Daniel 7
1 In the first yeere of Belshazzar King of Babel, Daniel sawe a dreame, and there were visions in his head, vpon his bed: then he wrote the dreame, and declared the summe of the matter.
இவற்றிற்கு முன், பாபிலோன் அரசன் பெல்ஷாத்சாரின் ஆட்சியின் முதலாவது வருடத்தில், தானியேல் ஒரு கனவு கண்டிருந்தான். அவன் படுத்திருக்கும்போது, அவனுடைய மனதில் தரிசனங்கள் கடந்துசென்றன. அவன் தான் கண்ட கனவின் சுருக்கத்தை எழுதிவைத்தான்.
2 Daniel spake and saide, I sawe in my vision by night, and behold, the foure windes of the heauen stroue vpon the great sea:
தானியேல் சொன்னதாவது: அந்த இரவில், என் தரிசனத்தில், வானத்தின் நான்கு காற்றுகள் வீசி மாபெருங்கடலை கொந்தளிக்கச் செய்துகொண்டிருந்ததைக் கண்டேன்.
3 And foure great beastes came vp from the sea one diuers from another.
அப்பொழுது நான்கு பெரிய விலங்குகள் கடலில் இருந்து மேலே வெளியேறின. அவை ஒன்றிலிருந்து மற்றது வித்தியாசமான உருவமுள்ளனவாய் இருந்தன.
4 The first was as a lyon, and had eagles wings: I beheld, til the wings thereof were pluckt of, and it was lifted vp from the earth, and set vpon his feete as a man, and a mans heart was giuen him.
முதலாவது விலங்கு சிங்கத்தைப்போன்றது; அதற்குக் கழுகின் சிறகுகள் இருந்தன. நான் கவனித்துப்பார்க்கையில், அந்தக் கழுகின் சிறகுகள் பிடுங்கப்பட்டு, அது நிலத்திலிருந்து மேலே தூக்கப்பட்டது. அப்பொழுது அது ஒரு மனிதனைப்போல் இரண்டு கால்களையும் ஊன்றி நின்றது. அதற்கு ஒரு மனிதனுடைய இருதயமும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.
5 And beholde, another beast which was the second, was like a beare and stood vpon the one side: and hee had three ribbes in his mouth betweene his teeth, and they saide thus vnto him, Arise and deuoure much flesh.
அங்கே எனக்கு முன்பாக இரண்டாவது மிருகம் நின்றது. அது கரடியைப்போல் காணப்பட்டது. அதன் ஒரு பக்கம் உயர்ந்திருக்கக் காணப்பட்டது. அதன் வாயில் பற்களுக்கிடையில் மூன்று விலா எலும்புகள் இருந்தன. அப்பொழுது, “எழுந்திரு, போதுமான அளவு மாம்சம் சாப்பிடு என்று அதற்குச் சொல்லப்பட்டது.”
6 After this I behelde, and loe, there was an other like a leopard, which had vpon his backe foure wings of a foule: the beast had also foure heads, and dominion was giuen him.
அதன்பின்பு நான் பார்க்கையில் எனக்கு முன்பாக வேறொரு மிருகம் இருந்தது. அது சிறுத்தையைப்போல் இருந்தது. பறவையின் இறகுகளைப்போன்ற நான்கு சிறகுகள் அதன் முதுகின் பின்புறத்தில் இருந்தன. அந்த மிருகத்திற்கு நான்கு தலைகள் இருந்தன. ஆளுவதற்கான அதிகாரம் அதற்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.
7 After this I saw in the visions by night, and beholde, the fourth beast was fearefull and terrible and very strong. It had great yron teeth: it deuoured and brake in pieces and stamped the residue vnder his feete: and it was vnlike to the beasts that were before it: for it had ten hornes.
அந்த இரவிலே, எனது தரிசனத்தில் எனக்கு முன்பாக நான்காவது மிருகத்தையும் கண்டேன். அதுவோ திகிலூட்டுவதாகவும், பயங்கரமானதாகவும், மிகவும் வல்லமையுடையதாகவும் இருந்தது. பெரிய இரும்புப் பற்கள் அதற்கு இருந்தன. அது தனக்கு அகப்பட்டதை நசுக்கி சின்னாபின்னமாக்கி விழுங்கியது. எஞ்சியதைத் தனது கால்களால் மிதித்துப்போட்டது. அது முன்பு காணப்பட்ட மிருகங்களையும்விட, வித்தியாசமானதாய் இருந்தது. அதற்கு பத்து கொம்புகள் இருந்தன.
8 As I considered the hornes, beholde, there came vp among them another litle horne, before whome there were three of the first hornes pluckt away: and behold, in this horne were eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth speaking presumptuous things.
நான் அந்தக் கொம்புகளைப்பற்றி யோசித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், அங்கே எனக்கு முன்பாக அவற்றிற்கு நடுவில் வேறொரு சிறிய கொம்பு எழும்பிற்று. அப்பொழுது முன்பிருந்த கொம்புகளில் மூன்று பிடுங்கப்பட்டன. அந்தச் சிறிய கொம்பில் மனிதனுடைய கண்களைப்போன்ற கண்களும், பெருமையாய் பேசும் வாயும் இருந்தன.
9 I behelde, till the thrones were set vp, and the Ancient of dayes did sit, whose garment was white as snow, and the heare of his head like the pure wooll: his throne was like the fierie flame, and his wheeles as burning fire.
நான் தொடர்ந்து பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், அந்த இடத்தில் அரியணைகள் அமைக்கப்பட்டன. அதன் நடுவில் பூர்வீகத்திலுள்ளவர் அமர்ந்திருந்தார். அவரது உடை உறைந்த பனியைப்போல் வெண்மையாயிருந்தது. அவருடைய தலைமயிர் தூய்மையான பஞ்சைப்போல் வெண்மையாய் இருந்தது. அவரது அரியணை கொழுந்துவிட்டெரிகிற நெருப்பினால் சுடர் விட்டுக்கொண்டிருந்தது. அதன் சக்கரங்கள் கொழுந்து விட்டெரிந்தன.
10 A fierie streame yssued, and came foorth from before him: thousand thousandes ministred vnto him, and tenne thousand thousands stoode before him: the iudgement was set, and the bookes opened.
அவர் முன்னிலையிலிருந்து நெருப்பு ஆறு ஒன்று எழும்பி ஓடிக்கொண்டிருந்தது. ஆயிரம் ஆயிரமானவர்கள் அவருக்குப் பணிபுரிந்தார்கள். கோடிக்கணக்கானோர் அவர்முன் நின்றார்கள். நீதிமன்றம் கூட்டப்பட்டது. புத்தகங்கள் திறக்கப்பட்டன.
11 Then I behelde, because of the voyce of the presumptuous wordes, which the horne spake: I behelde, euen till the beast was slaine, and his body destroyed, and giuen to the burning fire.
“அதன்பின் அந்த சிறிய கொம்பு பெருமையான வார்த்தைகளைப் பேசிக்கொண்டிருந்ததால், நான் தொடர்ந்து கவனித்துப் பார்த்தேன். அந்த மிருகம் கொலைசெய்யப்பட்டு, அதன் உடல் அழிக்கப்பட்டு நெருப்பு ஜூவாலையில் எறியப்படும்வரையும், நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருந்தேன்.
12 As concerning the other beastes, they had taken away their dominion: yet their liues were prolonged for a certaine time and season.
மற்ற மிருகங்களிடமிருந்தோ அவற்றின் அதிகாரம் பறிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தது. ஆயினும் அவை குறிப்பிட்ட காலத்திற்கு வாழும்படி அனுமதிக்கப்பட்டன.
13 As I behelde in visions by night, behold, one like the sonne of man came in the cloudes of heauen, and approched vnto the Ancient of dayes, and they brought him before him.
“அந்த இரவிலே எனது தரிசனத்தில் நான் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கையில், அங்கே எனக்கு முன்பாக வானத்தின் மேகங்களுடன் மனித குமாரனைப்போன்ற ஒருவர் வந்துகொண்டிருந்தார். அவர் பூர்வீகத்தில் உள்ளவரிடத்தின் அருகே வர, அவருக்கு முன்பாக அழைத்துச் செல்லப்பட்டார்.
14 And he gaue him dominion, and honour, and a kingdome, that all people, nations and languages should serue him: his dominion is an euerlasting dominion, which shall neuer bee taken away: and his kingdome shall neuer be destroyed.
அவருக்கு அதிகாரமும், மகிமையும், ஆளுமையும், வல்லமையும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன. எல்லா மக்களும், நாடுகளும், பல்வேறு மொழிகளைப் பேசும் மனிதரும் அவரை வழிபட்டனர். அவரது ஆளுகை ஒழிந்துபோகாத ஆளுகை, அது என்றென்றும் நிலைத்திருக்கும். அவரது அரசு ஒருபோதும் அழிந்துபோகாது.
15 I Daniel was troubled in my spirit, in the middes of my body, and the visions of mine head made me afraide.
“தானியேலாகிய நான் எனது ஆவியில் கலங்கியிருந்தேன், என் மனதின் வழியாகக் கடந்துசென்ற தரிசனங்கள் என்னைக் கலக்கமடையச்செய்தன.
16 Therefore I came vnto one of them that stoode by, and asked him the trueth of all this: so he tolde me, and shewed me the interpretation of these things.
அரியணையின் அருகில் நின்றவர்களில் ஒருவனை நான் அணுகி, இவற்றின் உண்மையான விளக்கத்தைக் கேட்டேன். “அப்போது அவன் எனக்கு அவற்றின் விளக்கத்தைச் சொன்னான்.
17 These great beastes which are foure, are foure Kings, which shall arise out of the earth,
அந்த நான்கு பெரிய மிருகங்களும், பூமியிலிருந்து தோன்றப்போகும் நான்கு அரசுகள்.
18 And they shall take the kingdome of the Saintes of the most High, and possesse the kingdome for euer, euen for euer and euer.
இருந்தாலும் மகா உன்னதமானவரின் பரிசுத்தவான்களே அரசைப்பெற்று, அதை என்றென்றைக்கும் உரிமையாக்கிக்கொள்வார்கள். ஆம், என்றென்றைக்கும் உரிமையாக்கிக்கொள்வார்கள்.
19 After this, I woulde knowe the trueth of the fourth beast, which was so vnlike to all the others, very fearefull, whose teeth were of yron, and his nailes of brasse: which deuoured, brake in pieces, and stamped the residue vnder his feete.
“அதன் பின்னர் நான்காவது மிருகத்தைப்பற்றிய உண்மையான விளக்கத்தை அறிய விரும்பினேன். இந்த மிருகம் மற்ற எல்லாவற்றிலும் வித்தியாசமானதும், மிகுந்த பயங்கரமானதும், இரும்புப் பற்களையுடையதும், வெண்கல நகங்களையுடையதுமாயிருந்தது. தனக்கு அகப்பட்டதைப் நசித்து சின்னாபின்னமாக்கி, தான் விழுங்கியதுபோக எஞ்சியதைத் தன் காலின்கீழ் போட்டு மிதித்தது.
20 Also to know of the tenne hornes that were in his head, and of the other which came vp, before whome three fell, and of the horne that had eyes, and of the mouth that spake presumptuous thinges, whose looke was more stoute then his fellowes.
அதோடு அதன் தலையிலிருந்த பத்துக்கொம்புகளைப் பற்றியும், முளைத்த மற்ற கொம்பைப்பற்றியும் அறிய விரும்பினேன். முன்பிருந்த மூன்று கொம்புகளையும் விழப்பண்ணின இந்தக் கொம்பு, மற்றதைவிடப் பெலமுடையதாய்க் காணப்பட்டது. அதற்கு கண்களும், பெருமை பேசும் வாயும் இருந்தன.
21 I beheld, and the same horne made battel against the Saintes, yea, and preuailed against them,
நான் பார்த்தபோது, அந்தக் கொம்பு இறைவனின் பரிசுத்தவான்களுக்கு எதிராகப் போரிட்டு, அவர்களைத் தோற்கடித்துக்கொண்டிருந்தது.
22 Vntill the Ancient of dayes came, and iudgement was giuen to the Saintes of the most High: and the time approched, that the Saintes possessed the kingdome.
பூர்வீகத்திலுள்ளவர் வந்து, மகா உன்னதமானவரின் பரிசுத்தவான்களின் சார்பாக நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு வழங்கும் வரைக்கும், அவர்களுக்கு அரசுரிமை கிடைக்கும் காலம் வரும்வரைக்கும் அது யுத்தம் செய்துகொண்டே இருந்தது.
23 Then he said, The fourth beast shall be the fourth kingdome in the earth, which shall be vnlike to all the kingdomes, and shall deuoure the whole earth, and shall treade it downe and breake it in pieces.
“எனக்கு அவன் கொடுத்த விளக்கமாவது: அந்த நான்காம் மிருகம் பூமியில் தோன்றப்போகும் நான்காம் அரசைக் குறிக்கும். அது மற்ற எல்லா அரசுகளையும்விட, வித்தியாசமானதாய் இருக்கும். அது பூமி முழுவதையும் மிதித்து, நசுக்கி விழுங்கிவிடும்.
24 And the ten hornes out of this kingdome are tenne Kings that shall rise: and an other shall rise after them, and he shall be vnlike to the first, and he shall subdue three Kings,
அந்தப் பத்துக் கொம்புகளும், அந்த அரசில் இருந்து தோன்றும் அரசர்கள். அவர்களுக்குப்பின் முந்தின அரசர்களைவிட, வித்தியாசமான வேறொருவன் தோன்றுவான். அவன் அவர்களுள் மூன்று அரசர்களைத் தனக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்துவான்.
25 And shall speake wordes against the most High, and shall consume the Saintes of the most High, and thinke that he may change times and lawes, and they shalbe giuen into his hand, vntill a time, and times and the deuiding of time.
அவன் மகா உன்னதமானவருக்கு எதிராகப் பேசுவான். அவன் அவரது பரிசுத்தவான்களை ஒடுக்கி, நியமிக்கப்பட்ட கால அட்டவணைகளையும், நீதிச்சட்டங்களையும் மாற்ற முயற்சிசெய்வான். பரிசுத்தவான்கள் அவனிடத்தில் ஒரு காலத்திற்கும், காலங்களுக்கும், அரைக் காலத்திற்கும் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்.
26 But the iudgement shall sit, and they shall take away his dominion, to consume and destroy it vnto the ende.
“‘ஆனால், நீதிமன்றம் அமரும்; அப்போது அவனுடைய வல்லமை அவனிடமிருந்து பறிக்கப்பட்டு, என்றென்றுமாய் முழுவதும் அழிக்கப்படும்.
27 And the kingdome, and dominion, and the greatnesse of the kingdome vnder the whole heauen shalbe giue to the holy people of the most High, whose kingdome is an euerlasting kingdome and all powers shall serue and obey him.
வானத்தின் கீழுள்ள எல்லா அரசுகளின் ஆளுமையும், வல்லமையும், மகத்துவமும், மகா உன்னதமானவருடைய மக்களான பரிசுத்தவான்களிடம் ஒப்படைக்கப்படும். அவரது அரசு நித்திய அரசாயிருக்கும். எல்லா ஆளுநர்களும் அவரை வழிபட்டு, அவருக்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவார்கள்.’
28 Euen this is the ende of the matter, I Daniel had many cogitations which troubled mee, and my countenance changed in me: but I kept the matter in mine heart.
“இதுவே நான் கண்டவற்றின் முடிவு. ஆனால், தானியேலாகிய நான் என் சிந்தனையில் குழப்பமடைந்திருந்தேன். என்னுடைய முகம் வேறுபட்டது. என்றாலும், இவற்றை நான் என்னுடனே என் மனதிலே வைத்துக்கொண்டேன்.”
