Daniel 12
1 And at that time shall Michael stand vp, ye great prince, which standeth for ye children of thy people, and there shall be a time of trouble, such as neuer was since there began to be a nation vnto that same time: and at that time thy people shall be deliuered, euery one that shall be foud written in ye boke.
Mais en ce temps-là s’élèvera Michel le grand prince, qui est pour les fils de ton peuple; et viendra un temps, tel qu’il n’y en a pas eu depuis que les nations ont commencé d’être jusqu’alors. Et en ce temps-là, sera sauvé quiconque de ton peuple sera trouvé écrit dans le livre.
2 And many of them that sleepe in the dust of the earth, shall awake, some to euerlasting life, and some to shame and perpetuall contempt.
Et beaucoup de ceux qui dorment dans la poussière de la terre s’éveilleront: les uns pour la vie éternelle, et les autres pour l’opprobre, afin qu’ils le voient toujours.
3 And they that be wise, shall shine, as ye brightnes of the firmament: and they that turne many to righteousnes, shall shine as the starres, for euer and euer.
Or ceux qui auront été savants brilleront comme la splendeur du firmament, et ceux qui enseignent la justice à un grand nombre, seront comme les étoiles dans les perpétuelles éternités.
4 But thou, O Daniel, shut vp the words, and seale the boke til the end of the time: many shall run to and from, and knowledge shall be increased.
Mais toi, Daniel, ferme les paroles, et scelle le livre jusqu’au temps déterminé; beaucoup le parcourront et la science sera multipliée.
5 Then I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two, ye one on this side of ye brinke of ye riuer, and the other on that side of ye brinke of the riuer.
Et je vis, moi Daniel, et voilà comme deux autres hommes qui se tenaient debout: l’un en deçà, sur la rive du fleuve, et l’autre au-delà, sur la rive du fleuve.
6 And one saide vnto the man clothed in linen, which was vpon ye waters of the riuer, When shalbe the ende of these wonders?
Et je dis à l’homme qui était vêtu de lin, qui se tenait sur les eaux du fleuve: Quand sera la fin de ces prodiges?
7 And I heard ye man clothed in line which was vpon the waters of the riuer, when he helde vp his right hand, and his left hand vnto heauen, and sware by him that liueth for euer, that it shall tarie for a time, two times and an halfe: and when he shall haue accomplished to scatter the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
Et j’entendis l’homme qui était vêtu de lin, qui se tenait debout sur les eaux du fleuve, lorsqu’il eut élevé sa main droite et sa main gauche au ciel, et qu’il eut juré par celui qui vit éternellement, en disant: Dans un temps, et deux temps, et la moitié d’un temps. Et quand la dispersion de l’assemblée du peuple saint sera accomplie, toutes ces choses seront accomplies.
8 The I heard it, but I vnderstood it not: the said I, O my Lord, what shalbe ye end of these things?
Et moi j’entendis et ne compris pas. Et je dis: Mon Seigneur, qu’est-ce qui sera après ceci?
9 And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for ye words are closed vp, and sealed, till the ende of the time.
Et il dit: Va, Daniel; car les paroles sont fermées et scellées jusqu’au temps fixé.
10 Many shalbe purified, made white, and tried: but the wicked shall doe wickedly, and none of the wicked shall haue vnderstanding: but the wise shall vnderstand.
Beaucoup seront purifiés, et deviendront blancs et éprouvés comme le feu, et les impies agiront avec impiété, et aucun des impies ne comprendra; mais les savants comprendront.
11 And from the time that the daily sacrifice shalbe take away and the abominable desolatio set vp, there shalbe a thousand, two hundreth and ninetie daies.
Et depuis le temps qu’aura été aboli le sacrifice perpétuel, et qu’aura été établie l’abomination de la désolation, il s’écoulera mille deux cent quatre-vingt-dix jours.
12 Blessed is he that waiteth and commeth to the thousand, three hundreth and fiue and thirtie daies.
Bien heureux celui qui attend et qui parvient jusqu’à mille trois cent trente-cinq jours.
13 But go thou thy way til the end be: for thou shalt rest and stand vp in thy lot, at the end of ye daies.
Mais toi, va jusqu’au terme fixé, et tu seras en repos, et tu demeureras dans ton état jusqu’à la fin des jours.
