Acts 13
1 There were also in the Church that was at Antiochia, certaine Prophets and teachers, as Barnabas, and Simeon called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manahen (which had bin brought vp with Herod the Tetrarche) and Saul.

2 Nowe as they ministred to the Lord, and fasted, the holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul, for the worke whereunto I haue called them.
Samtang ilang gisimba ang Ginoo ug nagpuasa, ang Balaang Espiritu miingon, “Igahin alang kanako si Barnabas ug si Saulo, aron magbuhat sa buluhaton nga akong gitawag kanila.”
3 Then fasted they and prayed, and layde their hands on them, and let them goe.
Pagkahuman sa panagtigom sa pagpuasa, nag-ampo, ug gitapion ang ilang mga kamot niining mga tawhana, sila nagpadala kanila.
4 And they, after they were sent foorth of the holy Ghost, came downe vnto Seleucia, and from thence they sayled to Cyprus.
Busa si Barnabas ug si Saulo mituman sa Balaang Espiritu ug milugsong sa Seleucia; gikan didto milayag sila padulong sa isla sa Cipre.
5 And when they were at Salamis, they preached the worde of God in the Synagogues of the Iewes: and they had also Iohn to their minister.
Sa dihang didto sila sa siyudad sa Salamis, ilang gimantala ang pulong sa Dios sa mga sinagoga sa mga Judio. Kuyog usab nila si Juan Marcos isip ilang katabang.
6 So when they had gone throughout the yle vnto Paphus, they found a certaine sorcerer, a false prophet, being a Iewe, named Bariesus,
Sa dihang naadtoan na nila ang tibuok isla sa Pafos, nakaplagan nila ang usa ka salamangkero, usa ka mini nga propeta sa mga Judio, nga ginganlan ug Bar-Jesus.
7 Which was with the Deputie Sergius Paulus, a prudent man. He called vnto him Barnabas and Saul, and desired to heare the woorde of God.
Kini nga salamangkero adunay kalambigitan sa prokonsul, Sergio Paulo, nga usa ka maalamon nga tawo. Kining tawhana ang nagpatawag kang Barnabas ug Saulo, tungod kay buot niya madungog ang pulong sa Dios.
8 But Elymas, ye sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstoode them, and sought to turne away the Deputie from the faith.
Apan si Elimas “ang salamangkero” (ingon niana ang paghubad sa iyang ngalan) misupak kanila; iyang gisulayan sa pagpalikay ang prokonsul palayo gikan sa pagtuo.
9 Then Saul (which also is called Paul) being full of the holy Ghost, set his eyes on him,
Apan si Saulo, nga gitawag usab ug Pablo, napuno sa Balaang Espiritu; siya mitutok kaniya
10 And sayde, O full of all subtiltie and all mischiefe, the childe of the deuill, and enemie of all righteousnesse, wilt thou not cease to peruert the straight waies of the Lord?
ug miingon, “Ikaw anak sa yawa, napuno ka sa tanang matang sa pagpanglimbong ug pagkadaotan. Kaaway ka sa tanang matang sa pagkamatarong. Dili ka moundang sa paglubag sa tul-id nga mga dalan sa Ginoo, dili ba?
11 Nowe therefore behold, the hand of the Lord is vpon thee, and thou shalt be blinde, and not see the sunne for a season. And immediately there fel on him a mist and a darknes; and he went about, seeking some to leade him by the hand.
Karon tan-awa, ang kamot sa Ginoo diha kanimo, ug ikaw mahimong buta. Dili nimo makita ang adlaw sa makadiyot.” Diha-diha adunay nahulog kang Elimas nga usa ka yamog ug kangitngit; ug nagsugod siya ug lakaw palibot ug naghangyo sa mga tawo nga agakon siya pinaagi sa kamot.
12 Then the Deputie when he sawe what was done, beleeued, and was astonied at the doctrine of the Lord.
Human nakita sa prokonsul kung unsa ang nahitabo, mituo siya, tungod kay hilabihan ang iyang katingala sa mga pagtulon-an mahitungod sa Ginoo.
13 Nowe when Paul and they that were with him were departed by shippe from Paphus, they came to Perga a citie of Pamphylia: then Iohn departed from them, and returned to Hierusalem.
Karon si Pablo ug ang iyang mga higala naglayag gikan sa Pafos ug miabot sa Perga didto sa Pampilya. Apan si Juan mibiya kanila ug mibalik sa Jerusalem.
14 But when they departed from Perga, they came to Antiochia a citie of Pisidia, and went into the Synagogue on ye Sabbath day, and sate downe.
Si Pablo ug ang iyang mga higala nagbiyahe gikan sa Perga ug miabot sa Antioquia sa Pisidia. Didto miadto sila sa sinagoga sa Adlaw nga Igpapahulay ug nanglingkod.
15 And after the lecture of the Law and Prophets, the rulers of ye Synagogue sent vnto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye haue any word of exhortation for the people, say on.
Human sa pagbasa sa balaod ug sa mga propeta, ang mga pangulo sa sinagoga nagpadala kanila ug mensahe nga nag-ingon, “Mga igsoon, kung aduna kamoy mensahe sa pagdasig alang sa katawhan dinhi, isulti kini.”
16 Then Paul stoode vp and beckened with the hand, and sayde, Men of Israel, and yee that feare God, hearken.
Busa si Pablo mitindog ug misinyas uban sa iyang kamot; miingon siya, “Mga katawhan sa Israel ug kamo nga nagpasidungog sa Dios, paminaw.
17 The God of this people of Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt in the land of Egypt, and with an high arme brought them out thereof.
Ang Dios niining mga katawhan sa Israel nagpili sa atong mga katigulangan ug gihimong hilabihan kadaghan ang mga tawo sa dihang nagpuyo sila sa kayutaan sa Ehipto, ug uban sa binayaw nga kamot gipangulohan niya sila pagawas niini.
18 And about the time of fourtie yeeres, suffered he their maners in the wildernesse.
Kay sa mga 40 ka mga katuigan siya nag-uban kanila didto sa kamingawan.
19 And he destroied seuen nations in the land of Chanaan, and deuided their lad to them by lot.
Pagkahuman niya ug buntog ang pito ka nasod sa yuta sa Canaan, iyang gihatagan ang atong katawhan sa ilang yuta alang sa panulondon.
20 Then afterward he gaue vnto them Iudges about foure hundreth and fiftie yeeres, vnto the time of Samuel the Prophet.
Kining tanan nga panghitabo nahitabo sa mga 450 ka mga katuigan. Human niining mga butanga, ang Dios mihatag kanila ug mga maghuhukom hangtod kang Samuel ang propeta.
21 So after that, they desired a King, and God gaue vnto them Saul, the sonne of Cis, a man of ye tribe of Beniamin, by the space of fourty yeres.
Human niini, ang mga tawo nangayo ug usa ka hari, busa ang Dios naghatag kanila kang Saul ang anak ni Kish, ang tawo nga gikan sa tribo ni Benjamin, sa panahon sa 40 ka tuig.
22 And after he had taken him away, he raised vp Dauid to be their King, of whom he witnessed, saying, I haue found Dauid the sonne of Iesse, a man after mine owne heart, which will doe all things that I will.
Unya human siya kuhaa sa Dios sa pagkahari, iyang gituboy si David aron mahimong ilang hari. Kini mahitungod kang David nga ang Dios miingon, 'Ako nang nakaplagan si David nga anak ni Jesse nga mao ang tawo sunod sa akong kasingkasing; iya gayod nga buhaton ang tanang butang nga akong gitinguha.'
23 Of this mans seede hath God according to his promise raised vp to Israel, ye Sauiour Iesus:
Gikan sa mga kaliwat niining tawhana ang Dios nagdala sa Israel ug usa ka Manluluwas, si Jesus, sama sa iyang gisaad nga buhaton.
24 When Iohn had first preached before his coming the baptisme of repentance to all the people of Israel.
Kini nagsugod ug kahitabo sa dihang, wala pa miabot si Jesus, unang gipahibalo ni Juan ang bawtismo sa paghinulsol sa tanan nga katawhan sa Israel.
25 And when Iohn had fulfilled his course, he saide, Whom ye thinke that I am, I am not he: but beholde, there commeth one after me, whose shooe of his feete I am not worthy to loose.
Samtang gihuman pa ni Juan ang iyang buluhaton, miingon siya, 'Kinsa ako sa inyong hunahuna? Dili ako ang usa. Apan paminaw, ang usa moabot sunod kanako, ang sapatos sa maong tiil dili ako takos sa pagbadbad.'
26 Yee men and brethren, children of the generation of Abraham, and whosoeuer among you feareth God, to you is the woorde of this saluation sent.
Mga igsoon, mga anak sa hanay ni Abraham, ug kadtong kauban ninyo nga nagsimba sa Dios, kini alang kanato nga ang mensahe mahitungod niining kaluwasan gipadala na.
27 For the inhabitants of Hierusalem, and their rulers, because they knewe him not, nor yet the woordes of the Prophets, which are read euery Sabbath day, they haue fulfilled them in condemning him.
Kay sila nga nagpuyo sa Jerusalem, ug ang ilang tigdumala, wala nakaila pag-ayo kaniya, o kaha ilang nasabtan pag-ayo ang mga tingog sa mga propeta nga gibasa sa matag Adlaw nga Igpapahulay; busa ilang natuman ang mga mensahe sa mga propeta pinaagi sa paghukom kang Jesus ngadto sa kamatayon.
28 And though they found no cause of death in him, yet desired they Pilate to kill him.
Bisan tuod wala nila nakaplagan ang maayong hinungdan alang sa pagpatay kaniya, sila naghangyo kang Pilato sa pagpatay kaniya.
29 And when they had fulfilled all things that were written of him, they tooke him downe from the tree, and put him in a sepulchre.
Sa dihang nakahuman na sila sa tanang butang nga nahisulat mahitungod kaniya, gikuha nila siya paubos gikan sa kahoy ug gipahigda siya sa lubnganan.
30 But God raised him vp from the dead.
Apan ang Dios nagbanhaw kaniya gikan sa mga patay.
31 And hee was seene many dayes of them, which came vp with him from Galile to Hierusalem, which are his witnesses vnto the people.
Sa daghang mga adlaw nakit-an siya niadtong misubida uban kaniya gikan sa Galilea padulong sa Jerusalem. Kining mga tawhana karon iya nang mga saksi ngadto sa katawhan.
32 And we declare vnto you, that touching the promise made vnto the fathers,
Busa kami nagdala kaninyo ug maayong balita mahitungod sa mga saad nga gihimo ngadto sa atong mga katigulangan:
33 God hath fulfilled it vnto vs their children, in that he raised vp Iesus, euen as it is written in the seconde Psalme, Thou art my Sonne: this day haue I begotten thee.
ang Dios nagtipig niini nga mga saad nganhi kanato, ilang mga anak, nga niana iyang gibanhaw si Jesus gikan sa mga patay. Mao usab kini ang nahisulat sa ikaduhang salmo: 'Ikaw ang akong anak nga lalaki, karong adlawa ako nahimo nga imong Amahan.'
34 Nowe as concerning that he raised him vp from the dead, no more to returne to corruption, he hath said thus, I wil giue you the holy things of Dauid, which are faithfull.
Mahitungod usab sa kamatuoran nga siya nagbanhaw kaniya gikan sa mga patay aron nga ang iyang lawas dili madugta, misulti siya sama niini: 'Akong ihatag kanimo ang balaan ug kasigurohan nga mga panalangin ni David.'
35 Wherefore hee sayeth also in another place, Thou wilt not suffer thine Holy one to see corruption.
Mao kini ang hinungdan nganong siya usab miingon sa lain nga salmo, 'Ikaw dili motugot nga ang imong Usa ka Balaan makasinati ug pagkadugta.'
36 Howbeit, Dauid after hee had serued his time by the counsell of God, hee slept, and was laid with his fathers, and sawe corruption.
Kay pagkahuman ni David ug human sa iyang kaugalingong kaliwatan nga mialagad sa mga tinguha sa Dios, namatay siya, ug gipahigda kauban sa iyang mga amahan, ug nakasinati ug pagkadugta,
37 But he whom God raised vp, sawe no corruption.
apan siya nga gibanhaw sa Dios wala makasinati ug pagkadugta.
38 Be it knowen vnto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached vnto you the forgiuenesse of sinnes.
Busa tugoti nga mahibaloan kini diha kaninyo, mga igsoon, nga pinaagi niining tawhana namantala diha kaninyo ang kapasayloan sa mga sala.
39 And from al things, from which ye could not be iustified by the Law of Moses, by him euery one that beleeueth, is iustified.
Pinaagi kaniya ang matag-usa nga motuo mamatarong gikan sa tanan nga mga butang diin dili kamo mahimong mamatarong pinaagi sa balaod ni Moises.
40 Beware therefore lest that come vpon you, which is spoken of in the Prophets,
Busa pagbantay nga ang butang nga gipamulong sa mga propeta dili mahitabo kaninyo:
41 Behold, ye despisers, and wonder, and vanish away: for I woorke a woorke in your daies, a woorke which yee shall not beleeue, if a man would declare it you.
'Tan-awa, kamong mga bugalbugalon, ug katingala pag-ayo ug unya mangahanaw; kay ako maghimo ug buluhaton sa inyong mga adlaw, usa ka buluhaton nga dili gayod kamo motuo, bisan pa kung adunay usa ka tawo nga magpahibalo niini kaninyo.'”
42 And when they were come out of the Synagogue of the Iewes, the Gentiles besought, that they woulde preach these woordes to them the next Sabbath day.
Samtang si Pablo ug si Barnabas mibiya, ang mga tawo nagpakiluoy kanila nga ila untang isulti ang sama nga mga pulong pag-usab sa sunod Adlaw nga Igpapahulay.
43 Nowe when the congregation was dissolued, many of the Iewes and Proselytes that feared God, followed Paul and Barnabas, which spake to them, and exhorted them to continue in the grace of God.
Sa dihang ang panagtigom sa sinagoga nahuman, daghan sa mga Judio ug ang mga matinud-anon nga proseletes ang misunod kang Pablo ug Barnabas, nga nakigsulti ngadto kanila ug nag-awhag kanila sa pagpadayon diha sa grasya sa Dios.
44 And ye next Sabbath day came almost the whole citie together, to heare the worde of God.
Sa sunod Adlaw nga Igpapahulay, halos ang tibuok siyudad nagtigom aron makadungog sa pulong sa Ginoo.
45 But when the Iewes saw the people, they were full of enuie, and spake against those things, which were spoken of Paul, contrarying them, and railing on them.
Sa diha nga ang mga Judio nakakita sa panon, napuno sila sa pangabugho ug misultig pagsupak sa mga butang nga gipamulong ni Pablo ug miinsulto kaniya.
46 Then Paul and Barnabas spake boldly, and sayde, It was necessarie that the woorde of God shoulde first haue beene spoken vnto you: but seeing yee put it from you, and iudge your selues vnworthie of euerlasting life, loe, we turne to the Gentiles. (aiōnios g166)
Apan si Pablo ug Barnabas misulti nga maisogon ug miingon, “Kini kinahanglan nga ang pulong sa Dios mauna ug sulti diha kaninyo. Sa paglantaw kaninyo nga gituklod kini palayo gikan sa inyong kaugalingon ug giila ang inyong kaugalingon nga dili takos sa kinabuhing walay kataposan, tan-awa, mobalik kami sa mga Gentil. 47 For so hath the Lord commanded vs, saying, I haue made thee a light of the Gentiles, that thou shouldest be the saluation vnto the end of the world.
Kay mao kini ang gimando sa Ginoo kanamo, nga nag-ingon, 'Ako nagbutang kanimo isip usa ka kahayag alang sa mga Gentil, nga kinahanglan nimong dad-on ang kaluwasan ngadto sa pinakalayo nga mga bahin sa kalibotan.'”
48 And when the Gentiles heard it, they were glad, and glorified the woorde of the Lord: and as many as were ordeined vnto eternall life, beleeued. (aiōnios g166)
Sa pagkadungog sa mga Gentil niini, nalipay sila ug gidayeg ang pulong sa Ginoo. Daghan ang gipili sa kinabuhing walay kataposan nga mituo. (aiōnios g166)
49 Thus the worde of the Lord was published throughout the whole countrey.
Ang pulong sa Ginoo mikaylap ngadto sa tibuok rehiyon.
50 But the Iewes stirred certaine deuoute and honourable women, and the chiefe men of the citie, and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and expelled them out of their coastes.
Apan ang mga Judio nag-awhag sa mga matinud-anon ug mahinungdanong kababayen-an, ug ang mga nag-unang kalalakin-an sa siyudad. Kini nagpasugod sa paglutos batok kang Pablo ug Barnabas ug gilabay sila paggawas lagpas sa utlanan sa ilang siyudad.
51 But they shooke off the dust of their feete against them, and came vnto Iconium.
Apan si Pablo ug Barnabas mitaktak sa abog gikan sa ilang tiil batok kanila. Unya miadto sila sa siyudad sa Iconio.
52 And the disciples were filled with ioy, and with the holy Ghost.
Ug ang mga disipulo napuno sa kalipay ug uban sa Balaang Espiritu.
