Acts 7
1 Then sayd the chiefe Priest, Are these things so?

2 And he sayd, Ye men, brethren and Fathers, hearken. That God of glory appeared vnto our father Abraham, while he was in Mesopotamia, before he dwelt in Charran,
Si Stefen mitubag, “Mga igsoon ug mga amahan, pamati kamo kanako: Ang Dios nga mahimayaon nagpakita sa atong amahan nga si Abraham kadtong atua siya sa Mesopotamia, sa wala pa siya nagpuyo sa Haran;
3 And said vnto him, Come out of thy countrey, and from thy kindred, and come into the land, which I shall shewe thee.
miingon siya kaniya, “Pagbiya sa imong yuta ug kaparyentihan, ug lakaw ngadto sa dapit nga akong ipakita kanimo.
4 Then came he out of the land of the Chaldeans, and dwelt in Charran. And after that his father was dead, God brought him from thence into this land, wherein ye now dwell,
Busa mibiya siya sa yuta sa taga-Caldaean ug nagpuyo sa Haran; gikan didto, human mamatay ang iyang amahan, gidala siya sa Dios niining yutaa, diin kamo nakapuyo karon.
5 And hee gaue him none inheritance in it, no, not the bredth of a foote: yet he promised that he would giue it to him for a possession, and to his seede after him, when as yet hee had no childe.
Wala siyay gihatag nga panulondon kaniya, wala, bisan igo lang nga matindogan sa tiil. Apan siya nagsaad— bisan ug si Abraham wala pa gayoy anak—nga iyang ihatag ang yuta isip usa ka panag-iyahon alang kaniya ug sa iyang kaliwatan nga mosunod kaniya.
6 But God spake thus, that his seede should be a soiourner in a strange land: and that they should keepe it in bondage, and entreate it euill foure hundreth yeeres.
Ang Dios nakigsulti kaniya sama niini nga paagi, nga ang iyang kaliwatan mopuyo sa mubo nga panahon sa langyaw nga yuta, ug ang mga lumulupyo didto pagahimuon silang ulipon ug motagad kanila ug dili maayo sulod sa 400 ka tuig.
7 But the nation to whome they shall be in bondage, will I iudge, sayth God: and after that, they shall come forth and serue me in this place.
'Ug akong pagahukman ang nasod diin sila mahimong mga ulipon,' miingon ang Dios, 'ug pagkahuman niana sila mogawas ug mosimba kanako niining dapita.'
8 Hee gaue him also the couenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begate Isaac, and circumcised him the eight day: and Isaac begate Iacob, and Iacob the twelue Patriarkes.
Ug gihatag niya kang Abraham ang kasabotan sa pagtuli, busa si Abraham nahimong amahan ni Isaac ug gituli niya siya sa ikawalo nga adlaw; Si Isaac nahimong amahan ni Jacob, ug si Jacob amahan sa dose ka patriarka.
9 And the Patriarkes moued with enuie, solde Ioseph into Egypt: but God was with him,
Ang patriarka gidumalahan sa ilang kasina batok kang Jose ug gibaligya siya sa Ehipto, ug ang Dios miuban kaniya,
10 And deliuered him out of all his afflictions, and gaue him fauour and wisdome in the sight of Pharao King of Egypt, who made him gouernour ouer Egypt, and ouer his whole house.
giluwas siya sa tanan niyang kalisdanan, ug gihatagan siya ug pinasahi nga pagtagad ug kaalam sa atubangan sa Paraon, nga hari sa Ehipto. Gihimo siya sa Paraon nga gobernador sa Ehipto ug sa tibuok niyang panimalay.
11 Then came there a famine ouer all the land of Egypt and Chanaan, and great affliction, that our fathers found no sustenance.
Unya miabot ang kagutom ug dakong kalisdanan sa tibuok Ehipto ug Canaan: ug ang atong mga amahan walay nakaplagan nga pagkaon.
12 But when Iacob heard that there was corne in Egypt, he sent our fathers first:
Apan sa dihang nakadungog si Jacob nga adunay trigo sa Ehipto, gipadala niya sa unang higayon ang atong mga katigulangan.
13 And at the second time, Ioseph was knowen of his brethren, and Iosephs kindred was made knowen vnto Pharao.
Sa ikaduha nga higayon, nagpaila na sa iyang kaugalingon si Jose sa iyang mga igsoon; ug nailhan sa Paraon ang pamilya ni Jose.
14 Then sent Ioseph and caused his father to be brought, and all his kindred, euen threescore and fifteene soules.
Gipapauli ni Jose ang iyang mga igsoon aron sultihan si Jacob, ang iyang amahan, nga moadto sa Ehipto, kauban ang iyang mga paryente, 75 ka tawo tanan.
15 So Iacob went downe into Egypt, and he dyed, and our fathers,
Mao nga si Jacob milugsong sa Ehipto; unya siya namatay, siya ug lakip na ang atong mga katigulangan.
16 And were remoued into Sychem, and were put in the sepulchre, that Abraham had bought for money of the sonnes of Emor, sonne of Sychem.
Gidala sila sa Shechem ug gibutang sa lubnganan nga napalit ni Abraham sa plata nga kantidad gikan sa mga anak ni Hamor sa Shechem.
17 But when the time of the promise drewe neere, which God had sworne to Abraham, the people grewe and multiplied in Egypt,
Samtang ang panahon sa gisaad nagkaduol na sama sa gisaad sa Dios kang Abraham, ang mga tawo midako ug nanaghan sa Ehipto,
18 Till another King arose, which knewe not Ioseph.
hangtod nga adunay mitungha nga laing hari sa Ehipto, usa ka hari nga wala makaila kang Jose.
19 The same dealt subtilly with our kindred, and euill entreated our fathers, and made them to cast out their yong children, that they should not remaine aliue.
Kini nga hari gilimbongan ang atong katawhan ug gidaogdaog ang atong mga katigulangan, gipanglabay nila ang ilang mga gagmayng bata aron dili sila mabuhi.
20 The same time was Moses borne, and was acceptable vnto God, which was nourished vp in his fathers house three moneths.
Niana nga panahon si Moises natawo; siya ambungan gayod kaayo atubangan sa Dios ug giatiman sa tulo ka bulan sa puloy-anan sa iyang amahan.
21 And when he was cast out, Pharaohs daughter tooke him vp, and nourished him for her owne sonne.
Sa dihang gilabay siya sa gawas, gikuha siya sa anak nga babaye sa Paraon ug giatiman siya ingon nga iyang anak.
22 And Moses was learned in all the wisdome of the Egyptians, and was mightie in wordes and in deedes.
Natudloan si Moises sa tanan nga nahibaw-an sa mga Ehiptohanon; ug siya gamhanan sa iyang mga pulong ug mga buhat.
23 Nowe when he was full fourtie yeere olde, it came into his heart to visite his brethren, the children of Israel.
Apan pagtungtong niya sa edad nga 40, miabot sa iyang kasingkasing nga susihon ang kahimtang sa iyang mga kaigsoonan, ang mga anak sa Israel.
24 And whe he saw one of them suffer wrong, he defended him, and auenged his quarell that had the harme done to him, and smote the Egyptian.
Pagkakita ni Moises nga gidaogdaog ang usa ka Israelita, gipanalipdan niya kini ug gipanimaslan gikan sa Ehiptohanon nga maoy nagdaogdaog pinaagi sa pagpuspus niini:
25 For hee supposed his brethren would haue vnderstand, that God by his hande should giue them deliuerance: but they vnderstoode it not.
naghunahuna siya nga ang iyang mga kaigsoonan makasabot nga giluwas sila sa Dios pinaagi sa iyang kamot, apan wala sila makasabot.
26 And the next day, he shewed himselfe vnto them as they stroue, and woulde haue set them at one againe, saying, Syrs, ye are brethren: why doe ye wrong one to another?
Sa sunod nga adlaw miduol siya sa mga Israelita samtang sila nag-away; gisulayan niya sila ug husay; miingon siya, 'Mga sir, managsoon kamo; nganong buhatan man ninyo ug sayop ang usag usa?'
27 But he that did his neighbour wrong, thrust him away, saying, Who made thee a prince, and a iudge ouer vs?
Apan ang usa nga maoy nakabuhat ug sayop sa iyang silingan gituklod siya, ug miingon, 'Kinsa ang naghatag kanimo ug katungod nga magmando ug maghukom kanamo?
28 Wilt thou kill mee, as thou diddest the Egyptian yesterday?
Buot ba nimong patyon ako, sama sa pagpatay nimo sa Ehiptohanon kagahapon?'
29 Then fled Moses at that saying, and was a stranger in the land of Madian, where he begate two sonnes.
Nibiya si Moises palayo human niya kini madungog; nahimo siyang langyaw sa yuta sa Midian, diin siya nahimong amahan sa duha ka anak nga lalaki.
30 And when fourtie yeres were expired, there appeared to him in the wildernes of mout Sina, an Angel of the Lord in a flame of fire, in a bush.
Paglabay sa 40 ka tuig, adunay usa ka anghel nga mipakita kaniya sa kamingawan sa Bungtod sa Sinai, sa usa ka nagdilaab nga kalayo sa gamay nga kahoy.
31 And when Moses sawe it, hee wondred at the sight: and as he drew neere to consider it, the voyce of the Lord came vnto him, saying,
Pagkakita ni Moises sa kalayo, natingala siya sa iyang nakita; sa dihang giduol niya kini ug gisusi, ang tingog sa Ginoo miingon,
32 I am the God of thy fathers, the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Iacob. Then Moses trembled, and durst not behold it.
'Ako ang Dios sa imong mga amahan, ang Dios ni Abraham, ni Isaac, ug ni Jacob.' Nangurog si Moises ug wala gayod siya nisulay ug tan-aw.
33 Then the Lord said to him, Put off thy shoes from thy feete: for the place where thou standest, is holy ground.
Ang Ginoo misulti kaniya, 'Huboa ang imong sandalyas, kay kining dapit nga imong gibarogan balaan.
34 I haue seene, I haue seene the affliction of my people, which is in Egypt, and I haue heard their groning, and am come downe to deliuer them: and nowe come, and I will sende thee into Egypt.
Nakita ko na gayod ang kalisdanan sa akong katawhan nga atua sa Ehipto; Nadungog ko ang ilang pag-agulo, ug mikanaog ako aron luwason sila; mao nga duol ngari, kay ipadala ko ikaw sa Ehipto.'
35 This Moses whome they forsooke, saying, Who made thee a prince and a iudge? the same God sent for a prince, and a deliuerer by the hand of the Angel, which appeared to him in the bush.
Kining Moises nga ilang gisalikway, sa dihang sila miingon nga, 'Kinsa ang naghimo kanimo nga mahimong usa ka magmamando ug usa ka maghuhukom?'—siya ang gipadala sa Dios nga mangulo ug moluwas. Gipadala siya pinaagi sa kamot sa anghel nga nagpakita kang Moises sa gamay nga kahoy.
36 Hee brought them out, doing wonders, and miracles in the land of Egypt, and in the red sea, and in the wildernes fourtie yeeres.
Nangulo kanila si Moises pagawas sa Ehipto, pagkahuman niya ug buhat ug mga milagro ug ilhanan sa Ehipto, sa Pula nga Dagat, ug sa kamingawan sa sulod sa 40 ka tuig.
37 This is that Moses, which saide vnto the children of Israel, A Prophet shall the Lord your God raise vp vnto you, euen of your brethren, like vnto me: him shall ye heare.
Mao usab kini ang Moises nga miingon sa katawhan sa Israel, 'Magpabarog ang Dios ug usa ka propeta alang kaninyo gikan sa inyong mga kaigsoonan, usa ka propeta sama kanako.'
38 This is he that was in the Congregation, in the wildernes with the Angell, which spake to him in mount Sina, and with our fathers, who receiued the liuely oracles to giue vnto vs.
Kini mao ang tawo nga anaa sa panagtigom sa kamingawan kauban ang mga anghel nga nakigsulti kaniya sa Bungtod sa Sinai. Kini mao ang tawo nga kauban sa atong katigulangan; kining tawhana ang nakadawat ug buhing mga pulong aron ipadayag kanato.
39 To whom our fathers would not obey, but refused, and in their hearts turned backe againe into Egypt:
Kini mao ang tawo nga wala gisunod sa atong mga katigulangan; Ilaha siyang gituklod palayo kanila, ug ang ilang kasingkasing nibalik ngadto sa Ehipto.
40 Saying vnto Aaron, Make vs gods that may goe before vs: for we knowe not what is become of this Moses that brought vs out of the land of Egypt.
Nianang panahona miingon sila kang Aaron, 'Himoi kami ug diosdios nga mangulo kanamo. Kini nga Moises, nga maoy nangulo sa atong kagawasan sa Ehipto, wala na kami makabalo kung unsa ang nahitabo kaniya.'
41 And they made a calfe in those dayes, and offered sacrifice vnto the idole, and reioyced in the workes of their owne handes.
Mao nga naghimo sila ug nating baka niadtong panahona ug nagdala ug halad sa diosdios, unya naglipay tungod sa binuhat sa ilang mga kamot.
42 Then God turned himselfe away, and gaue them vp to serue the host of heauen, as it is written in the booke of the Prophets, O house of Israel, haue ye offred to me slaine beasts and sacrifices by the space of fourtie yeres in the wildernes?
Apan ang Dios mibiya ug gitugyan sila nga moalagad sa binuhat sa langit; ingon sa nahisulat sa libro sa mga propeta, 'Naghalad ba kamo kanako ug gipatay nga mapintas nga mananap ug uban pang mga halad sulod sa 40 ka tuig sa kamingawan, panimalay sa Israel?
43 And ye tooke vp the tabernacle of Moloch, and the starre of your god Remphan, figures, which ye made to worship them: therefore I will carie you away beyond Babylon.
Gidawat ninyo ang tolda ni Molec ug ang bituon sa diosdios nga si Repan, ug ang mga larawan nga inyong gibuhat aron mosimba kanila: Ug dalhon ko kamo saylo pa sa Babilonia.'
44 Our fathers had the tabernacle of witnes, in the wildernes, as hee had appointed, speaking vnto Moses, that he should make it according to the fashion that he had seene.
Ang atong mga katigulangan adunay tolda sa pagpamatuod sa kamingawan, sama sa gimando sa Dios sa dihang nakig-istorya siya kang Moises, nga kinahanglan niyang buhaton kini sama sa iyang nakita.
45 Which tabernacle also our fathers receiued, and brought in with Iesus into the possession of the Gentiles, which God draue out before our fathers, vnto the dayes of Dauid:
Kini mao ang balongbalong nga gidala sa atong katigulangan sa atong yuta pinaagi kang Josue. Kini nahitabo sa dihang sila misulod sa tanang gipanag-iyahan sa maong mga nasod, nga gipapahawa sa Dios atubangan sa atong mga katigulangan. Sama kini niini hangtod sa kapanahonan ni David,
46 Who found fauour before God, and desired that hee might finde a tabernacle for the God of Iacob.
nga nakakaplag ug kaluoy sa mata sa Dios; nangayo siya ug usa ka puloy-anan alang sa Dios ni Jacob.
47 But Salomon built him an house.
Apan gibuhatan ni Solomon ug balay ang Dios.
48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with handes, as saith the Prophet,
Ngani, ang Labing Halangdon wala magpuyo sa mga balay nga binuhat lamang sa mga kamot; sama sa giingon sa propeta,
49 Heauen is my throne, and earth is my footestoole: what house wil ye build for me, saith the Lord? or what place is it that I should rest in?
'Ang langit ang akong trono, ug ang yuta ang tumbanan sa akong tiil. Unsa nga matang sa balay ang imong matukod alang kanako? miingon ang Ginoo: O diin man ang dapit nga ako makapahulay?
50 Hath not mine hand made all these things?
Dili ba ang akong kaugalingong kamot man ang nagbuhat niining mga butanga?'
51 Ye stiffenecked and of vncircumcised heartes and eares, ye haue alwayes resisted the holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do you.
Kamong mga tawo nga gahi ug liog ug wala natuli ang kasingkasing ug dalunggan, kanunay kamong nagdumili sa Balaang Espiritu; sama lamang ang inyong binuhatan sa binuhatan sa inyong mga katigulangan.
52 Which of the Prophets haue not your fathers persecuted? and they haue slaine them, which shewed before of the comming of that Iust, of whome ye are now the betrayers and murtherers,
Kinsa sa mga propeta ang wala gilutos sa inyong mga katigulangan? Gipatay nila ang propeta nga miabot sa wala pa niabot ang Usa ka Matarong; ug kamo nahimo na usab nga magbubudhi ug mamumuno kaniya,
53 Which haue receiued the Lawe by the ordinance of Angels, and haue not kept it.
kamong mga tawo nga nakadawat sa balaod nga gipatukod sa mga anghel, apan wala ninyo kini gitipigan.”
54 But when they heard these thinges, their heartes brast for anger, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.
Karon sa dihang nakadungog ang mga miyembro sa konseho niining mga butanga, nahiwa ilang kasingkasing, ug mikagot sa ilang mga ngipon ngadto kang Stefen.
55 But he being full of the holy Ghost, looked stedfastly into heauen, and sawe the glory of God, and Iesus standing at the right hand of God,
Apan siya, nga puno sa Balaang Espiritu, mihangad sa langit ug nakita ang himaya sa Dios; ug iyang nakita si Jesus nga nagtindog sa tuo nga kamot sa Dios.
56 And said, Beholde, I see the heauens open, and the Sonne of man standing at the right hand of God.
Miingon si Stefen, “Tan-awa, nakita ko ang langit nga naabli, ug ang Anak sa Tawo nagtindog sa tuo nga kamot sa Dios.”
57 Then they gaue a shoute with a loude voyce, and stopped their eares, and ranne vpon him violently all at once,
Apan ang mga miyembro sa konseho misinggit sa makusog, ug nanampong sa ilang mga dalunggan, unya dalidali nga miduol kaniya;
58 And cast him out of the citie, and stoned him: and the witnesses layd downe their clothes at a yong mans feete, named Saul.
gipapahawa nila siya pagawas sa siyudad ug gibato: ug gipamutang sa mga saksi ang ilang panggawas nga mga sinina sa tiilan sa batan-ong lalaki nga ginganlan ug Saulo.
59 And they stoned Steuen, who called on God, and said, Lord Iesus, receiue my spirit.
Samtang gibato nila si Stefen, nagsangpit siya sa Dios ug miingon, “Ginoong Jesus, dawata ang akong espiritu.”
60 And he kneeled downe, and cried with a loude voyce, Lord, laye not this sinne to their charge. And when he had thus spoken, he slept.
Miluhod siya ug misangpit sa makusog nga tingog, “Ginoo, ayaw sila pakasad-a niining mga butanga.” samtang gisulti niya kini, natulog siya.
