Amos 3
1 Heare this worde that the Lord pronounceth against you, O children of Israel, euen against the whole familie which I brought vp from the land of Egypt, saying,
੧ਹੇ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀਓ, ਇਹ ਬਚਨ ਸੁਣੋ ਜਿਹੜਾ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨੇ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਅਰਥਾਤ ਉਸ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਬੋਲਿਆ ਹੈ ਜਿਸ ਨੂੰ ਮੈਂ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਤੋਂ ਕੱਢ ਲਿਆਇਆ,
2 You onely haue I knowen of all the families of the earth: therefore I will visite you for all your iniquities.
੨“ਧਰਤੀ ਦੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਘਰਾਣਿਆਂ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਮੈਂ ਸਿਰਫ਼ ਤੁਹਾਨੂੰ ਹੀ ਚੁਣਿਆ ਹੈ, ਇਸ ਲਈ ਮੈਂ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਸਾਰੇ ਅਪਰਾਧਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਤੁਹਾਡੇ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ!”
3 Can two walke together except they bee agreed?
੩“ਭਲਾ, ਦੋ ਮਨੁੱਖ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਚੱਲ ਸਕਦੇ ਹਨ, ਜੇ ਉਹ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਨਾ ਹੋਣ?
4 Will a lion roare in ye forest, when he hath no pray? or wil a lions whelpe cry out of his den, if he haue taken nothing?
੪ਕੀ ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਸ਼ਿਕਾਰ ਮਿਲੇ ਜੰਗਲ ਵਿੱਚ ਗੱਜੇਗਾ? ਕੀ ਜੁਆਨ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਫੜ੍ਹੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਗੁਫ਼ਾ ਵਿੱਚੋਂ ਅਵਾਜ਼ ਕੱਢੇਗਾ?
5 Can a birde fall in a snare vpon the earth, where no fouler is? or will he take vp the snare from the earth, and haue taken nothing at all?
੫ਭਲਾ, ਪੰਛੀ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਜਾਲ਼ ਵਿਛਾਏ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਫਸੇਗਾ? ਕੀ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੁਝ ਫੜ੍ਹੇ ਜਾਲ਼ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੋਂ ਉੱਛਲੇਗਾ?
6 Or shall a trumpet be blowen in the citie, and the people be not afraide? or shall there be euil in a citie, and the Lord hath not done it?
੬ਭਲਾ, ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਤੁਰ੍ਹੀ ਫੂਕੀ ਜਾਵੇ ਅਤੇ ਲੋਕ ਨਾ ਡਰਨ? ਭਲਾ, ਜੇ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਨਾ ਭੇਜੇ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਕੋਈ ਬਿਪਤਾ ਕਿਸੇ ਸ਼ਹਿਰ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਵੇਗੀ?
7 Surely the Lord God will doe nothing, but he reueileth his secrete vnto his seruantes the Prophets.
੭ਸੱਚ-ਮੁੱਚ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਆਪਣੇ ਸੇਵਕ ਨਬੀਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਭੇਤ ਪਰਗਟ ਕੀਤੇ ਬਿਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਕੋਈ ਕੰਮ ਨਹੀਂ ਕਰੇਗਾ।
8 The lyon hath roared: who will not bee afraide? the Lord God hath spoken: who can but prophecie?
੮ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਗੱਜਿਆ ਹੈ, ਕੌਣ ਨਾ ਡਰੇਗਾ? ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਬੋਲਿਆ, ਕੌਣ ਭਵਿੱਖਬਾਣੀ ਨਾ ਕਰੇਗਾ?”
9 Proclayme in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the lande of Egypt, and saye, Assemble your selues vpon the mountaines of Samaria: so beholde the great tumultes in the middes thereof, and the oppressed in the middes thereof.
੯ਅਸ਼ਦੋਦ ਦੇ ਗੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਤੇ ਮਿਸਰ ਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇ ਸ਼ਾਹੀ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪ੍ਰਚਾਰ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਖੋ, “ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਦੇ ਪਹਾੜਾਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਇਕੱਠੇ ਹੋ ਜਾਓ ਅਤੇ ਵੇਖੋ ਕਿ ਉਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਕਿੰਨਾਂ ਰੌਲ਼ਾ ਹੈ ਅਤੇ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਿਚਕਾਰ ਕਿੰਨਾਂ ਜ਼ੁਲਮ ਹੈ!”
10 For they knowe not to doe right, sayth the Lord: they store vp violence, and robbery in their palaces.
੧੦ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਬਚਨ ਹੈ, “ਜਿਹੜੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਗੜ੍ਹਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਹਨੇਰ ਅਤੇ ਲੁੱਟ ਦਾ ਮਾਲ ਜਮ੍ਹਾਂ ਕਰਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਨੇਕੀ ਕਰਨਾ ਨਹੀਂ ਜਾਣਦੇ।”
11 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, An aduersary shall come euen rounde about the countrey, and shall bring downe thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shalbe spoyled.
੧੧ਇਸ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਇੱਕ ਵਿਰੋਧੀ ਦੇਸ਼ ਨੂੰ ਘੇਰ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੀ ਸ਼ਕਤੀ ਤੇਰੇ ਤੋਂ ਖੋਹ ਲਵੇਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਤੇਰੇ ਗੜ੍ਹ ਲੁੱਟੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ।”
12 Thus saieth the Lord, As the shephearde taketh out of the mouth of the lyon two legges, or a piece of an eare: so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus, as in a couche.
੧੨ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਇਹ ਫ਼ਰਮਾਉਂਦਾ ਹੈ, “ਜਿਵੇਂ ਅਯਾਲੀ ਬੱਬਰ ਸ਼ੇਰ ਦੇ ਮੂੰਹੋਂ ਦੋ ਲੱਤਾਂ ਜਾਂ ਕੰਨ ਦਾ ਟੁੱਕੜਾ ਛੁਡਾ ਲੈਂਦਾ ਹੈ, ਉਸੇ ਤਰ੍ਹਾਂ ਹੀ ਇਸਰਾਏਲੀ ਜਿਹੜੇ ਸਾਮਰਿਯਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਮੰਜੀਆਂ ਦੇ ਸਿਰ੍ਹਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਅਤੇ ਪਲੰਘਾਂ ਦੇ ਰੇਸ਼ਮੀ ਗੱਦਿਆਂ ਉੱਤੇ ਬੈਠਦੇ ਹਨ, ਉਹ ਵੀ ਛੁਡਾਏ ਜਾਣਗੇ।”
13 Heare, and testifie in the house of Iaakob, saith the Lord God, the God of hostes.
੧੩ਸੈਨਾਂ ਦੇ ਪਰਮੇਸ਼ੁਰ, ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ, “ਸੁਣੋ ਅਤੇ ਯਾਕੂਬ ਦੇ ਘਰਾਣੇ ਦੇ ਵਿਰੁੱਧ ਇਹ ਗਵਾਹੀ ਦਿਓ,
14 Surely in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel vpon him, I wil also visite the altars of Beth-el, and the hornes of the altar shall be broken off, and fall to the ground.
੧੪ਜਿਸ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਇਸਰਾਏਲ ਦੇ ਅਪਰਾਧਾਂ ਦੀ ਸਜ਼ਾ ਉਸ ਉੱਤੇ ਲਿਆਵਾਂਗਾ, ਉਸੇ ਦਿਨ ਮੈਂ ਬੈਤਏਲ ਦੀਆਂ ਜਗਵੇਦੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਵੀ ਨਾਸ ਕਰਾਂਗਾ ਅਤੇ ਜਗਵੇਦੀ ਦੇ ਸਿੰਗ ਕੱਟੇ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਉਹ ਧਰਤੀ ਉੱਤੇ ਡਿੱਗ ਪੈਣਗੇ।
15 And I wil smite the winter house with the sommer house, and the houses of yuorie shall perish, and the great houses shalbe consumed, sayth the Lord.
੧੫ਮੈਂ ਸਰਦੀ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਗਰਮੀ ਦੇ ਮਹਿਲਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਢਾਹ ਦਿਆਂਗਾ, ਹਾਥੀ ਦੰਦ ਨਾਲ ਬਣਾਏ ਹੋਏ ਮਹਿਲ ਵੀ ਬਰਬਾਦ ਹੋ ਜਾਣਗੇ ਅਤੇ ਵੱਡੇ-ਵੱਡੇ ਭਵਨ ਵੀ ਨਾਸ ਹੋਣਗੇ!” ਪ੍ਰਭੂ ਯਹੋਵਾਹ ਦਾ ਵਾਕ ਹੈ।
