Daniel 12

1 And at that time shall Michael stand vp, ye great prince, which standeth for ye children of thy people, and there shall be a time of trouble, such as neuer was since there began to be a nation vnto that same time: and at that time thy people shall be deliuered, euery one that shall be foud written in ye boke.

۱ «و در آن زمان میکائیل، امیر عظیمی که برای پسران قوم تو ایستاده است خواهد برخاست و چنان زمان تنگی خواهد شدکه از حینی که امتی به وجود آمده است تا امروزنبوده و در آنزمان هر یک از قوم تو که در دفترمکتوب یافت شود رستگار خواهد شد.

2 And many of them that sleepe in the dust of the earth, shall awake, some to euerlasting life, and some to shame and perpetuall contempt.

۲ وبسیاری از آنانی که در خاک زمین خوابیده اندبیدار خواهند شد، اما اینان به جهت حیات جاودانی و آنان به جهت خجالت و حقارت جاودانی.

3 And they that be wise, shall shine, as ye brightnes of the firmament: and they that turne many to righteousnes, shall shine as the starres, for euer and euer.

۳ و حکیمان مثل روشنایی افلاک خواهند درخشید و آنانی که بسیاری را به راه عدالت رهبری می‌نمایند مانند ستارگان خواهندبود تا ابدالاباد.

4 But thou, O Daniel, shut vp the words, and seale the boke til the end of the time: many shall run to and from, and knowledge shall be increased.

۴ اما تو‌ای دانیال کلام را مخفی دار و کتاب را تا زمان آخر مهر کن. بسیاری بسرعت تردد خواهند نمود و علم افزوده خواهدگردید.»

5 Then I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two, ye one on this side of ye brinke of ye riuer, and the other on that side of ye brinke of the riuer.

۵ پس من دانیال نظر کردم و اینک دو نفر دیگریکی به اینطرف و دیگری به آنطرف نهر ایستاده بودند.

6 And one saide vnto the man clothed in linen, which was vpon ye waters of the riuer, When shalbe the ende of these wonders?

۶ و یکی از ایشان به آن مرد ملبس به کتان که بالای آبهای نهر ایستاده بود گفت: «انتهای این عجایب تا بکی خواهد بود؟»

7 And I heard ye man clothed in line which was vpon the waters of the riuer, when he helde vp his right hand, and his left hand vnto heauen, and sware by him that liueth for euer, that it shall tarie for a time, two times and an halfe: and when he shall haue accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.

۷ و آن مرد ملبس به کتان را که بالای آبهای نهر ایستاده بود شنیدم که دست راست و دست چپ خود را بسوی آسمان برافراشته، به حی ابدی قسم خورد که برای زمانی و دو زمان و نصف زمان خواهد بود و چون پراکندگی قوت قوم مقدس به انجام رسد، آنگاه همه این امور به اتمام خواهد رسید.

8 The I heard it, but I vnderstood it not: the said I, O my Lord, what shalbe ye end of these things?

۸ و من شنیدم اما درک نکردم پس گفتم: «ای آقایم آخر این امور چه خواهد بود؟»

9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for ye words are closed vp, and sealed, till the ende of the time.

۹ او جواب داد که «ای دانیال برو زیرا این کلام تا زمان آخرمخفی و مختوم شده است.

10 Many shalbe purified, made white, and tried: but the wicked shall doe wickedly, and none of the wicked shall haue vnderstanding: but the wise shall vnderstand.

۱۰ بسیاری طاهر وسفید و مصفی خواهند گردید و شریران شرارت خواهند ورزید و هیچ کدام از شریران نخواهندفهمید لیکن حکیمان خواهند فهمید.

11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shalbe take away and the abominable desolatio set vp, there shalbe a thousand, two hundreth and ninetie daies.

۱۱ و ازهنگام موقوف شدن قربانی دایمی و نصب نمودن رجاست ویرانی، هزار و دویست و نود روزخواهد بود.

12 Blessed is he that waiteth and commeth to the thousand, three hundreth and fiue and thirtie daies.

۱۲ خوشابه‌حال آنکه انتظار کشد و به هزار و سیصد و سی و پنج روز برسد.

13 But go thou thy way til the end be: for thou shalt rest and stand vp in thy lot, at the end of ye daies.

۱۳ اما تو تابه آخرت برو زیرا که مستریح خواهی شد و درآخر این ایام در نصیب خود قایم خواهی بود.»
