Deuteronomy 16

1 Thou shalt keepe the moneth of Abib, and thou shalt celebrate the Passeouer vnto the Lord thy God: for in the moneth of Abib ye Lord thy God brought thee out of Egypt by night.

Beobachte den Monat Abib, daß du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, das Passah feierst; denn im Monat Abib hat dich der HERR, dein Gott, bei Nacht aus Ägypten geführt.

2 Thou shalt therefore offer the Passeouer vnto the Lord thy God, of sheepe and bullockes in the place where the Lord shall chose to cause his Name to dwell.

Und du sollst dem HERRN, deinem Gott, als Passah Rinder und Schafe opfern an dem Ort, den der HERR erwählen wird, daß sein Name daselbst wohne.

3 Thou shalt eate no leauened bread with it: but seuen dayes shalt thou eate vnleauened bread therewith, euen the bread of tribulation: for thou camest out of the land of Egypt in haste, that thou maist remember ye day whe thou camest out of the land of Egypt, all the dayes of thy life.

Du sollst kein gesäuertes Brot an diesem Feste essen. Du sollst sieben Tage lang ungesäuertes Brot des Elends essen, denn du bist in eiliger Flucht aus Ägyptenland gezogen; darum sollst du dein Leben lang an den Tag deines Auszugs aus Ägyptenland denken!

4 And there shalbe no leauen seene with thee in all thy coastes seuen dayes long: neither shall there remaine the night any of the flesh vntil the morning which thou offeredst ye first day at euen.

Und es soll sieben Tage lang kein Sauerteig in allen deinen Landmarken gesehen werden, und soll auch nichts von dem Fleische, das am Abend des ersten Tages geschlachtet worden ist, über Nacht bleiben bis zum Morgen.

5 Thou maist not offer ye Passeouer within any of thy gates, which ye Lord thy God giueth thee:

Du darfst das Passah nicht schlachten in irgend einem deiner Tore, die der HERR, dein Gott, dir gegeben hat;

6 But in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose to place his Name, there thou shalt offer the Passeouer at euen, about the going downe of the sunne, in the season that thou camest out of Egypt.

sondern an dem Ort, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählen wird, daß sein Name daselbst wohne, daselbst sollst du das Passah schlachten am Abend, wenn die Sonne untergeht, zu eben der Zeit, als du aus Ägypten zogest.

7 And thou shalt roste and eate it in the place which the Lord thy God shall choose, and shalt returne on the morowe, and goe vnto thy tentes.

Und du sollst es braten und an dem Ort essen, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählt hat, und sollst am Morgen umkehren und wieder zu deiner Hütte gehen.

8 Six daies shalt thou eate vnleauened bread, and ye seuenth day shall be a solemne assemblie to ye Lord thy God thou shalt do no worke therein.

Sechs Tage lang sollst du Ungesäuertes essen; und am siebenten Tage ist der Versammlungstag des HERRN, deines Gottes; da sollst du kein Werk tun.

9 Seuen weekes shalt thou nomber vnto thee, and shalt beginne to nomber ye seuen weekes, when thou beginnest to put the sickel to ye corne:

Sieben Wochen sollst du dir abzählen; wenn man anfängt, die Sichel an die Saat zu legen, sollst du anheben, die sieben Wochen zu zählen.

10 And thou shalt keepe the feast of weekes vnto the Lord thy God, euen a free gift of thine hand, which thou shalt giue vnto the Lord thy God, as the Lord thy God hath blessed thee.

Darnach sollst du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, das Fest der Wochen halten und ein freiwilliges Opfer von deiner Hand geben, je nach dem der HERR, dein Gott, dich gesegnet hat.

11 And thou shalt reioyce before the Lord thy God, thou and thy sonne, and thy daughter, and thy seruant, and thy maide, and the Leuite that is within thy gates, and the stranger, and the fatherles, and the widowe, that are among you, in the place which the Lord thy God shall chuse to place his Name there,

Und du sollst fröhlich sein vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, du und dein Sohn und deine Tochter und dein Knecht und deine Magd und der Levit, der in deinen Toren ist, und der Fremdling und die Waise und die Witwe, die unter dir sind, an dem Ort, den der HERR, dein Gott, erwählen wird, daß sein Name daselbst wohne.

12 And thou shalt remember that thou wast a seruant in Egypt: therefore thou shalt obserue and doe these ordinances.

Und bedenke, daß du in Ägypten ein Knecht gewesen bist, daß du diese Satzungen beobachtest und tuest!

13 Thou shalt obserue the feast of the Tabernacles seuen daies, when thou hast gathered in thy corne, and thy wine.

Das Fest der Laubhütten sollst du sieben Tage lang halten, wenn du [den Ertrag] deiner Tenne und deiner Kelter eingesammelt hast.

14 And thou shalt reioyce in thy feast, thou, and thy sonne, and thy daughter, and thy seruant, and thy maid, and the Leuite, and the stranger, and the fatherlesse, and the widow, that are within thy gates.

Und du sollst an deinem Feste fröhlich sein, du und dein Sohn und deine Tochter und dein Knecht und deine Magd und der Levit und der Fremdling und die Waise und die Witwe, die in deinen Toren sind.

15 Seuen daies shalt thou keepe a feast vnto the Lord thy God in the place which the Lord shall chuse: when the Lord thy God shall blesse thee in all thine increase, and in all the workes of thine hands, thou shalt in any case be glad.

Sieben Tage lang sollst du dem HERRN, deinem Gott, das Fest halten an dem Ort, den der HERR erwählt hat; denn der HERR, dein Gott, wird dich segnen im ganzen Ertrag [deiner Ernte] und in allen Werken deiner Hände; darum sollst du fröhlich sein.

16 Three times in the yeere shall all the males appeare before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall chuse: in the feast of the vnleauened bread, and in the feast of the weekes, and in the feast of the Tabernacles: and they shall not appeare before the Lord emptie.

Dreimal im Jahre sollen alle deine männlichen Personen vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, erscheinen an dem Ort, den er erwählen wird, nämlich am Fest der ungesäuerten Brote und am Fest der Wochen und am Fest der Laubhütten. Aber niemand soll mit leeren Händen vor dem HERRN erscheinen,

17 Euery man shall giue according to the gift of his hand, and according to the blessing of the Lord thy God, which he hath giuen thee.

sondern ein jeder mit einer Gabe seiner Hand, je nach dem Segen, den der HERR, dein Gott, dir gegeben hat.

18 Iudges and officers shalt thou make thee in all thy cities, which the Lord thy God giueth thee, throughout thy tribes: and they shall iudge the people with righteous iudgement.

Du sollst dir Richter und Amtleute einsetzen in allen deinen Toren, die der HERR, dein Gott, dir unter deinen Stämmen geben wird, damit sie das Volk richten mit gerechtem Gericht.

19 Wrest not thou ye Law, nor respect any person, neither take rewarde: for the reward blindeth ye eyes of the wise, and peruerteth ye worde of ye iust.

Du sollst das Recht nicht beugen. Du sollst auch keine Person ansehen und keine Geschenke nehmen, denn die Geschenke verblenden die Augen der Weisen und verkehren die Worte der Gerechten.

20 That which is iust and right shalt thou follow, that thou maiest liue, and possesse the land which the Lord thy God giueth thee.

Der Gerechtigkeit, ja der Gerechtigkeit jage nach, daß du leben und das Land besitzen mögest, das der HERR, dein Gott, dir geben wird.

21 Thou shalt plant thee no groue of any trees neere vnto the altar of the Lord thy God, which thou shalt make thee.

Du sollst dir kein Astartenbild von irgendwelchem Holz aufstellen bei dem Altar des HERRN, deines Gottes, den du dir machst,

22 Thou shalt set thee vp no pillar, which thing the Lord thy God hateth.

und du sollst dir auch keine Säule aufrichten; solches haßt der HERR, dein Gott.
