो, सुनः पमरप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्वर एउटै हुनुहुन्छ ।
5 And thou shalt loue the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soule, and with all thy might.
तिमीहरूले पमरप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरलाई आफ्नो सारा ह्रदय, सारा प्राण र सारा शक्तिले प्रेम गर्नू ।
6 And these wordes which I commaund thee this day, shalbe in thine heart.
आज मैले तिमीहरूलाई आज्ञा गरेका यी वचनहरू तिमीहरूका हृदयमा राख ।
7 And thou shalt rehearse them continually vnto thy children, and shalt talke of them when thou tariest in thine house, and as thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest downe, and when thou risest vp:
अनि तिमीहरूले आफ्ना छोराछोरीहरूलाई ती मेहनतसाथ सिकाउनू । तिमीहरू आफ्ना घरमा बस्दा, बाटोमा हिँड्दा, सुत्दा र उठ्दा तिमीहरूले तिनकै चर्चा गर्नू ।
8 And thou shalt binde them for a signe vpon thine hand, and they shalbe as frontlets betweene thine eyes.
तिमीहरूले चिन्हको रूपमा तिनलाई हातमा बाँध्नू र तिमीहरूका आँखाका बिचमा तिनले पट्टको काम गरून् ।
9 Also thou shalt write them vpon ye postes of thine house, and vpon thy gates.
तिमीहरूले तिमीहरूका घरका चौकोस र ढोकाहरूमा ती लेख्नू ।
10 And when the Lord thy God hath brought thee into the land, which he sware vnto thy fathers, Abraham, Izhak, and Iaakob, to giue to thee, with great and goodly cities which thou buildedst not,
परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरले तिमीहरूका पिता-पुर्खाहरू अर्थात् अब्राहाम, इसहाक र याकूबसित तिमीहरूलाई दिन्छु भनी शपथ खानुभएको तिमीहरूले नबनाएका अनि ठुला
11 And houses full of all maner of goods which thou filledst not, and welles digged which thou diggedst not, vineyards and oliue trees which thou plantedst not, and when thou hast eaten and art full,
र ज्यादै राम्रा-राम्रा सहरहरू भएको देशमा ल्याउनुहुँदा जहाँ तिमीहरूले नबनाएका सबै किसिमका असल थोकहरूले घरहरू भरिपूर्ण हुने छन्, तिमीहरूले नखनेका इनारहरू हुने छन् र तिमीहरूले नरोपेका दाखबारी र जैतूनका रुखहरू हुने छन्, ती तिमीहरूले खाने छौ र तृप्त हुने छौ,
12 Beware least thou forget the Lord, which brought thee out of the land of Egypt, from the house of bondage.
तब तिमीहरूलाई मिश्र देश अर्थात् दासत्वको देशबाट ल्याउनुहुने परमप्रभुलाई नबिर्सन होसियार होओ ।
13 Thou shalt feare the Lord thy God, and serue him, and shalt sweare by his Name.
परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरको आदर गर्नू; उहाँको मात्र आराधना गर्नू र उहाँको नाउँमा शपथ खानू ।
14 Ye shall not walke after other gods, after any of the gods of the people which are round about you,
तिमीहरूका वरिपरि भएका जाति-जातिहरूका देवी-देवताहरूको पछि नलाग्नू,
15 (For the Lord thy God is a ielous God among you: ) least the wrath of the Lord thy God be kindled against thee, and destroy thee from the face of the earth.
किनकि तिमीहरूका बिचमा रहनुहुने परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वर डाही परमेश्वर हुनुहुन्छ । तिमीहरूले त्यसो गर्यौ भने परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरको क्रोध तिमीहरूका विरुद्धमा दन्कने छ र उहाँले तिमीहरूलाई पृथ्वीको धूलोबाट नष्ट पार्नुहुने छ ।
16 Ye shall not tempt the Lord your God, as ye did tempt him in Massah:
मस्साहमा परीक्षा गरेझैँ परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरको परीक्षा नगर्नू ।
17 But ye shall keepe diligently the commandements of the Lord your God, and his testimonies, and his ordinances which he hath commanded thee,
तिमीहरूलाई आज्ञा गर्नुभएका परमप्रभु तिमीहरूका परमेश्वरका आज्ञाहरू, उहाँका गम्भीर आदेशहरू र उहाँका विधिहरू दत्तचित्तसाथ पालन गर्नू ।
18 And thou shalt doe that which is right and good in the sight of the Lord: that thou mayest prosper, and that thou mayest go in, and possesse that good land which the Lord sware vnto thy fathers,
तिमीहरूले परमप्रभुको दृष्टिमा जे ठिक र असल छ, त्यही गर्नू ताकि तिमीहरूको भलो होस् र परमप्रभुले तिमीहरूका पुर्खाहरूसित शपथ खानुभएको देशमा गएर यसको अधिकार गर्न सक,
19 To cast out all thine enemies before thee, as the Lord hath sayd.
अनि परमप्रभुले भन्नुभएझैँ तिमीहरूले तिमीहरूका सबै शत्रुहरूलाई धपाउन सक ।
20 When thy sonne shall aske thee in time to come, saying, What meane these testimonies, and ordinances, and Lawes, which the Lord our God hath commanded you?
भावी दिनमा तिम्रो छोराले, 'परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्वरले तपाईंलाई दिनुभएका करारका आदेशहरू, विधिविधानहरू के-के हुन्?' भनी सोध्दा
21 Then shalt thou say vnto thy sonne, We were Pharaohs bondmen in Egypt: but the Lord brought vs out of Egypt with a mightie hand.
तिमीले आफ्नो छोरोलाई भन्नू, 'हामी मिश्रमा फारोका कमाराहरू थियौँ । परमप्रभुले हामीलाई शक्तिशाली हातद्वारा मिश्रबाट ल्याउनुभयो,
22 And the Lord shewed signes and wonders great and euill vpon Egypt, vpon Pharaoh, and vpon all his housholde, before our eyes,
र उहाँले हाम्रा आँखाकै सामु मिश्रमा फारो र तिनका सबै घरानामाथि महान् र डरलाग्दा चिन्हसाथै आश्चर्यहरू देखाउनुभयो ।
23 And brought vs out from thence, to bring vs in, and to giue vs the land which he sware vnto our fathers.
उहाँले हामीलाई त्यहाँबाट बाहिर ल्याउनुभयो ताकि हाम्रा पुर्खाहरूसित शपथ खानुभएको देशभित्र उहाँले हामीलाई ल्याउन सक्नुभएको होस् ।
24 Therefore the Lord hath commanded vs, to doe all these ordinances, and to feare the Lord our God, that it may goe euer well with vs, and that he may preserue vs aliue as at this present.
परमप्रभुले सधैँ यी सबै विधिविधान मान्न, हाम्रो भलाइको लागि परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्वरको भय मान्न हामीलाई आज्ञा दिनुभएको छ ताकि आजजस्तै उहाँले हामीलाई जीवित राख्नुभएको होस् ।
25 Moreouer, this shall be our righteousnes before the Lord our God, if we take heede to keepe all these commandements, as he hath commanded vs.
हामीले उहाँले हामीलाई आज्ञा गर्नुभएझैँ परमप्रभु हाम्रा परमेश्वरको सामु यी सबै आज्ञा मान्यौँ भने यो हाम्रो धार्मिकता हुने छ ।'
