Amos 2

1 Thus sayth the Lord, For three transgressions of Moab, and for foure, I will not turne to it, because it burnt the bones of the King of Edom into lime.

Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Moab, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay gisunog niya ang mga bukog sa hari sa Edom nga nahimong apog.

2 Therefore will I send a fire vpon Moab, and it shall deuoure the palaces of Kerioth, and Moab shall die with tumult, with shouting, and with the sound of a trumpet.

Apan ibabaw sa Moab ipadala ko ang kalayo, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio sa Kiryot; ug ang Moab mamatay uban ang kaguliang, uban ang pagsinggit, ug ang tingog sa trompeta;

3 And I will cut off the iudge out of the mids thereof, and will slay all the princes thereof with him, sayth the Lord.

Ug pagaputlon ko ang maghuhukom gikan sa kinataliwad-an niana, ug pagapatyon ko ang tanang mga principe niana uban kaniya, nagaingon si Jehova.

4 Thus saith the Lord, For three transgressions of Iudah, and for foure, I will not turne to it, because they haue cast away the Lawe of the Lord, and haue not kept his commandementes, and their lies caused them to erre after the which their fathers haue walked.

Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Juda, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay sila nagsalikway sa Kasugoan ni Jehova, ug wala magbantay sa iyang kabalaoran, ug ang ilang kabakakan nakapasayup kanila, nga mao ang ginalaktan sa ilang mga amahan.

5 Therefore will I send a fire vpon Iudah, and it shall deuoure the palaces of Ierusalem.

Apan ibabaw sa Juda ipadala ko ang kalayo, ug kini magalamoy sa mga palacio sa Jerusalem.

6 Thus sayth the Lord, For three transgressions of Israel, and for foure, I will not turne to it, because they solde the righteous for siluer and the poore for shooes.

Mao kini ang giingon ni Jehova: Tungod sa totolo ka mga kalapasan sa Israel, oo, tungod sa upat, dili ko kuhaon ang silot niana; tungod kay gibaligya nila ang mga matarung tungod lamang sa salapi, ug ang hangul tungod lamang sa usa ka paris nga

7 They gape ouer the head of the poore, in the dust of the earth, and peruert the wayes of the meeke: and a man and his father will goe in to a mayde to dishonour mine holy Name.

Sila nga nangandoy sa abug sa yuta ibabaw sa ulo sa mga kabus, ug nagasalikway sa dalan sa mga maaghup: ug ang tawo ug ang iyang amahan miduol sa maong dalaga, aron sa pagpanamastamas sa akong balaan nga ngalan.

8 And they lye downe vpon clothes layde to pledge by euery altar: and they drinke the wine of the condemned in the house of their God.

Ug sila managhigda sa ilang kaugalingong kiliran sa tagsatagsa ka halaran ibabaw sa mga bisti sa mga kabus nga gipasalig; ug sa balay sa ilang Dios nanag-inum sa vino niadtong gipanagsilpian.

9 Yet destroyed I the Amorite before the, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the okes: notwithstanding I destroyed his fruite from aboue, and his roote from beneath.

Bisan pa niana gipatay ko ang Amorehanon sa ilang atubangan, kansang gitas-on ingon sa gitas-on sa mga cedro, ug siya kusganon ingon sa mga kahoy nga encina; ug gilaglag ko pa ang iyang mga bunga gikan sa itaas, ug ang iyang mga gamut gikan sa kinahiladman.

10 Also I brought you vp from the land of Egypt, and led you fourtie yeres thorowe the wildernesse, to possesse the land of the Amorite.

Ingon man usab gikuha ko kamo gikan sa yuta sa Egipto, ug gimandoan ko kamo didto sa kamingawan sulod sa kap-atan ka tuig, aron sa pagpanag-iya sa yuta sa Amorehanon.

11 And I raysed vp of your sonnes for Prophets, and of your yong men for Nazarites. Is it not euen thus, O ye children of Israel, sayth the Lord?

Ug ako nagmatuto sa inyong mga anak nga lalake aron mahimong mga manalagna, ug ang inyong mga batan-ong lalake aron mahimong mga Nazareo. Dili pa ba gayud kini igo, Oh kamo nga mga anak sa Israel? nagaingon si Jehova.

12 But ye gaue the Nazarites wine to drinke, and commanded the Prophetes, saying, Prophecie not.

Apan ang mga Nazareo inyong gipainum sa vino, ug nagsugo kamo sa mga manalagna nga nagaingon: Ayaw pagpanagna.

13 Behold, I am pressed vnder you as a cart is pressed that is full of sheaues.

Ania karon, pamigsaton ko kamo diha sa inyong dapit, ingon nga molagaak ang usa ka carromata nga napuno sa mga lulan nga binugkos.

14 Therefore the flight shall perish from the swift, and the strong shall not strengthen his force, neither shall the mightie saue his life.

Ug ang pagkalagiw mawala gikan sa tawong matulin; ug ang kusganon dili makapalig-on sa iyang kusog; ni makaluwas ang gamhanan sa iyang kaugalingon;

15 Nor he that handleth the bowe, shall stand, and he that is swift of foote, shall not escape, neyther shall he that rideth the horse, saue his life.

Ni makasukol kadtong nagagamit sa pana; ni makaluwas sa iyang kaugalingon kadtong matulin ug tiil; ni makaluwas sa iyang kaugalingon kadtong nagatungtong sa kabayo;

16 And he that is of a mighty courage among the strong men, shall flee away naked in that day, sayth the Lord.

Ug kadtong maisug sa taliwala sa mga kusganon modalagan nga hubo niadtong adlawa, nagaingon si Jehova.
