Acts 20

1 Nowe after the tumult was appeased, Paul called the disciples vnto him, and embraced them, and departed to goe into Macedonia.

१जेव्हा गोंधळ थांबला, तेव्हा पौलाने येशूच्या अनुयायांना भेटायला बोलावले आणि त्यांना उत्तेजन दिल्यानंतर त्यांचा निरोप घेतला आणि तो मासेदोनियाला निघाला.

2 And when hee had gone through those parts, and had exhorted them with many words, he came into Grecia.

२मासेदोनियातून जात असताना निरनिराळ्या ठिकाणी असलेल्या येशूच्या अनुयायांना त्याने अनेक गोष्टी सांगून धीर दिला, मग पौल ग्रीसला आला.

3 And hauing taried there three moneths, because the Iewes layde waite for him, as hee was about to saile into Syria, hee purposed to returne through Macedonia.

३त्याठिकाणी तो तीन महिने राहिला, पौल सिरीया प्रांताला समुद्रमार्गे निघाला असता, यहूदी लोकांनी त्याच्याविरुध्द कट रचला, हे पाहून त्याने मासेदोनियातून परत फिरण्याचे ठरवले.

4 And there accompanied him into Asia, Sopater of Berea, and of them of Thessalonica, Aristarchus, and Secundus, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus, and of them of Asia, Tychicus, and Trophimus.

४त्याच्याबरोबर काही लोक होते ते असेः बिरुया नगराच्या पुर्राचा मुलगा सोपत्र, थेस्सलनीका येथील अरिस्तार्ख व सकुंद, दर्बे येथील गायस आणि तीमथ्य, तुखिक व त्रफिम हे आशिया प्रांतातील होते.

5 These went before, and taried vs at Troas.

५ही माणसे आमच्यापुढे गेली व त्रोवस शहरात आमची वाट पाहू लागली.

6 And we sailed forth from Philippi, after the dayes of vnleauened bread, and came vnto them to Troas in fiue dayes, where we abode seuen dayes.

६बेखमीर भाकरीच्या यहूदी सणानंतर आम्ही फिलीप्पै येथून समुद्रमार्गे निघालो आणि पाच दिवसानी त्रोवस येथे त्यांना जाऊन भेटलो व तेथे सात दिवस राहिलो.

7 And the first day of the weeke, the disciples being come together to breake bread, Paul preached vnto them, ready to depart on the morrow, and continued the preaching vnto midnight.

७मग आठवड्याच्या पहिल्या दिवशी आम्ही सर्व भाकर मोडण्यासाठी एकत्र जमलो असताना, पौल त्यांच्याबरोबर बोलू लागला कारण दुसऱ्या दिवशी निघण्याचा त्याचा बेत होता, तो मध्यरात्रीपर्यंत बोलत राहीला.

8 And there were many lightes in an vpper chamber, where they were gathered together.

८माडीवरच्या ज्या खोलीत आम्ही जमा झालो होतो तेथे पुष्कळ दिवे होते.

9 And there sate in a windowe a certaine yong man, named Eutychus, fallen into a dead sleepe: and as Paul was long preaching, hee ouercome with sleepe, fell downe from the thirde loft, and was taken vp dead.

९युतुख नावाचा एक तरुण खिडकीत बसला होता, पौल बोलत असताना त्याच्यावर झोपेचा इतका अंमल चढला की, तो तिसऱ्या मजल्यावरून खाली पडला, जेव्हा त्यास उचलले, तेव्हा तो मरण पावलेला आढळला.

10 But Paul went downe, and layde himselfe vpon him, and embraced him, saying, Trouble not your selues: for his life is in him.

१०पौल खाली गेला व त्याच्यावर ओणवा पडला आणि त्यास आपल्या हातांनी कवेत धरून म्हणाला, “चिंता करू नका! त्याच्यात अजून जीव आहे.”

11 Then when Paul was come vp againe, and had broken bread, and eaten, hauing spoken a long while till the dawning of the day, hee so departed.

११मग पौल वर गेला, त्यांने भाकर मोडली व ती खाल्ली, पहाट होईपर्यंत तो त्यांच्याशी बोलला, मग तो गेला.

12 And they brought the boye aliue, and they were not a litle comforted.

१२त्या तरुणाला त्यांनी जिवंत असे घरी नेले, त्या सर्वांना फार समाधान झाले.

13 Then we went before to shippe, and sailed vnto the citie Assos, that wee might receiue Paul there: for so had hee appointed, and would himselfe goe afoote.

१३तेथून आम्ही पुढे निघालो व अस्सा या नगरी समुद्रमार्गे निघालो, तेथे आम्ही पौलाला घेणार होतो, त्यानेच अशाप्रकारे योजना केली होती, ती म्हणजे त्याने स्वतः पायी जायचे.

14 Now when he was come vnto vs to Assos, and we had receiued him, we came to Mitylenes.

१४जेव्हा आम्हास तो अस्सा येथे भेटला, तेव्हा आम्ही त्यास जहजात घेतले आणि आम्ही मितुलेनेशहरास गेलो.

15 And wee sailed thence, and came the next day ouer against Chios, and the next day we arriued at Samos, and tarried at Trogyllium: the next day we came to Miletum.

१५दुसऱ्या दिवशी आम्ही जहाजाने मितुलेनाहून निघालो व खियास बेटावर आलो, मग दुसऱ्या दिवशी सामा बेट ओलांडले आणि एक दिवसानंतर मिलेत शहरास आलो.

16 For Paul had determined to saile by Ephesus, because hee woulde not spend the time in Asia: for he hasted to be, if hee could possible, at Hierusalem, at the day of Pentecost.

१६कारण पौलाने ठरवले होते की इफिस येथे थांबायचे नाही, आशियात त्यास जास्त वेळ थांबायचे नव्हते, तो घाई करीत होता कारण शक्य झाल्यास पन्नासाव्या दिवसाच्या सणासाठी त्यास यरूशलेम शहरात रहावयास हवे होते.

17 Wherefore from Miletum, hee sent to Ephesus, and called the Elders of the Church.

१७मिलेताहून इफिस येथे निरोप पाठवून पौलाने तेथील मंडळीच्या वडीलजनांना बोलावून घेतले.

18 Who when they were come to him, hee said vnto them, Ye know from the first day that I came into Asia, after what maner I haue bene with you at all seasons,

१८जेव्हा ते आले, तेव्हा तो त्यांना म्हणाला, आशियात आलो त्या दिवसापासून मी तुमच्या सोबत असताना कसा राहिलो हे तुम्हास माहीत आहे.

19 Seruing the Lord with all modestie, and with many teares, and tentations, which came vnto me by the layings awaite of the Iewes,

१९मी प्रभूची सेवा पूर्ण नम्रतेने व रडून केली, यहूदी लोकांनी केलेल्या कटामुळे निर्माण झालेल्या उपद्रवांना तोंड देत मी त्याची सेवा केली.

20 And how I kept backe nothing that was profitable, but haue shewed you, and taught you openly and throughout euery house,

२०जे काही तुमच्या चांगल्यासाठी होते ते तुम्हास सांगण्यासाठी कोणतीही कसर ठेवली नाही, हे तुम्हास माहीत आहे आणि या गोष्टी जाहीरपणे व घराघरातून सांगण्यासाठी मी कधीही मागेपुढे पाहिले नाही.

21 Witnessing both to the Iewes, and to the Grecians the repentance towarde God, and faith toward our Lord Iesus Christ.

२१पश्चात्ताप करून देवाकडे वळण्याविषयी आणि आपल्या प्रभू येशूवरील विश्वासाविषयी यहूदी व ग्रीक लोकांस सारखीच साक्ष दिली.

22 And nowe beholde, I goe bound in the Spirit vnto Hierusalem, and know not what things shall come vnto me there,

२२आणि आता आत्म्याच्या आज्ञेने यरूशलेम शहरास चाललो आहे आणि तेथे माझ्याबाबतीत काय घडेल हे माहीत नाही.

23 Saue that ye holy Ghost witnesseth in euery citie, saying, that bondes and afflictions abide me.

२३मला फक्त एकच गोष्ट माहीत आहे की प्रत्येक शहरात पवित्र आत्मा मला सावध करतो, तुरुंगवास व संकटे माझी वाट पाहत आहेत हे तो मला सांगतो.

24 But I passe not at all, neither is my life deare vnto my selfe, so that I may fulfill my course with ioye, and the ministration which I haue receiued of the Lord Iesus, to testifie the Gospell of the grace of God.

२४मी माझ्या जीवनाविषयी काळजी करीत नाही, सर्वात महत्त्वाची गोष्ट म्हणजे मी माझे काम पूर्ण करणे, प्रभू येशूने जे काम मला दिले ते मला पूर्ण करायला पाहिजे ते काम म्हणजे देवाच्या कृपेबद्दल ची सुवार्ता लोकांस सांगितली पाहिजे.

25 And now behold, I know that henceforth ye all, through whome I haue gone preaching the kingdome of God, shall see my face no more.

२५राज्याची घोषणा करीत ज्या लोकात मी फिरलो त्या तुम्हातील कोणालाही मी पुन्हा कधीही दिसणार नाही हे आता मला माहीत आहे.

26 Wherefore I take you to recorde this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.

२६म्हणून मी तुम्हास जाहीरपणे सांगतो की, सर्वांच्या रक्तासंबंधाने मी निर्दोष असा आहे.

27 For I haue kept nothing backe, but haue shewed you all the counsell of God.

२७देवाची संपूर्ण इच्छा काय आहे हे प्रकट करण्यास मी कधीही मागेपुढे पाहिलेले नाही.

28 Take heede therefore vnto your selues, and to all the flocke, whereof the holy Ghost hath made you Ouerseers, to feede the Church of God, which hee hath purchased with that his owne blood.

२८तुमची स्वतःची व देवाच्या सर्व लोकांची, ज्याना देवाने तुम्हास दिलेले आहे, त्यांची काळजी घ्या, कळपाची काळजी घेण्याचे काम पवित्र आत्म्याने तुम्हास दिलेले आहे, तुम्ही मंडळीसाठी मेंढपाळासारखे असले पाहिजे, ही मंडळी देवाने स्वतःचे रक्त देऊन विकत घेतली.

29 For I knowe this, that after my departing shall grieuous wolues enter in among you, not sparing the flocke.

२९मला माहीत आहे की, मी गेल्यावर तुमच्यामध्ये भयंकर असे दुष्ट लांडगे येतील, ते कळपाला सोडणार नाहीत.

30 Moreouer of your owne selues shall men arise speaking peruerse thinges, to drawe disciples after them.

३०तुमच्यामधूनसुद्धा लोक उठून शिष्यांना, चुकीचे असे शिकवून आपल्यामागे घेऊन जातील.

31 Therefore watche, and remember, that by the space of three yeres I ceased not to warne euery one, both night and day with teares.

३१यासाठी सावध राहा, तुम्हातील प्रत्येकाला गेले तीन वर्षे डोळ्यांत अश्रू आणून सावध करण्याचे मी कधीच थांबविले नाही हे आठवा.

32 And nowe brethren, I commend you to God, and to the worde of his grace, which is able to build further, and to giue you an inheritance, among all them, which are sanctified.

३२आणि आता मी तुम्हास देवाच्या व वचनाच्या कृपेच्या अधीन करतो, जी तुमची वाढ करण्यासाठी समर्थ आहे व सर्व पवित्र केलेल्यांमध्ये वतन द्यावयाला समर्थ आहे.

33 I haue coueted no mans siluer, nor gold, nor apparell.

३३मी कोणाच्याही सोन्याचा, चांदीचा व कपड्यांचा लोभ धरला नाही.

34 Yea, ye knowe, that these handes haue ministred vnto my necessities, and to them that were with me.

३४मी आपल्या स्वतःच्या व माझ्याबरोबर राहणाऱ्यांच्या गरजा माझ्या हातांनी भागविल्या हे तुम्हास चांगले माहीत आहे.

35 I haue shewed you all things, howe that so labouring, ye ought to support the weake, and to remember the wordes of the Lord Iesus, howe that hee saide, It is a blessed thing to giue, rather then to receiue.

३५अशा रीतीने मी तुम्हास उदाहरण घालू दिले आहे की जे दुर्बल आहेत अशांना आपण स्वतः मेहनत करून मदत केली पाहिजे व प्रभू येशूचे शब्द लक्षात ठेवले पाहिजेत, तो स्वतः म्हणाला, “घेण्यापेक्षा देणे अधिक धन्यतेचे आहे.”

36 And when he had thus spoken, he kneeled downe, and prayed with them all.

३६आणि हे बोलल्यावर पौलाने गुडघे टेकले आणि प्रार्थना केली.

37 Then they wept all abundantly, and fell on Pauls necke, and kissed him,

३७तेव्हा प्रत्येकाला खूपच रडू आले, ते पौलाच्या गळ्यात पडले व त्याचे मुके घेत राहिले.

38 Being chiefly sorie for the words which he spake, That they should see his face no more. And they accompanied him vnto the shippe.

३८ते पुन्हा त्यास कधीही पाहू शकणार नाहीत, या वाक्याने त्यांना फार दुःख झाले, मग ते त्यास जहाजापर्यंत निरोप देण्यास गेले.
