Acts 13
1 There were also in the Church that was at Antiochia, certaine Prophets and teachers, as Barnabas, and Simeon called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manahen (which had bin brought vp with Herod the Tetrarche) and Saul.
एन्टिओखियाको सभामा त्यहाँ केही अगमवक्ताहरू र शिक्षकहरू थिए । तिनीहरूमा बारनाबास, सिमियोन (जसलाई नाइजर भनिन्थ्यो), कुरेनीका लुसियस मनेन (जो पालनपोषण गरेर हेरोदसँगै हुर्किएका भाइ) र शाऊल थिए ।
2 Nowe as they ministred to the Lord, and fasted, the holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul, for the worke whereunto I haue called them.
जब तिनीहरू उपवाससहित आराधना गरिरहेका थिए, पवित्र आत्माले भन्नुभयो, “शाऊल र बारनाबासलाई मेरो निम्ति अलग गर जुन काम गर्नका निम्ति मैले तिनीहरूलाई बोलाएको छु ।”
3 Then fasted they and prayed, and layde their hands on them, and let them goe.
सभाले उपवास प्रार्थना गरिसकेपछि, र तिनीहरूले यी मानिसहरूमाथि हातहरू राखेर प्रार्थना गरे र उनीहरूलाई पठाइदिए ।
4 And they, after they were sent foorth of the holy Ghost, came downe vnto Seleucia, and from thence they sayled to Cyprus.
त्यसकारण पवित्र आत्माको आज्ञा शाऊल र बारनाबासले माने र तल सिलुसियामा गए, अनि त्यहाँबाट जहाज चढी साइप्रसको टापुतिर गए ।
5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the worde of God in the Synagogues of the Iewes: and they had also Iohn to their minister.
सलामिस सहरमा हुँदा, उनीहरूले यहूदीहरूको सभाघरमा वचन घोषणा गरे र सहायताका लागि यूहन्ना मर्कूस पनि उनीहरूसँगै थिए ।
6 So when they had gone throughout the yle vnto Paphus, they found a certaine sorcerer, a false prophet, being a Iewe, named Bariesus,
उनीहरू पुरै टापु पार गरेर पाफोस पुगेपछि एक जना जादुगर यहूदी झुटा अगमवक्तालाई भेट्टाए, जसको नाउँ बार येशू थियो ।
7 Which was with the Deputie Sergius Paulus, a prudent man. He called vnto him Barnabas and Saul, and desired to heare the woorde of God.
यो जादुगर त्यहाँको प्रान्तीय शासक सर्गियस पौलससँग सम्बन्धित थियो, जो एक विद्वान मानिस थिए । उनले शाऊल र बारनाबासलाई बोलाए किनभने तिनी परमेश्वरको वचन सुन्न चाहन्थे ।
8 But Elymas, ye sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstoode them, and sought to turne away the Deputie from the faith.
तर इलुमास, ‘‘जादुगर’’ ले तिनीहरूको विरोध गर्यो (यसरी नै उसको नाउँ अनुवाद गरिन्छ); उसले प्रान्तीय शासक सर्गियस पौलसलाई विश्वासबाट फर्काउन प्रयास गर्यो ।
9 Then Saul (which also is called Paul) being full of the holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
तर शाऊल जसलाई पावल पनि भनिन्छ, पवित्र आत्माले भरिएर, उसलाई एकटक लाएर हेरे
10 And sayde, O full of all subtiltie and all mischiefe, the childe of the deuill, and enemie of all righteousnesse, wilt thou not cease to peruert the straight waies of the Lord?
र भने, तँ शैतानको छोरो, तँ छल र दुष्टताले भरिएको छस् । तँ हरेक प्रकारको धार्मिकताको शत्रु होस् । तैले प्रभुको सोझो बाटोलाई बड्ग्याउन कहिल्यै छोड्दैनस्, छोड्छस् र?
11 Nowe therefore behold, the hand of the Lord is vpon thee, and thou shalt be blinde, and not see the sunne for a season. And immediately there fel on him a mist and a darknes; and he went about, seeking some to leade him by the hand.
अब हेर्, प्रभुको हात तँमाथि परेको छ र तँ अन्धो हुनेछस् । केही समयका लागि तैँले घाम देख्ने छैनस् ।’’ तुरुन्तै त्यहाँ बाक्लो तुवाँलो र अन्धकारले एलुमासलाई ढाक्यो र हात समातेर डोर्याइदिऊन् भन्दै यताउति मानिसहरूलाई आग्रह गर्न थाल्यो ।
12 Then the Deputie when he sawe what was done, beleeued, and was astonied at the doctrine of the Lord.
प्रान्तीय शासकले जे भएको थियो त्यो देखेपछि उनले विश्वास गरे, किनभने उनी प्रभुको शिक्षाबारे चकित भएका थिए ।
13 Nowe when Paul and they that were with him were departed by shippe from Paphus, they came to Perga a citie of Pamphylia: then Iohn departed from them, and returned to Hierusalem.
अब त्यसपछि पावल र उनका साथीहरू पाफोसबाट पानीजहाजमा चढी पाम्फिलियाको पर्गामा आए । तर यूहन्नाले उनीहरूलाई छोडेर यरूशलेमतिर फर्के ।
14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antiochia a citie of Pisidia, and went into the Synagogue on ye Sabbath day, and sate downe.
पावल र उनका साथीहरू पर्गाबाट यात्रा गर्दै पिसिदियाको एन्टीओखियामा आइपुगे। त्यहाँ उनीहरू विश्राम दिनमा सभा घरमा गए र बसे ।
15 And after the lecture of the Law and Prophets, the rulers of ye Synagogue sent vnto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye haue any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
अनि व्यवस्था र अगमवक्ताहरूका पुस्तक पढिसकेपछि सभाघरका अगुवाहरूले उनीहरूलाई यसो भनेर सन्देश पठाए, “भाइहरू हो, यदि तपाईंहरूसँग यहाँ भएका मानिसहरूको निम्ति कुनै उत्साहको सन्देश छ भने भन्नुहोस् ।”
16 Then Paul stoode vp and beckened with the hand, and sayde, Men of Israel, and yee that feare God, hearken.
त्यसकारण पावल उठे र हातले इसारा गर्दै उनले भने, “इस्राएलका मानिसहरू र जसले परमेश्वरलाई आदर गर्नुहुन्छ, सुन्नुहोस् ।
17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt in the land of Egypt, and with an high arme brought them out thereof.
इस्राएलका यी मानिसहरूका परमेश्वरले हाम्रा पितापुर्खाहरूलाई चुनेर र मिश्रदेशमा रहँदा तिनीहरूलाई संख्यामा धेरै बढाउनुभयो र आफ्नो उचालिएको बाहुलीद्वारा तिनीहरूलाई त्यहाँबाट बाहिर निकाल्नुभयो ।”
18 And about the time of fourtie yeeres, suffered he their maners in the wildernesse.
उहाँले झण्डै चालिस वर्षसम्म तिनीहरूलाई उजाड स्थानमा सहनुभयो।
19 And he destroied seuen nations in the land of Chanaan, and deuided their lad to them by lot.
कनानमा भएका सातवटा जातिहरूलाई उहाँले नास गरिसकेपछि हाम्रा मानिसहरूलाई तिनीहरूको भूमि आफ्नो उत्तराधिकारका लागि दिनुभयो ।
20 Then afterward he gaue vnto them Iudges about foure hundreth and fiftie yeeres, vnto the time of Samuel the Prophet.
यी सबै घटनाहरू हुन चारसय पचास वर्षको अवधिमा भएका हुन् । यी सबै कुरापछि परमेश्वरले शमूएल अगमवक्ताको समयसम्म तिनीहरूलाई न्यायकर्ताहरू दिनुभयो ।
21 So after that, they desired a King, and God gaue vnto them Saul, the sonne of Cis, a man of ye tribe of Beniamin, by the space of fourty yeres.
त्यसपछि, मानिसहरूले एउटा राजाको माग गरे, त्यसैले परमेश्वरले बेन्यामिन कुलको किशका छोरा शाऊललाई चालिस वर्षसम्मको निम्ति दिनुभयो ।
22 And after he had taken him away, he raised vp Dauid to be their King, of whom he witnessed, saying, I haue found Dauid the sonne of Iesse, a man after mine owne heart, which will doe all things that I will.
तब परमेश्वरले शाऊललाई राजाबाट हटाउनुभएपछि, उहाँले दाऊदलाई तिनीहरूको राजा हुनलाई खडा गर्नुभयो । परमेश्वरले यी नै दाऊदको बारेमा भन्नुभएको थियो, ‘यिशैका छोरा दाऊद मेरो हृदयअनुसारका मानिस भएको पाएँ र मैले चाहेको हरेक काम उनले गर्नेछन् ।’
23 Of this mans seede hath God according to his promise raised vp to Israel, ye Sauiour Iesus:
यिनै मानिसका सन्तानहरूबाट उहाँले गर्नेछु भनी प्रतिज्ञा गर्नुभएअनुसार परमेश्वरले इस्राएलमा मुक्तिदाता येशू ल्याउनुभएको छ ।
24 When Iohn had first preached before his coming the baptisme of repentance to all the people of Israel.
येशू आउनुभन्दा अगाडि नै यो हुन थाल्यो, जब यूहन्नाले पहिला इस्राएलका सबै मानिसहरूलाई पश्चात्तापको बप्तिस्माको बारेमा घोषणा गरे ।
25 And when Iohn had fulfilled his course, he saide, Whom ye thinke that I am, I am not he: but beholde, there commeth one after me, whose shooe of his feete I am not worthy to loose.
जसरी यूहन्नाले आफ्नो काम पुरा गर्दै गर्दा उनले भने, ‘तिमीहरू म को हुँ भनी विचार गर्दछौ? म त्यो होइनँ । तर सुन, मपछि एकजना आउँदैहुनुहुन्छ, जसको खुट्टाको जुत्ताको तुना फुकाल्न म योग्यको छैनँ ।’
26 Yee men and brethren, children of the generation of Abraham, and whosoeuer among you feareth God, to you is the woorde of this saluation sent.
भाइहरू, अब्राहामका वंशका सन्तानहरू, र तपाईंहरूमध्ये जसले परमेश्वरलाई आराधना गर्नुहुन्छ, यो मुक्तिबारेको सन्देश हामीहरूलाई नै पठाइएको छ ।
27 For the inhabitants of Hierusalem, and their rulers, because they knewe him not, nor yet the woordes of the Prophets, which are read euery Sabbath day, they haue fulfilled them in condemning him.
यरूशलेममा बस्नेहरू र तिनीहरूका शासकहरूले उहाँलाई वास्तमै चिनेनन्, न त हरेक शबाथमा पढिने अगमवक्ताहरूको आवजलाई नै बुझे । त्यसकारण तिनीहरूले यसरी येशूलाई मृत्यु दण्डको आज्ञा दिएर अगमवक्ताको भविष्यवाणीलाई पुरा गरे ।
28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate to kill him.
उहाँलाई मृत्यु दण्डका निम्ति कुनै पनि दोष नभेट्टाए तापनि तिनीहरूले पिलातससँग उहाँलाई मार्न माग गरे ।
29 And when they had fulfilled all things that were written of him, they tooke him downe from the tree, and put him in a sepulchre.
जब तिनीहरूले उहाँको बारेमा लेखिएका यी सबै कुराहरू पुरा गरे, तिनीहरूले उहाँलाई रुखबाट ओराले र चिहानमा राखे ।
30 But God raised him vp from the dead.
तर परमेश्वरले उहाँलाई मृत्युबाट जीवित पार्नुभयो ।
31 And hee was seene many dayes of them, which came vp with him from Galile to Hierusalem, which are his witnesses vnto the people.
गालीलदेखि यरूशलेमसम्म उहाँसँगै आएका मानिसहरूकहाँ उहाँ धेरै दिनसम्म देखापर्नु भयो । अहिले यिनीहरू नै मानिसहरूका लागि उहाँका साक्षी भएका छन् ।
32 And we declare vnto you, that touching the promise made vnto the fathers,
यसकारण हाम्रा पितापुर्खाहरूलाई प्रतिज्ञा गरिएको असल समाचार हामीले तपाईंहरूकहाँ ल्याएकाछौँ ।
33 God hath fulfilled it vnto vs their children, in that he raised vp Iesus, euen as it is written in the seconde Psalme, Thou art my Sonne: this day haue I begotten thee.
परमेश्वरले येशूलाई मृत्युबाट जीवित पार्नुहुँदा, हामी तिनीहरूका सन्तानहरूका निम्ति उहाँले यी प्रतिज्ञाहरू पुरागरिदिनुभयो । जसरी यो दोस्रो भजनमा पनि लेखिएको छः ‘तिमी मेरा पुत्र हौ, आज म तिम्रो पिता भएको छु ।’
34 Nowe as concerning that he raised him vp from the dead, no more to returne to corruption, he hath said thus, I wil giue you the holy things of Dauid, which are faithfull.
उहाँको शरीर नकुहोस् भनी उहाँले येशूलाई मृत्युबाट जीवित पार्नुभयो भन्ने तथ्यबारे उहाँले यसरी बोल्नुभएको छ, ‘म तिमीलाई दाऊदको पवित्र र निश्चित आशिष् दिनेछु ।’
35 Wherefore hee sayeth also in another place, Thou wilt not suffer thine Holy one to see corruption.
यसैकारणले गर्दा उहाँले अर्को भजन पनि यसरी भन्नुभएको छ, ‘तपाईंले आफ्नो पवित्र जनलाई कुहिन दिनुहुनेछैन ।’
36 Howbeit, Dauid after hee had serued his time by the counsell of God, hee slept, and was laid with his fathers, and sawe corruption.
किनभने दाऊदले उनको पुस्तामा परमेश्वरको इच्छाअनुसार सेवा गरेपछि, उनको मृत्य भयो र उनलाई उनका पितापुर्खाहरूसँगै राखियो र उनको शरीर कुहियो ।
37 But he whom God raised vp, sawe no corruption.
तर जसलाई परमेश्वरले जीवित पार्नुभयो उहाँलको शरीर कुहिएन ।
38 Be it knowen vnto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached vnto you the forgiuenesse of sinnes.
त्यसैले भाइहरू हो, यो कुरा तपाईंहरूलाई थाहा होस् कि यिनै मानिसद्वारा तपाईंहरूलाई पाप क्षमाको घोषणा गरिन्छ ।
39 And from al things, from which ye could not be iustified by the Law of Moses, by him euery one that beleeueth, is iustified.
विश्वास गर्ने हरेक उहाँद्वारा सबै थोकहरूबाट धर्मी ठहरिइन्छ, जसबाट मोशाको व्यवस्थाले तपाईंहरूलाई धर्मी ठहराउन सकेको थिएन ।
40 Beware therefore lest that come vpon you, which is spoken of in the Prophets,
यसैकारण होसियार हुनुहोस्, अगमवक्ताले बोलेको यो कुरा तपाईंहरूमाथि आइनपरोस्:
41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and vanish away: for I woorke a woorke in your daies, a woorke which yee shall not beleeue, if a man would declare it you.
‘घृणा गर्नेहरू हो, हेर र छक्क पर, र नष्ट भइजाओ, तिमीहरूको समयमा मैले काम गरिरहेको छु, यदि कसैले तिमीहरूलाईं यसबारे घोषणा गरे पनि तिमीहरू कहिल्यै विश्वास गर्ने छैनौ ।’”
42 And when they were come out of the Synagogue of the Iewes, the Gentiles besought, that they woulde preach these woordes to them the next Sabbath day.
पावल र बारनाबास त्यहाँबाट जान लाग्दा मानिसहरूले यी नै वचनहरू अर्को विश्राममा आएर बोलिदिनुहोस् भनी तिनीहरूलाई बिन्ती गरे ।
43 Nowe when the congregation was dissolued, many of the Iewes and Proselytes that feared God, followed Paul and Barnabas, which spake to them, and exhorted them to continue in the grace of God.
जब सभाघरको सभा अन्त्य भयो, तब धेरै यहूदीहरू र यहूदी मत मान्ने भक्तहरू पावल र बारनाबासको पछि लागे । तिनीहरूले परमेश्वरको अनुग्रहमा निरन्तर रहिरहन उनीहरूलाई उत्साह दिए ।
44 And ye next Sabbath day came almost the whole citie together, to heare the worde of God.
अर्को विश्राममा, लगभग पुरै सहर नै प्रभुको वचन सुन्नलाई सँगसँगै भेलाभएको थियो ।
45 But when the Iewes saw the people, they were full of enuie, and spake against those things, which were spoken of Paul, contrarying them, and railing on them.
जब यहूदीहरूले भिडलाई देखे, तिनीहरू डाहले भरिए, र पावलले भनेका कुराहरूको बिरुद्धमा बोल्न थाले र उनको अपमान गरे।
46 Then Paul and Barnabas spake boldly, and sayde, It was necessarie that the woorde of God shoulde first haue beene spoken vnto you: but seeing yee put it from you, and iudge your selues vnworthie of euerlasting life, loe, we turne to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)
तर पावल र बारनाबासले साहससित बोल्दै भने, “परमेश्वरको वचन पहिले तपाईंहरूकहाँ नै बोल्नु नै आवश्यक थियो । तपाईंहरूबाट धकेलिएको देखेर आफूले आफैँलाई अनन्त जीवन प्राप्त गर्नदेखि अयोग्य तुल्याउनुभएको हुनाले, हेर्नुहोस्, हामी गैरयहूदी तर्फ फर्केनेछौँ । (aiōnios g166)
47 For so hath the Lord commanded vs, saying, I haue made thee a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be the saluation vnto the end of the world.
किनभने परमेश्वरले हामीलाई यस्तो आज्ञा गर्नुभएको छ, ‘मैले तिमीलाई गैरयहूदीहरूका निम्ति ज्योतिको रूपमा राखेकोछु, र पृथ्वीको अन्तिम छेउसम्म तिमीहरूले मुक्ति ल्याउनु पर्छ ।”
48 And when the Gentiles heard it, they were glad, and glorified the woorde of the Lord: and as many as were ordeined vnto eternall life, beleeued. (aiōnios g166)
जब गैरयहूदीहरूले यो सुने, तिनीहरू खुसी भए र परमेश्वरको वचनको महिमा गरे । अनन्त जीवनका लागि नियुक्त गरिएका जतिले विश्वास गरे । (aiōnios g166)
49 Thus the worde of the Lord was published throughout the whole countrey.
त्यस सम्पूर्ण क्षेत्रभरि नै प्रभुको वचन फैलियो ।
50 But the Iewes stirred certaine deuoute and honourable women, and the chiefe men of the citie, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coastes.
तर यहूदीहरूले भक्त र महत्त्वपूर्ण स्त्रीहरू र साथ-साथै सहरका मुख्य मानिसहरूसँग पावल र बारनाबासको विरुद्धमा अनुरोध गरे । तिनीहरूले पावल र बारनाबासलाई दण्डित गरे उनीहरूलाई तिनीहरूको सहरको सिमाना कटाए ।
51 But they shooke off the dust of their feete against them, and came vnto Iconium.
तर पावल र बारनाबासले आफ्नो खुट्टामा लागेको धुलो तिनीहरूका विरुद्धमा टकटक्याए । त्यसपछि तिनीहरू आइकोनियम सहरमा गए ।
52 And the disciples were filled with ioy, and with the holy Ghost.
अनि चेलाहरू आनन्द र पवित्र आत्माले भरपुर भए ।
