Daniel 9
1 In the first yeere of Darius the sonne of Ahashuerosh, of the seede of the Medes, which was made King ouer the realme of the Caldeans,
No ano primeiro de Dario, filho de Assuero, da nação dos medos, o qual foi constituido rei sobre o reino dos caldeus,
2 Euen in the first yeere of his reigne, I Daniel vnderstood by bookes the nomber of the yeeres, whereof the Lord had spoken vnto Ieremiah the Prophet, that he would accomplish seuentie yeeres in the desolation of Ierusalem.
No ano primeiro do seu reinado, eu, Daniel, entendi pelos livros que o número dos anos, dos quais falou o Senhor ao profeta Jeremias, em que haviam de acabar as assolações de Jerusalém, era de setenta anos.
3 And I turned my face vnto the Lord God, and sought by prayer and supplications with fasting and sackcloth and ashes.
E eu dirigi o meu rosto ao Senhor Deus, para o buscar com oração e rogos, com jejum, e saco e cinza.
4 And I prayed vnto the Lord my God, and made my confession, saying, Oh Lord God, which art great and fearefull, and keepest couenant and mercy toward them which loue thee, and toward them that keepe thy commandements,
E orei ao Senhor meu Deus, e confessei, e disse: Ah! Senhor! Deus grande e tremendo, que guardas o concerto e a misericórdia para com os que te amam e guardam os teus mandamentos.
5 We haue sinned, and haue committed iniquitie and haue done wickedly, yea, we haue rebelled, and haue departed from thy precepts, and from thy iudgements.
Pecamos, e cometemos iniquidade, e fizemos impiamente, e fomos rebeldes, apartando-nos dos teus mandamentos e dos teus juízos;
6 For we would not obey thy seruants the Prophets, which spake in thy Name to our Kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
E não demos ouvidos aos teus servos, os profetas, que em teu nome falaram aos nossos reis, aos nossos príncipes, e a nossos pais, como também a todo o povo da terra.
7 O Lord, righteousnes belongeth vnto thee, and vnto vs open shame, as appeareth this day vnto euery man of Iudah, and to the inhabitants of Ierusalem: yea, vnto all Israel, both neere and farre off, through all the countreys, whither thou hast driuen them, because of their offences, that they haue committed against thee.
Tua, ó Senhor, é a justiça, mas a nós pertence confusão de rosto, como se vê neste dia, aos homens de Judá, e aos moradores de Jerusalém, e a todo o Israel; aos de perto e aos de longe, em todas as terras por onde os tens lançado, por causa da sua prevaricação, com que prevaricaram contra ti.
8 O Lord, vnto vs apperteineth open shame, to our Kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we haue sinned against thee.
Ó Senhor, a nós pertence a confusão de rosto, aos nossos reis, aos nossos príncipes, e a nossos pais, porque pecamos contra ti.
9 Yet compassion and forgiuenesse is in the Lord our God, albeit we haue rebelled against him.
Ao Senhor, nosso Deus, pertencem as misericórdias e os perdões; ainda que nos rebelamos contra ele,
10 For we haue not obeyed the voyce of the Lord our God, to walke in his lawes, which he had laide before vs by the ministerie of his seruants the Prophets.
E não obedecemos à voz do Senhor, nosso Deus, para andarmos nas suas leis, que nos deu pela mão de seus servos, os profetas.
11 Yea, all Israel haue transgressed thy Lawe, and are turned backe, and haue not heard thy voyce: therefore the curse is powred vpon vs, and the othe that is written in the Lawe of Moses the seruant of God, because we haue sinned against him.
E todo o Israel traspassou a tua lei, apartando-se para não obedecer à tua voz; por isso a maldição e o juramento, que está escrito na lei de Moisés, servo de Deus, se derramou sobre nós; porque pecamos contra ele.
12 And he hath confirmed his wordes, which he spake against vs, and against our iudges that iudged vs, by bringing vpon vs a great plague: for vnder the whole heauen hath not bene the like, as hath bene brought vpon Ierusalem.
E ele confirmou a sua palavra, que falou contra nós, e contra os nossos juízes que nos julgavam, trazendo sobre nós um grande mal; que nunca foi feito debaixo de todo o céu como foi feito em Jerusalém.
13 All this plague is come vpon vs, as it is written in the Lawe of Moses: yet made we not our prayer before the Lord our God, that we might turne from our iniquities and vnderstand thy trueth.
Como está escrito na lei de Moisés, todo aquele mal nos sobreveio: contudo não suplicamos à face do Senhor nosso Deus, para nos convertermos das nossas iniquidades, e para nos aplicarmos à tua verdade.
14 Therefore hath the Lord made ready the plague, and brought it vpon vs: for the Lord our God is righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we would not heare his voyce.
E apressurou-se o Senhor sobre o mal, e o trouxe sobre nós; porque justo é o Senhor, nosso Deus, em todas as suas obras, que fez, pois não obedecemos à sua voz
15 And nowe, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people out of the land of Egypt with a mightie hand, and hast gotten thee renoume, as appeareth this day, we haue sinned, we haue done wickedly.
Ora pois, ó Senhor, nosso Deus, que tiraste o teu povo da terra do Egito com mão poderosa, e ganhaste para ti nome, como se vê neste dia, pecamos; obramos impiamente.
16 O Lord, according to all thy righteousnes, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy wrath be turned away from thy citie Ierusalem thine holy Mountaine: for because of our sinnes, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Ierusalem and thy people are a reproche to all that are about vs.
Ó Senhor, segundo todas as tuas justiças pois, aparte-se a tua ira e o teu furor da tua cidade de Jerusalém, do teu santo monte; porque por causa dos nossos pecados, e por causa das iniquidades de nossos pais, vieram Jerusalém e o teu povo a servir de opróbrio a todos os que nos estão em redor.
17 Nowe therefore, O our God, heare the prayer of thy serunant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine vpon thy Sanctuarie, that lyeth waste for the Lords sake.
Agora pois, ó Deus nosso, ouve a oração do teu servo, e as suas suplicas, e sobre o teu santuário assolado faze resplandecer o teu rosto, por amor do Senhor.
18 O my God, encline thine eare and heare: open thine eyes, and beholde our desolations, and the citie whereupon thy Name is called: for we doe not present our supplications before thee for our owne righteousnes, but for thy great tender mercies.
Inclina, ó Deus meu, os teus ouvidos; e ouve: abre os teus olhos, e olha para a nossa desolação, e para a cidade a qual é chamada pelo teu nome, porque não lançamos as nossas suplicas perante a tua face fiados em nossas justiças, mas em tuas muitas misericórdias.
19 O Lord, heare, O Lord forgiue, O Lord consider, and doe it: deferre not, for thine owne sake, O my God: for thy Name is called vpon thy citie, and vpon thy people.
Ó Senhor, ouve: ó Senhor, perdoa; ó Senhor, atende-nos e obra sem tardar; por amor de ti mesmo, ó Deus meu; porque a tua cidade e o teu povo se chamam pelo teu nome.
20 And whiles I was speaking and praying, and confessing my sinne, and the sinne of my people Israel, and did present my supplication before the Lord my God, for the holy Mountaine of my God,
Estando eu ainda falando e orando, e confessando o meu pecado, e o pecado do meu povo Israel, e lançando a minha súplica perante a face do Senhor, meu Deus, pelo monte santo do meu Deus,
21 Yea, while I was speaking in prayer, euen the man Gabriel, whome I had seene before in the vision, came flying, and touched mee about the time of the euening oblation.
Estando eu, digo, ainda falando na oração, o varão Gabriel, que eu tinha visto ao princípio, veio, voando rapidamente, tocando-me, como à hora do sacrifício da tarde.
22 And he informed me, and talked with me, and sayd, O Daniel, I am now come forth to giue thee knowledge and vnderstanding.
E me instruiu, e falou comigo, e disse: Daniel, agora saí para fazer-te entender o sentido.
23 At the beginning of thy supplications the commandement came foorth, and I am come to shewe thee, for thou art greatly beloued: therefore vnderstande the matter and consider the vision.
No princípio das tuas suplicas, saiu a palavra, e eu vim, para to declarar, porque és mui amado: toma pois bem sentido da palavra, e entende a visão.
24 Seuentie weekes are determined vpon thy people and vpon thine holy citie, to finish the wickednes, and to seale vp the sinnes, and to reconcile the inquitie, and to bring in euerlasting righteousnesse, and to seale vp the vision and prophecie, and to anoynt the most Holy.
Setenta semanas estão determinadas sobre o teu povo, e sobre a tua santa cidade, para consumir a transgressão, e para acabar os pecados, e para expiar a iniquidade, e para trazer a justiça eterna, e para selar a visão e o profeta, e para ungir o santo dos santos.
25 Knowe therefore and vnderstande, that from the going foorth of the commandement to bring againe the people, and to builde Ierusalem, vnto Messiah the prince, shall be seuen weekes and threescore and two weekes, and the streete shalbe built againe, and the wall euen in a troublous time.
Sabe e entende: desde a saída da palavra para fazer tornar, e para edificar a Jerusalém, até ao Messias, o príncipe, sete semanas, e sessenta e duas semanas: as ruas e as tranqueiras se reedificarão, porém em tempos angustiados.
26 And after threescore and two weekes, shall Messiah be slaine, and shall haue nothing, and the people of the prince that shall come, shall destroy the citie and the Sanctuarie, and the end thereof shalbe with a flood: and vnto the end of the battell it shalbe destroyed by desolations.
E depois das sessenta e duas semanas será desarreigado o Messias, e não será mais: e o povo do príncipe, que virá, destruirá a cidade e o santuário, e o seu fim será com uma inundação; e até ao fim da guerra estão determinadas as assolações.
27 And he shall confirme the couenant with many for one weeke: and in the middes of the weeke he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the ouerspreading of the abominations, he shall make it desolate, euen vntill the consummation determined shalbe powred vpon the desolate.
E confirmará concerto com muitos uma semana: e na metade da semana fará cessar o sacrifício e a oferta de manjares; e sobre a ala das abominações virá assolador, e isso até à consumação; e o que está determinado será derramado sobre o assolado
