Amos 3
1 Heare this worde that the Lord pronounceth against you, O children of Israel, euen against the whole familie which I brought vp from the land of Egypt, saying,
Höret dieses Wort, das Jehova über euch redet, ihr Kinder Israel, über das ganze Geschlecht, welches ich aus dem Lande Ägypten heraufgeführt habe!
2 You onely haue I knowen of all the families of the earth: therefore I will visite you for all your iniquities.
Indem er spricht: Nur euch habe ich von allen Geschlechtern der Erde erkannt; darum werde ich alle eure Missetaten an euch heimsuchen.
3 Can two walke together except they bee agreed?
Wandeln wohl zwei miteinander, es sei denn, daß sie übereingekommen sind?
4 Will a lion roare in ye forest, when he hath no pray? or wil a lions whelpe cry out of his den, if he haue taken nothing?
Brüllt der Löwe im Walde, wenn er keinen Raub hat? Läßt der junge Löwe seine Stimme aus seiner Höhle erschallen, außer wenn er einen Fang getan hat?
5 Can a birde fall in a snare vpon the earth, where no fouler is? or will he take vp the snare from the earth, and haue taken nothing at all?
Fällt der Vogel in die Schlinge am Boden, wenn ihm kein Sprenkel gelegt ist? Schnellt die Schlinge von der Erde empor, wenn sie gar nichts gefangen hat?
6 Or shall a trumpet be blowen in the citie, and the people be not afraide? or shall there be euil in a citie, and the Lord hath not done it?
Oder wird die Posaune in der Stadt geblasen, und das Volk sollte nicht erschrecken? Oder geschieht ein Unglück in der Stadt, und Jehova hätte es nicht bewirkt?
7 Surely the Lord God will doe nothing, but he reueileth his secrete vnto his seruantes the Prophets.
Denn der Herr, Jehova, tut nichts, es sei denn, daß er sein Geheimnis seinen Knechten, den Propheten, geoffenbart habe. -
8 The lyon hath roared: who will not bee afraide? the Lord God hath spoken: who can but prophecie?
Der Löwe hat gebrüllt, wer sollte sich nicht fürchten? Der Herr, Jehova, hat geredet, wer sollte nicht weissagen?
9 Proclayme in the palaces at Ashdod, and in the palaces in the lande of Egypt, and saye, Assemble your selues vpon the mountaines of Samaria: so beholde the great tumultes in the middes thereof, and the oppressed in the middes thereof.
Rufet über die Paläste in Asdod und über die Paläste im Lande Ägypten hin und sprechet: Versammelt euch auf den Bergen von Samaria, und sehet die große Verwirrung in seiner Mitte und die Bedrückungen in seinem Innern!
10 For they knowe not to doe right, sayth the Lord: they store vp violence, and robbery in their palaces.
Und sie wissen nicht zu tun, was recht ist, spricht Jehova, sie, welche Gewalttat und Zerstörung häufen in ihren Palästen.
11 Therefore thus saith the Lord God, An aduersary shall come euen rounde about the countrey, and shall bring downe thy strength from thee, and thy palaces shalbe spoyled.
Darum, so spricht der Herr, Jehova: Der Feind, und zwar rings um das Land her! Und er wird deine Macht von dir herabstürzen, und dein Paläste werden geplündert werden.
12 Thus saieth the Lord, As the shephearde taketh out of the mouth of the lyon two legges, or a piece of an eare: so shall the children of Israel be taken out that dwell in Samaria in the corner of a bed, and in Damascus, as in a couche.
So spricht Jehova: Gleichwie der Hirt zwei Beine oder einen Ohrzipfel aus dem Rachen des Löwen rettet, also werden gerettet werden die Kinder Israel, welche in Samaria in der Ecke des Polsters und auf dem Damaste des Ruhebettes sitzen. -
13 Heare, and testifie in the house of Iaakob, saith the Lord God, the God of hostes.
Höret und bezeuget es dem Hause Jakob, spricht der Herr, Jehova, der Gott der Heerscharen:
14 Surely in the day that I shall visit the transgressions of Israel vpon him, I wil also visite the altars of Beth-el, and the hornes of the altar shall be broken off, and fall to the ground.
An dem Tage, da ich Israels Übertretungen an ihm heimsuchen werde, werde ich auch die Altäre von Bethel heimsuchen; und die Hörner des Altars sollen abgehauen werden und zu Boden fallen.
15 And I wil smite the winter house with the sommer house, and the houses of yuorie shall perish, and the great houses shalbe consumed, sayth the Lord.
Und ich werde das Winterhaus zertrümmern samt dem Sommerhause; und die Elfenbeinhäuser werden zu Grunde gehen, die großen Häuser werden verschwinden, spricht Jehova.
