Deuteronomy 31
1 Then Moses went and spake these wordes vnto all Israel,
Entonces Moisés dijo todas estas cosas a todo Israel.
2 And said vnto them, I am an hundreth and twentie yeere olde this day: I can no more goe out and in: also the Lord hath saide vnto me, Thou shalt not goe ouer this Iorden.
Entonces les dijo: Ahora tengo ciento veinte años. Ya no puedo salir ni entrar; y el Señor me ha dicho: No debes cruzar el Jordán.
3 The Lord thy God he will go ouer before thee: he will destroy these nations before thee, and thou shalt possesse them. Ioshua, he shall goe before thee, as the Lord hath said.
El Señor su Dios, él pasará delante de ustedes; él enviará destrucción a todas esas naciones, y tomarán su tierra como su herencia, y Josué pasará enfrente de ustedes como su líder como el Señor lo ha dicho.
4 And the Lord shall doe vnto them, as he did to Sihon and to Og Kings of the Amorites: and vnto their lande whome he destroyed.
El Señor hará con ellos como lo hizo con Sehón y con Og, los reyes de los amorreos, y con su tierra, a quienes destruyó.
5 And the Lord shall giue them before you that ye may do vnto them according vnto euery commandement, which I haue comanded you.
El Señor los entregará en sus manos, y ustedes deben de hacer con ellos como les he ordenado.
6 Plucke vp your hearts therefore, and be strong: dread not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God him selfe doeth goe with thee: he will not faile thee, nor forsake thee.
Sean fuertes y confíen, y no teman a ellos; porque es el Señor, su Dios, el que va con ustedes; Él no los dejará ni los abandonará.
7 And Moses called Ioshua, and said vnto him in the sight of all Israel, Be of a good courage and strong: for thou shalt go with this people vnto the lande which the Lord hath sworne vnto their fathers, to giue them, and thou shalt giue it them to inherite.
Entonces Moisés mandó llamar a Josué, y ante los ojos de todo Israel le dijo: Sé fuerte y confiado; porque debes ir con este pueblo a la tierra que el Señor, por su juramento a sus padres, ha dado a ellos con tu ayuda la tomarán por su herencia.
8 And the Lord him selfe doeth go before thee: he will be with thee: he will not faile thee, neither forsake thee: feare not therefore, nor be discomforted.
Es el Señor que va delante de ti; él estará contigo, no te dejará ni te abandonará: así que no temas ni te acobardes.
9 And Moses wrote this Lawe, and deliuered it vnto the Priestes the sonnes of Leui (which bare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord) and vnto all the Elders of Israel,
Entonces Moisés puso toda esta ley por escrito, y se la dio a los sacerdotes, los hijos de Leví, que toman el cofre del pacto del Señor, y a todos los hombres responsables de Israel.
10 And Moses commanded them, saying, Euery seuenth yeere when the yeere of freedome shalbe in the feast of the Tabernacles:
Y Moisés les dijo: Al final de cada siete años, en el tiempo fijado para el fin de las deudas, en la fiesta de los tabernáculos,
11 When all Israel shall come to appeare before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall chuse, thou shalt reade this Lawe before all Israel that they may heare it.
Cuando todo Israel se haya reunido ante el Señor su Dios en el lugar nombrado por él, permite que se lea esta ley y que todo Israel escuche.
12 Gather the people together: men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may heare, and that they may learne, and feare the Lord your God, and keepe and obserue all the wordes of this Lawe,
Haga que todas las personas se junten, hombres, mujeres y niños, y cualquier persona de otro país que esté con ustedes, para que al oírlos se vuelvan sabios en el temor del Señor su Dios, y cuiden de hacer todo lo que dice esta ley;
13 And that their children which haue not knowen it, may heare it, and learne to feare the Lord your God, as long as ye liue in the lande, whither ye goe ouer Iorden to possesse it.
Y para que sus hijos, para quienes es nuevo, puedan escuchar y sean entrenados en el temor del Señor su Dios, durante toda su vida en la tierra que va a tomar por herencia al cruzar el Jordán.
14 Then the Lord saide vnto Moses, Beholde, thy dayes are come, that thou must die: Call Ioshua, and stande ye in the Tabernacle of the Congregation that I may giue him a charge. So Moses and Ioshua went, and stoode in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
En ese momento, el Señor le dijo a Moisés: Se acerca el día de tu muerte: envía a Josué y ven a la tienda de la reunión para que pueda darle sus órdenes. Entonces Moisés y Josué fueron a la tienda de reunión.
15 And the Lord appeared in the Tabernacle, in the pillar of a cloude: and the pillar of the cloude stoode ouer the doore of the Tabernacle.
Y el Señor fue visto en la Tienda en una columna de nubes que descansaba junto a la puerta de la Tienda.
16 And the Lord said vnto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleepe with thy fathers, and this people will rise vp, and goe a whoring after the gods of a strange land (whither they goe to dwell therein) and will forsake me, and breake my couenant which I haue made with them.
Y él Señor dijo a Moisés: Ahora descansarás con tus padres; y esta gente me abandonará, uniéndose a los extraños dioses de la tierra donde van y no mantendrán el pacto que he hecho con ellos.
17 Wherefore my wrath will waxe hote against them at that day, and I will forsake them, and will hide my face from them: then they shalbe consumed, and many aduersities and tribulations shall come vpon them: so then they will say, Are not these troubles come vpon me, because God is not with me?
En aquel día mi ira será movida contra ellos, y serán rechazados Por mi, ocultando mi rostro de ellos, y la destrucción los alcanzará, y sobre ellos vendrán males y problemas innumerables; de modo que en ese día dirán: ¿No nos vienen estos males porque nuestro Dios no está con nosotros?
18 But I will surely hide my face in that day, because of all the euill, which they shall commit, in that they are turned vnto other gods.
En verdad, mi rostro se apartará de ellos en ese día, debido a todo el mal que han hecho al perseguir a otros dioses.
19 Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouthes, that this song may be my witnesse against the children of Israel.
Entonces hagan esta canción, y enseñándoles a los hijos de Israel: para que lo canten, para que esta canción pueda ser un testigo para mí contra los hijos de Israel.
20 For I will bring them into the land (which I sware vnto their fathers) that floweth with milke and honie, and they shall eate, and fil them selues, and waxe fat: then shall they turne vnto other gods, and serue them, and contemne me, and breake my couenant.
Porque cuando los haya llevado a la tierra nombrada en mi juramento a sus padres, una tierra que fluye leche y miel, y se han llenado de comida y están gordos, entonces serán dirigidos a otros dioses y los darán adoración, ya no me honrarán y me despreciarán ni mantendrán mi pacto.
21 And then when many aduersities and tribulations shall come vpon them, this song shall answere them to their face as a witnesse: for it shall not be forgotte out of the mouthes of their posteritie: for I knowe their imagination, which they goe about euen now, before I haue brought them into the lande which I sware.
Luego, cuando los males y los problemas sin número los hayan superado, esta canción será un testimonio para ellos, porque las palabras de la misma quedarán claras en los recuerdos de sus hijos: porque veo los pensamientos que se mueven en sus corazones incluso ahora, antes de que los haya tomado en la tierra de mi juramento.
22 Moses therefore wrote this song the same day and taught it the children of Israel.
Ese mismo día Moisés hizo esta canción, enseñándola a los hijos de Israel.
23 And God gaue Ioshua the sonne of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong, and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the lande, which I sware vnto them, and I will be with thee.
Entonces dio órdenes a Josué, hijo de Nun, y le dijo: Sé fuerte y confiado, porque debes ir a la cabeza de los hijos de Israel a la tierra que juré darles, y yo estaré contigo.
24 And when Moses had made an ende of writing the wordes of this Lawe in a booke vntill he had finished them,
Ahora, después de escribir todas las palabras de esta ley en un libro hasta que el registro de ellas estuviera completo,
25 Then Moses commanded the Leuites, which bare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, saying,
Moisés dijo a los levitas que eran responsables de tomar el arca del pacto del Señor:
26 Take the booke of this Lawe, and put ye it in the side of the Arke of the couenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witnes against thee.
Tomen este libro de la ley y ponlo junto al cofre del pacto del Señor, para que pueda ser un testigo en tu contra.
27 For I knowe thy rebellion and thy stiffe necke: beholde, I being yet aliue with you this day, ye are rebellious against the Lord: howe much more then after my death?
Porque tengo conocimiento de tus corazones duros e incontrolados: incluso ahora, mientras todavía estoy vivo, se han rebelado contra el Señor; ¿Cuánto más aún después de mi muerte?
28 Gather vnto me all the Elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speake these wordes in their audience, and call heauen and earth to recorde against them.
Reúna ante mí a todos los que están en autoridad en sus tribus y a sus supervisores, para que pueda decirles estas cosas, y haga de los cielos y la tierra mis testigos contra ellos.
29 For I am sure that after my death ye will vtterly be corrupt and turne from the way, which I haue commanded you: therefore euill will come vpon you at the length, because ye will comit euill in the sight of the Lord, by prouoking him to anger through the worke of your hands.
Porque estoy seguro de que después de mi muerte se entregarán al pecado, y se apartarán del camino que les he dado; y el mal te alcanzará al final, porque harás el mal a los ojos del Señor, moviéndolo a la ira por la obra de tus manos.
30 Thus Moses spake in the audience of all the congregation of Israel the wordes of this song, vntill he had ended them.
Luego, en la audiencia de toda la reunión de Israel, Moisés dijo las palabras de este canto, hasta el final.
