Daniel 4
1 Nebuchad-nezzar King vnto all people, nations and languages, that dwell in all the world, Peace be multiplied vnto you:
Nabucodonosor, o rei, ' a todos os povos, nações e línguas, que habitam em toda a terra: ' A paz seja multiplicada para você. '
2 I thought it good to declare the signes and wonders, that the hie God hath wrought toward me.
Pareceu-me bom mostrar os sinais e as maravilhas que o Deus Altíssimo tem trabalhado para comigo. '
3 How great are his signes, and how mightie are his wonders! his kingdome is an euerlasting kingdome, and his dominion is from generation to generation.
How grandes são seus sinais! Como são poderosas as suas maravilhas! Seu reino é um reino eterno. Seu domínio é de geração em geração.
4 I Nebuchad-nezzar being at rest in mine house, and flourishing in my palace,
Eu, Nabucodonosor, estava em repouso em minha casa, e florescendo em meu palácio.
5 Saw a dreame, which made me afraide, and the thoughtes vpon my bed, and the visions of mine head troubled me.
Eu vi um sonho que me deixou com medo; e os pensamentos em minha cama e as visões de minha cabeça me perturbaram.
6 Therefore made I a decree, that they should bring all the wise men of Babel before mee, that they might declare vnto me the interpretation of the dreame.
Therefore Fiz um decreto para trazer à minha presença todos os sábios da Babilônia, para que eles me dessem a conhecer a interpretação do sonho.
7 So came the inchanters, the astrologians, the Caldeans and the sothsayers, to whom I tolde the dreame, but they could not shew me the interpretation thereof,
Then os mágicos, os encantadores, os caldeus e os adivinhos entraram; e eu lhes contei o sonho, mas eles não me deram a conhecer sua interpretação.
8 Till at the last Daniel came before mee, (whose name was Belteshazzar, according to the name of my god, which hath the spirite of the holy gods in him) and before him I tolde the dreame, saying,
But finalmente, Daniel chegou antes de mim, cujo nome era Belteshazzar segundo o nome do meu deus, e em quem está o espírito dos deuses santos. Eu contei o sonho diante dele, dizendo, '
9 O Belteshazzar, chiefe of the enchanters, because I know, that the spirit of the holy gods is in thee, and no secret troubleth thee, tell mee the visions of my dreame, that I haue seene and the interpretation thereof.
“Belteshazzar, mestre dos mágicos, porque sei que o espírito dos deuses santos está em você e nenhum segredo o perturba, conte-me as visões do meu sonho que eu vi, e sua interpretação.
10 Thus were the visions of mine head in my bed. And beholde, I sawe a tree in the middes of the earth and the height thereof was great:
These foram as visões da minha cabeça na minha cama: Vi, e eis uma árvore no meio da terra; e sua altura era grande.
11 A great tree and strong, and the height thereof reached vnto heauen, and the sight thereof to the endes of all the earth.
A árvore cresceu e era forte. Sua altura chegava até o céu e sua visão até o fim de toda a terra.
12 The boughes thereof were faire and the fruite thereof much, and in it was meate for all: it made a shadow vnder it for the beastes of the fielde, and the foules of the heauen dwelt in the boughes thereof, and all flesh fedde of it.
Its as folhas eram lindas, e tinha muitos frutos, e nela havia alimento para todos. Os animais do campo tinham sombra debaixo dela, e as aves do céu viviam em seus galhos, e toda a carne era alimentada a partir dela. '
13 I sawe in the visions of mine head vpon my bed, and beholde, a watchman and an holy one came downe from heauen,
“Eu vi nas visões da minha cabeça na minha cama, e eis que um observador santo desceu do céu.
14 And cried aloude, and said thus, Hew downe the tree, and breake off his branches: shake off his leaues, and scatter his fruite, that the beastes may flee from vnder it, and the foules from his branches.
Ele gritou em voz alta e disse isto: “Cortem a árvore e cortem seus ramos! Sacode suas folhas e espalha seus frutos! Que os animais saiam de baixo dela e os pássaros de seus galhos”.
15 Neuerthelesse leaue the stumpe of his rootes in the earth, and with a band of yron and brasse binde it among the grasse of the fielde, and let it be wet with the dewe of heauen, and let his portion be with the beastes among the grasse of the fielde.
Nevertheless deixe o tronco de suas raízes na terra, mesmo com uma faixa de ferro e bronze, na tenra grama do campo; e deixe-o molhado com o orvalho do céu. Deixe sua porção estar com os animais no capim da terra.
16 Let his heart be changed from mans nature, and let a beasts heart be giuen vnto him, and let seuen times be passed ouer him.
Let que seu coração seja mudado do do homem, e que o coração de um animal lhe seja dado. Então que sete vezes passe por cima dele. '
17 The sentence is according to the decree of the watchmen, and according to the word of the holy ones: the demaunde was answered, to the intent that liuing men may knowe, that the most High hath power ouer the kingdome of men, and giueth it to whomsoeuer he will, and appointeth ouer it the most abiect among men.
“'A frase é pelo decreto dos observadores e a exigência pela palavra dos santos, para que os vivos saibam que o Altíssimo reina no reino dos homens, e o dá a quem quiser, e estabelece sobre ele o mais baixo dos homens'. '
18 This is the dreame, that I King Nebuchad-nezzar haue seene: therefore thou, O Belteshazzar, declare the interpretation thereof: for all the wisemen of my kingdome are not able to shewe mee the interpretation: but thou art able, for the spirit of the holy gods is in thee.
“Este sonho eu, rei Nabucodonosor, vi; e vós, Belteshazzar, declarais a interpretação, porque todos os sábios do meu reino não são capazes de me fazer conhecer a interpretação; mas vós sois capazes, pois o espírito dos deuses santos está em vós”. '
19 Then Daniel (whose name was Belteshazzar) held his peace by the space of one houre, and his thoughts troubled him, and the King spake and said, Belteshazzar, let neither the dreame, nor the interpretation thereof trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and saide, My lord, the dreame be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.
Então Daniel, cujo nome era Belteshazzar, ficou mudo por um tempo, e seus pensamentos o perturbaram. O rei respondeu: “Belteshazzar, não deixe que o sonho ou a interpretação, o incomode”. ' Belteshazzar respondeu: “Meu senhor, que o sonho seja para aqueles que te odeiam, e sua interpretação para seus adversários”.
20 The tree that thou sawest, which was great and mightie, whose height reached vnto the heauen, and the sight thereof through all the world,
A árvore que viste, que cresceu e era forte, cuja altura alcançava o céu e sua visão para toda a terra;
21 Whose leaues were faire and the fruit thereof much, and in it was meate for all, vnder the which the beastes of the fielde dwelt, and vpon whose branches the foules of the heauen did sit,
cujas folhas eram lindas e seus frutos abundantes, e nela havia alimento para todos; sob a qual viviam os animais do campo, e em cujos galhos as aves do céu tinham sua habitação -
22 It is thou, O King, that art great and mightie: for thy greatnesse is growen, and reacheth vnto heauen, and thy dominion to the endes of the earth.
és tu, ó rei, que cresceste e te tornaste forte; pois tua grandeza cresceu, e alcança o céu, e teu domínio até os confins da terra. '
23 Where as the King sawe a watchman, and an holy one, that came downe from heauen, and said, Hew downe the tree and destroy it, yet leaue the stumpe of the rootes thereof in the earth, and with a bande of yron and brasse binde it among the grasse of the fielde, and let it be wette with the dewe of heauen, and let his portion be with the beastes of the fielde, till seuen times passe ouer him,
“Considerando que o rei viu um observador santo descendo do céu e dizendo: 'Corte a árvore e destrua-a; não obstante, deixe o toco de suas raízes na terra, mesmo com uma faixa de ferro e bronze, na tenra grama do campo, e deixe-o molhado com o orvalho do céu'. Que sua porção esteja com os animais do campo, até que sete vezes passe por cima dele”. '
24 This is the interpretation, O King, and it is the decree of the most High, which is come vpon my lord the King,
“Esta é a interpretação, ó rei, e é o decreto do Altíssimo, que veio sobre meu senhor, o rei:
25 That they shall driue thee from men, and thy dwelling shalbe with the beasts of the fielde: they shall make thee to eate grasse as the oxen, and they shall wet thee with the dewe of heauen: and seuen times shall passe ouer thee, till thou knowe, that the most High beareth rule ouer the kingdome of men, and giueth it to whom so euer he will.
Você será expulso dos homens e sua morada será com os animais do campo. Serás feito para comer erva como os bois, e serás molhado com o orvalho do céu, e sete vezes passarás por cima de ti, até que saibas que o Altíssimo governa no reino dos homens, e o dá a quem quer que ele queira.
26 Where as they sayd, that one should leaue the stumpe of the tree rootes, thy kingdome shall remaine vnto thee: after that, thou shalt knowe, that the heauens haue the rule.
Whereas foi ordenado deixar o tronco das raízes da árvore, seu reino estará seguro para você depois de saber que os Céus governam.
27 Wherefore, O King, let my counsell be acceptable vnto thee, and breake off thy sinnes by righteousnes, and thine iniquities by mercy toward the poore: lo, let there be an healing of thine errour.
Therefore, ó rei, que meu conselho seja aceitável para ti, e rompa teus pecados pela justiça, e tuas iniquidades pela misericórdia para com os pobres. Talvez possa haver um alongamento de sua tranqüilidade”. '
28 All these things shall come vpon the King Nebuchad-nezzar.
All isto veio sobre o Rei Nabucodonosor.
29 At the end of twelue moneths, he walked in the royall palace of Babel.
At ao final de doze meses ele estava andando no palácio real da Babilônia.
30 And the King spake and sayde, Is not this great Babel, that I haue built for the house of the kingdome by the might of my power, and for the honour of my maiestie?
O rei falou e disse: “Não é esta grande Babilônia, que construí para a morada real pela força do meu poder e pela glória de minha majestade? '
31 While the worde was in the Kings mouth, a voyce came downe from heauen, saying, O King Nebuchad-nezzar, to thee be it spoken, Thy kingdome is departed from thee,
While a palavra estava na boca do rei, uma voz veio do céu, dizendo: “Ó rei Nabucodonosor, a ti se diz: 'O reino partiu de ti'.
32 And they shall driue thee from men, and thy dwelling shalbe with the beastes of the fielde: they shall make thee to eate grasse, as the oxen, and seuen times shall passe ouer thee, vntill thou knowest, that the most High beareth rule ouer the kingdome of men, and giueth it vnto whomsoeuer he will.
Serás expulso dos homens, e tua morada será com os animais do campo”. Serás feito para comer erva como os bois”. Sete vezes vos passarão por cima, até que saibais que o Altíssimo reina no reino dos homens, e o dai a quem ele quiser”. '
33 The very same houre was this thing fulfilled vpon Nebuchad-nezzar, and hee was driuen from men, and did eate grasse as the oxen, and his body was wet with the dewe of heauen, till his heares were growen as eagles feathers, and his nailes like birds clawes.
This foi realizado na mesma hora em Nebuchadnezzar. Ele foi expulso dos homens e comeu grama como bois; e seu corpo foi molhado com o orvalho do céu até que seus cabelos cresceram como penas de águias, e suas unhas como garras de pássaros. '
34 And at the ende of these dayes I Nebuchad-nezzar lift vp mine eyes vnto heauen, and mine vnderstanding was restored vnto me, and I gaue thankes vnto the most High, and I praysed and honoured him that liueth for euer, whose power is an euerlasting power, and his kingdome is from generation to generation.
At no final dos dias eu, Nabucodonosor, levantei meus olhos para o céu, e minha compreensão voltou para mim; e abençoei o Altíssimo, e elogiei e honrei aquele que vive para sempre, ' pois seu domínio é um domínio eterno, e seu reino de geração em geração.
35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and according to his will he worketh in the armie of heauen, and in the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, nor say vnto him, What doest thou?
All os habitantes da terra são reputados como nada; e ele faz de acordo com sua vontade no exército do céu, e entre os habitantes da terra; e ninguém pode parar sua mão, ou pergunte-lhe: “O que você está fazendo?”.
36 At the same time was mine vnderstanding restored vnto me, and I returned to the honour of my kingdome: my glory and my beautie was restored vnto me, and my counsellours and my princes sought vnto me, and I was established in my kingdome, and my glory was augmented toward me.
At ao mesmo tempo meu entendimento voltou para mim; e para a glória de meu reino, minha majestade e brilho voltaram para mim. Meus conselheiros e meus senhores me procuraram; e eu estava estabelecido em meu reino, e a excelente grandeza foi acrescentada a mim.
37 Now therefore I Nebuchad-nezzar prayse and extoll and magnifie the King of heauen, whose workes are all trueth, and his wayes iudgement, and those that walke in pride, he is able to abase.
Now Eu, Nabucodonosor, louvo, exalto e honro o Rei dos Céus; pois todas as suas obras são verdade e seus caminhos são justiça; e aqueles que andam com orgulho, ele é capaz de humilhar. '
