Deuteronomy 34

1 Then Moses went from the plaine of Moab vp into mount Nebo vnto the top of Pisgah that is ouer against Iericho: and the Lord shewed him all the land of Gilead, vnto Dan,

Et Moïse monta des plaines de Moab au mont Nébo, sommité du Pisga, vis-à-vis de Jéricho, et l'Éternel lui fit regarder tout le pays, Galaad jusqu'à Dan,

2 And all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Iudah, vnto the vtmost sea:

et tout Nephthali, et le pays d'Ephraïm et de Manassé, et tout le pays de Juda jusqu'à la Mer occidentale

3 And the South, and the plaine of the valley of Iericho, the citie of palmetrees, vnto Zoar.

et le Midi et le District [du Jourdain], la vallée de Jéricho, ville des palmiers, jusqu'à Tsohar.

4 And the Lord said vnto him, This is the lande which I sware vnto Abraham, to Izhak and to Iaacob saying, I will giue it vnto thy seede: I haue caused thee to see it with thine eyes, but thou shalt not goe ouer thither.

Et l'Éternel lui dit: Tel est le pays que j'ai promis par serment à Abraham, à Isaac et à Jacob en disant: Je le donnerai à ta race.

5 So Moses the seruant of the Lord dyed there in the land of Moab, according to the worde of the Lord.

Je te l'ai fait regarder de tes yeux, mais tu n'y passeras point. Et ainsi mourut là Moïse, serviteur de l'Éternel, dans le pays de Moab, par l'ordre de l'Éternel.

6 And hee buried him in a valley in the land of Moab ouer against Beth-peor, but no man knoweth of his sepulchre vnto this day.

Et Il l'ensevelit dans la vallée, au pays de Moab, vis-à-vis de Beth-Pehor, et personne n'a connu son tombeau jusqu'aujourd'hui.

7 Moses was nowe an hundreth and twentie yeere olde when hee died, his eye was not dimme, nor his naturall force abated.

Or Moïse à sa mort était âgé de cent vingt ans; ses yeux ne s'étaient point éteints, et il n'avait point perdu ses forces.

8 And the children of Israel wept for Moses in the plaine of Moab thirtie dayes: so the dayes of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.

Et les enfants d'Israël pleurèrent Moïse dans les plaines de Moab pendant trente jours; et ils accomplirent le temps des pleurs et du deuil de Moïse.

9 And Ioshua the sonne of Nun was full of ye spirit of wisedome: for Moses had put his hands vpon him. And the children of Israel were obedient vnto him, and did as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Et Josué, fils de Nun, fut rempli de l'esprit de sagesse, car Moïse avait imposé ses mains sur lui et les enfants d'Israël lui obéirent et se conformèrent aux ordres que l'Éternel avait donnés à Moïse.

10 But there arose not a Prophet since in Israel like vnto Moses (whome the Lord knew face to face)

Et il ne parut plus en Israël de prophète pareil à Moïse (que l'Éternel connaissait face en face)

11 In all ye miracles and wonders which ye Lord sent him to do in ye land of Egypt before Pharaoh and before all his seruantes, and before al his land,

sous le rapport de tous les signes et miracles que l'Éternel lui avait donné la mission d'opérer dans le pays d'Egypte sur Pharaon et tous ses serviteurs et tout son pays,

12 And in all that mightie hand and all that great feare, which Moses wrought in the sight of all Israel.

et sous le rapport de toute la main puissante et de tous les actes grands et terribles que Moïse exécuta aux yeux de tout Israël.
