Deuteronomy 31
1 Then Moses went and spake these wordes vnto all Israel,
Und Mose ging hin und redete diese Worte zu dem ganzen Israel.
2 And said vnto them, I am an hundreth and twentie yeere olde this day: I can no more goe out and in: also the Lord hath saide vnto me, Thou shalt not goe ouer this Iorden.
Und er sprach zu ihnen: Hundertzwanzig Jahre bin ich heute alt, ich vermag nicht mehr aus-und einzugehen; und Jehova hat zu mir gesagt: Du sollst nicht über diesen Jordan gehen.
3 The Lord thy God he will go ouer before thee: he will destroy these nations before thee, and thou shalt possesse them. Ioshua, he shall goe before thee, as the Lord hath said.
Jehova, dein Gott, er zieht hinüber vor dir her; er selbst wird diese Nationen vor dir vertilgen, daß du sie austreibest. Josua, er zieht hinüber vor dir her, wie Jehova geredet hat.
4 And the Lord shall doe vnto them, as he did to Sihon and to Og Kings of the Amorites: and vnto their lande whome he destroyed.
Und Jehova wird an ihnen tun, wie er an Sihon und an Og, den Königen der Amoriter, und an ihrem Lande getan, die er vertilgt hat.
5 And the Lord shall giue them before you that ye may do vnto them according vnto euery commandement, which I haue comanded you.
Und wenn Jehova sie vor euch dahingibt, so sollt ihr ihnen tun nach dem ganzen Gebot, das ich euch geboten habe.
6 Plucke vp your hearts therefore, and be strong: dread not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God him selfe doeth goe with thee: he will not faile thee, nor forsake thee.
Seid stark und mutig, fürchtet euch nicht und erschrecket nicht vor ihnen! Denn Jehova, dein Gott, er ist es, der mit dir geht; er wird dich nicht versäumen und dich nicht verlassen.
7 And Moses called Ioshua, and said vnto him in the sight of all Israel, Be of a good courage and strong: for thou shalt go with this people vnto the lande which the Lord hath sworne vnto their fathers, to giue them, and thou shalt giue it them to inherite.
Und Mose rief Josua und sprach zu ihm vor den Augen des ganzen Israel: Sei stark und mutig! Denn du, du wirst mit diesem Volke in das Land kommen, welches Jehova ihren Vätern geschworen hat, ihnen zu geben; und du du wirst es ihnen als Erbe austeilen.
8 And the Lord him selfe doeth go before thee: he will be with thee: he will not faile thee, neither forsake thee: feare not therefore, nor be discomforted.
Und Jehova, er ist es, der vor dir herzieht; er selbst wird mit dir sein, er wird dich nicht versäumen und dich nicht verlassen; fürchte dich nicht und erschrick nicht!
9 And Moses wrote this Lawe, and deliuered it vnto the Priestes the sonnes of Leui (which bare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord) and vnto all the Elders of Israel,
Und Mose schrieb dieses Gesetz nieder; und er gab es den Priestern, den Söhnen Levis, welche die Lade des Bundes Jehovas trugen, und allen Ältesten von Israel.
10 And Moses commanded them, saying, Euery seuenth yeere when the yeere of freedome shalbe in the feast of the Tabernacles:
Und Mose gebot ihnen und sprach: Am Ende von sieben Jahren, zur Zeit des Erlaßjahres,
11 When all Israel shall come to appeare before the Lord thy God, in the place which he shall chuse, thou shalt reade this Lawe before all Israel that they may heare it.
am Feste der Laubhütten, wenn ganz Israel kommt, um vor Jehova, deinem Gott, zu erscheinen an dem Orte, den er erwählen wird, sollst du dieses Gesetz vor dem ganzen Israel lesen, vor ihren Ohren.
12 Gather the people together: men, and women, and children, and thy stranger that is within thy gates, that they may heare, and that they may learne, and feare the Lord your God, and keepe and obserue all the wordes of this Lawe,
Versammle das Volk, die Männer und die Weiber und die Kindlein, und deinen Fremdling, der in deinen Toren ist; auf daß sie hören, und auf daß sie lernen, und Jehova, euren Gott, fürchten und darauf achten, alle Worte dieses Gesetzes zu tun.
13 And that their children which haue not knowen it, may heare it, and learne to feare the Lord your God, as long as ye liue in the lande, whither ye goe ouer Iorden to possesse it.
Und ihre Kinder, die es nicht wissen, sollen es hören, damit sie Jehova, euren Gott, fürchten lernen alle Tage, die ihr in dem Lande lebet, wohin ihr über den Jordan ziehet, um es in Besitz zu nehmen.
14 Then the Lord saide vnto Moses, Beholde, thy dayes are come, that thou must die: Call Ioshua, and stande ye in the Tabernacle of the Congregation that I may giue him a charge. So Moses and Ioshua went, and stoode in the Tabernacle of the Congregation.
Und Jehova sprach zu Mose: Siehe, deine Tage sind herangenaht, daß du sterben sollst; rufe Josua, und stellet euch in das Zelt der Zusammenkunft, daß ich ihm Befehl erteile. Und Mose und Josua gingen hin, und sie stellten sich in das Zelt der Zusammenkunft.
15 And the Lord appeared in the Tabernacle, in the pillar of a cloude: and the pillar of the cloude stoode ouer the doore of the Tabernacle.
Und Jehova erschien in dem Zelte, in der Wolkensäule; und die Wolkensäule stand über dem Eingang des Zeltes.
16 And the Lord said vnto Moses, Behold, thou shalt sleepe with thy fathers, and this people will rise vp, and goe a whoring after the gods of a strange land (whither they goe to dwell therein) and will forsake me, and breake my couenant which I haue made with them.
Und Jehova sprach zu Mose: Siehe, du wirst dich zu deinen Vätern legen; und dieses Volk wird sich aufmachen und den fremden Göttern des Landes nachhuren, in dessen Mitte es kommt; und es wird mich verlassen und meinen Bund brechen, den ich mit ihnen gemacht habe.
17 Wherefore my wrath will waxe hote against them at that day, and I will forsake them, and will hide my face from them: then they shalbe consumed, and many aduersities and tribulations shall come vpon them: so then they will say, Are not these troubles come vpon me, because God is not with me?
Und mein Zorn wird an jenem Tage wider dasselbe entbrennen, und ich werde sie verlassen und mein Angesicht vor ihnen verbergen; und es wird verzehrt werden, und viele Übel und Drangsale werden es treffen. Und es wird an jenem Tage sagen: Haben nicht darum diese Übel mich getroffen, weil mein Gott nicht in meiner Mitte ist?
18 But I will surely hide my face in that day, because of all the euill, which they shall commit, in that they are turned vnto other gods.
Ich aber, ich werde an jenem Tage mein Angesicht gänzlich verbergen um all des Bösen willen, das es getan, weil es sich zu anderen Göttern hingewandt hat.
19 Now therefore write ye this song for you, and teach it the children of Israel: put it in their mouthes, that this song may be my witnesse against the children of Israel.
Und nun, schreibet euch dieses Lied auf, und lehre es die Kinder Israel, lege es in ihren Mund, auf daß dieses Lied mir zum Zeugen sei gegen die Kinder Israel.
20 For I will bring them into the land (which I sware vnto their fathers) that floweth with milke and honie, and they shall eate, and fil them selues, and waxe fat: then shall they turne vnto other gods, and serue them, and contemne me, and breake my couenant.
Denn ich werde sie in das Land bringen, welches ich ihren Vätern zugeschworen habe, das von Milch und Honig fließt; und sie werden essen und satt und fett werden; und sie werden sich zu anderen Göttern wenden und ihnen dienen, und mich verachten und meinen Bund brechen.
21 And then when many aduersities and tribulations shall come vpon them, this song shall answere them to their face as a witnesse: for it shall not be forgotte out of the mouthes of their posteritie: for I knowe their imagination, which they goe about euen now, before I haue brought them into the lande which I sware.
Und es wird geschehen, wenn viele Übel und Drangsale sie treffen, so wird dieses Lied Zeugnis gegen sie ablegen; denn es wird nicht vergessen werden aus dem Munde ihrer Nachkommen. Denn ich kenne ihr Sinnen, womit sie schon heute umgehen, ehe ich sie in das Land bringe, von dem ich geschworen habe.
22 Moses therefore wrote this song the same day and taught it the children of Israel.
Und Mose schrieb dieses Lied an selbigem Tage auf, und er lehrte es die Kinder Israel.
23 And God gaue Ioshua the sonne of Nun a charge, and said, Be strong, and of a good courage: for thou shalt bring the children of Israel into the lande, which I sware vnto them, and I will be with thee.
Und er gebot Josua, dem Sohne Nuns, und sprach: Sei stark und mutig! Denn du, du sollst die Kinder Israel in das Land bringen, das ich ihnen zugeschworen habe; und ich will mit dir sein.
24 And when Moses had made an ende of writing the wordes of this Lawe in a booke vntill he had finished them,
Und es geschah, als Mose geendigt hatte, die Worte dieses Gesetzes in ein Buch zu schreiben bis zu ihrem Schlusse,
25 Then Moses commanded the Leuites, which bare the Arke of the couenant of the Lord, saying,
da gebot Mose den Leviten, welche die Lade des Bundes Jehovas trugen, und sprach:
26 Take the booke of this Lawe, and put ye it in the side of the Arke of the couenant of the Lord your God, that it may be there for a witnes against thee.
Nehmet dieses Buch des Gesetzes und leget es zur Seite der Lade des Bundes Jehovas, eures Gottes, daß es daselbst zum Zeugen gegen dich sei.
27 For I knowe thy rebellion and thy stiffe necke: beholde, I being yet aliue with you this day, ye are rebellious against the Lord: howe much more then after my death?
Denn ich kenne deine Widerspenstigkeit und deinen harten Nacken wohl. Siehe, während ich heute noch bei euch lebe, seid ihr widerspenstig gegen Jehova gewesen; und wieviel mehr nach meinem Tode!
28 Gather vnto me all the Elders of your tribes, and your officers, that I may speake these wordes in their audience, and call heauen and earth to recorde against them.
Versammelt zu mir alle Ältesten eurer Stämme und eure Vorsteher, daß ich diese Worte vor ihren Ohren rede und den Himmel und die Erde gegen sie zu Zeugen nehme.
29 For I am sure that after my death ye will vtterly be corrupt and turne from the way, which I haue commanded you: therefore euill will come vpon you at the length, because ye will comit euill in the sight of the Lord, by prouoking him to anger through the worke of your hands.
Denn ich weiß, daß ihr euch nach meinem Tode ganz und gar verderben und von dem Wege abweichen werdet, den ich euch geboten habe; und es wird euch das Unglück begegnen am Ende der Tage, weil ihr tun werdet, was böse ist in den Augen Jehovas, ihn zu reizen durch das Werk eurer Hände.
30 Thus Moses spake in the audience of all the congregation of Israel the wordes of this song, vntill he had ended them.
Und Mose redete vor den Ohren der ganzen Versammlung Israels die Worte dieses Liedes bis zu ihrem Schlusse:
